French bistro with whitewashed bricks and banquette seating, plus a wood-panelled cocktail lounge.
"An all-day Mayfair bistro that serves everything from tiger prawn tacos to rigatoni alla vodka, NAC is maintaining it’s Monday-to-Wednesday EOTHO offer for all of September." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
"NAC, a popular French-inspired bistro in Mayfair, is a destination for its famous crushed milk chocolate cookies with Frosties soft serve. But you should know that they also have a killer Speculoos french toast with raspberries and clotted cream. The fluffy, photogenic piece of brioche is available for brunch and an all-day dessert, and deserves more recognition than it gets. Sit in the downstairs dining room, filled with green velvet sofas that are perfect for groups. Just make sure you book as lots of other people want a bite of that french toast too. "We’re going to do something different and start with the negatives of the pancakes at this all-day, French-inspired Mayfair spot. They’re only available on weekends, which seems like a rather selfish thing to do to the pancake-deprived people of London. The positives: the fluffy ricotta pancakes at NAC are light as air, which is why the thick dulce de leche sauce it’s drowned in pairs perfectly. It’s also topped with banana which makes for a fancy banoffee situation. This is a super popular place so don’t turn up without a booking." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Whatever time of day it is, at least a third of the diners at NAC will be tucking into its famous crushed milk chocolate cookies with Frosties soft serve. The downstairs dining room of the French-style bistro in Mayfair is where you want to be. It's filled with green velvet sofas that are perfect for groups and has pretty pink walls. The street-level room feels more like an in-and-out brunch situation, with couples sharing truffle mac and cheese, and a view of the outdoor terrace that stays relatively packed out even in the winter. The food is from all over the place—you’ll find veal schnitzel and ahi tuna poke bowls on the all-day menu. While it may not blow you away, the dishes are consistently pretty decent. The best time to come is on the weekend for brunch, when you should absolutely get involved with the excellent ricotta pancakes and the speculoos french toast. Just make sure you book as lots of other people want a bite of those pancakes too. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak
