A Hand Roll Bar With Caviar Bumps and Other Miami Openings This Month | Eater Miami

"Panamanian chain, Nacionsushi , opened its first U.S. location at the Doral Square Shopping Mall. The restaurant has over 40 locations across South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. It’s popular for its XL rolls — a large sushi roll that’s heavy on the fish, light on the rice. Nacionsushi also serves fried rice, tacos, and a crispy pizza of sushi toppings on a toasted rice crust." - Laine Doss

Nacion Sushi - Review - Doral - Miami - The Infatuation

"Nacion Sushi’s menu is over twenty pages long with bao buns, sushi rolls, and an entire section dedicated to keto-friendly dishes. The Latin American chain started in Panama and its first US location lands in Doral." - Mariana Trabanino

First time trying this restaurant and the food was good but the dining experience was not. We were a party of 2 and the restaurant was not busy while we were there . Our server Alisson was not attentive and seemed disinterested in her job. She asked if we wanted alcohol and when we said no she left to her other table without coming back to us , she didn’t ask what we wanted to drink because she left to the other table that came in after us. They got drinks and appetizer by the time she came back to us. When she finally came back she took our drink order and food order at the same time. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. The food came out fast but one of the entree came out before we got our appetizers. We ordered Taquitos Tuk Tuk ,Tuna Onigiri, Salmon Daidai Salad and a Rice-less Tuna Roll. At the end of our meal Alisson did not show us the bill and sped through the payment process on her mini tablet/machine and just showed the total and said she can’t go back and print the receipt because she “already” put no? We paid and I asked her for a copy and she reluctantly printed and I noticed she had automatically added a 18% tip without telling us and we had already left a tip so now she had almost a 40% tip. I told her we needed a refund and she said that the 18% tip was not for her but for the restaurant and she didn’t get any of that money because she has to share. I am not sure what the process is for this restaurant but it is extremely unprofessional and dishonest to automatically add a tip and not tell the customer. I understand if this was a large party but we were a table of two. I have worked in restaurants and I have never seen this or done this if tip was included I would tell my table . Alisson ruined the experience and while the food was good I think I will get it to-go in the future and avoid eating inside for surprise charges and bad service.

The very first Nacionsushi in the USA is now open in Doral Miami! This beloved Latin American restaurant founded in Panama in 2014 is definitely a game changer swapping the traditional minimalist décor for a striking mix of colorful art, glowing with a neon-lit energy, house beats, and the broadest menu of Japanese and Southeast Asian flavors. This daring approach turned a single local restaurant into one of Latin America’s most successful hospitality exports. Now with more than 40 restaurants across 11 markets including Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. I live in Aventura but the food here was definitely worth the drive. Our server was all very friendly and attentive. We hope to come back very soon as they’ve so many delicious food in the menu and we want to try them all!

Visited Nacionsushi with my fiancé and we had a great experience. The menu is long, but we loved having so many options. The ambiance was a 10/10. We tried the original and mango sangrias; the original was delicious, the mango wasn’t my favorite. I don’t remember the names of the rolls we ordered, but the riceless tuna roll was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The gyozas were just okay, not the best I’ve had, but still fine. Our server was great, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu.

The food was okay 👌🏻 but the ambiance and the service really stand out. The atmosphere is enjoyable and the staff is very friendly and attentive. A nice spot mainly for the experience rather than the sushi itself.

Jackie was very nice and great service! I am from Panama where the establishment originated and I am so happy to have this place from my home here. They truly got it right and it’s so delicious! The lunch special is just $15.50 for an appetizer, sushi, dessert and sangria. Amazing price.

Nacionsushi has always been our favorite sushi spot in the Dominican Republic⭐️, and we’re so excited they finally opened in Doral, right near home! Ever since the owner mentioned they were bringing it to the U.S., we’ve been eager to visit—and it did not disappoint. The place itself looks stunning😍bright, colorful, and full of energy. I also love that their menu has pictures, which makes it so easy to choose from their wide variety of dishes. The sushi is fantastic🍱🍣. What really makes them stand out is how generous they are with the protein—lots of fresh meat and fish, and less filler, so it’s satisfying without being too heavy on carbs. Their sangria was also amazing, perfectly balanced and refreshing. To top it off, the dessert was a great finishing touch. Our server Claudia was wonderful👌🏼so nice, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!😊

THIS PLACE IS PERFECT! Best sushi in Miami, it was very fresh! The restaurant is amazing staff treats you so well and checks on you constantly. Our servers were the best. This place was really amazing! The godzilla rolls insane. You're getting huge portions and it tastes very fresh! The samurai cocktail is SO GOOD. I want to come here all the time. Everything was 10/10. We usually dine at Gables but we will be coming to this doral location weekly. Obsessed, it looks like a brickell Michelin star restaurant. The sushi is very fresh! Perfect date restaurant. Super intimate and romantic!

Yelp
This is legit my new favorite restaurant. Id give it more stars if i could. Everything was so ridiculously good. And the ambience of the restaurant is soo nice. Really cool decor and atmosphere. Wonderful service. Food came out quick. The to go box and bag are cute. The bag is even reusable! The sangrias are $4 and delicious! We also got the onigiri, pad thai, soy nacion sushi roll, and the brownie. Seriously guys this is a great place to come on a cute date or with a group.

Yelp
Had such a great experience at Nacionsushi, definitely a 5-star spot in my book! The ambience is stylish and well put together, perfect for a relaxing lunch or a nice dinner with friends. Our server, Jackeline, went above and beyond. She gave us amazing recommendations, including the Roll Roys and Godzilla rolls, which were both excellent choices, fresh, flavorful, and full of texture. The highlight for me was the Smoked Salmon Pizza, it was the reason I came and it did not disappoint. Crispy, savory, and a real treat. Although we skipped the alcoholic drinks this time, we tried a few of their natural juices. The lemonade with honey was surprisingly good, and the pineapple lemon coconut juice, another of Jackeline's suggestions, was light, sweet, and super refreshing. Great food, amazing service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu!

Yelp
Wow what an experience is coming to this new asian place in Doral! From the moment you come in you know you are at a special place, the decoration is super cool and unique, I really loved the videos and images on the tv showcasing their dishes, the table that has a tree in the middle, the wall decor... everything is very fun and entertaining! The Menu I think I couldn't see it all, it has so much variety that I just wanted to keep going page to page as if I was seeing a magazine, even the kids menu has great options. Now to the best part, the foooooood, I loved it, the appetizers I tried were delicious and the sushi rolls as well (there was one roll with plantain that was good but it didnt had much plantain it would have been perfect with the amount of plantain shown on the menu)... to drink the RED sangria was also amazing and refreshing. Lastly why I didnt give the 5 stars, the service, our server was not too friendly, we asked about certain items and she was very short and like didn't wanted to talk or explain much, for a new restaurant they need to look into this! The front of the house guys was very friendly and even opened our door when we left so that was very nice! Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
The sushi royalty from South America has landed in Doral and I am here for it. I went to their Medellin location may years ago and I had to see if it still held up. We started with drinks like the Golden Gai and Samurai Punch as we admired the beautiful restaurant then came the taquitos tuktuk three crispy gyozas with tuna taretare avocado truffle oil and wasabi mayo. Then I had a teenage crush on this tuna crush. This place is all about food inclusion. Then came the gorgeous salmon pizza, picture a crispy rice shaped into a pizza. We then had the warrior staple: baos. We went with the chicken bao which felt so delicious and healthy. This crispy onigiri - a symbol of strength and I loved it. We had to try the iconic street food of Thailand, pad Thai. Now on to the best part, the sushi rolls. We ordered the Roll Roys, the atomiko because I'm obsessed with salmon, seaweed and cream cheese. The Kyoto. My favorite of the night, the Godzilla. All of their rolls are huge, we left rolling out of there. The service is unmatched, the team stops by to check on your consistently, and their customizable menu allows it to be friendly for everyone the space is beautiful. It makes it a safe spot for all friends to gather. No matter their preferences or dietary restrictions/requirements.

Yelp
Our 1st time here, and it did not disappoint! Our server, Gene was exactly what was needed to complete the experience. The food was outstanding and fresh Godzilla Roll and Keyoto Roll were amazing. Loved the ambiance, we will be back!

Yelp
I was so excited to try Nacion Sushi because it had been under construction for a long time. Unfortunately, the ambiance and aesthetic of the space is better than the food. We ordered 1) the shrimp stir-fry which was super salty 2) chicken fillet teriyaki was so dry it was even hard to cut and bite into 3) the Roll Roys which the waiter said it was one of the most popular rolls was pretty good but the fresh salmon was 70% of the roll and it was overpowering. We requested eel sauce to eat with the roll and we were charged $3 which I thought was unnecessary. While the restaurant and plate presentations are beautiful, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for its food.

Yelp
The food was amazing 10/10 recommend! The vibes of the place was giving. The drinks were also really good. I never walked into a restaurant so nice and modern and at the same time with culture. Only thing was our server didn't know what she was doing.

Yelp
I tried this in Panama and had to have it in Miami. Food was good, service was good, but charging me $2 per sauce is criminal.

Yelp
On a recommendation we went to Nacionsushi and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. The service was quick and everything came out exactly as we ordered. The menu was a pages long but we were able to order enough to get a taste of most things. The sushi was extremely filling and my favorite dish was the crab salad.

Yelp
Great sushi spot. The menu is very extensive and well illustrated. They have something for everyone. Whoever design the menu deserves a bonus. Great casual restaurant. The food is identical to the way it looks on the menu. They don't cut corners. Service is great as well. Be aware that an 18% tip is added automatically, which is becoming the norm. I'm glad we drove all the way to try this new place. I told the family that if we left hungry there is a raising canes a few blocks east. My concern was the portions. One roll is enough for a "normal" eating adult. Other places in Miami you need to order two rolls. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I've enjoyed NacionSushi throughout my trips in Latin America, so I was excited to see them open in the U.S. This new spot delivers exactly what I was hoping for, happy to have a taste of that experience here in Florida.
