A quaint, cozy location in the heart of Korea Town. Nadri Korean Tea House has the traditional teas from Korea with more modern teas worldwide. With a few sweet snacks that pair well with the teas that you can get, it is deliciously refreshing.
The decor inside is traditionally Korean with pieces of teaware and smaller doll-sized hanboks lining a wall. Although, there are flowers on each of the larger tables and a small cushion on each chair. The music is soft and relaxing -- similar to what you might hear at a massage parlor.
I came here with my roommate and we each got a tea, the Burdock Root and Dongle. The Burdock tea was earthy and tasted similar to a type of Chinese herbal tea that my mother always brewed when growing up. As for the dongle tea, it was more of a nutty flavor. Both of us agreed that the dongle was better. We also ordered a rice cake toast which was sweet, but went well with both teas.
The owner is a very nice Korean lady who actually also gave us a taiyaki, on the house. Overall, I would definitely come here again. The prices are a little bit expensive, but you are paying for the atmosphere and the preparation of each tea (which you can ask for a hot water refill).
