20 Excellent Lunch Options in Downtown Chicago | Eater Chicago

"The local Middle Eastern chain makes things simple. Choose a pita or bowl; add meats, salads, and garnishes; and finish it off with sauces. What separates it from the competition is the quality — the fluffy bread is baked on site, juicy chicken shawarma comes straight off the spit, and the falafel bear a perfectly crisp exterior." - Jeffy Mai

Where to Eat Near Your River North Office | Eater

"Let’s start with the homemade pitas, because... well, do we really need to explain why? Once you’ve tasted the warm, pillowy pitas at Naf Naf, you’re ruined for everywhere else. Fill them up with juicy chicken shawarma, steak marinated in Middle Eastern seasonings, or freshly made falafel, and add a variety of crunchy veggies and colorful sauces, plus an order of fries or some of the best lentil soup you’ve ever tasted, and you’ll wonder why the line out the door isn’t even longer. Lucky for you, they take online orders." - Vox Creative

Ordered delivery. Two, build your own bowls. I had a hummus base ($0.65 upcharge), it felt light on thr hummus and ingredients. But overall it tasted fine.

Best Naf Naf experience ever, after long time. Staff was very friendly, took time to make food. Food was amazing, staff was caring and very polite. This location has amazing views of Willis tower as well as for train fans - views of Amtrak and metra yards.

Naf Naf offers a delightful culinary experience with its flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine. From their succulent shawarma wraps to their aromatic falafel platters, every dish bursts with authentic taste and quality ingredients. The restaurant's vibrant ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, making it a great spot for both quick bites and leisurely meals. The service is efficient and friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit every time. Ramish, the person who was serving the food, was exceptionally pleasant and respectful, adding to the positive experience. My only minor critique is that I wish the pita bread was served a little warmer to enhance the dining experience even further. Whether you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or just looking to explore new flavors, Naf Naf is definitely worth a visit.

The subway of middle eastern food. The food isn't bad at all. The falafels might look overcooked, but are tender, juicy & delicious. The chicken schwarma pita however didn't have nearly enough chicken. Still, it is fairly priced and offers some variety from the usual cuisine in the area. The place itself is very modern and for the most part clean. There was an obvious small pile of food on the floor in the dining area that they neglected no matter how many times they walked past it which is kind of wild because the place was empty almost the entire time I was there. The bathroom is a mess as well and definitely needs to be cleaned.

Employee doesn't seem to understand to give you the toppings you ask for. Basically, he refused to give me hummus because he said he already put it on my pita. Threw my food away and left, money in the trash. Untenable experience

I am from Texas and I fell in love with this place last time I came here. So when I came back to Chicago I ran here fast as I could. Food and service was amazing. Please open one in Austin Texas.

Warm your PITAS!!! I didn't give 5 stars because of two reasons: the first being that the pita was cold and it would have been nice if they warmed it up for takeout. The second is that the sauce containers are small and not enough portions of sauce for the entire dinner plate option. I recommend getting two sauces since the container size for the sauce is a very small portion. I had the garlic sauce which is their most popular and also had the lemon sauce. The garlic sauce was like a vinaigrette went very well with the chicken shawarma and pita. The lemon sauce was more creamy and was perfect with the falafels. My partner had the tahini sauce and it was hella salty. Would not recommend. And also had the harissa sauce which is their spiciest but wasn't really spicy. The falafels were my favorite part of the dinner plate. They were bland flavor wise but they were crispy and crunchy on the outside and moist and soft in the inside when you bite into it. I used the lemon sauce to dip them in so I was okay with the blandness of them. I like that the dinner plate comes with two protein options. It was nice to sample the chicken shawarma and falafels. Added some olives, shredded beets, and a pickle spear when I got home and used my own hummus too. They do offer hummus and pickles there but I preferred mine at home. The pitas are excellent when warmed up in the microwave for 30 seconds just wish they warmed them up at the restaurant. I felt very satisfied with the portion size and it was a light and fulfilling dinner for the price, was around $26-28 for two dinner plates to go. Will be coming back.

I had a falafel bowl with spicy hummus, coucous, pickles, cabbage, onions & harissa. The falafel was made fresh and tasted great. The couscous was cold but so were the toppings so it balanced out. As always, the bread was good, but also cold. It's 1000× better hot. This location was clean, but the bathroom needed attention. (They have ancient locking mechanisms for the bathroom doors that clash with the modern look of the place.)
