"Going from steam-table hole-in-the-wall to a small cook-to-order eatery to a casual, tree-lined, open-air restaurant, Naam Yoi has cemented its identity as a solid family restaurant with a canon of tried-and-true dishes. Ingredients are obtained daily from local markets by the auntie of the family who is the head chef. Homestyle classics like river snail curry, spicy stir-fry of split gill mushrooms, and braised pork rule the roost here." - Michelin Inspector

"Kung siap: Shrimp skewered and slowly dried over coals is one of Phuket’s most famous ingredients. Generally, they’re pounded up with garlic, chilies, and shrimp paste in the form of a naam phrik, a spicy Thai-style dip or relish typically accompanied by a selection of vegetables and herbs. Try naam phrik kung siap at Nam Yoi Restaurant." - Austin Bush

This is another go-to restaurant in Phuket that I genuinely have to visit every single time! It's all thanks to the intense, bold flavors, charming prices, and, most importantly, excellent ingredients served without holding back. Every Southern Thai dish here is incredibly "authentic" and well-executed. The curries, in particular, are packed with flavor and truly spicy. If you're not great with heat, you might want to let the staff know when you order. For all these reasons, this place has become an absolute favorite of ours! Just a small heads-up: if you come in the evening, it can get quite busy, so you might need to circle a bit to find parking.

The food was incredibly delicious and comforting, made with only the finest, raw ingredients. This place offers amazing and thoughtful service. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking it out! If you come around noon prepared to wait an hour!

Pretty humid, as per phuket weather. The curry crab was excellent. The fried fish , fishball, vegetable, was good as well. Highlight for me is the crab curry! Oooo the stir fried petai pork, was special. Yes come come come!

You won't be sorry, every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. It's our number 1 restaurant to go back to when we return to Phuket.

The place is awesome! It’s a local favorite that serves authentic Thai food. The food is absolutely delicious (for visitors but local might say that it is too plain or the soup is too light)

Locals recommended restaurant. Michelin award 5 years straight is enough to guarantee the authenticity and popularity of this place. I can't really recommend which menu to order because every dish we ordered was so good! If you can't decide which to order I recommend to order everything on their recommendation menus written on the board you won't be disappointed. Real taste of Phuket. This place doesn't allow a reservation, first come first serve only, and during peak time it is going to be very crowded. However, the queue management is pretty effective. Great taste with reasonable price. All menus have English translated.

A fantastic southern Thai / Phuket restaurant that is loved by locals. All the food was amazing and affordable at the same time. Plus, not all dishes were spicy, for those who cannot handle them. Highly recommended.

Amazing food!!! Also very nice staff and a lot of room to sit outside. A bit noisy from the nearby street but still great Ambient due to the many Plants around. Easy to park with motorbike.
