Located in a food hall with street parking. No AC so in the summer it can get a little warm inside. The food was fantastic with great portions. One of the best pad Thai I had since moving to Washington. Not too sweet, tangy, spicy. Husband had the fried garlic chicken I believe and he said that was fantastic as well. Owner (I think) was super sweet and asked us how we liked her food afterwards. Highly recommend! If we didn’t live so far we would be here more often.

I think I just found my new favorite Thai restaurant! I got the crispy garlic chicken and it did not disappoint. It was crispy crunchy in every bite. I also did a side order of lumpia. I was skeptical about Thai lumpia because I am used to Filipino lumpia, but omg, it was SO good. So crispy and fresh, full of flavor. I’m definitely gonna crave this soon. 10/10 experience

Got takeout from this place on my lunch break. Good prices. Good flavor. Generous portions. Wish my pad Thai was a little spicier. Place is hard to find if you've never been there before and finding parking is hard.

This restaurant has quickly become my go-to spot for fried rice in town! I’ve visited twice and tried several dishes, including pork lumpia, pineapple fried rice, crab fried rice, basil fried rice, and Penang curry with tofu. The lumpia is fresh and delicious, with a generous portion perfect for sharing. The fried rice is outstanding, reminding me of the Asian-style fried rice I crave, with the crab fried rice standing out as the best in terms of portion size, price, and flavor. The Penang curry is simple yet enjoyable. For convenience, I recommend ordering about 20 minutes ahead and using their own website for pickup, as it avoids the steep markup on delivery platforms and often comes with larger portions. The service is excellent—they even bring the food directly to your car if you're waiting. Overall, a fantastic spot for delicious, high-quality fried rice!. Not a usual spot for convenient dine in.

Google
Pad thai + Diet Coke for $14!! This is such an amazing price for thai takeout. It could’ve been a bit more spicy as I chose medium but couldn’t taste any spice at all. Though, very authentic. Not only was the food extremely good, the person working was extremely friendly.💗 I really wanted to try their other dishes but due to the Ateez concert at the dome & busy times they narrowed their menu to 4-5 items which is such a smart idea!! This adaptation just comes to show how much the restaurant cares for its customers & staff to reduce wait times and maintain high quality food. I’ll be back when I’m in Tacoma again for the Seventeen concert🥳!

PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to Nana Thai - they are fabulous!!!! Seriously, these folks know Thai!! We have just found our new favorite Thai food place!! Insanely delicious dishes ( and we are picky when it comes to Thai) that are wok-hot, perfectly seasoned, and just such a pleasure to eat! They use high- quality ingredients in the dishes we ate ( Thai Basil Beef, Chicken Panang and Crab Wontons) that had an amazing balance of meat, spices, vegetables and sauces. The Thai Basil Beef, in particular, was spectacular with nice big chunks of very flavorful beef, mushrooms, onions and plenty of great basil! A nice little kick of heat with chili produced an outstanding dish. The Panang was divine as well!! The Crab Wontons were stuffed with a delicious crabby filling and fried nice and crispy. Loved them with their great chili sauce. We can't think of a meal we've enjoyed this much in a long time! The server was very sweet and friendly. Just a wonderful experience! We highly recommend Nana Thai. It is in the Freighthouse Center and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back and have already recommended them to our family and friends.

The food here is so fire! Honestly everything is good. I’ve been to a lot of Thai spots and this one is the best in Tacoma for sure. My fav is the crab fried rice and the crispy garlic chicken. Also the owners are so nice. You can tell they know what they’re doin’ in that kitchen too!

Yelp
Stellar! Best thai we have had in Tacoma by a landslide. We got the Khao Soi, the Crying tiger, thai iced teas, and the mango sticky rice. Nothing was too sweet, everything was perfectly salted, and the flavors were amazing. The staff were so nice and friendly and happy to see us really enjoying their wonderful food. Can't wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu.

Yelp
The food was delicious, but they forget my mango sticky rice. For context, they close promptly at 7pm. We ordered at 6:30pm, paid at the counter, and I asked them to bring the mango sticky after the main dishes for "dessert". The server agreed. Several restaurants ring the common seating area and the Friday night happy hour crowd was rowdy. At 7pm, the building security closed the building and practically escorted everyone out--but I never got my mango sticky rice. I tipped them 20% on the full meal at the counter. It's too bad. The ingredients were fresh and we liked our main dishes.

It's a to-go spot and not really dine in place. Ambience is rustic.

Yelp
This place is so good. The lumpia was flavorful and crispy, but not oily. We also got the phad see ew which had that wok he char that so many places are missing. The crispy bits were full of flavor and are my favorite parts. The noodles were soft and sauced evenly and it tasted great. Definitely would order again.

Yelp
This place was delicious! I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu and no spice because I can't handle spice and it still had amazing flavor. It was also a very generous portion. The woman taking my order was very kind. It is located in the Freight-house square complex and should not be missed for delightful Thai food. There are tons of chars and tables throughout the building to sit and eat as well as right where you order from. It's not the most elegant area but it is still nice.

Yelp
The food is really good. Wr ordered take out and had the pad Thai and crispy garlic chicken. The pad Thai was cooked well and they put peanuts on the side which we liked. Crispy garlic chicken was good flavor and if it had a little less breading would make it GREAT! The best thing was that they offer THAI TEA w/OATMILK!! And it's delicious!! Service was fast and friendly. NOTE: The restaurant is located in the old Freight house square so there is no signage out front.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this wonderful dining experience. We live in Seattle and for fun decided to take Sounder to Tacoma and poke around. Loved the vibe of the Freighthouse at the station and the Pike Place feel. Chose Nana Thai Street Food for our dinner option and WOW! Great flavors, authentic, big portion and good prices. The young lady that took orders and served was professional and charming. Highly recommend. Part two...We liked the experience so much (love Thai food) that we drove down a week later for another meal. Another great meal and now we expect to make it a regular option for a meal. Stunned and sad when they told us the Freighthouse might be going away to make room for more trains? Seems like the city should partner with the Sounder people to improve the building and allow the small businesses to remain. Protecting the unique feel and site should be a priority.

Yelp
Had the crab fried rice and smoked bacon fried rice. Very delightful ( not the best I had not going to lie) but for price and portion they are very decent. The one that tricky is finding this place. So it's located INSIDE like a food court along with others. Parking is very hard to find. Have to park in the street. It's good only if you arrived with train, very convenient i guess cause it's right when you exited. It's like a VERY small version of pikes place type of area, with some cute local stores.

Yelp
In my experience, often when you go to a Thai place, they have one or two good plates. Here at Nana's everything we had was outstanding.

We had such a good time here! We have never had Pad Thai, and let's just say we are obsessed! The lumpias are amazing, as well as the Thai tea and peach tea! The customer service is world-class, and we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Amazing food! We called in for pickup and our food was ready almost exactly 15 minutes later. It was hot, fresh, and the best Tom Kha and Pad Thai I've ever had. Reasonable prices and decent portion sizes. We'll be back!
