The Hottest Restaurants in Denver Right Now, Winter 2024

"Bursting onto the scene in October with a Boulder sibling right behind it and more locations in the works, this LoHi purveyor of diverse Chinese dishes became an overnight smash hit as much for its atmosphere as its food. Lit with red lanterns, the former Old Major/Fifth String space emits supper-clubby vibes that make cocktails like the Ginger Dragon Margarita, rather than tea, feel like just the thing to go with truffle soup dumplings, beef pancake rolls, and black bean spareribs." - Eater Staff

Yelp
A local favorite, gets almost full in evening time, better to make reservation ahead of time. They have beautiful interior, with full bar, wonderful garden area outdoor seating and gorgeous dining hall infused with red lighting ambiance. For family dinner we ordered several items among which spicy cucumber, calamari, chili chicken were the best dishes for me. Beef noodle soup was good, but the beef could have been more tender. Other dim sum items like shau mai, dumplings, fried sesame balls were okay to me. But they make good soup dumplings. There's a window in the back where you can see the dumpling crew making all the good stuff. We tried some of the drinks as well, loved the thai milk tea I got. Mango tea was refreshing as well. The service is decent, little bit difficult to get help when it's crowded. Food comes out within a short time. Overall a good place for big family style meal with a group.

Yelp
Service great but the food not so much. The food tasted like they were were frozen section and they just heated it up Presentation for sui mai 2/5 and taste 2/5 I had tried authentic sui mai made in house and for the price? They're usually bigger and juicer. The sui mai was also in the corner of the bamboo tray I think they can really buy bamboo tray that PERFECTLY fits the sui mai instead of opening it to see them all scrambled everywhere in the tray Its quite a disappointment Same with the fried sesame red bean Theyre tiny and i can taste more powdery There was no crispy to it, they might not know how to fry it This place is overpriced for their dimsum for the quality work In addition, i did not order any dumpling but they added service fee for the dumpling chef? I dont like how they did that. I understand if i ordered dumplings and the service fee was added. However i didnt so i didnt find the reason for that As a chinese trying chinese place, I would've rated this place 2/5 for trying but the staff was really nice so + 1 stars

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner at Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings, which exceeded our expectations. The restaurant, located in the former Old Major space in LoHi, offers traditional Chinese dim sum dishes like Shumai steamed dumplings, red chili wonton soup, and bao buns. We sat at the bar, which features indoor-outdoor seating, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere and music, making it a great spot for a date night. The menu may be small, but it's packed with creative and flavorful options. Standouts included the Jumbo Crab Rangoons, made with real crab and served with a homemade sweet chili sauce and fresh crab meat, and the Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings, which had a thin, lightly chewy wrapper that kept the soup inside. The Steamed BBQ Pork Buns were also impressive, with a pillowy texture and a delicious filling of tender meat and a balanced sauce. The classic Shumai steamed dumplings were perfectly cooked, with a tender filling and wrapper. Finally, the Shrimp & Pork Pan-Fried Dumpling was a highlight, thanks to the addition of sweet potato to the wrapper, which gave it an interesting purple color. What really impressed us was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Our bartender, Rachel, was knowledgeable and warm, guiding us through the menu and making recommendations based on our preferences. She even whipped up a mean cocktail! Her expertise and friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable.

Yelp
I really do try not to be a restaurant repeater but there are some serious exceptions I can't stop visiting- this being one. Nanas has no fault in my eyes. The service is incredible all the ways through, someone's always checking in on you but not in a pestering way. Recommendations are always spot on (i've never had a bad bite here). The menu is big and caters to all preferences I'm still eating my way through it and am more impressed with each visit. The thumblings in my opinion are the BEST bite in Denver. The one repeat item we can't seem to stop thinking about. The pan fried dumplings have a thick chewy texture and the filling is oh so juicy. The beef pancakes are a new favorite - pro hack: order the spicy cucumbers with these and pop out the plain cucumber for a spicy one. Just trust me on this it's a game changer. The ambiance here is always amazing no matter where you're seated. You can watch the dumplings be handmade in the back and enjoy the colorful decor throughout that makes the space so inviting. The bar area is super cool too and opens up to the patio in the summer. Can't go wrong here! We love you Nanas!!!

Yelp
Pricey but overall a great experience! Lychee drink yes! Shumai and the beef noodle soup on point! It can definitely get busy, but we were visiting from out of town so decided give it a try! Got sat right away! Server was very nice and told us we had a lot of food but we didnt care lol def would go again!! Ate twice there on our trip:)

Yelp
Located in the bustling highlands Denver neighborhood, when you walk in it seems like a Singaporean red light throwback with dim lighting and lots of fancy Asian decor, like a looping dragon model overhanging the dining area. BBQ buns - smaller than typical size - cha siu bau as you would expect. Very good. Shrimp and pork dumplings - they actually delivered us the chive and pork. Decent, nothing special. Spicy cucumber salad - cut into stalks so there was minimal cucumber surface to spicy sauce ratio, versus the more typical quarter slices. Stir fried green beans - wise choice because of the perfect texture, crunch and salt levels. A must order for green beans fans! Nanas specialty beef noodle soup - very good with a dark onion based broth, very tender beef cubes, fresh bok choy and spaghetti noodles as you would expect. Big bowl - but highly recommend. Shrimp stir fried udon - mild flavoring, super plump shrimp. Noodles a tad on the soft and chewy side. Overall a great vibe and menu. That's all...

Yelp
Stopped by Nana's for Mile High Asian Food Week, I'm a fan of the ordering process and the Shrimp Dumplings! We dined in around 4:30 on a weekday, and were one of maybe 3 tables there? The host relayed that he wouldn't seat me until my whole party (2 total) were present and told me I could sit at the bar until they arrived. I ordered the Mango Tea, without boba. After checking me out at the bar, my party of two was seated on the side patio, which honestly just lacked the ambience we were hoping. I felt like I was sitting in an alley, no music or decor. We were under the impression that this restaurant would be offering a special menu for MHAFW, but to our surprise, the server had no knowledge of any specials and ended up giving us 10% off after mentioning it. Now, the food. My favorite of the 4 menu items we tried was definitely the Shrimp dumplings. I even placed a second order! We also ordered the BBQ buns, the Xiao Long Soup Buns, and one other dish. We found the BBQ buns to be too doughy, and I didn't particularly enjoy the other items we ordered, but that could've very well been my lack of experience with traditional dim sum cuisine. I definitely want to give this spot another try, try some other items on the menu, and get those Shrimp Dumplings again.

Yelp
Had a friend in town that wanted to have some soup dumplings and this was fairly close to Meow Wolf and the perfect lunch spot. I bet at night the aesthetic with dim lighting and decor is awesome. The staff was very friendly and asked if it was our first time dining in. They explained the menu and recommended some favorites. We opted for some soup dumplings and the fingerling dumplings, and cucumber salad. Everything tasted very good and I look forward to coming back and trying other things.

Yelp
Yessss. So glad I went here for lunch while in town. Everything was super delicious, and this place was poppin' but the food came out rather quickly. I do recommend the boba tea (mango green tea, specifically). It hit the spot, especially with the spiciness of what we ordered and the chili oil we used. The hot and sour soup was spicy, but it was perfect for an unexpected snow day. I think the cucumber salad and firecrackers were the standouts, despite ordering a few dumplings. I don't think you can go wrong here, but I'm definitely not a chicken feet person. The service was superb, I loved the decor and music, but parking can be a challenge around high times. Just plan for it!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped here for a quick little dinner before we resumed our road trip. We were very excited since this place had great reviews and was super busy when we called. The host told us that the wait was about an hour and a half and about 25 minutes later we received the text that our table was ready. We were still about 15 minutes out. We called to let her know that we were on our way and she ended up holding our table for us until we got there which was sooo nice of her and greatly appreciated! The menu is set up like a sushi bar where you check off what you want and they bring them out as they finish cooking. We ordered several items from the menu. The first thing that we ordered was the Hot and Sour Soup to share. I just need to say this is probably the best hot and sour soup that I've ever had! You definitely need to try that. Then we ordered the spicy cucumber salad, spicy garlic beef, bbq bao buns, chive and pork dumplings, xiao long soup dumplings, and honey chicken feet. The service was great, our waitress was very honest about what she did and did not like from the menu and we both very much appreciated that as it was our first time at this restaurant and my friends first time having dim sum. Everything was very fresh and really comforting after a long drive. The only thing that we didn't care for were the chicken feet. Our favorites were the beef, soup, and cucumber salad. The restaurant itself was so so cute and had a very welcoming ambiance. I loved the decor and lighting it made for a relaxing dinner to get our energy back before getting back on the road the next day.

Yelp
Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings has taken Denver by storm since opening in late 2023. So much so that 2 new locations have already opened up, totaling 3 in the metro area. If you live in Denver, we can all agree that more dim sum options isn't a bad thing. Yes, we have the classic old school joints on Federal but surrounding parts of town desperately need more attention. Well Nana's took over an ambitious space that housed many great chefs in its place beforehand. To say, Nana's is a welcome addition to an already hip part of town is a severe understatement! Thursday night in the Highlands, this place was BUZZING. It was packed. You can make a reservation in advance, but we winged it due to our friends visiting town. They were able to accommodate us with a minimal wait on the patio. It was clutch having the heaters nearby and we soaked up every last bit of sun as it set. Service was wonderful. They were hustling. Our server in particular was knowledgeable and gave us solid recommendations. Like you're ordering sushi, you mark on the menu the quantity of specific items you want, and the servers mark it off as it's dropped off. 4 of us split 10 dishes and we were completely stuffed when dishes 9 and 10 hit the table. This is meant to be shared, so bring your adventurous appetite! +Hot & Sour Soup ($8) // This kept me warm on the cool patio. Nice flavors, would order again. +ShuMai ($8) // You have to order Shumai when eating dim and sum. These were packed with meat and tasted good. +Xiao Long Soup Bun ($13) // One of the standouts for sure. I wish we ordered a second round! +BBQ Buns ($10) // BBQ pork buns are one of my personal favorites. I wish they didn't bring these out toward the end because I was getting full. Classic pork flavor in a pillowy bun. +Chicken & Corn Dumplings ($14) // How many of you have seen a chicken and corn dumpling? Crickets, right? These were actually pretty good, although an odd combination. Dump it in chili oil and it goes down smooth! +Stir Fried Green Beans ($20) // Sticker shock without question, but they came highly recommend. I thought they were tasty and I was snacking on them without a doubt. But $20 for green beans, am I crazy?! +Vegetable Dumplings ($14) // These were a surprise hit for the table. Very nice flavors! +Red Sea Chili Wontons ($20) // I was looking forward to eating these and they certainly didn't disappoint. Covered in a chili garlic sauce. Definitely order these for the table...or just yourself! +Chicken Lo Mein ($18) // This was the final dish to hit the table and it took so long to arrive we thought they forgot about it (which we wouldn't have minded since we were so full). However we gave it the ol' college try and it was great. The noodles seemed different than what you typically expect from lo mein, though overall we enjoyed it. So, there's the breakdown. Very positive first experience at the new kid on the block. Seems like they have it dialed in right away and our cranking out handmade dumplings to the masses. Looking forward to coming back again and seeing where they go from here!

Yelp
Everyone has been talking about Nana's dim sum and dumplings that I had to try it! They only do reservations for 6 or more people which is a little disappointing. But we did not have to wait for a table for three on an early Sunday evening. I went with a couple of friends and we got a couple of dishes to share. The server was super nice and recommended a lot to us since it was everyone's first time in. They recommend 2-3 dishes per person to share. We got 7 different dishes and the green beans were by far my favorite! The truffle soup dumplings were a close second and then the Crab Rangoons. I think I would skip out on the bbq buns and the steamed chive and pork dumplings. Overall I would love to come back and try some other dishes!

Yelp
We had seen this restaurant on social media and it looked awesome so we thought we would give it a try. When you walk in you are transported to China, the decor is amazing they definitely nailed it with the esthetics. Service was great from the hostess to the server, everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, we left so stuffed we overestimated our stomach capacity. Every item we ordered was delicious! I would 100% recommend this restaurant and we can't wait to come back and try some more food!!

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing Service and Amazing food!!! Accommodating our party of 30 in the Patio for a bday party and everything was so prefect!! Me and my family will definitely be back again We tried so many different things I forgot to take pictures but everything we got was delicious. The price was right too

Yelp
One of the best dumpling spots in Denver. Hands down. Opened in October 2023 and has been wildly successful ever since. HIGHLY recommend using the Yelp Waitlist function when you're planning to eat there, as there are no reservations for parties under 6 people, and the wait can be 2+ hours on the weekends. Every single dish I've had has been incredibly delicious. I honestly recommend everything on the menu! Listing some of my favorites below: * Truffle soup dumplings * Regular soup dumplings * Shrimp dumplings * Shrimp & pork dumplings * Red hot chili wontons * String beans in Scallop XO sauce--divine!

Yelp
Grabbed dinner here while visiting Denver to see what all the hype was about and I could see why people enjoy the place. What really stood out to me was the theme of the restaurant, lighting and decor were very aesthetic and were probably the best part of my dining experience. I enjoyed the shu mai the most, but the portions were pretty small and for how much you're paying, I'd expect something a bit more special. Feel like you're paying more for the experience. They also made a mistake with my order, but were quick to resolve it. Honestly think it's worth going with a group for the bar if you want to enjoy the ambiance.

Stefanie C.

Yelp
What a fun, cute spot for dumplings! We ALL know Denver could use more dim sum restaurants, so thank you Nana's for delivering. Parking can be tight, so arrive early. I felt 50/50 about the food we ordered, which was SO much because we made a reservation for 6 people who love to eat. Love the classic "mark the laminated menu with what you want" approach. Here is some of what we ordered: * Seafood Noodles * Shu Mai (and many other dumplings) * Beef Pancake Rolls * Hot & Sour Soup Dumplings * Red Sea Chili Wontons * BBQ Buns * Fried Sesame Balls My favorite item was the Hot & Sour Soup Dumplings. That and the Red Sea Chili Wontons were delicious. I was disappointed by the BBQ Buns and Fried Sesame Balls, which were both super dry. I'd probably stick with just ordering dumplings next time. Anything that had some sort of "bread" texture felt off, but maybe that's just me. Exciting meal overall!
google avatar

Janelle Z.

Yelp
I ordered a few dishes from Nana's and they were all pretty good. I was expecting the chili dumplings to have more flavor and spice. I had to put a lot of the sauce (soy sauce??) on them because flavor was lacking. Crab Rangoons were bomb! The soup dumplings were pretty tasty as well, but also under seasoned for my taste. *disclaimer: ordered from Uber eats so I can't comment on the service, but I will say the food came pretty fast for 5pm order on Uber!
google avatar

Yelp
Nana's is a treat in Denver, where it's typically harder to enjoy good fusion food. It's hard to compete with a coastal city, but Nana's does give you some really well done dim sum dishes that will leave you satisfied; however, expect to pay a hefty premium to what you might typically expect for dimsum. This isn't your typical dimsum, but more of an upscale Asian fusion experience. Some of my favorite dishes included the xiao long soup dumplings, pan fried pork buns, and the BBQ buns. Shrimp dumplings were a bit more underwhelming, but still delicious. All in all, most things we ordered came out flavorful and well executed. Reservations are hard to come by this newly opened spot and are only available for groups of 6 or more. If you're planning to walk in, it seemed like you should come before 5:30pm on a typical weekday night to guarantee a table. Once you're sat, you'll be greeted with attentive service and beautiful, captivating decor. Definitely worth trying out Nana's. I'm not quite convinced that I prefer it to my typical dimsum experience on South Federal, but I can see how this might be a lot more approachable for a new dimsum goer.

Yelp
First time at Nanas, and I'm wondering - can I be adopted?! Atmosphere was fun and the line outside before the doors opened was a great sign. Very happy with everything we ate today, but especially the service considering the allergy and dietary restriction we needed to consider. Our server was so conscientious and made sure to answer all questions. Options for vegetarians are aplenty! Food comes out as its ready so be prepared to eat family-style. Loved the vegetable buns and fried rice!
google avatar

Lisa U.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. They were out of the red bean buns so missed out but the truffle soup buns, green beans, spicy cucumber salad, and both fried and steamed dumplings were perfect. Go for the pork (the beef was a bit tougher and less flavorful)
google avatar

Noah K.

Yelp
Lovely experience, so happy to have some top notch Asian food in the neighborhood. Service was sharp and friendly. We sat at the bar with no wait. Impressively deep selection of spirits available but we stayed focused on the food. The ordering process was similar ordering sushi as you use a pen to mark the items and quantity you want to order. All and all fantastic food. Nothing was overwhelmingly rich and we finished every bite, despite being stuffed. We tried a variety of dishes and I'll rank them from favorite or least favorite. Please not id order it all again. 1. Pork and Chive dumplings 2. Xiao Long Soup Buns 3. Hot and sour soup 4. Red Sea dumplings 5. Spicy Cucumber Salad 6. Chicken Lo Mein
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good. My family and I enjoyed the food. It was the first time for my husband and I to have dumplings.

Yelp
I've been twice now and it's so good! Great service and food. Get the green beans. They are soooo good! We will be back.

Yelp
Amazing experience at Nana's. It was a little pricy for me but I. Consideration to the atmosphere, service and quality of food, I'd say it was worth it. I tried the spicy cucumber salad, chicken corn dumplings and the firecracker shareable. Each dish was equally delicious.

Yelp
I was looking for something else at this neighborhood and as soon as I saw this one, decided to do a quick stop before heading to the final destination. Well.... A few days earlier, I saw this name at the corner of Parker and Havana in Aurora. To much of my disappointment, the Aurora location wasn't open yet. Therefore, I was super happy to see this one. The front door had this thick drape over it which threw me off a bit but was able to get inside. It was very cozy once inside. Large sized bar to the left and hostess station at the front. Being Sunday afternoon, were seated right away and she let us know of 90 min dining period. Also offered free hot tea for being next to the front entrance. Being a first-timer, it was interesting to see them using a recyclable ordering sheet that came with marker. You just need to mark 1 next to the 6 means 1 order. Got several things and one noteworthy entry was hot and sour soup dumplings, which were excellent. Very light soup with 6 or so dumpling was my favorite. They also added 3% dumpling maker gratuity which I didn't like at all. Try this at Aurora location and see how far it flies. Our waitress was excellent in accommodating our dietary needs. Overall, Nana's definitely deserves a repeat visit with solid four stars. I love these types of accidental discoveries.

Yelp
I like the vibe and the ambience of this restaurant. They don't do the traditional dim sum where food is trotted around in carts, rather you pick from a menu and it comes right out within five minutes. We ordered a bunch of food, shrimp dumplings, beef shumai, hot and sour shumai, soup dumplings, chicken fried rice. Everything tasted good. Service was really good. It's a good experience and I'll come back
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
My partner and I stopped by right when they opened at 4 pm. They seemed almost a little annoyed at us being walk ins, and made sure to remind us that we only have the table for 2 hours. I did enjoy the lighting, and music was a bit loud but nothing crazy. We tried a bunch of options. The calamari, the bbq pork dumplings, and the chicken and corn dumplings all tasted like they got it frozen at the local asian market. The truffle soup dumplings were yummy, I wish they had vinegar served with it, that would've made it so much better. The sweet rice shumai was a bit too chewy for my taste too. Cocktail was nice too, but I wouldn't return. Such a bummer.
google avatar

Henry F.

Yelp
Unbelievably pricy, And for above average dumplings, Super nice service and ambiance but I will forever despise my friends who overhyped this place
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome spot for Dim Sum. I really like the hot & sour soup, green beans, sesame balls, XLB, and fried rice. My absolute favorite and top recommendation is the beef scallion pancakes. The staff are super helpful at giving recommendations and pacing the meal for you with what you've ordered. Go early and expect a wait, but it's definitely worth waiting for.

Yelp
Nana's is sooo tasty !! The best dumpling place I have found in Denver so far. Staff was friendly and helped guide me on what to order. Great vibes inside.

Yelp
Came here for a spontaneous girls night on a Thursday. We got there around 5:30pm and were seating right away on the bar side. *They do not take reservations for anything groups smaller than 6 people. So expect to wait or come early. I have seen this location all over social media, and at times I do get nervous that places sent live up to the hype but Nana's takes the cake! Aside from a lame drink menu the food was delicious. It did take a while to come out but hands down my favorite dish was the wontons! I walked to the restroom and the main room was packed! It was chaos so if you can I recommend sitting by the bar or in a corner. Very cool to see the chef making the dumpling in the bar through a big window. Had a great time here and look forward to coming back. Highly recommend. 5/5 Stars

Deborah M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot for a while and so glad we tried it out today! We went right at 4 because I had read about how busy it can be, happy to report we got right in and sat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly! We had some delicious cocktails and dumplings. We tried the thumblings, sticky rice shumai, pan fried dumplings and bbq buns. All were tasty but I loved the thumblings best!
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
SO GOOD! The best dumplings I've had in CO. We stopped by here for dinner on a Saturday night after making candles at the weathered wick. We got in slightly before 5 and it was already packed! Thankfully we got seated right away. For 2 people we ordered the spicy cucumbers to start, shrimp har gao, xiao long pao, fried dumplings and beef pancakes. Everything was delicious! The XLBs were the best I've had in CO, very authentic. I wouldnt order the spicy cucumbers again (they were good but not worth the $) or the shrimp har gao (the skin was very pasty) but the dumplings and XLB are where it's at!
google avatar

Ali S.

Yelp
One of the best meals I have had in Denver! They have so much variety on their menu, and all of the food came out very quickly but not all at once so we could enjoy each dish and pass it around. We had a group of 7, which meant we could make a reservation (must be a group of 6 or more) otherwise it is waitlist only. Service was great and the ambiance was upbeat and fun.
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, it feels cozy and inviting! Here, you'll order your food at the counter, they'll give you a number, and you'll choose where you want to sit. The edamame is a great starter! Had the perfect amount of salt in my opinion. We tried the soup dumplings. They're called soup dumplings for a reason! But I forgot so of course I made a mess as soon as I bit into it. Also, feel free to let them sit for a minute to cool off because they are fresh and HOT. Pretty tasty too :) We also tried the pork bao, fried. These were my favorite!! The bun was perfectly fried and, well I've never had anything like it! I would get these again over the soup dumplings any day. I like that this place has a handful of options. Usually a good indicator that it'll be great! This place did not disappoint :)

Yelp
Wow this is my new favorite spot! Among the four of us, we ordered about 10 dishes and everything was delightful, literally! We have had such an experience at very few restaurants. The drinks are great and service is top notch. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We love Nana's! The ambience is amazing, & being able to watch the dumplings being made is a beautiful touch. The vibe of the whole place was on point, and the service was perfect. Attentive, but not annoying lol The jumbo crab rangoons were so yummy! We've all had those sad little rangoons with hardly any filling in them. They also use real crab, and you can really taste the difference. My husband and I loved everything we had! Hot and sour soup, bbq buns, stir fried green beans.. all dishes we'll come back for. So excited to have this new spot in the hood!

Yelp
The Skinny: great 'elevated' xiao long bao, dimsum, and ambiance. The food: First off, we've been looking for a good xiao long bao spot in Denver for a while now and we were really struggling. Nana's hits the spot. Great balance with a thin wrapper, plenty of soup, and juicy meat. This is the best spot we've come by for soup dumplings. The black bean spare ribs and chili wontons were pretty solid as well. The Szechuan chicken had potential but ended up a little bit dry. Price/value: If you are looking for your typical dim sum Asian food prices you won't find them here. The Dim sum was closer to 8/plate, and the chili wontons were $20. A bit pricey overall - but sometimes you gotta pay the surcharge to get decent Asian food in Denver. Portions for what we had were a little on the lighter side compared to other more traditional Chinese spots but on par for 'elevated' Chinese food like hopalley or bao brewhouse. Ambiance/service: The ambiance of the place is awesome. I'd compare it to a less expensive hopalley or a more chill bao brewhouse. Great decor and the spot is actually quite large. Plus theres an area where you can see the chefs making the food which is a nice bonus. Overall service was very friendly but they were still definitely figuring out some kinks (who serves what table etc) Final thoughts: Across the board the food was solid - the XLB impressed me, but nothing else gave me the wow of a 5 star just yet. But the overall food quality & ambiance make it a place I'd definitely come back to.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner with a group of seven. We had to reserve a duck in advance and it wasn't that great. The duck was probably sold as a whole duck but we got about probably a quarter duck and it wasn't the tastiest thing and didn't really have the fixings we expected. We ordered a variety of food from green beans to barbecue pork buns to shu mai. Shu mai - to be honest I've had a lot better and many places these tasted like they were straight defrosted from the freezer and not super fresh. Green bean - a bit overpriced, but tasted pretty great. Compared to other restaurants in the area. 20 bucks for a plate of green beans is not the best. Soup dumplings - tasted like they were straight defrosted from the freezer. Maybe they were or maybe it wasn't made a long time ago and frozen and reheated. Definitely was not freshly made that day. A bit of a disappointment. Shrimp fried rice - wasn't that great probably on par with what you could get at an establishment like Panda Express Bbq pork buns - tasted pretty good probably the best item on the menu. The food was pretty mediocre and overpriced but the drinks were great. Happy hour ends at 530, so come early. Better yet come for the drinks and get food elsewhere

Yelp
I. Love. Dumplings! And I'm thankful someone finally brought a decent Asian spot to the area... Best new restaurant I've been to in Denver in quite some time! That being said, it took us like two and a half hours to get seated. Something to be aware of if you're gonna check this place out but, shitty wait aside, everything we had here was delicious! From the dumplings to the rangoons, etc. I don't think you can go wrong. Service was solid too for as busy as they were. Totes goin back to try the rest of the menu soon. Place is awesome. 4.6 outta 5

Yelp
Best dim sum in Denver! And one of my new favorite restaurants in general. And this comes from someone who's tried every dim sum option here, lived outside of San Francisco for years, and has been to Hong Kong. ATMOSPHERE Oh my gosh, this place has aaaall the vibes! Not your typical dim sum place in a sterile big room, with round banquet tables, old table clothes, and no ambiance. Here, there is lots of cool wood, dim lanterns, a psychedelic dragon along the ceiling, neon "dim you sum" and dragon lights, a station where you can see the ladies making dumplings behind a glass wall, and more. THIS is where you want to go on date night, or out with friends, or just in general! FOOD The food is legit. On par with some of the best dim sum I've had in SF Chinatown or in Hong Kong. Some favorites: - pan fried thumblings (baby-sized pork dumplings bursting with flavor) - honey chicken feet (I know it seems weird for a first-timer, but they're so good!) - crab Rangoon (a dish I rarely order because it just takes like cream cheese everywhere, but here, it's full of crab and flavor and the perfect hint of spice) - black bean spareribs (little pieces of flavorful pork riblets) - shu mai (a traditional favorite stuffed with juicy meat) - soup buns (both the traditional and and truffle ones are amazing) DRINKS Another HUGE difference between this spot and other dim sum places in Denver: there's a whole bar area and they make fantastic cocktails. Very thought out and fitting for the food, while still being creative. SERVICE I love everyone here -- from the owners, to the bar staff, to the servers -- they're all so nice and excited to have the neighborhood try the food! It doesn't feel at all intimidating like how some dim sum places feel when you know to know what to point at when the carts come by. Everything is on a menu, and the staff is happy to help! I'll be back -- because I have so many things left to try, like the Peking duck and bbq buns and everything else!Definitely taking my parents here when they come to town! New favorite spot.

Yelp
This place has a fun ambiance. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. The green bean appetizer was outstanding. House wine was tasty too, a little on the sweeter side though. Overall awesome experience and will definitely be back.

Yelp
This may be my favorite Denver restaurant - I only wish I lived closer to them! First, the inside is very cute in their new location and will surprise you. I love being able to see the dumplings being made. Second, nothing on the menu will disappoint! The bbq buns are a good choice if this is your introduction into dim sum. Personally, my favorite is the Red Sea chili wontons. They're spicy, but so flavorful if you love a little spice. (I make the drive from castle rock just for the wontons!) We also enjoy the crab Rangoon and pork buns. The service is consistently great, and I have received nothing but friendly service when I'm there. If you're looking for some delicious dim sum, I can't recommend Nana's enough.

Yelp
Nana's, a gem among dim sum enthusiasts, offers an extraordinary culinary experience that lingers on the palate long after the meal is over. Stepping into this charming restaurant, one is immediately enveloped by the tantalizing aroma of authentic Chinese cuisine. I attended with a group of 4 friends for their soft opening at their new location on Tejon/ It was about a 25 min wait at 7pm on a weekday. We chose to do family style and ordered a plethora of items: The pork & chive dumplings, a signature delicacy, boast a perfect blend of tender pork and fresh chives, enveloped in a delicate yet robust dumpling skin. Each bite is a harmonious symphony of flavors, leaving a lasting impression of traditional Chinese culinary finesse. The red sea chili wontons, an unexpected fusion of flavors, are a delightful surprise for the taste buds, with a subtle hint of spice beautifully complementing the rich and savory filling, creating a tantalizing blend that captures the essence of Nana's innovative approach to dim sum. Nana's is not only in traditional dim sum but also some exploratory flavors. The black bean spareribs, etender and bathed in a rich, savory sauce, was not my favorite. The stir-fried udon with chicken, a comforting and satisfying dish, is a harmonious medley of well-cooked udon noodles, tender strips of chicken, and an array of fresh, crisp vegetables, all masterfully combined in a savory sauce that elevates this seemingly simple dish to new heights. Moreover, the shumai, delicate parcels of flavorful meat encased in a light, translucent wrapper, and the szeuchuan chicken, with its bold and robust flavors dancing on the taste buds, further demonstrate Nana's commitment to delivering a diverse yet consistently exceptional dining experience. I would recommend visiting Nana's if you want Dim Sum but with more of an upscale over authentic feel, but the food is solid enough to hold up.

Yelp
You MUST MUST MUST go here and you MUST MUST MUST get the Jumbo Crab Rangoons. And you MUST MUST MUST get on the Yelp wait list very early. 3 hours on wait list but we were chilling at a nearby bar in the meantime. When you know and the system is in place to keep you in the 411 doesn't matter the time. Service was impeccable and the food is absolutely amazing. I NEVER eat green beans (they are not my bag) but on a dare I ate one from our tables order. Fast forward to about 20 more down the pipe. So good. As mentioned the Rangoons are on point. We had a variety of other items. Pork filled bao-WINNER, soup dumplings -winner, chicken corn pot stickers - pretty good and shrimp shumai was an 8 out of 10. All around this was my favorite restaurant I have been to on my many visits to the area. See you there!

Yelp
Was eggcited to try out Denver's newest and revamped dim sum & dumplings spot and it didn't disappoint. Our table of four went for their soft opening (no reservations) and waited about 25 minutes to get seated during the dinner service on a Wednesday night. We ordered an array of options: the pork & chive dumplings, red sea chili wontons, black bean spareribs, stir-fried udon w/ chicken, the shumai, and the szeuchuan chicken. The standouts for me were the pork & chive dumplings, the szechuan chicken, and the stir-fried udon w/ chicken. Pork & chive dumplings were plump and steaming hot. The szeuchuan chicken had just the right amount of kick (hard to find a good heat of spicy in Denver), as the balance of heat and numbing was just superb. Did not care for the flavor of the black bean spare ribs, but the meat melted in your mouth. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. Has two sections of the restaurant with the bar area on one side with an open side patio that opens out to the street which is nice. The service was efficient and pleasant as well! Service got our order wrong and delivered our correct one as quickly as they could without any complaints. I really appreciated that customer service for a memorable night! Definitely would come back to try other options.

Yelp
Having just moved to Denver and on the hunt for great dumplings, I came across Nana's which just opened this weekend (October 20th). I visited on the second day of operation and was pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant full of customers. Across the board (food, ambiance, and service), this restaurant meets and exceeds expectations. I ordered the shrimp dim sum and the xiao long soup buns. The soup buns were excellent, filled with flavorful broth and pork inside of the well-textured bun. I personally prefer a shrimp dim sum with a bit more salt, but I think that's more of a personal preference and I still found it enjoyable. I was very impressed by the service. I sat at the bar and received diligent service from the bartenders as well as quick and efficient retrieval of my food. While I waited, I enjoyed the restaurant's red mood lighting, trendy atmosphere, and trinkets of Halloween decor. Can't wait to come back and try more!
