Good spot for Spanish food with taste.

odered from here twice and will be the last time. first order came crushed and spilling into the bag. was cold but tasty after i threw it in the microwave. second order took over an hour and half to deliver. was crushed and spilling into the bag. also cold and this time had lovely pieces of plastic from the broken container in it. i would give this place zero stars but they get one star for the adobo.

I searched for a place with roast pork for half hour before I came across this place the reviews were bad but I gave it a try . Boy am I glad I did best roast pork I have had in a very long time salty and tasty how I like rice good and fresh I'm mad I didn't know the beans were so tasty would have got a large.

Horrible service...lady serving the food insisted in giving me a scrap piece of chicken because she didn't want to cut the leg I requested and tried to give me the scrap left over lettuce from the salad tray...I bet she wouldn't eat that...but she tri3d to serve me that. Wouldn't go back to that $ Hole restaurant.

Do not go here! Their food looks uncooked and their music is so loud you hear it outside. There’s drunk people in the back. And usually only people who drink go there.

Really good food. I usually get the chicharron de puerco which is sold by the pound and yuca. It’s delicious. The rest of the food is really tasty just really greasy. Their mofongo is also on point!!!

They take forever even if you are the only one ordering and the selection is the same all the time. There isn't much else to eat in the neighborhood, so it serves it's purpose to feed you, but I'd go elsewhere if I could. I don't like that they use the same utensils to serve different items. For example they'll cut chicken and then pork with the same gross scissors and just lay them on the counter or the same spoon/ladle to serve beans and stew.

I had chicken soup with corn on a cob and lemonade The soup could have use more seasoning but otherwise from that I have no other complaints. And my food was delivered on time as or before planned! Thumbs up for that

Food is ok. Small place but so annoying how they always change the prices on you. Only spot around that makes decent food but rip you off. I already had people waiting waiting and couldn't just leave it. Very disappointed.

About a month ago I was busy all day and didn't have cooked food in my house in the evening and I wasn't cooking in the evening. I know they usually have lunch deals with a meat dish and rice and beans. I asked for rice and beans with a quarter rotisserie chicken. Since it was all on the steam table, no waiting. The chicken had brown and crispy skin but not burnt. The beans were tender and flavored with the traditional Hispanic seasonings. The rice was tender and wasn't all clumped together.

Came here with my boo after the strawberry festival. We searched the area for anything that looked nice, but everything here apparently is a hole in the wall. I guess Highland Park would be a hole in the wall compared to Manhattan - but they keep it real. Guys, if you want to know what it feels like to have some Latina call you papi over and over again, then you should definitely come here. I got called papi no less than 10 times while I was going back and forth along the counter looking at all of the Latin American goodies. I've always explained to my boo that it's like saying "hey dude" and that it's a term of endearment. Onto the food: they serve a big variety of Colombian/Dominican type dishes. They have pollos a la brasa too - but it wasn't charcoal. it was a bit on the dry side, but they had plenty of other sides and dishes in case you don't like what you ordered. They have other traditional stuff too like: ox tail stew Beans n rice Pork chops roasted Pork leg boiled yuca maduros (fried plantains) It's good eatin for cheap. The portions were absolutely huge, and a whole meal for 2 can be had for under 15 bucks. Hey papi, bring yo mami here and have a nice feast.

Been here and ordered seceral times.the place looks like a dive from the outside, looks and smells like a dive on the inside, it is a dive with impossibly loud music so the servers can't hear or understand the order, there also is an extreme language barrier so ordering by phone is a crap shoot at best, ordering in store is not much better, staff acts like it's your fault they dont speak English. if when the food is served or delivered it is sub par , greasy over cooked, old and not fresh. place is small and overcrowded dispute bad food got to wonder about that... Food arrives cold and sloppy. Steer clear of this place at all costs!

Waited 2 hours and a half for food. Got one single call from them informing us they will be late (they were already 20minutes late.). They haven't left the Restaurant yet. Come to find out 20 minutes later than the driver google the wrong address.... Food came cold. This place is garbage It was just $11. I'm getting my $11 back

I order beef stew with rice and beans, chicken stew with rice and beans and two order of sweet plantains. They delivered two orders of DRY white rice and DRY mini pieces of skirt steak NO beans and the weirdest soggy plantains I have ever seen, when I called the driver back and ask him to please bring me back my money( $32.00 ) in exchange for the food and explained to him that my order was completely wrong he told me they didn't have any stew, or potatoes or carrots or beans and that he sent me whatever they had left. Worst delivery service ever and I ordered through seamless :/

Went in for a quick bite with a friend on a Friday evening. Got some food from the steam table and we both really enjoyed it. Nice flavors and generous portions. Better than the food was the friendly and festive neighborhood vibe. Very authentic.

Great restaurant with good tasty food. They tend to compete with Tavarez on the near corner but due to their price raise, more people are coming here during the day around lunch and to Tavarez during the night. The place is tiny as hell though which isn't great if you are looking for somewhere to sit, talk and eat with a large group but perfect for take out and Togo items. They have inexpensive side orders which is great for a vegetarian like me. $3 for a small order of rice and beans and $3 for tostones with $1 can drink. I think that's not so bad. Will try and come here more often.

I want to say BRAVOOOO I ordering my lunch every day from Nancy, I am foreign and just choose first time because they have $7 minimum order and I was out of my mind, I'm ordering every time different food and always get delicious. Bravoooo, you have very tasty food and fast delivery Thanks for you are near by me :)

Worse place ever!! Food was old and rice hard as a rock. Meat was undercooked. The salad was old and smelled like spoiled vinegar.

As a healthy, organic, local-food loving vegan, I can't say this place has a ton of options that fall into those categories but they were totally willing to work with me to cater a work event in the neighborhood. They were open to sourcing brown rice instead of white and expanding their usual catering menu (which is nearly all meat and starch like rice and plantains) to include steamed vegetables and stewed eggplant. They also baked the plantains instead of frying. At the event, the spaghetti wasn't a huge hit but everyone loved the rest of the food. The brown rice moro (rice with black beans), pinto beans, stewed eggplant, baked plantains, and baked chicken and veggies were a big hit. I will be ordering from them again in the future. The restaurant is pretty small but there's usually a spot or two at a table in the back for dine-in.

Husband ordered around 6:30, waited till 8 to call about order and was told he is on his way, 9 came around and called back to get a recording , cancelled the order through seamless and guy shows up after 10 so basically we will never order from this place!! If the distance is to far then they should restrict the distance !!! Or at least call and we would completely understand and went else where , so now it's 10 and we are starving thanks for that!!!

PLEASE READ!! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! We mean it. My boyfriend and I have ordered from here numerous times only because of their decent prices. However, there was LITERALLY ALWAYS an issue (i.e, the "daily soup" wasn't available, food arrived without salami, food arrived without cheese, pastelito that looked like a bite had been taken out of it). In fact, we always expect to receive a call about how they don't have an item upon placing our order. Twice, we had to call after receiving our order because it was missing something. This last time around, I called about missing cheese from the mangu, salami, egg, and queso breakfast, and the lady told me she put it in the order when it clearly wasn't there. Then, I asked if she was going to rectify the situation or if I needed to contact the food delivering service that we ordered from. She proceeded to say, "oh, my God! I don't know. Call back in 20 minutes." I ended up contacting the food service app and got a refund. In terms of quality, it isn't great. Basically, you get what you pay for (sometimes not even that! Hence the missing items). After giving them multiple chances, we will no longer be ordering from this "restaurant." Lesson learned. We will be paying a bit more for better quality food and service elsewhere.

Mediocre food. Mediocre attitudes. Does the job if you're hungry. All I get is rice and beans with mofongo, can't rlly mess those up. Mofongo could be softer, but almost everywhere near this spot the mofongo is the same consistency , and not soft. I'll go again, because it's two blocks away, but if it were any further I'd prob never care to eat there again.

When I was 8 months pregnant and came in here to get a sandwich since it was late and this place seemed to be the only thing open. When I ordered a Cuban sandwich (something simple that was on the menu and is served in most Spanish restaurants) the staffed looked confused. I told them I was paying with card and they told me it was a 10 dollar minimum so I ordered a 2 dollar drink with my sandwich. The female workers were too busy attending to the drunk men by the bar that they kept brushing me off when I asked where the bathroom was 3 times! When my sandwich was finally done (after 20 minutes) a man rang me up and told me there was a 2.00 fee for using my card! What was the point of me getting a soda for the 10 dollar minimum if you were just gonna charge me a 2 dollar fee on top of that. The icing on the cake was that when I got home my sandwich was cold in the middle and the Bread was stale. Moral of the story: Never go there.

I ordered French toast and pancakes and neither came with syrup. I called to tell them they didn't send any and they responded with, "you don't have any at your house?" Later I found a hair in my food. Worst take out experience I've ever had. I ended up throwing all my food in the trash.

So a co-worker and I walk in to grab some lunch. The ATM is being fixed so we assumed the card machine wasn't working. We asked if the we can still use the card. The initial response was "yes, it is working". Another female employee chimes in saying "what is it that they can't read" pointing to a sign that reads in scribble "we accept cards". I found this kind of racist. And didn't not and will not ever enter their establishment. On top of all that the food there is always very greasy and bland.

I just ordered a bacon, pork sausage, and cheese omelette with fries (I wanted home fries but they didn't have any) and I asked for toast with jelly and they didn't have any jelly. The onions and bell peppers weren't cut up good enough. They were huge pieces that could've been a meal on their own! The bacon seemed to be maybe one or two pieces and I could barely taste it and I paid $1 extra for 1 sausage patty. The food did not taste as good as I would have liked. The delivery took over half an hr for one dish and the tray arrived with holes in it (which I assumed and am hoping was for ventilation). Overall this was a BAD experience and the FIRST and LAST time for me. Never again!

I VOW to never eat from this restaurant again . Their fries suck, their chicken fingers are very small and crispy . Their burgers are small and doesn't taste good . Please if you can get your food from a different place . BEWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT !!

Been coming here for years with my aunt. The lasgna is delish the white rice with red beans is good. The place is just super cramped

Service is better now . Before only one person would speak english but now multiple people speak english but the food could get here a little faster .

This place is the worst!!! Everytime I order, they get my order either wrong, or food is cold. I ordered today during business hours and was told they were closed. Worst service ever. Please beware of buying here. Food is not that great to begin with!!!

Horrible Horrible service. I ordered and was given the wrong meat. They debated with me insisting I ordered the wrong thing when I order on Grubhub straight from the menu. Nevertheless I asked if the proper meat could be brought. My meal was an hour late (I still tipped) and I still have to exchange the meat I was given for a new hot meat to go with my cold rice? I was guaranteed the meat would be delivered in TEN minutes... Had to call Again over 20 minutes later . After I exchanged the meat , I came up to find the new meat was choppy, disgusting looking, cold, and the Open! Through Grubhub who helped A LOT, they insisted they would Not give a refund, would not speak to us directly, stopped speaking through Grubhub, Asked to be taken off the website, and the driver I called immediately after I saw my disgusting food said he Doesn't Speak English and hung up in my Face! I paid by card. If I could give zero stars I would. I refuse to feed my children and toddler this dogfood so they must now wait for a new meal somewhere else.

The food is reasonably priced but my food arrived not exactly how I expected it to be. There was something floating in the bottom of my drink and mold on my cake slice. After seeing those two things, my whole order was trashed because I lost trust in eating anything from this place. I ordered based on reviews but I won't be ordering from them ever again.

Very nice ! They are life savers when I don't want to cook. Prices are reasonable to. Hours are good. Clean place. Seating is scarce. Overall good place

The food here taste great I order t- bone steak very tender and fish stuffed with shrimps the sauce they put in the order its out of this world very tasty but they don't put steak sauce in the bag when they deliver it
