Nando’s, the Afro-Portuguese flame-grilled chicken chain, spices up Rosslyn with vibrant décor and a menu of customizable spice levels and tasty sides.
"Nando’s Peri Peri will deliver Rosslyn another speedy lunch or dinner option starting next week. The new Metro-accessible location will be the global brand’s tenth in the state. The African-inspired design includes a colorful portrait by self-taught Johannesburg artist Nqabutho Phakathi, as well as bright hand-knit light shades and a suspended wood ceiling. The Rosslyn location is projected to operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The addition of a new late-night eatery should be a boon to the historically sleepy 9-to-5 neighborhood. There are currently six Nando’s restaurants in D.C.; 13 in Maryland; and 12 in Chicago, with about 1,200 worldwide." - Tierney Plumb
"Arlnow reports that international chain Nando’s is opening in Rosslyn next month. The South African-themed eatery, which already operates two other restaurants in Arlington, Virginia, is projected to begin serving its chile-spiked chicken at 1800 N. Lynn Street this March." - Warren Rojas
