"South African restaurant chain Nando’s PERi-PERi is set to open its flagship Atlanta location on August 27 at High Street, an apartment complex, dining, and shopping mixed-use space in Dunwoody. Nando’s joins the likes of Puttshack, Velvet Taco, and Cuddlefish in the area. The restaurant is known for its flame-grilled chicken and a 24-hour marinade made with peri peri (or piri piri) African bird’s eye chilis. You can choose your spice level and opt for sandwiches, platters, or bowls." - Henna Bakshi

A standout spot for both great food and warm hospitality. The service was top-notch, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s a great place for families too, with a kid-friendly menu that made things easy and enjoyable for everyone. Just a few items for Vegans, yet the modifications are still enjoyable. The craft lemonades are refreshing, flavorful, and made with care. The Sangria (no liquor) is absolutely delicious, and is my beverage of choice…even in multiple visits in the same day. All around, a fun and relaxed place that delivers on taste and fantastic customer service. Extra star to the welcoming and friendly take-out crew.

Heard the buzz about the new Nando's Chicken and finally checked it out! My colleagues weren't kidding – they said there's usually a queue, so I felt like a VIP getting a table on a weekday evening. 😎 Apparently, it's only been open a hot minute (a couple of months, they say). It's a bit of a DIY experience with the self-serve drinks and whatnot, but I actually liked the convenience of the separate hand-washing sink – genius! 🤩 The place was spotless, and the food arrived super quick. Just a little FYI: ditch the paper menus, you order and pay through their website using their Wi-Fi. No biggie! And the food? Oh man, the Rainbow Avocado was a flavor explosion in my mouth! 🌈🥑 Seriously tasty and felt good for you too. The taste is definitely the star of the show here. 🌟 Finding it was a mini-adventure though – gotta navigate into the parking garage and take an elevator up. Free parking though, so all good in the end! 😂 Worth the little trek!

Huge fan of Nando’s. One of our order was cold so had to give 4 star. Love their diff sauces and the food. Have been there when I used to eat meat and liked their liver recipe. But couldn't enjoymore being a vegan now. And No cocktails option. Their drinks are all premixed. Very few options.

Nando's Peri-Peri is a must-visit for anyone who loves flavorful, perfectly grilled chicken! The peri-peri sauces are the star of the show, offering a range of heat levels and bold flavors that excite the palate. The sides, like the Portuguese rice, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, complement the chicken beautifully and hold their own as delicious options. The staff is professional and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The decor is vibrant and adds to the overall ambiance, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Nando's delivers consistently excellent food and service. Highly recommend trying their mango lime chicken wings and spicy olives—they're unforgettable! Nando's Peri-Peri is a gem that deserves all the praise it gets.

Nando's finally made it GA. Had it in MD, and I knew i had to when it came to GA. Definitely did not disappoint. Lots of food options and the vibes were cool and laud back. We choose brunch. Options to dine in or pick up you will not be disappointed. The parking lot is close by. Sitting and chilling, you will definitely feel comfortable.

Must try. I love Nandos! I could eat this everyday! Nandos is really good. All nationalities eat at Nandos! Every time I visit, food is fresh, hot, and good. The chicken is grilled to perfection. The chicken is always juicy and hot, and you have several hot levels to choose from, and there are several sauces on the side to choose from. We got half grilled chicken and a chicken bowl with chips/fries. Nandos have a lot of famous sauces to try on your food. They have a full bar & deserts. We sat on the beautiful, large, covered patio. Nandos cater to whole families and a full bar for date night/day! This is also a great place to meet up with friends!

We finally got to check out the new Nando’s restaurant. They were very busy the first time we tried to go which was of course a good sign. Alexis greeted us as soon as we walked in, seated us right away, explained how the ordering process works & gave us some food option recommendations. My husband got the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides. As seen in the picture we can’t imagine what a whole chicken would have looked like because the serving was big. I got the Peri Peri wings with Peri chips. I’m not a fan of ranch but their special ranch sauce that comes with the wings was really good. We both got the Mango & Lime flavor that was recommended by Alexis which was very flavorful. They also have some fresh juices, I sampled the Hibiscus lemonade & Pineapple lemonade and decided they tasted better together. Try it! They have a really big menu so I know we will be back to try more. The menu is based on a mixture of South African/ Portuguese cuisine. The serving sizes will leave you with leftovers. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The service here is absolutely non existent. The workers act nonchalantly and walk around like that too. It took my boyfriend and I almost 15 minutes to be seated when there were plenty of seats around. This establishment uses scan to order, so no one is coming around to check and see if your order arrived. We ordered and it took a whole hour for our food to come. My boyfriend actually had to get up to go check on our food. He had to bring the plates over himself. My fries were mad cold and so were the potatoes. My chicken was lukewarm. The ambiance was not the best either, it was a cute restaurant but I couldn't even enjoy it because the service sucked so bad. I definitely won't be back. Pollo Primo off of Moreland Ave is a way better choice.

Yelp
The European chicken craze that blends South African and Portuguese flavors into a beautiful tapestry of flavors that you can't imagine is in Atlanta and I'm in trouble now. Nando's is big is the UK and Australia among other European countries and I've only heard of it mentioned out of various YouTube videos where this chain appeared in California but never really figured I'd ever experience it till one opened up near me. This is a self-serve order style place so there's really no service other than a hostess that seats you and explains what this joint is about. Tucked away in the newly emerged High Street plaza in the heart of Dunwoody just by the Perimeter Mall, the area is fitting for this little establishment that seems to seat roughly 100 people or so between a tightly spaced interior and a beautifully spacious outdoor section. It gets tight between the tables so walk to get your drinks, sauces, and silverware in a timely fashion. So now the food. I ordered the 1/2 chicken medium spice and suffice to say, I am impressed. They state that their chicken has been marinating in a special blend of South African spices for at least 24 hours before they cook YOUR fowl to serve. The chicken 1/2 I had was cut along the cavity giving me a blend of the breast and thigh meat. I do have a bit of a complaint and that the medium spice doesn't have the kick I wish it did that if it's medium, I should feel the spice but not be overwhelmed by it but the overall meat itself was tender, juicy, and such a flavor bomb. The option that I chose was the 2 side option and I chose the fries and coleslaw. The fries aren't really special. What takes it over the top is the seasoning spice they use for the fries which amps up the flavors. The coleslaw isn't your normal coleslaw you get from most southern style eateries. The coleslaw is done right. It is mayo based but it's not so drenched in mayo and there is an herb mixture in there that elevates the flavor of the coleslaw which in turn makes it all the more enjoyable to eat. It was a bit lukewarm and not crispy cold as far as a vegetable dish is concerned but overall, enjoyable due to that light herbal mayo dredged coleslaw. Again, I'm a bit disappointed with what they consider to be spicy. A medium spice should have some sort of heat, either a post consumption creep up, or an initial kick. Anything medium whether it be the chicken itself or even their sauces did not have that medium spice kick. Their garlic Peri sauce which is a medium spicy style sauce didn't have much of a spicy kick let alone a garlic punch in it. It was just tangy with a slight HINT of garlic that isn't really noticeable. So if you want noticeable heat, hot and above is where you want to land in terms of spice, whether it's the chicken or the sauces. All in all, this popular global chicken restaurant has landed in ATL and I understand the craze and you should you check them out and understand the craze as well!

Yelp
South African spiced tender chicken and not-so-crispy-and-very-zesty fries. Lunch crowds are ppl who work nearby. Almost completely self service and order on the phone Got the sando with the chicken thigh, decent. The buns were legit cold when it first came out (???) but they warmed it up for me. I didn't particularly like any sauces because they were all too zesty.

Yelp
Food: Delicious! We got the BONELESS BUTTERFLIED CHICKEN BREAST with one side and we chose FRIES. I wasn't too hungry, just wanted to try their flavors since my husband has been talking about this place. We got it Plain-ish and enjoyed trying all the different sauces in it (well I didn't try the hot or xtrahot). The chicken was juicy and smoky. Very very delicious! Service: I really like that we can scan the QR code to order! A server took us to our table and explained how things work there and told us that we could use the code to order and they would bring the food to the table. We ordered and it didn't take long to arrive. Self Service: the sauces, drinks, silverware and napkins are available at the counter for you to serve yourself. I enjoyed it. I got us some water and some of the sauces to try. Sauces: Peri-Peri with Lemon & Herb, Peri-Peri with garlic, Peri-Peri with wild herbs, Medium, Hot and Extra Hot. We enjoyed tried them all! Ambience: The place is very nice. The decor is pretty, it's clean and organized. Parking: free covered parking nearby

Yelp
Nando's has delicious, distinct food, and the decor/theming inside is distinct, fun, and inviting. However, inside the tables are packed close together and it's quite loud, and I'm not somebody who is normally bothered by this. Service was bad, which is saying something as it's already self service for drinks, silverware, and extra sauces. But they gave us a 10 minute estimate for our food, and half it came out around 15 minutes and half around 20. My food was supposed to be extra hot and was not, although still tasty. Somebody came to check on us at some point, but we also had to flag someone down to get a to go box as that seems the one thing they don't have self service on. And judging from what was happening to the table next to us we we weren't the only ones experiencing issues. Pet peeve, when you order, on your phone, at Nando's they ask for tipping like it's a full service restaurant. This is particularly annoying when you're tipping before service and then the service is lacking.

Yelp
I love me some Peri-peri! I used to live in Australia, and when I traveled to Melbourne, I would always go to Nando's. I've also been to Nando's in the DC area and the UK. Needless to say I was happy to see them opening less than 10 minutes from my house. Nando's is near Perimeter Mall at a new retail and living complex. Everything there is brand new. You have to park in the garage and kind of figure out how to get to the different restaurants/shops. Not a big deal, but it is not intuitive. The ambiance is casual. You see a hostess and are then seated. From there you can order via your phone using the app or their website. There is a counter you can go to order if you prefer. The food is made fresh to order. I really like the Peri Peri chicken. And the French fries served with Peri-nase is just awesome. They do sell some alcoholic beverages and there is a self service soda machine. I had a sangria and it was solid. I have been on my own and with my family of 5 and everyone seems to enjoy it. I find the prices reasonable, the food very good, service is solid, and just an overall very good experience. When they first opened it was extremely crowded and waits were long, but a couple months in and things have settled down. If you have not had Nando's before, you really should try it.

Lauren O.

Yelp
I really wanted to rate this higher. I was so excited for Nandos to open here and I finally tried it. The food was delicious, as always. However, the rest of the experience could be improved. The parking is in the garage so you have to walk a bit to get there. The restaurant space indoors is tight so you are right up next to tables next to you. You order at the counter or in a QR code and they bring you your food. But you go and get your own drinks and silverware and are still expected to tip 15% lowest in the app. The food came out separately- my food came out 10 minutes before the other person at the table. Hoping they can work out the kinks in the timing but not sure the space will be able To improve. They do have a large outdoor area that may be nicer when it's warmer outside.

Yelp
Nando's Peri-Peri has finally landed near Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, GA, and it's a must-visit for anyone who loves flavorful, flame-grilled chicken. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Nando's started in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987, inspired by Portuguese-Mozambican cuisine. They've since gained a global following, known for their signature Peri-Peri sauce made from African Bird's Eye Chili and a blend of garlic, lemon, and other herbs and spices. My wife and I stopped by to try their whole chicken platter with double fries, and wow--this place lived up to the hype! The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, with a perfectly grilled, flavorful skin that packed just the right amount of spice and smokiness. The fries were seasoned to absolute perfection, making them the ideal side. And let's talk about the sauces! While all the Peri-Peri options were tasty, the herb sauce was our favorite--it complemented the chicken beautifully without overpowering its natural flavors. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking is a breeze, too, with a free parking deck conveniently located nearby. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and vibrant decor that reflects the brand's South African roots. Whether you're new to Nando's or a long-time fan, this location is a standout addition to Dunwoody's dining scene. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. If you're near Perimeter Mall and looking for something delicious, give Nando's a try--you won't regret it!

Yelp
PLEASE COME AND TRY Came for a quick lunch during work and wow I need to come back For someone who lovesss spicy food this place hit the spot. The spicier the sauce gets it doesn't get saltier. They do a good job at still maintaining the flavors. Chicken was fried to have a perfect crisp and juicy insides. You order at your table, grab your own water and silverware and the food will be brought out to you. Portion size is perfect The pickled cauliflower that came with the Rainbow bowl was SO GOOD. The area this restaurant is in is still developing but seems like it'll become a family friendly spot to come hang out in! Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
I was really excited when I heard that Nando's Peri-Peri had opened up. I went there with my friends and family. The service was a bit slow, probably because they had just opened and the place was completely packed. I loved my chicken and all the sauces; it was super juicy. However, I did not like the rice--it was very dry, cold, and hard. I would recommend skipping the rice and sticking with the chicken, salad, and other options. The chicken wings were also good. The outdoor ambiance is much better than the indoor setting, especially during the summer, as the outside view is beautiful. I would definitely give it a second chance since I love Peri-Peri chicken, and hopefully, my next experience will be much better. Overall, I would rate this first visit a six out of ten.

D'Jillisser K.

Yelp
Today marked my second visit to Nando's Peri Peri! My first experience felt a bit impersonal in terms of customer service, but this time was completely different. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff--from servers to the manager--was incredibly welcoming and attentive. It reminded me of how much customer service can elevate or diminish a dining experience. Beyond the service, the restaurant's setup and design are beautiful. There's an outdoor patio, an indoor dining area, and a bar, allowing you to choose your spot based on availability. Conveniently, they have water stations both inside and on the patio. Ordering is easy: they provide a menu to browse, and when ready, you can scan a QR code to place your order through your phone. Nando's offers a variety of chicken dishes. On my first visit, I enjoyed a chicken meal with corn, rice, and macaroni. This time, I tried the chicken bowl, which came with hummus, rice, cherry tomatoes, and pickled cucumbers--absolutely delicious! I also had peri-peri fries with ranch dipping sauce, and finished with a tart for dessert.

Yelp
The last time I went to Nando's was several years ago in London. So, my cousins and I made sure to set aside time to go to this one while we were visiting Atlanta. The good news is the food was just as delicious as I remembered. However, there were a couple aspects of my meal that made this a less than five-star experience. We went on a Friday night and although it was busy, we were seated right away. I don't mind Nando's style of self-service -- you can order from the counter or at your table by scanning a QR code. Then, your food will be brought to you, but you don't have to bus your own table after. I ordered the three boneless thighs meal with two sides. My first gripe is that the food took a while. We made the mistake of ordering individually rather than doing a group order so our meals were served at different times. While that was our mistake, it still took a long time for the first meal at our table to be served. I was happy with the taste of the food once it arrived though. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I ordered medium spicy but it wasn't hot at all for me. I'd definitely go for a hotter level next time. I paid extra to get a total of two sides with my meal (it only comes with one by default) and extra again for premium sides: brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. The brussel sprouts and macaroni were both excellent but my second gripe is that I had way less mac and cheese than one of my cousins who also ordered it. Her bowl was filled to the brim, mine was around halfway. It was weird to see such a big inconsistency with the portion sizes and it was a shame because it was so tasty. Overall we still had a good experience and I'm glad I got to try Nando's again.

Renee W.

Yelp
I was so excited to try the Nando's here in Atlanta. Whenever I am in DC it's my go to spot. The location is beautiful but something was just different than the one I went to in DC. Maybe it was what I ordered which was the bowl. They put this small piece of chicken breast on the plate with tons of rice a little corn and nasty red peppers and hummus. It was okay. My sister had the chicken sandwich and it had just a small piece of chicken on it. I guess we all are getting a little bit of food for higher prices everywhere. I wasn't all that over the moon when we left. May go back but don't have to.

Khusbu P.

Yelp
If yall never had nandos in your life, this is your sign to try IT OUT! Yall are missing out! Peri peri sauce is ahhhmazzzinngg! I have had Nandos all around the world, London, Dubai, Singapore , India and their food is the same quality and I feel like it just keeps getting better. I will be moving to atl and I am so gladddddd cause I will be coming here every other week. Service the first time our server that sat us down was so accommodating since we here on a time crunch and she made sure our food was out in under 20 mins. They have a long wait on weekends and after a certain time, obviously but it's so worth it. Def GO

Talesha C.

Yelp
Definitely a new hotness that delivers deliciousness in each bite. We came here on a Saturday at noon. Since this was our first time, the hostess explained how orders worked, how the menu was laid out, and where the sauces and drinks were. She was great. We ordered the peri peri wings with hot sauce with a side of fries and rice. The wings were grilled and cooked well; however, I feel that they could have been seared with the sauce on them and tossed in the sauce again after they were done to entire ample sauce coating. We also ordered the peri chicken rainbow bowl with the lemon & herb chicken breast. You are given the option to order chicken breast or chicken thighs. I opted for the chicken breast because I assumed it would be about the size of two thighs; however, it was not. One of the servers heard me say this and brought out another lemon & herb chicken breast and I was so thankful! The customer service here was definitely top tier and the restaurant stayed packed! When we arrived at noon, there was no wait, but when we left around 3pm, there was an hour and 15 minute wait to be seated at the restaurant, so it's definitely a hot spot right now. So back to the lemon & herb peri chicken breast rainbow bowl: it was absolutely delicious. I loved the lemon & herb seasoning and also the hummus and rice. It was absolutely perfect. I don't even know if I can credit one particular item of the dish. Please check it out for yourself. So good.

Yelp
I went up on a random Thursday from the office, as everyone said I had to try nando's. I got the peri peri bowl, and it was good... not great... good. Portion was small for the price, took 15 minutes for a take out order because the guy went on break, but flavor was decent. Now I sit here 9 hours later hugging the toilet wishing I never heard of Nandos. Never again.

Yelp
Price: $-$$ ($12 - $20 per person) Food: ***** Service: **** Ambiance: ***** Location: **** If you're cruising around Dunwoody, GA, and your stomach's growling for some fire, you've gotta hit up Nando's Peri Peri. Picture this: you walk in, the vibe's all chill with a dash of spice, just like their wings. We went for the Peri Peri wings, and let me tell you, they were on point! The sauce was a perfect blend of zesty and fiery, making you want to fan your face while simultaneously reaching for another wing. But hold up, the real star was the Peri Peri chicken. This bird wasn't just cooked; it was loved, marinated in their special sauce that they must've concocted with some kind of magic. It was juicy, succulent, and had that perfect char that makes you think of barbecues in your dreams. The spices hit you just right - not a punch, but more like a playful slap from a friend, saying, "Wake up, taste this!" Nando's isn't just a meal; it's an experience where your taste buds throw a party and everyone's invited.

Melanie H.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Nando's, my partner has had it in the past and he said it was pretty good. We arrived fairly early on a Saturday (12:30ish) so there wasn't a wait, however, when we left about an hour later there were a few people waiting and several more getting off the elevator to go there. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made some suggestions, which was super helpful. The establishment is cute, and there's plenty of outdoor seating, which will be nice in the fall and spring. The food was decent. The chicken is well marinated and tender. The sides leave something to be desired though. The fries were a bit soggy and the Brussels needed a touch more love.

J. H.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service makes this a goto culinary destination. Adult beverages were just ok but not bad.

Sumedha M.

Yelp
OMG Nando's deserves all the hype it gets. Literally some of the best chicken I've ever had. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked -- I already want to go back. We got the Hot flavor and it was really good. The Peri-Peri fries and mayo were also amazing -- definitely worth it. The Cauliflower was okay but nothing special, unless you love Cauliflower, it's not necessary to get. The service was amazing -- everyone was really nice. The ambiance was even more amazing!! It was such a fun and pretty environment, definitely worth eating at the restaurant. We went for a late dinner and the restaurant at night was very aesthetically pleasing. But my favorite part was definitely the fact that they had all their sauces on the side for us to go up and try them all! I absolutely loved Nando's and already want to go back.

Millie C.

Yelp
Came for lunch and the wait wasn't too bad. I noticed that they do limit the seating, probably to let the kitchen catch up. We ordered two thighs, two breast and the sides. For sides we got the Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and fries. The extra hot sauce was so good! Definitely my favorite if you can handle some spice. The chicken was also tender and juicy! The mashed potatoes were definitely my favorite! It was garlicky and buttery! The Brussels sprouts were also pretty good and very crispy. The Mac and cheese however was definitely lacking some flavor. It wasn't salty at all. I would say the service here is lacking, it is still very new but we actually didn't get a server at all. We just ordered through the qr code, someone brought out our food but you have to go and grab water and utensils yourself at the back which we didn't know. No one came to check on us and we had to walk to the kitchen to get some to go boxes. They are definitely working out some kinks with service (I think) or this is a self service spot (not sure). But anyways, the food was pretty good and I'd come back but would probably do take out instead.

Alexis H.

Yelp
I'm back a month later like I promised I would be in my previous review... STILL NO TAKE OUT ORDERING ALLOWED. Guys please, it is almost 9 pm on a Tuesday. What is the issue?! It's ridiculous that people are having to come in, sit down, wait to receive their food to immediately request a to- go box. Like come on.... A staff member told me that they're waiting until the other location opens up in the area to offer take away, but that still makes no sense to me.

Mark A.

Yelp
Welcome to ATL, Nando's! Service was absolutely wonderful on our first visit. I got seated by myself while waiting for my wife & kids to meet up for dinner. Turns out, a miscommunication (on my part) meant we were eating later in the evening. So I have the menus back & let them know I'd be back. Flash forward a couple hours. We're seated & the hostess I spoke with remembers me & expressed delight in my return. On another occasion, I return to the table from the restroom & a manager is charging with my wife & daughter. Just checking in. Flash forward - dinner is served. I get up to get sauce & the manager checks in to make sure my daughter has her crayons & kid menu. Not only did she check in, but referred to my daughter by name. The flashes of brilliant service go a long way. Then there's the food. Yes. It lives up to whatever positive hype you've heard. SO GOOD! I look forward to a return visit for more!

Dazziyah M.

Yelp
The service here was amazing! I know everything is self serve and ordering was online , but our waiter was sweet enough to still assist me in helping with the menu and explaining it to me. Also giving me her personal favorites which I admired. The food was SO good. I can't even explain how much flavor was in my rainbow bowl. Everything just went together. The cauliflower, the hummus, the rice, the AMAZING chicken. My friend also enjoyed their chicken sandwich. They have been there before so they knew the food was bomb. Our drinks were good too! And the view is just perfect at night. I never even knew this place existed. I definitely will be back! 10000/100

Yelp
I LOVE NANDOS PERI PERI CHICKEN. The best sides are the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Try the hibiscus lemonade it's delicious. They have an outside area that's nice when it's warm out. The service is great , someone always comes by to check on you. It's great for big groups because you can order and pay your own check via QR code.

Yelp
So if you know you know about Nandos. It is a famous chain of restaurant that is famous in London and in the Asian market of the world. They finally started popping up around US starting in Washington DC, and just started a location in Atlanta which we had to try because we love Nando's.. I was quite impressed by the atmosphere and the service was good. The only thing I did not like that their app to order from the table was malfunctioning and they were super busy so they couldn't keep up with it. Other than that the food is always great. The variety of sauces and the chicken, the price so worth it definitely check it out if you've never eaten Nando's.

Yelp
We were seated very quickly, I went around 3 pm so not during a common time to eat and on a weekday. This is a restaurant where you order on your phone and pay on your phone. It is mainly self-serve, as you're ordering on the website for food, and water cups/silverware/sauces at a table to grab. The food was really good! I ordered the sweet & spicy chicken wrap. I put the lemon & herb sauce on top & it was amazing! I also got the honey drizzle sweet potatoes on the side and they were perfectly flavored/ seasoned. My friend ordered the chicken rainbow bowl and she said it was really good as well. We also ordered the hummus with drizzle which was very tasteful and perfect for an appetizer. My friend ordered the honey lavender lemonade, which was good. They forgot to bring out the drink so she had to find someone to get her drink. The restaurant is very cute! We sat outside and it had a nice view of the green area. There was a yellow jacket and fly that kept bothering me while I was eating but it's nature so we dealt with it. It was really nice weather and a good spot to eat! I would definitely recommend trying this place out, the food was amazing!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this new addition to the Dunwoody food scene. I'm told it's a UK chain. Its specialty is South African Peri-Peri chicken. I've been here twice now, and the food is delicious and not over-priced. My favorites have been the peri-peri wings, grilled halloumi cheese, garlic sticks, and naughty natas (basically Portuguese egg tarts). The drinks are great too. Only thing I wished was that it was a full-service kind of place bc overall people still tip 15-20%. I had a party of 7 recently come, and it was annoying to go up and get 7 sets of silverware and glasses and still tip fully. Atleast have the fork, spoon, knife all wrapped in one napkin bundle to make it easier. But honestly, having full service would make more sense if people are tipping anyways.

Yelp
I'm a vegetarian and I really enjoyed Nando's. It was very flavorful and tasty. Upon walking in a host seats you and let's you know to scan the QR code and order online. Everything gets brought out to your table. In the back they have a big selection of all kinds of sauces. We tried 4 different ones and all of them were so good! I love that the menu has a lot of vegetarian options. The sweet potato and halloumi wrap I had was filling. The fries are season so well! I didn't enjoy the cauliflower because I expected it to be more crispy which it was not. The pineapple lemonade was also really good. Overall, I really liked all the food and I would eat here again.

Yelp
I visited Nando's Peri Peri with some co-workers yesterday for lunch and we heard that it was Day #2 of the opening. Location: It's on the street level of a newly constructed development and looks like one of the few places that's open. There is still a lot of construction on the storefront areas. Parking: there is a parking garage underneath the development. There aren't really good signs, so we had to push all the buttons until we figured out where the "street level" was (it's 2). It's definitely better to park in the garage than along the street unless you like climbing a lot of stairs (the escalators aren't working yet) The setup/ambience: it's a very casual place with options inside or on the patio. Once seated, you can order from their app, on the website with a QR code, or go to the bar for personalized assistance. I needed a customization that wasn't available in the app, so I used option 3. My co-workers ordered with the QR code. Food is delivered as it is ready to your table. Food: I had the rainbow bowl with chicken breast in "medium" sauce, but wanted a bed of greens instead of rice (hence the trip to the bay for ordering). It was good. There are a bunch of different sauces in bottles at the drink station that are available for you can test out to see which you like (they are varying degrees of spicy). I tried the lemon/herb, medium, and a third one that was medium hot with some herbs in it). The bowl was around $15 and was tasty. My only wish for something missing - I love iced tea, but don't like it sweetened at all. The only tea they offered was sticky sweet flavored tea. I would have loved an "unsweet" option. Service: this restaurant doesn't have typical table service, but the staff greeting us and delivering the food were very friendly.

Yelp
We had only recently heard about this restaurant opening, which contrasts with some of the fanfare that other restaurant openings had. Did not stop me from stopping by the first week as Nandos was a childhood staple for me. Located in a recently developed mixed use development in Dunwoody, parking was easy to find and free. But we expect parking to be more of a challenge as it sits across from a Puttshack and some other yet to open retail once everything opens up. We walked by the host who informed us of a 40 minute wait for an inside table but none to be seated outside. We elected to sit outside on the large outdoor terrace that was bug free which is more than we could say for some other restaurants. Orders were taken by QR code and came in around 20 minutes. I ordered a lemon lime half chicken with mac and cheese, and had the peach lemonade poncha for a drink. The chicken was grilled well. Mac and cheese was pretty bad and the breadcrumbs on top or hot sauce did not save it. Daniel got half a chicken as well with fries and halloumi. Tried some of the halloumi and it was on the rubbery side. Seasoned well though. Jimmy had some sort of chicken sandwich and the portion was pretty small. His request for no arugula on it was fulfilled though. Waitstaff were very busy. There were no water glasses near the self serve water station. Cutlery was also not brought around. All in all it was fine and satisfied the craving. Will wait a while before coming back.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant with my family (party of four) with high expectations. First of all, we had to wait a long time to be seated, and about ten minutes in a table for 4 opened up. Half the time we spent waiting we were forced to stand outside due to lack of space to stand inside, even though it was 40 degrees. My grandmother was with us, and even though she was clearly uncomfortable standing for so long, the staff did not have the decency to allow her to come inside and offer her a seat. But the wait staff seated a party who had just walked through the door. Another ten minutes later we were sat down, and shortly after we placed our order. I ordered a chicken salad, and 20 minutes later all of our food arrived. About halfway through the salad, I noticed something in my salad. It was a good sticker, and upon further examination, it was an avocado sticker. But my salad had no avocado on it... disappointing. We told the manager who was nice enough to refund my salad and gave us free desert, but the damage was done. Would not recommend unless you like to wait almost an hour to be seated and get your food.

Yelp
Service was wonderful, as people would round frequently to check on you, even though it was self serve and you order from your phone. The food came out quickly and was very fresh. The restaurant was vibrant and busy, but very clean and well maintained. Everything was wonderful. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
We have been waiting for this to open for along time and weren't disappointed. Food is what I expected, great of course with all those variety of sauces which Nando's is famous for yummy. Service is friendly and fast . The place is nice and clean , just be careful with the floors while walking inside , it's a bit slippery. Tip, Park on the second floor car park .

Yelp
Ordered the chicken platter and it came with 2 sides with the peri peri sauce. The chicken was tender and really flavorful, highly recommend!

Yelp
Years ago, I had the pleasure of experiencing Nando's at a pop-up event on The Beltline. The event was hosted by an Atlanta-based South African restaurateur. The event was a celebratory launch of their sauces being available in grocery stores, featuring chefs flown in from UK & South Africa to prepare the menu. The flavors were exceptional, and I became a fan of Nando's after tasting their peri peri chicken and sauces firsthand. However, my recent visit to this fast-casual location was underwhelming. While the sauces retained their great flavor, the rice and chicken were surprisingly bland. The price point and self-service model were also disappointing, especially with a gratuity option despite minimal wait staff service (they only serve food and bus tables). I was expecting a more authentic experience, having tasted their recipe from master chefs before. I will return to try their half chicken (I ordered skewers), hoping for a better experience.

Yelp
Nando's is my go to for homesickness. The location of the restaurant is really great, and their ordering service is excellent. We place our orders, and paid via the phone. The sauces are really good. The environment is pretty chill as well.

Yelp
I ordered the peri peri chicken with mango lime for me and my kids fries and mac n cheese husband has rice and fries as a side thought because it was packed the food was going to be good boy was I wrong the chicken was watery and slimy the chicken tasted like it was drenched in there peri sauce that they sell and the mac and cheese tasted prepackaged with Nandos touch of toppings the fries was the only thing that was okay overpriced for no reason would not recommend this place.

Yelp
First off, I love Nando's. I've been a customer for 25 years, visiting numerous locations in multiple countries. Never have I experienced such poor customer service and rude behavior at one of their locations, or anywhere else for that matter. A friend and I went to this recently opened location where a few people stood near the hostess station. Though there was no one else there but the hostess and the two in my party, no one said anything to me for a minute or two. Finally I was asked for my name, followed by not being able to find me on the wait list. I told her I was standing there waiting to be added to the list. The wait was 45 minutes, even though there were more open tables than people waiting. The hostess and her cohorts mumbled something about the kitchen being behind and not enough staff. I certainly understand staffing issues, but if your restaurant isn't fully prepared to launch, then don't! Hire more, train more, prepare more. That was surprising enough, but one cocky hostess looked straight at me and said, "what are you going to do about it?" Like it was my job to make their restaurant run smoothly, or maybe she thought she could pick a fight with a customer. She had the posture and head cock to go along with her attitude, while the other 2 hostesses just agreed with her and started staring at me as well. So Nando's, not only do you need to train your kitchen staff and servers, you need to hire hostesses who have a better grasp of customer service and don't insult the people who want to give you money. I should add that I emailed both the local restaurant and corporate office trying to resolve this issue privately. The fact that NO ONE has responded in 2 weeks has led to this review in the hope that it will get someone's attention and save some people from the same embarrassing and frustrating situation. Oh, and Nando's, you should add your management to your list of people to train. Or maybe it's your IT companies fault, but either way you've lost a 25 year customer.

Yelp
Finally got to try this past weekend with my friends and we were not disappointed. We waited about 20 minutes for a table which wasn't terrible considering the other stories I had heard. We received exceptional service and the food was really good . I enjoyed how unique the spice flavor was on the chicken. We had a 1/2 chicken with the hot flavor and another half with lemon herb. I definitely preferred the hot flavor over the lemon herb but I did enjoy that no matter what flavor you try it'll still have a little kick to it. I also had the mac and cheese that was okay. I felt the breadcrumbs really added to the flavor of the mac without it I dont think I would've liked it as much. I also ordered fries that were pretty good alongside the peri-nase dipping sauce. For dessert I had the raspberry cheesecake that was also just okay. Tasted a little too straight out the freezer for my liking but it was not terrible. Lastly, I felt that the cleanliness of the restaurant could be approved. It felt more like a restaurant that has been there for yeara that doesn't necessarily keep up with maintenance and appearance rather than a brand new restaurant. Otherwise, I enjoyed the fast causal ambience and look forward to returning to try the rest of their menu items!

Yelp
Food is AMAZING! But there is neither counter service nor table service. Customers must order using phones and get their own condiments, water, napkins & silverware, and to-go boxes - from a couple of stations. Hopefully this is temporary since they just opened.

Karissa R.

Yelp
Beautiful inside and outside, but we sat on the outside because it was a beautiful day. The hostesses were great and every staff member that interact with us had positive energy and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Most of the negativity in these reviews comes from the price. I think we are all living in decade old or pre pandemic pricing mindset which sucks. A regular simple meal shouldn't cost that much but it does these days. Even brunch is a luxury. I will say I ordered a lemon pepper leg and two sides, the rice and mashed potatoes and I was still hungry. I had a piece of my friends hallumi cheese which was delicious. Food taste was good but subpar compared to other Nandos locations experiences . I normally like my food steaming hot but I was waiting on my friend to receive her food first which took a little longer. Service and atmosphere especially the music was great. I will say the tipping suggestiong thing is a bit odd as it feels more counter service (self service through) and maybe this is why people are having also additional backlash to the pricing and food. I have visited Nandos in Chicago and there is usually counter service. The food was a bit tastier there too. Hopefully they will get better and not worst like some of the restaurants around Atlanta seem to do after opening for a bit.

Yelp
Excellent food and atmospher, love this place!! Have eaten at the ones in Washington and Johanesburg the Dunwoody location is excellent .

Yelp
The food tastes just like how it did overseas when I originally tried Nandos. Be prepared for crazy wait times for a table, we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes. They do not take reservations or do to go order as of right now. They're focusing on in dining experience which was good. We got their olives and half chicken with different sides. Overall really good experience and can't wait to go back!

Brent H.

Yelp
I know they just opened, but they need to work on service. We were told there was a 40 minute wait. It turned out being an 80 minute wait. The reason is that they kept pulling aside batches of two in groups, seating them, skipping over the parties of three or more. They wouldn't wipe off the seats and tables where it rained earlier, so we sat in wet chairs. The food was good, but was expensive for what you received. There was no real reason for a delay in service, as you order and pay using an app. All they needed was someone to cook your food, and then bring you glasses and the food. Drinks were self-service.

Yelp
I'd been seeing this place on social media and noticed it was very close to where I live! Stopped in to grab dinner tonight and was greeted right away! Very helpful and friendly staff! The food was fresh and very tasty! I will definitely be coming back. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn't like the dipping sauces lol I'm not a fan of lemon flavored sauces and the other ones were extremely vinegary... I'm just not a fan of the flavors of the sauces but it didn't take away from the food itself!

Yelp
Great ambiance and food. When I visit South Africa, Nando's is usually my first stop. Good to have one closer to home m, here in the ATL!

Yelp
Amazing food. I am literally addicted to this place lmao. They have the best mashed potatoes i've ever eaten in my entire life. The chicken is amazing and the peri ranch is nice as well.

Waleska E.

Yelp
If you're a fan of chicken, this place is an absolute must-visit. The chicken here is, without a doubt, the best I've ever had.
