The 38 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland

"Disneyland hotels have no shortage of fine dining, but Napa Rose is the best of them all. Stop by the Grand Californian Hotel restaurant for an upscale dinner or hit the lounge for post-ride cocktails and small plates like Spanish potato fritters and paella-style shrimp. There are also prix fixe and table format options. Either way, you can’t lose." - Carlye Wisel

All the Best Things to Drink at Disneyland | Eater LA

"This upscale restaurant boasts an award-winning wine list with more than 1,300 wines by the bottle, 17,000 selections in its wine cellar, and up to 80 wines by the glass, mostly from Napa Valley. Peruse the list or ask the server or bartender for a recommendation; the floor staff completed the first level of the Court of the Master Sommeliers course." - Caroline Pardilla

Service - The best part of our night was the service. Michael did an excellent job, we had one of the last time slots and I was surprised he still had the energy at the end of the day to be friendly and make jokes when checking in on us. We didn’t end up trying wines since we are not wine people and he gave no judgment for it and happily showed us the cocktail menu. The staff in general was great too - checking in on us and making sure to take away plates when we were done eating, refilling water, moving the courses along at our pace. Food - The food was great too. We tried the fixed price menu. The flavor was there for all the dishes - though some lacked the visually appealing element. I would give this part a 4/5. The wild boar dish was too heavy and it was visually the least appealing - there was a frothy thing on it and maybe I am no culinary expert - but it was weird. The fish of the day entree was great in flavor - though my fish was a little greasier than I would want. My husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The dessert was fantastic- truly no notes. Atmosphere - I would give this a 4/5. The restaurant felt a little dated. However, it did fit into the vibe I was expecting so not the worse thing. We were not sat near the open kitchen, so we didn’t get to see any of the chefs cooking - though this was more of a plus since it was a little more quiet and we enjoyed our chat more.

We had a phenomenal experience here after a long day at the parks. Very upscale Californian cuisine. The staff is well educated, patient, and courteous. The head chef does a good job of securing local ingredients and the management creates a peaceful atmosphere. The food is great, and they validate parking at the Californian! Can’t wait to come here again our next trip to Disneyland!

Google
What an exceptional experience. For starters our server Brett had outstanding knowledge of the menu the wines and the overall fine dining experiences in the area even outside of the local restaurants. The food was an unconventional mix of amazing flavors and spices to create one of the greatest restaurant experiences I can remember. I wanted to take more photos but I couldn't help but enjoy the food and wine despite it's hefty price, which I must say is very well worth it. I will definitely return to this place in the future, one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles or Orange County in my opinion

This is the best food at the resort available to the public. It was all very delicious. You should expect to spend a few hours here, the food comes out a little at a time. All of my meats were cooked to perfection. Our server was also very nice and knowledgeable of the menu.

If you’re looking for fine-dining at its finest, there’s no need to traverse the globe. The Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is without a doubt in the top five restaurants I’ve eaten at in the world. Having dined there three nights in a row during my stay at the hotel, and having worked my way across the menu during that time, I can honestly say that the chefs and kitchen team here have a unique kind of magic all their own. I’m talking the freshest seasonal ingredients, amazing counterbalances of flavors and textures, stunning presentation, and creativity combined with execution at the absolute highest level. If you’re a fan of luxurious, unique, deeply flavorful food, you simply must make the journey here. Just as one would pair the perfect wine with an excellent entree, the Napa Rose also pairs exceptional cuisine with a sensational staff. To start with, the management is incredible. I cannot say enough fantastic things about Jess, and Jacob is very nice as well. As far as servers go, two very special standouts at the restaurant are Julio and David. They know every inch of the Napa Rose menu, and that expertise on the chef’s creations, pairings, and flavors allows them to speak with confidence and clarity about every item offered. Their attentiveness and amazing attitudes paired with the truly unbelievable food always make my whole Napa Rose experience unforgettable. The restaurant is also truly lucky to have Christina, Roberto, Rodrigo, Hugo, Irvin, Victor, and both Michaels. They are exceptional, friendly, attentive, knowledgable, and delightful. And at the front you have to love the great service provided by Natalia, Mika, Gene, and Dee. The whole team's warmth rivals the hot food coming out of the stellar kitchen full of talented chefs and creative leadership. And their efficiency in terms of speed and keeping the flow of dinner going rivals the smoothest flow of the most well-oiled ride at either theme park. I look forward to enjoying more of the chef’s immaculate, unrivaled culinary triumphs in the future.

Thank you Wonderful Wendy! You made our evening with your smiles and humor. You chose the right wine for my dinner. Sorry I added tequila to the mix, as I was a little chilly from the breeze coming from the side room. We tried out three cocktails. The Napa Rose we sent back because it was so sweet tasting like a pixie stick candy. The Bitter Storm was a better drink with warm flavors. I loved the Abeja Asesina with Mezcal and Bourbon as the flavors were bright and refreshing. Tiger Prawn Salad was flavorful. The Frog Legs were better than I expected and nicely plated. The tender Black Angus filet mignon with the shredded smoky oxtail was amazing. The Herb Roasted duck breast was tender and lightly seasoned. The buttery mushroom soup was warming and lovely as a dipping sauce for the sweet potato bread. Dessert was apple stuffed French toast. That was lightly sweet and not like a typical toast bread. The atmosphere was relaxing with warm wood colors. We sat facing the open kitchen which was great for me because I work at a fine dining open kitchen. We listen in on the executive chef calling out the orders. The GM visited us twice and I watched as the floor managers made sure to touch the tables to check on guests. They even served dishes and poured wine. I have to say that this is top quality service I would expect from this establishment.

Over all 3 stars. Dish presentation was beautiful, food taste was ok. Some dishes were a bit salty. Service was good. Atmosphere was elegant.

Google
The food was great but we were stuck in a part of the restaurant that felt like an afterthought, in the lounge area, next to the check in desk, feeling the constant draft of the door. (Despite making reservations months in advance) It took two hours from sitting down to the main course which we also didn't expect. Of course a high end restaurant has longer pauses between courses but this was a bit excessive and I wonder if we were forgotten because we were outside of the main area of the restaurant. I was still hungry when we left, which I didn't have last time we dined here. The server was friendly and the food was good but it did feel far from the fine dining experience we had last year when we visited the restaurant. Supposedly there is a dress code but I think less than a quarter of guests aren't in t-shirts so don't bother. I think you can (and should) expect more from a restaurant where you pay hundreds of dollars for a meal.

Yelp
Always a great experience coming to Napa rose! It's one of my favorite places to eat while in Disney! They have their menu setup as a 4 course pre fixe with lots of choices per course. I had my favorite cocktail - the Napa passion, and I felt like it's gotten an upgrade on the presentation since the last time I was able to eat here which was probably about a year ago. For food, my stand out favorites were the California Tide pools, the Ahi tuna Crudo, and the beef. The hot chocolate was also a delicious dessert! Service here is always great, our waiter was very nice. I do feel like they spaced out the first two courses quite a bit, which wasn't necessarily bad, but it did seem like there was extra time allotted in between those two courses. Looking forward to my next visit !

Yelp
We've been coming to the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose every year, but sadly, this will be our last. At $150 per person (for anyone over 3), the experience just doesn't justify the cost anymore--especially with no alcohol included. Service: Our server, Dominic, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and great with the kids. The princesses were lovely as always, and our kids had a magical time. The food itself was solid, no complaints there. Why We're Not Coming Back: Unfortunately, management has made some noticeable cost-cutting changes, stripping away some of the special perks that made this experience worth it in previous years. Here's what's missing compared to last year: * Kids now pay the same price as adults (used to be half price) and price increased to $150 * No included champagne (used to be part of the experience). * Princess interactions are more limited--they used to come around to different areas and even did a little dance. * No more dedicated "round robin" time with princesses at each table. * No take-home gift for kids at the end. For $150 per person, I expected more. If you're a huge Disney fan, your kids will still love it--but at this price point, it's hard to ignore the cutbacks. Disappointed that Disney seems to be charging more for less.

Yelp
We don't like to dress up to eat but we like to eat oLucky for us, they had seating in the lounge. I saw their signature - best hot chocolate on the menu before our Disney trip. It's not on their normal menu but they let us order it! I've been dying to order this for years. It's delicious! The presentation, everything. With an almond orange kringle pastry, very crisp, and toasted hazelnuts with foamy whip cream on the thick hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate and this is one of the best I've had. I loved the variety of menu items. Our server was sweet enough to go over the whole menu with us. What does winter goose taste like? In this case, it tasted like a gamier piece of the oyster of a turkey, the rich back dark meat. The pot pie came out nice and hot, the goose was cooked in a rich Merlot. En croute is cooked in a pastry. I did not get an overwhelming flavor from the pastry but that's okay because it tasted great dipped in the Merlot sauce. Roasted Colorado lamb loin, pomegranate lemon mint. The lamb was so tender. The flavors were excellent. Mint goes well with lamb and this was the perfect sauce with the pomegranate. The warm gingerbread notes to the sticky toffee made a nice change from regular sticky toffee with caramelized brown sugar. The addition of the pineapple pear sherbet gave it another flavor profile and the edible sugary green leaf gave it a beautiful presentation. Some people are really dressed, some casual and some with kids after a day in the park. I think it's totally worth it to relax with a cup of coffee or iced tea here after a day or a few hours in the park with some good bites, desserts, or meal.

Yelp
Let me start by saying... I LOVE DISNEY! LOCATION (5/5): Inside Disneys Grand Californian Hotel. It's one of their fine dining restaurants not inside the park. AMBIANCE (3/5): White table cloths, semi-fancy. Semi-fancy because you can go dressy or wearing casual Disney merch and still fit in their dress code. It's mostly adults, but I do see lots of children with their families. I'd say more of a "date night" spot. SERVICE (5/5): Service was top notch! It wasn't super busy when we arrived @ 6pm on a weekday, but once we left around 8pm the restaurant started filling up. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often! FOOD (3/5): It's a Prix Fixe Menu of 4 COURSES total. AMUSE-BOUCHE: this is a FREE stater course that is compliments of the chef. A one bite starter before your meal starts. It was a custard with crispy bread crumbs on top and we LOVED IT! 1ST COURSE: CHARED PACIFIC AHI TUNA CRUDO - we both got the same dish and it was OK. It tasted fine, but I just feel like the flavors fell flat. There was not much going on, needed some acid of some sort. Looked pretty, tasted meh. Sadly, the crouton tasted better than the tuna. 2ND COURSE: WINTER GOOSE POT PIE - this dish was YUMMY! The puff pastry on top was chefs kiss & how unique is GOOSE as your protein? It was juicy & tender. Would recommend! 3RD COURSE: COLORADO LAMB LOIN - this was average. The FILET MIGNON was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Whatever sauce they put on it really made the dish incredible. Skip the lamb and order the FILET trust me. 4TH COURSE: BAKED CHEESE "KOLACHE" - this was the dessert course. It was salty & sweet. I thought it was good. OVERALL (3.5/5): I was expecting more flavors from the food. The only dish that actually blew me away was the FILET MIGNON. The rest were good, but not impressive enough to come back for awhile. Service was great! & Disney experience made it more enjoyable.

Yelp
We stayed at the Grand California this past week and checked out the fanciest meal I've ever had at Disneyland...Napa Rose We opted to share all the appetizers and second dishes in lieu of ordering mains and everything was fantastic. Most of the dishes are designed for single portion but we still were able to atleast sample a few bites each My favorites were the crying tiger salad and mushroom soup The sommelier, David, was awesome as well and we had polished off a bottle of sancerre with dinner The staff was extremely attentive and paid extra attention to my friend's treenut allergy throughout our meal Definitely a place for more special occasion food experience, given the much higher price point and gourmet dishes ...but in highly recommend a meal at the Napa Rose. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here. Definitely pricey but worth trying at least once. Service is always top notch. We started with rosemary parmesan pull apart bread that was served with butter and sun dried tomato sauce. It was delicious! Definitely worth it. For entrees, I had the Prime Eye of the Ribeye. It was served on a bone marrow mashed potato type of puree. The serving seemed small but I was surprisingly full afterwards. It was amazing! Looking forward to trying the chefs counter one of these days. In the meantime, my bank account needs to recover a bit.

Yelp
I recently returned again today for another Princess Breakfast with my sister for a sister date to de-stress. Everything was great and I really do love their food, service, and the ambiance of getting to meet the Disney Princesses! Parking validation is free for 5 hours when dining in at the Grand Californian. Our waiter was fantastic and he was great about letting us know about which Princesses were available to meet. The food was delicious like always and they have the best Mickey waffles here! One new appetizer that I got to try was the cornbread that had this cheese cream cheese. It was yummy! I got to enjoy the basket of pastries this time as they took it away too quickly last time, and those were so delicious especially with the lemon curd spread. My only complaint which is a big one is that they took away the "complimentary" glass of champagne for adults. My poor waiter had to let me know after I asked him about it. But this is why the removal of the "complimentary" champagne upsets me. When I went last year in August 2023, it was $125. When I made my advanced dining reservation on July 30th for today, it was $135 at the time. Somehow, from July to September, they increased the price of the breakfast to $142 which is way over the inflation rate for OC. Getting the bill surprised me because I was expecting $135 per person. It's already a steep price increase but to also take away a feature that's just a simple glass of champagne just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because essentially with the hefty price, guests are really paying for the "complimentary" champagne. Which begs the question: What are we actually paying for now with a $17 price increase within the span of a year? I can't help but think that the new cast member contract has something to do with the huge jump in price. No hate to the cast members who work there as they're wonderful and work so hard and deserve every cent of a livable wage. They make the experience magical! But unfortunately, this was my eye opening moment for my boujee self that the Disney corporate greed continues to sour the magic as their solution for paying their workers fairly is to overcompensate what they charge their guests. And $142 per kid too for ages 3-9? Sheesh.

Yelp
The food was good but extremely expensive, the restaurant was nice but service was whatever. We came here for a light dinner one night and it was a decent experience. We sat at the bar. Reservation is highly recommended, but the bar could be easy for those who just wants to have an informal dinner. We ordered drinks and food. The food did take quite a bit of time to come out. Small portions very expensive, the flavor was good but for how much you're paying not sure if it's worth it. Even bread was $20. Service was a bit slow, and for a restaurant of this caliber, I had to ask for things several times. Mediocre experience, unlikely to return.

Yelp
Overall, we had a great experience visiting for brunch on a Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant was adorable, beautifully decorated, and had plenty of activities to keep kids entertained. One of the highlights was getting to meet and greet with the princesses, which made the day even more special. The buffet experience was pleasant-staff started us off with scones and brought out additional appetizers on a cute tray. They were very accommodating of allergies, ensuring everyone in our party had a great experience. The food itself was good for a breakfast buffet, but not particularly extraordinary, especially considering the price. I'd say this is a great spot if you have kids who would love meeting the princesses, but for me, it was a one-time experience I likely won't need to repeat.

Yelp
Review is for their Disney Princess Adventure (Breakfast) Reservations are key and needed early. Ambiance is amazing with excellent theming, a live musician, and excellent staff to make you feel like royalty. The main draw is the princesses- we got to see a total of 8! They have two main staging areas to see them, which rotates about every hour with new princesses to meet and greet. Food was good but definitely not the reason you come. They have nicely themed and cute looking appetizers and desserts (nothing special in general) however I did like their chocolate chia seed parfait and banana foster with berries. They also have a pastry basket with their blueberry scone being great. The middle/main course is on a buffet line that includes Mickey waffles and eggs, sausage, bacon, fruits, and steak. They were all nice and flavorful just not necessarily spectacular. Overall the service and ambiance and experience were all top tier 10/10. The food is good but for a steep price ($135 per person) however, the food is NOT the reason you come here. When you see your kid with the princesses and seeing the experience, it was totally worth it hands down, and would be back maybe in a few years.

Yelp
*Review for the Chef's Counter* From start to finish, the service at Napa Rose's Chef's Counter was absolutely amazing. I've dined at nice places before, but the level of attentiveness here was unmatched--having someone help with my coat when I sat down and again when I left was a nice surprise. Our server was Mickey Sato you could tell he really enjoyed his job, making the experience even more enjoyable. The executive chef, Clint, personally welcomed us and gave us a rundown of what to expect, which added an extra layer of excitement and connection to the meal. We were seated right in front of the entrée section, and watching the chefs in action was awesome. The hustle, precision, and artistry that went into each dish were incredible and gave me a deep appreciation for the food we were eating. Each dish was so unique and beautifully presented to us, and the detailed explanation that accompanied each course made us savor each dish even more. One unique aspect of the experience is that at times, they brought my husband and me different entrees so we could share and try more dishes. It's a great way to taste a variety of things, but if you're not into sharing food, just something to keep in mind. They change the menu out, so I won't go into details about each dish, but the meats were cooked to perfection and we even finished the frog legs! It was still kind of weird, but it was more of a mental thing. After more than 2.5 hours, we left full and satisfied. The $200 per person (not including tax and tip) price tag was worth it for this birthday treat. A heads-up: reservations for the Chef's Table can't be made online--you'll need to call the hotel directly to book through voicemail. Also, the seating is arranged in groups of four, so if you have a larger party, you won't be able to sit together. This was truly a unique experience, and I can't recommend it enough for a special occasion or a memorable night out.

Yelp
The food was excellent but even more than that the service was the best I've experienced in LA possibly ever. It was a business dinner with friends. We didn't order everything on the menu but everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the frog legs, they were tender and not gamey. But honestly it's was the sauce, with leeks and poached potatoes that made that dish really good. The salad was extremely fresh. My friends both ordered the fish which was bass and they said it was very good. I have had a pork chop that wowed me only twice out at restaurants, but it was so good that I keep chasing the flavors. I tried the pork chop with sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce. It did not disappoint. I don't know how long it will be there, but if you can get it...Get it!!! And if you go get our servers Roberto and Rodney. They truly are the magic there.

Yelp
First off my worst ever dining experience. $72 per person, drinks extra, sides extra. Firstly none of the flatware on our table matched, all different at each place setting. Secondly or Dining Host did not know what the items were on the menu, he kept picking the menu up and reading it to us, excuse me this is unacceptable behavior in a High End restaurant. He did not know the drinks we asked for. Then the food began arriving, first off the appetizer of Scallops, $28 one scallop and came to the table smelling very old, no sweetness just flavor drained by being served on Monday which had been being help since Friday. $72 Braised Short ribs, one piece, super fatty and grizzle. $72 New York Steak was served in 3 very thin strips of meat, no recognition as to a New York Strip. $72 pork unrecognizable weird color sauce weird flavor. Sustainable Fish, oh fucking please, there is more fish in a McDonald Fillet o fish. Now after having waited 38 minutes to even begin appetizers, Salad 46 minutes later, dinner served one hour and 15 minutes later, in between we were brought a portobello cappuccino compliments of the chef, however we were charged $28 for each cappuccino. It was not good. Now to top it all off besides our table of 7, and two others tables of 3 were the only patrons in the restaurant. Not worth wasting your money on, poor unsuspecting tourists. A complete disappointment.

Yelp
You'll need a reservation to dine here, and you'll receive a call the day of confirming your reservation. Menu selection is limited, but they have a wide selection of wines available. I was here celebrating a friend's bday. The evening started off well enough. Our waiter was nice and went through the menu. The prices can be steep, but some of the selections are able to be shared. Also, there is a small selection of non alcoholic drinks for the designated drivers! We started off with the Tiger salad followed by the gnocchi for our second course and then the duck. All three courses were absolutely delicious and very filling even though we shared. There is quite a bit of wait in between courses, though, so be prepared for that. For some reason, our waiter seemed more somber as the night progressed. I guess he was just tired, so we tried not to hold it against him. The restaurant itself is very nice, and they have an open kitchen area where you can see the executive chef and other chefs working. Overall, it was a great experience. Too bad it didn't come with complimentary dessert for the birthday we were celebrating like other restaurants would have offered, but it wasn't a big deal.

Yelp
This is a great place to dine during your Disneyland adventures if you don't mind splurging a little and manage to get a reservation. The atmosphere is great and the service is always amazing! One thing to note - expect to be here for a few hours if you decide to dine here. They offer a prix fixe menu (Vintner's Table Menu) if you have a big appetite. I ordered the Diver Scallop and Smiling Tiger salad. The presentation of the dishes is top notch. We also got a delicious dessert as we were celebrating birthdays at our table. My favorite part about this place is truly the service. The servers are really knowledgeable in recommending wine and make an effort to take care of the guests.

Yelp
We went to Napa Rose for a nicer meal after several days of disappointing meals at Disney/Anaheim. It was the perfect way to end the meal - we had amazing service, a delicious meal (e.g., pork chop, roasted duck) and a perfect piece of birthday dessert for our 8-year old at the end. Normally, we have very low expectations for Disney food (even at Carthay Circle, which was supposed to be fine dining). The ambience was great - despite being touted as fine dining, a lot of people still came in underdressed. That said, great experience overall and probably the best meal we had in Anaheim.

Yelp
Our first visit but definitely not our last, this place is incredible. The drinks are very well made and they have a nice Bourbon selection with decent pricing. Everything we ordered was superb. The Scallops were cooked perfectly, the tomato's so fresh and the mushroom Cappuccino was to die for. I would go back just to eat that again and again. We ordered the fish with the lemon foam, cooked perfectly with wonderful flavors and finished the meal with coffee and pitaschio cake. Along with the wonderful food comes top notch service so there is really no reason not to stop by on your next visit to the Grand Californian Resort.

Yelp
My SIL booked a reservation for the Disney Princess Breakfast to celebrate my niece's birthday. She said reservations were extremely difficult, but she was able to get max reservations 60 days ago. Adults are $135 and children ages 3 to 9 is also $135 per person. The restaurant is located inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The place was pretty packed when we arrived around 10:30am on a Sunday. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I was excited to try their food. It was a three course breakfast (starters, main courses, and royal desserts). My favorite was definitely the starters because it was a 3 tier tower of appetizers. I was also able to try their buffet items (Mickey Mouse pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruits, etc.) and they were tasty. I also enjoyed their fries and scones. My nieces were able to get autographs from at least 6 different princesses. They were all very nice and made them feel extra special. I especially enjoyed story time with Belle. Our server was also extremely friendly and gave my niece a couple of desserts. Overall, it was a great experience for a first timer like me, but of course it's on the pricier side given that it is a Disney restaurant.

Yelp
My friend and I had been making our way around Disneyland for their fine dining and Napa Rose was the last one on our list to try. Located inside the Grand Californian hotel, the restaurant occupies an impressive space with a large open kitchen where you can see the all of the chefs hard at work. As indicated in its name, Napa Rose is an upscale Californian cuisine and boasts an excellent wine list. For appetizers, my friend and I shared the the duck confit and pesto pasta. While the flavors were on point for both dishes, portions are definitely on the smaller side. I also ordered the Spanish "Paella" Red Carabinero Shrimp for my main entree which fortunately had decently sized portion. The flavor was delicious and tasted close to exactly like paella with not only shrimp, but also fish and mussels. Our waitress was warm and hospitable and checked up on us regularly. Service was friendly overall and had a great vibe. If I were to return again, it would probably be for the chef's table during a special occasion.

Yelp
A dream is a wish your heart makes....when you attend the Disney princess breakfast at Napa Rose. The afternoon tea is absolutely delicious and you can ask for more savoury items free of charge which I tend to lean towards since I find that the towers are typically loaded with sweets. They have absolutely stunning desserts with their Princess and the frog macarons and Ariel inspired dessert cups. It's easy to enjoy your meal but just as easy to become distracted by the rotating princesses. I was hoping that they would come by the table like many of the other meet and greets but this is a walk to the princess type of meal so be prepared for quite a few interruptions from your eager little one. Belle also has story time in one corner of the restaurant which makes for a truly special experience. You get pro photos included within your breakfast package and also a necklace for your own princess. It truly is worth every penny. The hostess was also incredibly accommodating by allowing us in when we mixed up our reservation time. They made what could have been a very stressful situation completely stress free which I'm very appreciative of. If you or your little one are a fan of Disney Princesses, I wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world.

Yelp
Update (Sep 2024): We had the pleasure of dining again at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose. The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional. The service (Michael and team) was some of the very best we have ever had. Watching Chef Chin and his talented team at work was such a great experience. The food and wine -- outstanding! I can't come close to remembering all of the food. What we were served this time was all completely different. My wife's courses were all completely different from mine, and tailored specifically to her preferences. The same was true for all of the wind paring as well. The braised short rib that I was served is the best I have ever had anywhere. Gnocchi with lamb was also outstanding, as was the scallop, ravioli, and every other course. Highly recommended ... this is one of our favorite dining experiences anywhere. We were surprised that this experience was even better than our first. Reservations open the 1st day of the month, 60 days before the month you want a reservation for. The reservations are only taken by voicemail and it starts at 12 midnight Pacific Time. For us, this means setting an alarm for just before 2am Central, but it seems far more reliable (and equitable) than trying to get other hot Disney dining reservations through the website.

Yelp
I have to say that I was super excited to get a reservation for chef's counter. I only ever hear amazing things and have been wanting to try it for years. Perhaps it got built up too much in my mind, but after having the fortune to experience it, I felt letdown. To be fair, I would rate the overall experience as 3.5 stars. The reason I gave 3 rather than 4 stars is that, with the somewhat recent price increase (as it's now been a couple months since I visited), I really question whether it is worth what they charge. I had consistently heard that Napa Rose has some of the best food around Disneyland Resort. Based on my experience last night, I would agree that it's some of the best food but comparable to Carthay Circle. The food is generally solid but not amazing, and you pay a hefty premium for it. It was a lot of food. Even though each course portion was small, they needed to be because we got 7 or 8 courses. It seems that a lot of the items we received were off the Valentine's Day menu. Also, I always thought the menu at chef's counter would be uniquely catered to each person at the counter. Turns out, you generally just get a combination of dishes off the vintner's menu and general dining room. To me, that was a bit disappointing because it's not a fully custom meal, and I probably would just have preferred to select my courses myself. There were some tasty dishes but not enough to justify the price point (in my opinion). The true highlight of the evening (and perhaps what made it somewhat worth it) was getting to meet Culinary Director Andrew Sutton. He was very personable and friendly. Overall, I'm not sure I would come here again, especially not with their increase in price. It seems like I have better tasting options that are friendlier on the wallet.

Yelp
Located in the DISNEY GRAND CALIFORNIAN HOTEL. We weren't expecting on dining at such a fancy sit down place on our Disney day but what a wonderful experience it was! We were able to get a last minute reservation for 5:30pm. We weren't too hungry since we were snacking all day at the parks. The interior was rustic with lots of wood & flower details. The COMPLEMENTARY BREAD was even beautifully presented. It came with two different jams. I believe one was citrus & the other one was berry based. I do wish one of them was savory rather than both sweet. Still very tasty & memorable. For dinner we ordered - SMILING TIGER SALAD: very savory salad with spicy beef & shrimp fritters. It was a touch salty for my preference but still a very delicious side - HERB POTATO GNOCCHI: they were very gracious to portion this out for us to split. The cook on the gnocchi had such a good mouth feel. Creamy & lamb ragout was paired so well as the sauce - BERKSHIRE PORK CHOP: the star of the meal. Honestly the BEST pork chop I ever had. So tender & seasoned to perfection. I could have eaten the whole thing to myself but unfortunately we were sharing. IRVIN & DON WERE STUPENDOUS! Don was our main waiter. He was very sweet, knowledgeable in the menu, & very attentive. Irvin assisted in presenting our dishes. He was so charismatic & made our time very pleasant. If you're able to score a reservation I highly recommend giving this place a try & ask for Irvin or Don!

Yelp
*This review is for the Princess Breakfast* We were lucky to snag a reservation for the princess brunch a few days before Christmas! The $135pp price tag made me consider if it was worth it, but I can honestly say it was! You are paying for the experience more than anything. Once you're seated at your table you are started off with a tower of pastries while you wait for your drink orders to arrive. One round of mimosas are included in the price, but after that they're an additional charge. Main entree items are served buffet style, but pastries, side dishes, and desserts are brought to your table throughout the course of the meal. The opportunity to meet and interact with princesses is abundant. Our server kept us informed about upcoming princess appearances, allowing us to step away for photos. Princess rotations occurred approximately every 15 minutes, and we met 8 princesses, including Snow White, Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Raya, Aurora, Mulan, and Rapunzel. The food and drinks exceeded expectations for this elegant brunch. The service was impeccable, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. Even without children, it's a highly recommended and magical experience!

Yelp
So regal, fancy, and magical! The Disney Princess Breakfast at Napa Rose was such a treat. From friendly service to beautiful decor, this experience was so worth the happiness for my little girl who clearly exclaimed she "loved all the princesses!" The dining offering feels exclusive, comfortable, and posh. You receive service to the table, along with a select buffet menu, and a presentation of desserts to the table. Also, fries, which is a kid fave. And of course, Mimosas. Need I say more? Food quality is fair and fun to try! Mickey waffles were on point, and I enjoyed the many fruit options. The princesses were easy to access without long wait times. They were a delight and so on point with their characters. The ambiance around them feels so castle like and is beautiful! A gift presented our little so eloquently at the end of breakfast from our amazing server, Danny, was a sweet surprise. Reserve ahead of time, valet is covered by validation at the Grand Californian, and plan for about a 2hr experience, along with carrying your mimosa to the meet and greets!

Yelp
**This review is for the Princess breakfast adventures at Napa Rose!** I took my daughters to this and it was definitely a fairy-tale adventure! The experience was about 2 hours and the service was a 10/10. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated to our table. It was considered 3 course meal, starting with appetizers, 2nd course was everything at the buffet, and 3rd course was a bunch of princess themed desserts. They gave my daughters an autograph book, a princess bag, and a pin. The princess meet and greet was very intimate and they were all so nice and sweet. The waiter would pull us from our table and escort us to princesses. My daughters loved the time they spent with them, and felt like princesses themselves! We met about 7 princesses altogether: Rapunzel, Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, and Jasmine. You get what you paid for in this enchanting experience, and it was definitely worth every penny seeing the smile on my daughter's faces! You can book this experience 60 days in advance, so don't wait!

Yelp
Overall disappointing experience compared to the price point and past experiences. Some of our party has gone before and this was not their experience so hopefully this was an "off" day We ordered off of the pre-set 4 course Vintners table testing with the wine pairings. Off to a strong start with the bread and delicious apricot butter and cranberry chutney, followed by the first course (scallop and someone else had the tempura fish). Unfortunately we took a hard turn into long waits and missing dishes. We had over an hour wait in between finishing our first course and the second. Especially odd because we had our wine poured and then waited another 20 minutes before our waiter noticed we didn't have out next course and had to go find it. By the time the main courses came, those who had ordered white wine had room-temperature wine at that point. Dessert came with incorrect dishes coming and missing drinks. At the end, our meal was a full hour longer than it should be and not meeting the standards that the main "fine dining" location should come with. The room was quiet and well set. Hopefully whatever had gone wrong was a rare occurrence.

Yelp
This review really pains me to write. As an avid Disneyland fan, my second time to Napa Rose left me feeling angry rather than celebrated on my birthday. Let's start with ambiance. Napa Rose is outdated but still slightly charming. The main dining room is airy and beautiful, with tall ceilings, a large wine cellar, and an open kitchen. Unfortunately, the outdatedness I mentioned often borders on unfinished/broken. The small outdoor patio sports an unlit fireplace and musty looking empty tables, the once lush view from the grand window now looks like a barren swamp, and the bar area of the restaurant now appears to be used for overflow dining room seating rather than bar seating. Some of my observations here are further exasperated by myriad of awards that adorn the walls of the restaurant--90% of which predate the Obama administration. It feels like the awards ended when Napa Rose stopped trying, which appears to be about a decade ago. Moving on to the most disappointing part of the night, service. (To give context to this paragraph, Napa Rose is effectively split into two sections, the bar area to the left with a small patio, and the main dining room on the right.) We arrived promptly on time for our reservation and checked in digitally via the app. Despite being on time, we were told to wait for with our toddler at a table off to the side of the bar. After about 5 or so minutes, we were escorted just a few feet away to a table that appeared to be set up as a makeshift dining room overflow in a corner of the bar area. I looked around to see two other tables, one with about six couples, and one with a few toddlers. I assumed that we were seated in this rather undesirable corner because of our toddler--which in all honesty, I was okay with. Only later when I went to the bathroom did I see kids and toddlers strewn through the main dining room (which also had a bunch of empty seats) which left me wondering why we got seated where we did--especially for my birthday! Compounding my frustration of the evening was the embarrassing table service. Once we were seated, we had to ask three people for a coloring book (despite them offering it when were seated) for our toddler. Further, it took nearly 20 minutes to place our order, and I don't think we received our first drink until nearly 30 minutes after our reservation time. My wife and I ordered the pre fixe menu with wine pairings--at $240 per person. And this brings me to my paramount point of criticism: $240 per person is Michelin-star-restaurant pricing but Napa Rose's service wasn't even passable for Applebees, let alone Disneyland, let alone Michelin standards. After placing our orders, we didn't start eating until nearly 45 minutes after our reservation time, which is when I started to get nervous. The website said "allow two hours for the full experience," which was after my son's bedtime, but acceptable, but now I was beginning to doubt we would finish in that time. After our second course, we waited 30 minutes for our third course. Let me remind readers--we ordered a pre fixe meal, so they knew exactly what was coming next. During this 30 minute wait, we (no joke) got to watch the floor manager eat his dinner at the bar and joke around with our waiters. Also during the 30 minutes, my wife asked our secondary waiter where the bathroom was to which he responded "I can show you, but I'm going to clear the plates first," which he did, and then on the way to the bathroom he stopped to show her the Chef's table which "is available for a fee." At this point, about an hour and forty five minutes into our allegedly two hour meal, received our main course. All said, the entire night was an embarrassment, and cast a bit of a pall on my birthday. Moving to a few brighter items, food and drinks. The cocktails and wine pairings were really good, with one of my wife's cocktails being her favorite drink of the night. The food was awesome, with the duck being my wife and my favorite and the lamb I had being tremendous and not gamey at all. Even still, I was disappointed by the fact there was no included bread, no amuse bouche, and no small snacks to take home--all which are staples in menus of this price. Rounding the review out, I will touch on price. At $680 pit the door, I was left feeling a bit robbed. The restaurant does not take the annual pass discount (for no apparent reason) so I paid full rate and I mustered up the kindness to give an 18% tip since at least our main waiter was quite kind. All said, I wholeheartedly do not recommend Napa Rose. Despite really good food and drinks, the abysmal service, dated restaurant, and pricey menu make it hard to recommend. If this is the best they could do for a pass holder's birthday who ordered their most expensive menu, I would hate to see what service they would muster for others--maybe those are who they save the dusty patio for! Ambiance: 2/5 Service: 1.5/5 Drinks: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 1.5/5 Consistency: 2/5

Yelp
I have been here twice for Princess Breakfast and it is absolutely wonderful! It's pricey but you get amazing customer service and the food is good quality. The princess interactions are so amazing and totally worth the price! Each princess takes their time with each guest and you end up with wonderful photos! If we have a choice, we will only come here now, instead of Goofy's Kitchen.

Yelp
This is for the winter course, Prix Fixe menu. Amuse Bouche: not sure what the waiter said it was, but it was some kind of a custard base topped with some kind of yuzu crumble. The custard itself was very bland, as in no salt. The crumble was extremely salty (likely intentional) but it was overly salty. If you got more of the crumble than the custard, it wasn't balanced. I'm not a traditionalist but this amuse was definitely more than one bite. It was anywhere between 6-12 bites, albeit an extremely light dish, I don't see where this fit into the menu. It was poorly executed. Also not sure if it was a smart idea to serve a custard as a beginning dish to the rest of the meal. 0/5. Appetizer: I ordered the Charred Pacific Ahi Tuna Crudo. This was just okay. The tuna wasn't seasoned well or consistently, so some pieces were very flavorful while other parts/pieces were bland. It came with some toasted bread on the side and had some toppings on it. That was more delicious than the tuna. Lastly, the tuna itself wasn't good quality. I've had better tuna from most of the omakase sushi I've had. This was weirdly stringy and required me to kind of chew through all of it. 1/5. Second course: I ordered the Warm Winter Squash Custard. The flavor was outstanding. The crumble was a beautiful contrast to the custard. HOWEVER, there were two major flaws to this. The custard came out boiling! You do not boil custard! That is a huge no-no. That is poor technique and again, how this passed the cook and chef is beyond me. As a result, the custard was not as smooth as it should have been. It was a little chunky and almost gloopy. Additionally, the dish was too sweet to be part of a second course. The crumble didn't help it stick out as a second course either. 1/5. Entree: I ordered the Colorado Lamb Loin. When I asked the waiter what temperature they cooked the lamb he said "it's cooked at all different temperatures because it's wrapped in a lamb sausage." This is a waiter who was not very educated, but has rehearsed that line many times. Suffice to say, this review isn't about the service, but about the food. The lamb came out medium rare, and it also wasn't properly cooked all around. Some parts were cooked more than medium rare. This is just bad cooking technique. The lamb sausage that was wrapped around the loin tasted okay, but completely over powered the delicate flavor of the loin. Everything else was fine, but there wasn't enough of everything else for the protein portion size. For me, this is basic culinary knowledge, which everyone, including the chef, lacked. 1/5. Dessert: we each ordered the Warm Sticky Toffee Cake. It was also topped with a Crème Anglaise. I have to admit, I love desserts that aren't overly sweet. So my review may be slightly biased toward the toffee pudding. I enjoyed it, but it may not be for everyone. It also hadn't been soaked very long so it was also boarding on the dry side. It was paired with a pineapple and pear sorbet which I thought contrasted well with the cake. It helped balance the richness of the Toffee. The crème anglaise wasn't bad, it just lacked any body, richness, and flavor. All the things you would associate with a crème anglaise. Finally, the chopped pineapples on the bottom of the dish were not from the restaurant. If they were, I stand corrected. They looked like they were mechanically diced because of how uneven all of the pieces were. There was no precision. Although, considering the poor cooking technique throughout the meal, I wouldn't be surprised. My only suspicion was they were extremely translucent, which can happen through only a few cooking techniques, and lacked any real punch of fresh pineapple flavor. They were likely canned in some capacity or Dole makes it for them. Because of all of this, I gave this a 1/5. Overall, every dish failed. Not just in flavor, but in seasoning, preparation, cooking skills and techniques, and in the design of the menu. The menu did not flow at all. There was no perfect way for any of the dishes to actually complement each other if someone was trying to. They did not build on each other. This is basic culinary knowledge and for these cooks and chefs to be at this level of culinary arts, I'm very unimpressed. I might expect this level of cooking out of a second year culinary student, but at this caliber, this is unacceptable. I would not recommend coming here. If you are not used to eating at this "level" then you might enjoy it. But it's all a farce. This is not high dining and I would put it on the same level as Cathay Circle and Club 33. If you're looking for a decent meal, you can't go wrong with any of these places. But don't call this fine dining or anything else because it doesn't compare. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Yelp
Very disappointing. We've dined at Napa Rose around 10 times. This was our worste experience. We caught the end of the holiday price fix menu. It was pretty bad when the amuse bouche was the most interesting thing we had (with the exception of the fish of the day). Most of our table started with the tuna. It was lacking in flavor. Some had the spatzle and others had the pot pie. The broth for the pie was very good but the pieces of fowl were chewy and grisly. The spatzle also was bland in flavor. The fish of the day was amazing but the lamb was over powered by the peas in the sauce. The desserts were fine. Given the price and fallling far short of past experiences, going there for anything less than a 5 star meal is a waste. We are strongly considering never going again.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try Disney's Napa Rose! It's not very Disney themed, but it has the Disney quality with roses throughout the restaurant and even pink roses at your tables. Even if you're not a wine connoisseur, the food is a great experience. Firsts: Between the sautéed scallops and stuffed jalapeños, both were amazing so make sure to order both and share if you're going with someone. If you're going alone, there's no wrong choice as both weee delicious Seconds: Matsuke Mushroom or carpaccio. I personally preferred the mushroom soup because it's very flavorful and light despite its creamy texture. The carpaccio had less flavors to me and I think half of it was missing seasoning Entree: I personally preferred the venison as it was more tender and the sauce was incredible. I cleaned the plate. The roasted pheasant was good as well, but it didn't make a strong impression on me as the venison. Desserts: There's no wrong choices for these. If you're in for a fruity mood, apple cannoli it is. If you're in a chocolate mood, get that macadamia nougat bar. I was in a chocolate mood this time and it was happiness in every bite. Our waiter was Rodney and he was such a sweetheart. He was very excited telling us about the menu before we ordered so we got even more hyped. Jose also kept tabs on us to make sure he'd clean our table as quickly as needed to get us our next round of

Yelp
Since 2006, I have probably dined here 50 times, if not more. I looked forward to the seasonal changes in the menu and came here for birthdays, anniversaries, date nights or on that random night we just wanted a cocktail, exquisite dessert, or a quick bite at the bar before dropping in the the park for the evening. Heck, this is the first restaurant I came to on my honeymoon! To say we loved this place would be an understatement. But today I write this with a broken heart. As we prepared to dine here for a milestone birthday, we realized this place was no longer the place we once loved. Disney already destroyed the perfect Steakhouse experience when they gutted Steakhouse 55. Now they have destroyed Napa Rose. This new standard price fixe menu was fine for Valentines Day or Christmas. And I appreciated the option of getting the Vinters Menu when I was feeling fancy. But the new format is unapproachabe and outrageous. I've tolerated the changes here since Covid when they got rid of the charming bread service. I've tolerated the shrinking portions and increased prices. But $168 per person before drinks and tip is just silly. Are you trying to make this a Club 33 experience here? Pricing seems to reflect that, but Club 33 this is not! I'll tell you, its not the same. Not even close. I've been nickled and dimed to death by Disney and this is the last straw. Why did you have to ruin this place too?

Yelp
For so many years, Napa Rose has been our go-to favorite, and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Nestled within the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort, this gem never fails to impress. The service is consistently exceptional, a testament to their well-staffed team. Every cast member exudes knowledge and a level of attentiveness that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. We've found ourselves gravitating towards the bar, where the craft cocktails are of course supreme. Each sip is a delightful journey through flavor, hitting all the right notes. The vibes at Napa Rose strike a perfect balance between chill and upscale, creating an ambiance that sets it apart from the bustling theme parks. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic Disney fans right here. The conversations sparked in this space have been nothing short of magical. Whether you're a regular visitor or a first-timer, Napa Rose manages to capture the essence of what makes dining at the Disneyland Resort a truly enchanting experience. Here's to many more years of delightful memories at this culinary haven!

Yelp
This place is great!!! Super sweet hostess when we went. They didn't mind that we weren't dressed up this particular time of the year. We ordered at the bar so we were able to order individual items which was nice. We ordered an ahi crudo, the shrimp salad, goose pot pie, and filet mignon. Hazelnut chocolate dessert. Everything was delicious, besides the ahi appetizer. The spices that were used on it weren't to my liking, didn't make sense with yuzu and barely tasted the yuzu! I love yuzu. Needed salt or more acid. Bummer. Hate to say it bc everything else was so delicious The bartenders were amazing, kind and informative as well as attentive! I'm not even going to mark it down though for the app. Everything else made up for it! Not a lot of really good places to eat by Disneyland, so I'd highly recommend this place. I'll eat here every time I come.

Yelp
We've dined at Napa Rose several times, and it has usually been a highlight of our Disneyland trips. It's become a family tradition we eagerly look forward to. However, our recent visit on a Thursday left us incredibly disappointed and questioning whether this tradition will continue. We learned upon arrival that the restaurant had transitioned to a prix fixe menu at $168 per person. Though hesitant, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had--especially for the price. First Course: The first course was uninspiring. My husband had a salad, I tried the tuna tartar, and my daughter had the scallop. While all were fine, none were memorable or flavorful. It felt like a poor start to a premium meal. Second Course: I had the boar with spätzle, and it was inedible. The spätzle was mushy and burnt, and the boar lacked any seasoning or flavor. My husband and daughter ordered the lobster rarebit, which arrived at room temperature. While passable, it too was bland and underwhelming. The overall lack of seasoning and attention to detail in these dishes was shocking. Main Course: I ordered the lamb, which was lukewarm and mediocre at best. My daughter's fish was the best dish of the night but sadly overcooked. My husband's filet mignon, ordered medium rare, arrived super rare. At this price point, execution should be flawless, but instead, every plate felt like an afterthought. Dessert: This was the most frustrating part of the meal. My daughter and I ordered the hot cocoa, which was tasty but cold--an odd choice for a dessert meant to comfort. The accompanying Kringle was stale and unimpressive, far inferior to a store-bought version. My husband's sticky toffee pudding was burnt on the bottom. When we asked for it to be replaced, the new one arrived uncooked--essentially cold and hard. This blatant lack of effort from the kitchen felt like a slap in the face. When we brought our concerns to the server and manager, they apologized and offered a 20% discount, but it felt inadequate given the poor quality of the entire meal and the unprofessional handling of the dessert issue. We spoke to the hotel manager, who also apologized and called it an "off night." At a restaurant charging over $160 per person, "off nights" aren't acceptable. Guests are spending their hard-earned money and sacrificing valuable vacation time for what should be a premium experience. The most upsetting part of this visit wasn't just the bad food--it was the blatant disrespect from the kitchen. When a dish is sent back, it's standard practice to correct it, not make it worse. For a restaurant with Napa Rose's reputation and price point, this level of service and quality is unacceptable. Napa Rose didn't just serve a bad meal--they ruined a cherished family tradition. We won't be back.

Yelp
This review is for the Nap Rose Chef's Table experience.. This is our second time at the chef's table, the first was pre-COVID and this is our first post. First off, getting a reservation for the chef's table is quite impossible, so we would put our name on the wait list every month, and if there was a cancellation you might get in. Lo and behold the day after Thanksgiving a cancellation happened and we happily accepted. Second thing is this meal is going to take you two and a half to three hours and you will be stuffed! Last it's a pretty reasonably priced chef's table but it's not cheap so don't be a cheapo. The meal started with a glass of champagne and an amuse bush of warm cauliflower and sweet potato puree with caviar. Next we had a scallop and then a turkey stuffed pepper. Turkey stuffed pepper was one of the best things we had. Next came a mushroom soup with a shot of sake. Then we had a course of two different types of ravioli, agnolotti, delicious! The other star course was a triple brie cheese encroute with a honey lavender foam. Intermezzo was a peach sorbet with sparkling wine added to it. The best savory entree we had was a pheasant roulade, amazing! Main courses with a lamb chop and a bison filet, yummy! Lastly, we got two different desserts and the pastry chef was extremely nice and gave us a third dessert. Needless to say, after 3 hours we were stuffed and ready to go. The chefs were very nice and it's really cool to see the inner workings of a kitchen and how all the 15 chefs back there. Get everything done in coordination with the other and on time!

Yelp
Favorite restaurant at the parks. Always have great stunning service! And the food is on another level. I always wake up the next morning feeling refreshed after a meal here which is especially needed after a long exhausting park day! Will I try to always eat here on the next Disneyland trip? You bet. I had the Vintner's Table which was delicious. The Paella was stand out. The panda cotta was also just what I needed. I left refreshed and rejuvenated. Check the princess brunch.. if you have not tried it you should consider it. It is worth taking your little princesses to at least once in a lifetime.

Yelp
Great food. Wonderful ambience and a lovely place to celebrate my birthday. The staff was attentive. And gave me a free dessert in addition to the one we ordered. We over ate and drank too much. If you are in Disneyland do stop at the Napa Rose. Reservations maybe hard to get. So book in advance.

Yelp
***This is a review of the Disney Princess Breakfast*** Upon entering the restaurant, Jasmine stood by the front door, next to the guitar player taking photos. Rapunzel came around each table to chat about anything random. Raya, Pocahontas, Belle, Tiana, Ariel and Mulan rotated in and out of the patio. There was at least one princess available at all times to entertain you and unlike inside the parks, there is no line. By comparison, we waited over 1.5 hours to get 4 minutes with Elsa and Anna in DCA. My daughter went back to Ariel over and over again to talk about each other's animal sidekicks. Belle tried teaching my kids French. Mulan practiced martial arts poses with them. Tiana talked to them about cooking. This meal took almost 4 hours because we were having too much fun. As for the food, presentation was top tier but taste and selection were lacking. We started our meal with an appetizer tower, from which I especially enjoyed the crab puff pastries. Main courses were all-you-can-eat buffet style. I liked the fried chicken and Mickey waffles. Braised beef ribs, root veggies and truffle mac n cheese were outstanding. Unlike the character dining at Storytellers' or Goofy's Kitchen, there was no fish, no salad, no carving station. The meal concluded with a desert tower. The dingle-hopper cake pops looked beautiful but were overly sweet. If you can't finish your dessert tower, don't worry. Your server will pack it up for you. Each of my kids got a princess necklace on the way out. Our meal included 5 hours of parking. Getting a reservation for this meal experience is quite difficult because, despite the price, they sell out quickly. And about that price...the damage to your bank account will probably give you a stroke. To say that this dining experience is expensive would be a gross understatement. But if you are a Disney fanatic and your kids love Disney Princesses, this is a one-in-a-lifetime MUST TRY experience because the ladies portraying these princesses are incredible and deserve that hefty admission price.

Yelp
Can this place get any better? I don't think so. This is top-notch Michelin star cuisine. The food will blow your mind away. I feel like the king of England when I come here from the service to the food. This is a must go to restaurant. Every penny you spend here is worth it

Yelp
Poor quality food made us sick. We ended up having to cut our Disney Vacation short. The good: The staff is very friendly, no complaints about service. The bad: Limited dinner menu, there are no sides and as out waiter told me "this is not a steak house". I expected a 73.00 New York steak to be absolute perfection being they didn't have anything else to focus on besides a piece of meat on the plate. If you want bread it's 18.00 The Ugly: We ordered a Steak Dinner and a Chicken Lavender plate, we shared a piece between us so we're not actually sure which part of food made us both sick. The steak was tough to cut through, lacked seasoning and sear. I thought I was using a butter knife at first. Probably one of the worst steaks I have ever been served. We didn't make a big fuss, we planned to head over to Disney and do some rides and buy Beignet that the wife was really looking forward to. Fast forward about an hour or so after and we are both sick as &*() at the park. We haven't done any rides or eaten anything else. All we had done was dinner at Napa Rose and walked to park. We ended up having to leave Disneyland, didn't buy our dessert or enjoy or last 5 hours of vacation. I gave feedback to front desk (kind of embarrassed to do this, they made me wait for a manager who they couldn't locate, the manager did call back and said they would investigate since nobody else complained about being sick, they left another message next day with a number for DLR claims office) I don't know what Disneyland will do but we will never step foot back in Napa Rose.

Amazing dining experience!! Hubby and I dined here late July for his cousin's birthday and were astounded by how incredible Napa Rose is. PARKING: They will validate for your parking for up to 5 hours if you park at the Grand Californian Hotel. We recommend to just valet, since self-parking is across the street. RESERVATION: Recommended! Hubby's cousin made reservations for 4 about 3 weeks prior. It seems like they do accept walk-ins, but you'll have a better chance sitting at the bar than getting your own table in the restaurant. AMBIANCE: Classic with a Disney touch. It's definitely upscaled and you are encouraged to dress up, but we honestly a lot of people in their theme park outfits such as jeans and a t-shirt. The entire restaurant is very spacious with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking Grizzly River Run. MENU: They have a pre-fixe menu and an a la carte menu as well as an extensive drink menu. The pre-fixe menu is $125 a person without wine pairing, and the a la cart items start at $48. They have a wide selection of wines, cocktails, and other beverages you might be interested in as well. FOOD + DRINKS: Hubby and I shared the pre-fixe menu and added an extra a la carte sustainable fish of the day as well. We were so happy we made that decision because we were able to enjoy and try out most of their offerings. Here was what we got: Yellowtail Carpaccio (4.5/5): This starter was delicious. It was very refreshing. The yellowtail was very fresh and paired well with the creamy avocado. The sauce it sat in had a nice citrus kick to it. Strawberry-Lime Dusted Salmon (4/5): The salmon was cooked to perfection. It was tender to the fork. The strawberry-lime dust was very unique but something I was not quite used to. I felt the strawberry added an unusual sweetness to the overall savor of the salmon. The corn velvet it had sat in tasted like a corn chowder, which I really enjoyed. Sustainable Fish of the Day (5/5): Ours was branzino, which was delicious! The spanish sauce that came with the fish added so much flavor. The fish was cooked very well and I personally enjoyed this dish even more than the salmon! The fish skin was so crispy!! Pan Seared Beef Filet Mignon (5/5): This was our FAVORITE. We are NOT filet people, since it's a cut that's usually too chewy for us. However, Napa Rose changed our minds forever. The first cut was so tender, it sliced through the piece. Upon tasting it, it melted in our mouths. We could not get enough of the filet! DO NOT miss out on this dish!!! Valrhona Manjari Chocolate Cremeux (5/5): Very exceptional dessert. It nice and chocolatey. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end our meal. Cocktails (5/5): Hubby go The Napa Rose, and I got The Bitter Storm. Both drinks were very delicious and also pretty strong. Definitely worth the extra splurge! Overall experience here was amazing. We are so grateful to get the chance to finally dine and celebrate hubby's cousin's birthday here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They even gave us some toffee barks on our way out. The meal here is not cheap, but it's honestly worth every penny for the quality and experience!

Yelp
I had the opportunity to have dinner at Napa Rose for Valentines Day. The ambience of the place was nice. It had a classic feel. Service was spectacular. The bone marrow was delicious and my most favorite dish of the evening. The fish which happened to be a John Dory was cooked with a thin crispy layer that I really appreciated. I would recommend trying the place out. I think the prices are fair for the quality of food and service they provide.

Yelp
You know how theme park pricing is wild on its own, and you expect this restaurant to be kind of lame and expensive for no reason other than it's at the Disneyland resort? Well...this is really not the case here. Napa Rose really offers you an upscale experience with some of the best food I have ever tasted. First of all, Michael is the best server. We have had him now a few times, and he is knowledgeable, witty, timely, and terrific! He really makes the experience a bit more unique. The food is just...WOW. Like, you don't really expect what they are creating. This time around, we got some appetizers: Steak Bites - adorable little steak bites with pineapple salsa and avocado, a really great, refreshing bite. Scallop - WOW This was a perfectly cooked scallop with nectarine coulis (a first for me!) that just hit on every flavor point. Our entrees: Duck breast - WOWWY WOW WOW A perfectly cooked duck, criiiispy skin, with the right amount of cherry sauce. The mushrooms were a great accompaniment. Lamb gnocchi - Rich but not too much, a really great small dish The cocktails are also really next level - the bitter storm is the perfect cocktail if you love an old fashioned, be warned, it's kind of "one and done". A wonderful experience, I really do recommend coming here.
