"At Naru, you are encouraged to slurp up your ramen in six to seven minutes and tilt the bowl up to get all the broth, just like a Japanese local would." - ByArundhati Ail

Naru noodle bar is worth much more than the hype it has right now. It took me 4 tries, mind you, 4 tries to get a booking and let me tell you it was all worth it. The selection of food they have is phenomenal, and the taste is exquisite. I loved every last bite of it. I would definitely recommend it to all and would definitelygo back when I'll get the booking again.

Given its popularity, securing a table can be tricky, with reservations filling up quickly. While some might say that the portion sizes are slightly smaller than expected, the quality and authenticity of the dishes make up for it. Naru delivers a dining experience that is well worth it.

Securing a reservation here is a big deal as you all know. With a good try I scored it at second attempt and finally visited this Japanese place. A small place with just 20 seats serves some good Japanese cuisines. Tried their chicken gyoza which was decent, crab taco which was quoted expensive for a single taco around 500+ rs and had nati tori paitan chicken and Tokyo style shoyo chicken for ramen bowl which was yum. Their broth were quite tasty and ramen was prepared in house. If u are looking for desserts then I say not a good try here tried their boba matcha Icecream and Japanese cheese cake which was very average. They serve kombucha, sake, Japanese tea, sozu drinks too. They also have vegan options. Overall I felt this was a place to go back only for their ramen.

Naru is one of the most overhyped restaurants in Bangalore, and after finally managing to get a reservation (booked on a strict Monday at 8 PM just to get a Saturday afternoon slot), we walked in with high expectations. What we got was an utterly disappointing and forgettable experience. We ordered the Tokyo Style Shoyu Ramen (Pork - Regular), Chicken Karaage (Wasabi Honey), Avocado Temaki, and two Kombuchas (Not Bacon & Peach). The ramen, which should have been the highlight, was bland and uninspiring. The broth lacked any depth of flavor, the noodles were far too firm, and the pork was poorly cooked—chewy and unappetizing. It was nowhere near the level of a proper ramen experience, especially considering the hype. The karaage was average at best, lacking the crispiness and punch you’d expect from a good fried chicken dish. The avocado temaki was even worse—a tiny taco-shaped sushi that felt like a sad excuse for innovation. It was flavorless, dry, and honestly, a waste of money. Then came the drinks, which were absolutely terrible. The Not Bacon Kombucha tasted like straight-up bacon grease in liquid form (and not in a good way), while the Peach Kombucha was sour, off-putting, and completely unenjoyable. None of these drinks complemented the food in any way, making us regret ordering them. To top it all off, the service was cold and impersonal. Even though we were seated at the counter, there was zero engagement from the staff. Worse still, they had the audacity to ask me to move seats just because a solo diner wanted to sit at the kitchen counter. Having made a prior booking, this request was ridiculous, and I refused. Overall, Naru is nothing more than a glorified social media hype trap. The food is mediocre, the drinks are downright awful, the service is uninspired, and the entire experience is not worth the hassle. Bangalore has far better ramen and Asian cuisine options that actually deliver on flavor and quality. Save your time, money, and expectations—this place is NOT worth it. Avoid.

Amazing food, it was lip smacking! Every tiny bit of food was worth it, we ordered chicken karage, avacado fried taco, Edamame truffle butter, chicken gyoza, kara miso ramen and tori maitan ramen! It was more than amazing and then to top it off the dessert we choose was double chocolate cake! Please make reservations in advance on a monday evening to get a slot for any other day of the week to enjoy the japanese delicacies and really cool and warm service! They were just really helpful to make us understand the nuances of the dishes before we select them. It was an excellent experience overall.

Firstly, quite a bit of an experience to get a booking as per the hype of the place. Managed to get the earliest 18:30 slot for dinner on a Tuesday. There’s also a booking deposit of 1250 per head for the table and 1000 per head for the bar counter style seating which is redeemable on the final bill, but is sort of a minimum order, which shouldn’t be hard to reach given the prices. The place itself is well done up and can seat about 20 folks. The staff is really friendly and courteous with good recommendations. The food itself - ramens were the standout. We tried the tonkatsu, mushroom and green chilli Katsu tofu ramen, all had unique flavours and were excellent. The tofu Katsu ramen small came only with 2 small pieces so it might be a good idea to add on Katsu tofu (came with 4 small pieces). Starters were decent as well. We had the Halloumi, chilli crab, fried avocado - which were similar in terms of the sauce and toppings but the protein varies. We also had veg gyoza, chicken karage and king karage which were alright. Another positive was that the food was served piping hot. Overall, good experience, but the difficulty in getting a reservation paired with the prices makes it a once in while visit for me.

Naru Noodle Bar in Bangalore feels overhyped to me. I spent ₹8.2k on dinner, and honestly, the food was just average—not worth the price. Two out of the four ramen bowls were served just warm, which was disappointing. Additionally, the wait time between appetizers and the main course was about 25 minutes, which felt too long. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.

Had an amazing experience of culinary dishes and ramen. It might be difficult to get the reservation but you need to be on time to get the reservation. Be on time at this place and find your table or spot. Service staff is helpful to make you understand the dishes and ingredients, also they can suggest the food based on your appetite. I have enjoyed cola kombucha and peach one. Take your time to enjoy the ramen 🍜 (best one I had ever) Fried chicken, Unagi, and Cheese cake are best of the town. All you need is patience to enjoy this food. Parking might be difficult, so be early. Clean Washrooms are available.
