The 28 Best Restaurants in Prague, Czech Republic | Eater

"Naše Maso is a great example of how the combination restaurant-butcher should be done. Owned by Ambiente Group (Lokál, Eska), this luxe butcher shop sells cuts of meats, house-made condiments, and other items you might expect of a gourmet grocer, but it’s best known for its Czech-style tartare, medium-rare burgers, sandwiches, and sausages. Preparations can vary, but Czech-style tartare includes paprika and diced white onion, and skips the cornichon. It is also often served in parts, allowing diners to mix everything together at the table (unless otherwise requested)." - Dan Clapson

Shin-Ei Taku

Google
This restaurant is actually a well-known butcher shop in Prague that also serves food. You can either dine in or take out. Since it’s such a popular spot, there was already a long line when I arrived. But the food was prepared super quickly, and there were some seats nearby for take-out customers to use. As expected from a butcher shop, the burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful! I also asked to use the restroom, and to my surprise, the bathroom keychain was made of a cow bone! Cute😄. There’s a retail shop in the back that sells a variety of meat products. The staff was really friendly and explained the features of each product to me. I ended up buying some ham and pulled beef, The packaging was also beautifully designed, perfect for gifts. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Google
We tried the cheeseburger and the Prague ham sandwich. Both meals felt very fresh, with high-quality meat, but we especially enjoyed the sandwich. The portions were generous and filling. Prices are reasonable considering the quality, and the wait time was fine despite the crowd. Ordering via the screens makes the process smooth and efficient. Would definitely recommend!

Google
The food here is great, it's definitely worth a visit. We dined on the meatloaf, had a burger and also a pastrami sandwich. All were excellent. For the portion sizes it's very expensive - even for Prague - and prices definitely seem to have increased over the past few years as the place has made a name for itself... Would recommend but make sure to be mentally prepared for the prices.

Google
easy and quick to order from the machine. service was fast. few atmospheric seats inside. pastrami bread was really tasty and made me thirsty for beer

Google
Hands down the best burger place in Prague - if you like burgers cooked rare. 📍Place: It's very popular, so expect some line and as the place is small, you might be better off doing a takeaway. Order can be done at the counter and on a kiosk as well. 🍛 Food: the dry aged cheeseburger costs 365 CZK which is pretty expensive and not so big, but it tastes impaccent. The meat is really good quality, the brioche is fluffy, the cornichon enhances the flavours. We also tried the Tatar for 305 CZK, it also tasted amazing with some garlic toast. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: they are professionals, speak English well, also very polite and helpful

Google
Great Butchery shop, with a la carte menu. Super pastrami & ham sandwiches, good hotdogs. Nice retail shop. Friendly and helpful staff, self-service counter. A few seats inside, stand-up tables outside. Good meat products and other stuff in the retail shop.

11 years ago when I was in Prague for the first time the tour guide took us to a little shop that served hamburgers. He said they were the best hamburgers. After I tasted it I said that it is the best hamburger I have ever eaten. Since then I have been talking about this hamburger. Today for my birthday I came back to eat the best hamburger in the world. For me it is still no.1. Congratulations . The first 2 pictures are from 11 years ago.

Google
I can tell it’s one of the favourite place to have meat for local people. There were automated ordering machines and you can also queue for counter order. I would suggest you to order a drink as the meat is a bit salty. It usually comes with bread and sauce like mustard? You can ask for other sauce either. There were limited seats inside the shop and some of the customers stood outside to have their meals. I think it’s a very delightful and memorable dining experience in Prague.

Yelp
Great. One of the best sausages, pastrami sandwiches, and burgers. The tartare was good too. Order on the kiosk. Wash your hands inside and put cutlery away there after.

Yelp
Bummer I didn't try this place sooner and waited til my last evening. The pastrami sandwich is big and juicy. The sauerkraut adds a nice acidity. Small butcher like shop with a couple of high tops. These are some of the best looking butchers. Handsome and friendly.

Yelp
Came back 7 years later and had a better experience. We came here at around 11am on a Thursday and there was barely any wait. And there is now kiosk outside where you can place an order yourself. It's still limited seating and there were people eating outside in the alley, so we decided to get our food to go and eat it in our hotel rather than sitting outside in the cold. We decided to skip the sausages and just stick to burgers and sandwiches. I ordered the dry-aged cheeseburger and my boyfriend got the pastrami sandwich. The cheeseburger was just as good as I remembered! It's cooked perfectly, and I love the fact that it's only available medium rare. The pastrami was also good, though not the best I've ever had.

Yelp
I like a simple style grab and eat delicious comfort food type of place, Naše Maso is just that. Small space to eat inside or just buy and keep it push style. Friendly staff and very accommodating of our English. Made fresh and just as described I enjoyed these burgers so much, juicy, fresh, tasty and tender. The American in me wanted French fries with ketchup but I must say I respect the culture and their menu. Definitely a great place to grab a bite.

Yelp
Very busy with tons of locals - that's how you know it's exceptional. Their sandwiches are out of control with so much flavor! We also had a triple sausage plate that was so amazing, I couldn't begin to pick a favorite! You can order electronically, just outside of the store, or go inside and the turnover is quick. Loved every bite and every interaction with staff. Tip: They do have a restroom down the hall, requiring a key that's attached to a big animal bone.

Yelp
It was the end of a long travel day for us, but Nase Maso was conveniently located and we got a pretty darn good burger and pastrami sandwich to take back to our apartment. As you can see from the photos, this is a butcher shop where they cure in house. The seating there is minimal and it seems most people take it to go. I'm sure I would up my star level to 5 if I tried many of their offerings, but based on what I ate, 4 stars for me. Dry aged Cheeseburger - this is served medium rare as it should be. Had a nice course grind to the beef. I think it suffered a little bit steaming in the wrapper while getting it back to our apartment, as the bottom bun got very soggy. The dry aged beef had a nice flavor, but was overshadowed a bit by the mustard and pickles. I would get the mustard on the side next time. Never really picked up the favor of the cheese either. 4 stars Pastrami Sandwich - I kind of like my pastrami on the fatty side and this was definitely lean with kraut and mustard. It had a pretty Smokey taste to it, but I've had better. The sandwich was a little on the dry side. 3.5 stars. Like I said there are so many meats to try here, I'm sure I would fall in love with Nase Maso if I ever spent some time living in Prague.

Yelp
This is hands down the greatest burger I've ever eaten, I believe they told me it was dry aged wagyu. It was so juicy and full of flavor. The meat isn't undercooked !

Yelp
I dream of coming back to Prague soon so I can go straight here for a piece of mouthwatering steak!! This butchery is extremely awesome. It's such a cool concept that I can order at the counter, pick out my meat and they're able to cook it for me there. The customer service is great! Food is shockingly yummy! Food order - T-Bone steak: Prepared medium rare with a side of mustard, pickled onions & cucumber. This has to be one of the best steak I've ever had my entire life. The meat has a really nice buttery fragrance after taste. The texture just melts right into my mouth. - Beef Broth: Super hearty for a cold day. Again, really nice fragrance after every sip. We got this to go and it was perfect for the walk around town. - Pickled Cucumber: I love their cucumber so much that I bought 4 jars to bring back to America. Sweet, sour, & crunchy, nicely balanced. Will definitely come back here multiple time and every time I visit Prague.

Yelp
4.5 Very friendly butcher. Only 3-4 small tables of 2 inside. They'll walk you through the menu. Got the vibe that this is a place heavily visited by tourists....but also locals. I think you have to get a sausage. Beef/pork was great. The burger looks awesome in the pics, and it was pretty good...but nothing to go out of your way for. Pastrami sandwich I felt was dry and would skip. Tartare also worth ordering. Its really meat on meat on meat. No vegetables or really any sides. Fill up your own beer at the tap on the wall. If no room inside they have a small counter that runs along the outside window for you to stand and eat.
google avatar

Martin M.

Yelp
Great amazing burgers and meat here. The burger is the staple and is a juicy pink in the middle and you'll see a lot of tourist opt-in to get the burger. Staff is super friendly and helpful and kind. Their English is very good and they help explain the food items. There is also an outside ordering menu if you prefer to sit outside on the counter. We got the bone marrow and it took twenty minutes to prepare and we also got the steak tartare. Both were some of the best we ever had.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Nice butcher shop with dine in options. You may choose your cut and they will cook it for you, or they have a set menu. I usually don't order a burger traveling overseas, but this one was all about beef perfection (about $10. US). I also ordered some bacon and sausages for takeaway. Next time tartare.

Yelp
Small but nice eatery. My husband had sausage and meatloaf and enjoyed it. Didn't take too long to receive his order despite it being packed. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
This place is totally legit. Get what everyone recommends, get the burger. It's awesome. Awesome. I haven't had a burger that great in some time. It's hand size too so you won't be bloated after eating it. And it only gets served one way, medium rare and you really taste the greatness in its medium rare. Burger was so good I went back inside and got a slice of meatloaf and some other cured meats to go. When they were cutting the meatloaf they said they could cut the center but I told them I like the end piece. She told me I was the first person to ever request the end piece! Haha! Everyone is missing out! Cured meats were solid after I brought them home. Seriously, if you only eat at one place, this is it. And this will absolutely be a regular visit for me every time I come to Prague.

Yelp
Stopped here first thing on our first visit to prague. This butcher shop has all the meats and great burgers and sandwiches. During our first visit we got the Prague ham sandwich and the dry aged burger. Both were really great packed with meat and flavor. I would totally get the dry aged burger again and can't wait to try other sandwiches on my next visit they also have beer on tap which is sept serve which is cool. The cashier also spoke English. There's not many seats around, but it's pretty much a eat and go spot. There is a standing table outside the butcher shop as well as as like three or four high tops that can seat 2-3 people inside. Highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
Super cool spot in central Prague. Right across from sisters bistro. This is a butcher shop, small store, and restaurant. All crammed into a tiny space. But because the staff is working hard and efficiently it works. Clean modern interior where you can view all the hard work going on behind the scenes. The meat selection looks great and I wish I could have tried more on the menu, but the meatloaf sandwich and cold beer on tap were divine! Must try! And if you are staying longer get meat and provisions here!
google avatar

Hansel B.

Yelp
This is a butcher shop right in old town, they sell all sorts of meats and sausages. They also happen to serve some of the best burgers with super high quality meats! Based on the crowds, I think they do more burgers than anything else. They have a limited menu of sandwiches (all meat, no veggies here!) and once they run out, they cross them off the menu. Be sure to get here early before the peak lunch/dinner crowds. The first time I had one I was a little skeptical because I usually dont like too much pink on my meat, this looked almost medium-rare. You do get to taste the meat and it's very flavorful. On another visit I asked for medium and still tasted great, but I prefer this texture... probably a personal preference thing, but for me this made a huge difference. The place is tiny with only 2 little tables and a standing counter outside. They are doing something right because the place was full of locals and tourist all day long!
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
With this place, you have to catch it at the right time otherwise it's packed with people, which is no surprise because it is so good! After we ordered, we were given a few cold cut samples, all of which tasted amazing. My boyfriend is visiting from America and was blown away. The sandwich and beef tartare were so fresh and packed with flavor. I've been wanting to come here for so long and didn't disappoint! Will be back soon!

Yelp
Stopped in here on a stop on a food tour and got a charcuterie board. I hate pickles so I didn't eat those, but my husband loved them. I enjoyed the bread and most of the meats provided. I must say I did not enjoy the "tourist sausage". To me is was inedible, but my husband loved it. I would probably get some of their cured meats again, but not all of them. As it relates to the shop, it was on the smaller side but there was a standing counter outside and a table (if you were lucky enough to grab it) outside as well.

Yelp
Hands-down the BEST butcher shop and one of the best quick eats restaurants I've ever experienced. Nase Maso offers a plethora of fresh meat, sausages, bones, and fresh bread. I sampled their bacon and sausage, and they were heavenly. Dry-aged burger - Easily the best burger I've ever had in my life, which is saying a lot because I once had a burger craze that led me to try a burger place at least once a week for a few months. The burger to bun ratio was perfect (about 1:1). Unlike gourmet/artisanal burgers, the dry-aged burger was very simple with a few pickles and a garlicky aioli, wedged between two slices of baguette. Steak tartare - The order came with a round patty of steak tartare and toasted slices of sourdough. Be sure to spread the raw garlic on the bread! The meat itself was ground very finely and seasoned with bits of onion and parsley. My parents were apprehensive of trying raw meat, but they loved the tartare and also had no digestive issues during the day. There are a few tall tables and seats at the window front for tourists to eat, but you also see tons of locals ordering raw meat.

Yelp
"Disneyland for grownups," we were told as we got to Naše maso. Fresh meats of all cuts and shapes. Steaks, chops, rib roasts, soup bones and so much more. Today, we were treated to their meatloaf and some steak tartare. Both were awesome. Czech people eat lots of tartare and this was good. Interesting flavor and so far, I've survived the encounter. The meatloaf is rich and tasty with a nice garlic/onion taste. Yummy. The place fills up quickly with people getting their meats to cook at home, so patience is warranted. Yelp
Anyone who needs proof that communism is a failed government policy need only come to Naše Maso for proof. The post-communist business model here provides paleo fans with what they want, not what the government wants them to have. Judging by the crowd that packs this place during all business hours, I think it is successful by any typical business metric. All they do here is meat. Specifically red meat meaning beef and pork in my book (and do not try and tell me the marketing BS about pork being the "other white meat" because nobody including the pig buys into that BS). This place is a bona fide butcher shop with some great products in the cold case for purchase and many uncarved steaks sitting in dry aging jail awaiting purchase. The innovative part of this is that there is also a small kitchen that will cook up these products to order for immediate consumption on site and in watching the crowd here, that is probably 75% of the business. And it is busy. There is a supply and demand model in effect here. When they run out of the day's product, they stop selling it. For sure this causes a run on the dry aged cheeseburgers daily. Get there early or get nothing in true capitalist fashion since once they are gone, they cross them off the list with a large black magic marker that somehow makes you feel like you are a big loser when they do it right in front of you. Trust me, I'm the loser so had to settle for the standard cheeseburger. Damn, I hate being part of the Bourgeoisie. The way it works here is try to get through the door into the small inner sanctum that houses room for about 8 people to sit and eat. Try to find the end of the line that is snaking up towards the meat case and place your order. Be ready to order and do not ask for a bunch of special things. They do meat. If you start asking for things on the side, vegetarian options, or whether or not something is vegan or Halal, I'm pretty sure the staff will come over the counter and knife you where you stand. Once you order, they will give you a number and get your fat butt out of there and wait outside until your number is called. There are several standing counters outside in the breezeway you can eat at, there is a communal picnic table further through the breezeway in the atrium area, and there is always a curb to sit out on the street. The issue of drinks was kind of novel. I ordered a beer and they gave me a large paper cup. I initially had no clue what that was for and so some sympathetic local pointed me in the direction of the beer tap coming out of the wall deep in the seating area. It was like a drinking fountain for adults. Go over there and get yourself a draft beer. Really kind of cool. I did not see anyone doing the refill thing so I also think that might get you knifed by the staff if you try. The food is simple and outstanding. Heat + Meat = basic instinct nutrition in my opinion. The cheeseburger was perfectly cooked on the rare side of medium (if you are into well-done burgers, they may sneer at you here) as they always do in Europe with shaved red onion and some type of Euro cheese that had a nice bite to it on a soft Kaiser roll. Would definitely eat that again but next time I'm going earlier to try the aged one before they run out. Also had a Fat Boy grilled weiner with a nice char and some brown, slightly grainy mustard. Very satisfying and there were several other varieties of weenies on the menu so need to get around again to try some others. I ate at the standup counter in the breezeway facing the window into the butcher shop. My entertainment was one of the young lady butchers sharpening her knife and then trimming down some steaks. It was kind of amazing while eating my meat and drinking my self-tapped beer in a very food porn type of way. I can't say enough good things for the simple but delicious food flying out of this place, the successful business model they are using, and the simplicity of their fare. Clearly they are delivering to people exactly what they want and nothing more. A definite keeper on my list of good eats around Prague.

Yelp
Hands down, this was my favorite place in Prague and their dry aged burger might be my #1 burger of all time. Nase Maso is primarily a butcher shop, with a small kitchen and a smattering of tables. They dry age their own meats and the quality is out of this world. You can even select different cuts of meat from the case and they'll cook it for you. Their claim to fame is their burger. While it looks simple, it has explosive flavor. The meat is cooked a perfect medium-rare with a nice char on the outside. It's then nestled into a soft bun with a slice of cheese, pickle and a bit of aioli. Basically, a perfect burger where the meat is the star. If you aren't convinced to check this place out, just know that one of my co-workers broke 6 months of vegetarianism to eat the burger and thought it was so good, he went back for seconds.

Yelp
Great place and I generally stop here more than I should on my way home to get a burger to go or pick up something to make. Great quality and very friendly team.

DC L.

Yelp
Have only tried the burger, Thick high quality beef cooked pretty rare. I'd ask for medium-rare next time.
google avatar

Lucas W.

Yelp
Albeit primarily a butcher, they'll cook the meat for you as well should you ask. My wife got a burger and I got dry aged burger. Both were excellent, the dry aged beef definitely added to the burger and tasted better. Little meatier, smokier almost, very good. Both burgers were small but very filling and cooked to perfection. The one thing I'll say though is that they loaded the burger up with onions which was unnecessary. Taking the onions off allowed the burger taste to be the primary focus. Would definitely go back and go back hungry so as to try some other meats

Soyoung K.

Yelp
Reasonable price and excellent taste! It was little bit sad for small table but staffs are very kind and they cooked well!!! The stake was amaging! I tried the t bone inf NY, but you are the winner! ! !
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Phenomenal. Cheeseburgers come out medium rare by dafault, and you know the meat is fresh: you can watch them do the butchering behind the grill. We also got a pastrami sandwich my wife said was better than NYC. She might be right. Friendly counter service in English. Very little seating; this is a place you get your food and find a spot at a standing counter or take it to go. Also serve-yourself beer and free water! We would definitely come back.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Awesome butcher meat sandwich shop with amazing staff and more importantly amazing food. We went twice, the first time to try their meatloaf sandwich which was excellent and the second time we got a pastrami sandwich and a cheeseburger. The pastrami sandwich was excellent but the cheeseburger was out of this world delicious. I love this place!
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Wow is all I can say! I am from US so we eat a lot of hamburgers and all I can say is this is the best one I have ever eaten. The meat is so fresh and everything is soooo good. We got the cheeseburger and meatloaf sandwich and they were both incredible. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!!!

Yelp
Omg this was the first good meal I had in Prague. Tell me why I struggled so hard to find something so tasty. Steak tartare is served throughout Prague, so I searched reviews for one of the best and stumbled upon this place. The food: The tartare was one of the tastiest I've had. So well seasoned, texture was perfect, and you can tell it's fresh. They serve it with a couple garlic cloves an toast. I love how the garlic adds a bit of heat to the meal. How it works: It's a little butcher's shop with a hot and cold menu as well. There's minimal seating inside, enough for 8 people, so be prepared to take it to go or to eat it standing. This place gets lots of traffic and it can be confusing what's going on. Some people are ordering cuts of meat with the butcher, but if you're ordering a meal, head straight to the cashier. You'll order and pay and they'll ice you a number. When your food's ready, they'll scream out your number and come deliver it to you.

Kay C.

Yelp
Came here after being recommended by my food tour guide. Uses local ingredients. This place offers a lot of different kinds of butcher shop meat products - sausages, steak, other forms of meat. Can buy raw meat and cook yourself at home or they can cook for you in store and serve you on the spot. Alternatively, food can be cooked and delivered to wine bar (Bokova) next building at your request so you can enjoy steak and wine!

Yelp
Dry-aged cheeseburger (265 CZK) - it was okay .. Nothing special really. Very juicy. There was no line when we stopped by early in the morning. We didn't order anything then though. We came back around 2 PM for lunch. It was packed. Go inside and order. You don't have to wait inside. You'll get a ticket with a number. Wait outside and they will come out and call your order number. You can take it to go or try to get a spot on the bar outside.

Yelp
Naše Maso. What a GEM to find in Prague! A butchery that also serves the most delicious food! Since it is a butchery, it's not that spacious - only a few high tables available. I was lucky enough to find an open seat but i'm sure you wouldn't need to wait too long either way. BEEF TARTAR & DRY AGED BURGER These two dishes are highly recommended, a MUST! I've honestly never had a better beef tartar in my life. Make sure to rub the garlic on your bread! Really adds to the flavor without being overly garlic-y. As for the burger, anything dry aged will obviously be delicious but Nase Maso does it perfectly - no need for extra sauces or anything, the beef works its magic on its own. It's also incredibly juicy so oil will get all over your hands but fear not, there's a little hand wash area next to the beer tap!

Yelp
Naše maso is a butcher shop that doubles as a restaurant serving quite a few meat dishes. They're most famous for their dry-aged burgers- which are absolutely HEAVENLY. FOOD: -Dry-aged hamburger (4.5/5): This was easily one of the best burgers I've had in my life. Many burger joints tend to overdo it when making burgers (I'm talking about ridiculously greasy burgers at some American spots), but naše maso keeps it simple and delicious. The meat is cooked at perfect medium-rare, and is extremely juicy, flavorful, and soft. The aioli-like sauce with pickles compliments the burger perfectly. Ugh- I want this again BADLY. INTERIOR: -This is not really a sit-down establishment. The restaurant/shop itself is small and there are mostly counters where you can stand at and enjoy your meal. SERVICE: -The workers here are very nice and will take the time to guide you on what to get (they'll recommend the dry-aged burger.. DUH!) -Ordering process: order at the front counter / get your receipt and number / they'll deliver your food when your number is called

Yelp
This is probably the second best burger I've had in my life. Hands down. I wasn't really expecting much when I saw this on yelp and meandered my way over but I was blown away. I got a dry-aged cheeseburger with extra bacon. The meat itself was super tender, perfectly rare-medium rare (they don't ask how you want it cooked, so that's a bit of a heads up). The cheese was a strong, delicious cheddar. And it was brought together by a thin roll and a delicious, light, homemade pickle. It's not an American style greasy burger, but for a great burger that doesn't make you feel like you need to eat some kale, this is a perfect option. I took mine to go and had it with a kofola and it paired PERFECTLY The restaurant itself is a butcher shop with all sorts of other cured meats, fresh meats, and a good selection of fresh baguettes as well. The interior space is fairly small, but they have benches set up outside too. The people inside are very friendly and will work with you to figure out what you want (if you don't get a burger, and you should get a burger). Heavy recommend, worth a trip out of your way.

Yelp
You would think that it would be very silly to come all the way to Prague to eat some hamburgers and ribeye but boy am I glad that I did! Our hotel reservation was very close to Nase Maso so we thought we would give it a try. Based on yelp reviews, started off with beef tartare, "meat loaf", and spicy sausages. The beef tartare was the best that I have ever had in my life. I love beef tartare and I have tried it many many different high end places but none of them compare to this one. The "meatloaf" was absolutely delicious as well! The reason why I keep putting the "meatloaf" in quotations is because it's not the typical meatloaf that you think of but nonetheless, very delicious! I wasn't a big fan of the spicy sausages but I'm just not a big fan of sausages in general. However, I really do enjoy trying new things so I thought I would give it a try. I probably would not get it again but I can see why and how people do you like it. Then we went back a second time to try the ribeye and a cheeseburger. This review is getting a lot longer than I expected so I'm going to keep it brief and short but the cheeseburger and the ribeye where are you do you some of the best that I have ever had in my life! Especially for $25 USD!!! The best part of our experience was not only the food and the service but also the price!!! I really hope that I get to come back to Prague again one day and I really do hope that I get to dine here again!

Yelp
Excellent food, terrible dining experience. This is a popular butcher shop that also has a food menu, crowded with locals and tourists alike. We came here at around 1:30pm on a Monday afternoon and jostled our way to the counter. BE AWARE that there are TWO ill-defined lines at the small counter - the one closer to the door is for orders of raw meat and the one on the far side is for food. One woman made the mistake of lining up in the raw meat line, then elbowed her way in front of me to get to the prepared foods line because she made a mistake. Did not apologize. It was basically a free for all hunger games style atmosphere in there. We ended up getting a regular cheeseburger and a "house special" to share, which was beef belly. The latter was a mistake, as I had requested the "3 sausages", only for my non-existent Czech to be misinterpreted as the house special. We then elbowed our way to the front of the store, where small tables and chairs were located. We pounced on a couple getting up after finishing their meal and managed to snag a table. Our number was called and we waved our hands to flag down the server, who fought her way to where we were sitting to deliver the food (I really appreciated her bravery). The food itself was quite good and the meat tasted extremely fresh and well made. The beef belly was melt in your mouth soft, accompanied by a few pieces of sourdough bread. I then made eye contact with a couple who had been hovering over our shoulders, signaling our departure. This allowed them to defend their territory from the encroaching group of teenagers sitting next to us who were greedily eyeing our table in an attempt to expand their small singular table to a more luxurious two table experience. Alas, I am all about fairness, and I am glad the couple got our table. Overall, if you are willing to basically fight for your food, this is an excellent place for burgers. Or come at an off time. If you plan on coming in at lunch for lunch, prepare yourself for battle.

Yelp
Best butchery out there. Meatload and a burger may not be the first things you'd think about eating when going to a butcher, but it should be when you go here. Next should be the pastrami sandwich. Fun, small little place that is always busy, friendly staff that will make recommendations for you, and don't expect to sit when you eat but that's all apart of the atmosphere. Oh and you pour your own beer.

Yelp
This is a very famous butcher shop. I got the dry aged cheeseburger and my group split the beef tartare. Burger was deliciously tender and very filling. Tartare was good as well but a little too rare. If we had more time in Prague, would have come back for an exceptional charcuterie board!

Yelp
This place was delicious! It's tiny and crowded, but totally worth the wait for the amazing food! The meat quality was amazing! We got the wagyu hamburger, steak tartare, and spicy beef sausage. The burger was amazing! Probably could have eaten 2 of those. The steak tartare was amazing (Tip- Rub some garlic on the toasted bread then put a huge amount of tartare on top)! The spicy beef sausage with their mustard was amazing (the mustard was amazing!). Seriously a delicious meal.

Yelp
Butcher shop and bistro, you'll likely be standing up eating when you come here, but in a short time Naše Maso has gained quite a reputation in Prague. There are always people here, and understandably so, as they offer some of the highest quality meat that you can get in all of Prague. I came here first for the burger, and my first impression was that I didn't think I'd ever tasted a restaurant burger that was seasoned better than that. It was phenomenal. Small (I could definitely eat 2), but phenomenal. What impressed me was the fact that the meat of the burger could stand on its own. If it had no sauce, no veggies, even no bun, it would still be that damn good. Czech Republic is known for sausages, so don't miss out on that as well. Again, another showing of the attention and effort they put into the flavor and cooking of the meat. Not expensive and the best of quality.

Yelp
Nase Maso is a small butcher shop restaurant that barely seats a dozen people. The meats are prepared fresh daily and cooked to order. We ordered the burger and spicy sausage. The burger was cooked medium and was an amazing blend of prime ground meat with a good bit of grittiness that gives it amazing flavor and texture. The burger was the best thing that I ate when I was in Prague. The spicy sausage was also very flavorful and had a nice bite to it. Everything that we ordered and ate here was next level and I highly recommend this eatery to anyone. I really wish I could go back to re-live that burger eating experience.

Yelp
Oh my burger! If you only get to choose one lunch spot while in Prague, it has to be Nase Maso! The veal burger is unreal. The way it's cooked, the flavor, the onion topping. My wife and I loved it so much we went back again the next day. Also, while you are there take advantage of the incredibly cheap beer! Other great food options include the spicy pork sausage and pulled pork sandwich.

Yelp
Go here! Don't worry about the line or the wait. We tried the wagyu burger which was delicious. Meat was cooked to medium with a pink center and tons of juice. No fuss toppings and the perfect toasted delicious bun. I wanted to try the beef tartare but didn't because I am pregnant but I almost went back for it anyways because it looked and smelled so good. Word of warning...not much seating but there is a bar top outside the restaurant to eat or take it to go and enjoy elsewhere. Also, if you order any of the meats cooked to order those take some time as well. Beer on tap available.

Yelp
This butcher shop rules!! The food here is just incredible! One of the best burgers I've ever had! So juicy, so tender, so flavorful! The beef tartare was really good as well. We tried the homemade sausages and everyone was fighting over it! I'd like to get another bite of that burger. Lots of different meats to eat here. A carnivores dream! Recommendation: Burger, beef tartare, and house made sausages.

Yelp
I found out about Naše Maso from a blog, and I was not disappointed that I stopped by. The choices at Naše Maso are not many and are simple, but they are delicious and offered at a reasonable price. Despite going there around 6pm on a weekend, I was able to snag one of their few tables. I had their daily special (pictured) which was a sandwich on a darker bread with caraway, thinly-sliced meat, and a slaw with what tasted like apple and mint. Although my sandwich filled me up, one of the workers recommended that I try the cheeseburger as it was his favorite, and it sucked that I was so stuffed and couldn't! Given that tourists might be inclined to go to Lokál just down the street (which is also very good) and forgo a visit Naše Maso, I would recommend to check this place out. Going at an off-time might be a good idea if you want to get a table.

Yelp
Naše maso is a local butchery and mini restaurant. They sell cuts of meats by weight and they also sell sandwiches and meat dishes. Service was extremely friendly, speaking in English and helping me decide what a "real Czech" meal would be. Prices seem decent, they take card. There is some room to eat inside the restaurant, but it's small. Ordered: Pork belly + onions over rye bread - tender well balanced pork belly with a earthy sauce. Great texture and taste Beef shoulder? with pickled cabbage and sour cream - tender juice beef with a au jus sauce, pickles to pallet cleans. Tasty dish

Yelp
Yes, 5 stars. Pretty generous, right? So, I'm so hungry and I had to go soon to go back to the airport. I remember I had passed this place earlier on, so went back. And yes - it's a butcher but they also serve up food. I went in and the lady at service was very friendly and helpful. Asked her for recommendations, I said I had been eyeing the dry-aged beef burger with cheese, and she said that would be good, they had a special pork belly, and their meatloaf is popular and she pointed out at the display of meat, that I could also pick from there! But, the burger was calling to me. I also ordered a beer, they just have one kind. BUT, you get a paper cup and you've got to tap it yourself = YAAAASSSSSS! Anyway, you get a ticket and then they bring it to you when it's ready. THIS WAS A BLOODY GOOD BURGER. Fresh, juicy, tasty and perfect! However, a warning that it is small, however I realised I should've just been greedy and ordered another one, it's that freggin good! Anyway, do yourself a favour and go here and order everything. I dare say it could even convert a vegetarian....

Yelp
This butcher shop/restaurant was at the top of my list of musts when visiting Prague. I specifically came to get the bone marrow, which I happily made as my lunch for the day. The shop is rather small, with only a few seats available. I read that it got fairly busy so I went on an "off time" at around 2pm. This was a good choice as I was able to nab a corner table to enjoy my meal. I was ecstatic that they had the bone marrow available that day, as I don't think it's a regular offering. The wait was about 10-15 min to get my food, which wasn't bad as I had the chance to peruse their meat selections. When I did receive the freshly broiled marrow, I was surprised at how much they provide! I was thinking maybe 1-2 bones, but they gave me 4 healthy servings. I went to town on these, sopping them up with the bread it comes with and washed it down with some wine. The marrow was perfect - buttery, rich, and indulgent. I had never had that much marrow to myself and boy was I happy. To top it off, the price is more than reasonable... actually, it's a steal compared to US standards. That meal would have cost me triple in the US, which made the experience that more delightful.

Yelp
Prague was my 2nd stop of my vacation and I think this was the best hamburger ever. Staff was friendly and spoke English. They also have dry-aged wagyu burger for 345 CZK, which is about $21 CAD. I'd really like to try that next time! Slightly pricey but everything is fresh and made in front of you. Go for it!
