Nashville Public Library Southeast Branch

I love this place. It's a nice atmosphere save the people working there are kind and helpful. I love the set up everything is easy to find just a hassle free, stress free place to get books, movies, use the computer & print things I need... it's thriving with activity and that's nice for the community plus a great central location. I used to drive all the way to the Hermitage location because I was used to it but happy that I finally make the switch.

Everytime I go there I am met with a warm smile and a great book... easy to check out, if you need help, staff are knowledgeable and willing to help..... I have no complaints

Love it! Southeast is an Awesome Library! There is a Great selection of books and it's open daily. The library allows you to reserve books online and pick them up. They also have play away audio books, ebooks, laptops and computers to use with free wifi and study rooms. The one and only thing I would change is the fact that only non-profit organizations can reserve the conference rooms. Other than that, it's a perfect 10! There's also a community center next door with a gym, recreation rooms and a workout facility with exercise bikes, weights and treadmills.

The Nashville Public Library in general has A LOT to offer and most of it happens to be here at the Southeast Branch. Not only have I checked out books and movies, but I have attended the free yoga classes and submitted my passport application here. If you're a Davidson County resident and don't have your library card, you're missing out. There's also free online resources you get access to such as movies, music, and even musical instrument lessons (you can even check the instrument out thru the Library of Things).

This branch of the Nashville Tennessee library is inside the old hickory hollow mall. They have done a fabulous job re-purposing the space. There are all kinds of modern technologies Including automated search and check out. The library is reconfigurable in that many of its bookcases are on casters and the library has a children’s section and a teens section. The teen section has a very large graphic novel and manga collection. The staff at this branch were very friendly.

Wednesday is walk-in day for Passports. They open at 10:00am, and only took the first 25 people. At 10:30am, they said they weren't taking anybody else the entire day, dismissing about 80% of the people in line.

Great library, new highlight of our Antioch community. Thankful. Highly recommend!

Searching for a good place to sit down and get some work done, I looked up the nearest library and was so glad to find this one! The entrance is really beautiful and has a path to walk around outside, including a park that would be awesome for you if you have kiddos. The library as a whole, both inside and outside, was super clean and nice. There are many computers to use for free as well as places to sit by the window with charging ports for any electronic devices you may need to charge. There were two study rooms that looks really nice, although they were both full when I visited. It would be awesome if they could add another study room or quiet area in the future! The kind woman at the front desk was super helpful with any questions I had and added a very friendly touch to my experience. I will definitely be back to get more work done or check out a book or two in the future!

I usually bring my teen and my 3 y/o here , they always get a great time. People that works here are always very helpful, I do really like this library

I'm so impressed with this library. We were looking for the seed exchange & saw this library was participating. We looked up the location for this library and saw it was near the mall. I had no idea that they built this library here. I knew of the ice rink from the local news, but I had no idea this resource was here for the community. The library is located at the north of Global Mall, or Hickory Hollow Mall if ya nasty. I'm glad they were able to remodel this into a library & fitness center. I wish that they'd do more to the mall like this. I've recently been in the mall & it needs to be repurposed as something else, but that's besides the point. This library has all the modern conveniences. You're able to use computers there, or even check out an iPad or laptop. I'm not sure how all that works, but it's great for people to use. You can self check out your books at computers by the door. They've a kid area for them to play & learn. Audiobooks, a conference room, the seem to have it all. It looks like they've a large amount of books, I'm not really sure what other library to compare it to because I honestly don't go to the libraries in Nashville much. The iBook store on my iPad has ruined me. We were able to find some seeds to take home from the seed exchange program, some kind of peppers. I hope they grow fast & are delicious. The guy that helped check us out was a little curt, but I think a lot of librarians have that strictness to them. This place is really an asset to the community.

Shiny and pretty in the old Hickory Hollow mall, but it didn't deliver for me. There aren't enough computers. Fully half the patrons were there to use a computer. This part of town has a lot of people who don't own a computer or, like me, have a hamster-powered computer and sometimes need a newer one. I got a computer, but after an hour I had to close down everything and wait 15 minutes for the next computer. I took off a star because the handicap parking is an absurdly long distance from the front door. This is a challenge for a friend of mine who has trouble walking far. If you use a walker, forget about it - this building is not accessible to you.

Facility was bright and clean, but there was minimal selection of current books. Luckily, you can order them in from other libraries to pick up here.

Really well equipped gym that works out at $1 per visit for a student which is crazy cheap! The yoga class is great and is only $3. I haven't used their upstairs track but I have a friend who does regularly.

Oct 18,2018. Went to early vote at 7:15 am. But it was the wrong place now. I voted early here before. The receptionist guy (big black male of 50+ of age) was very rude. He set at the desk where you sign up if you want to walk or do any exercises. I got his name from the guards outside. They said his name was "Charles". He was shouting at me... "Your are at the wrong place. Don't comeback here"

Man, look! I love this dang library. From checking out a laptop to the lego center for the kids...this library rocks my socks off! The book selection is not as large as I would like but there are several meeting rooms that are open to the public. The park outside is great for the kids and the track is great to run on while the kids play.
