Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service – Chee Meng Nasi Ayam, Jalan Klang Lama
Dear Management,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding an unpleasant experience at Chee Meng Nasi Ayam, Jalan Klang Lama branch, today at approximately 12:00 PM.
After making payment for 8 packs of Nasi Ayam amounting to RM108, I waited for my order to be packed. While waiting, I intended to sit briefly as there were empty seats available. However, one of your staff members approached me and instructed me to stand outside, despite the seating area not being full.
I complied and waited outside patiently. Later, I returned to the counter and requested for the staff member’s name for clarification purposes. Unfortunately, he refused to provide his name and instead asked the cashier (named Q) to inform me that this was “company procedure.”
I would like to clarify that I fully understand and respect house rules, especially during peak hours. However, at that time, the restaurant was not crowded, and there was no clear reason for denying a paying customer a seat while waiting for takeaway food.
The staff member’s refusal to identify himself and his lack of empathy were highly disappointing and unprofessional. This incident caused unnecessary frustration and reflects poorly on your customer service standards.
I sincerely hope the management will look into this matter seriously and consider providing proper customer service training to the staff involved. I will also be lodging this complaint with KPDN for further attention.
