The Best Peruvian Restaurants In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"As with the rest of the group of popular Peruvian restaurants in Hollywood—Mario's, Inti, and Los Balcones—Natalie's is a relaxed sit-down spot where you can pop in for a plate of ceviche for lunch or dinner, made here with dark-yellow-almost-orange leche de tigre with a bit of ají chili that makes our nose tickle after each bite. But the real star of Natalie’s menu is their arroz chaufa, the Peruvian take on Chinese fried rice. We always go with the Especial a la Natalie, a surf-and-turf situation with grilled shrimp, squid, octopus, mussels, beef, and chicken, all folded into eggy rice seasoned with a healthy splash of soy sauce. There's also a second location in Glendale." - sylvio martins, brant cox

12 Best Peruvian Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"It’s hard to beat a low-key dinner at Natalie Peruvian before a show at Pantages or the Palladium. Everything on the menu is solid at this family-owned spot, including the crispy calamari and fried plantains starters, as well as the Peruvian-style fried rice." - Cathy Chaplin

The ceviche de pescado and leche de tigre were amazing!! Great vibes with Peru-themed art and soccer game on the tv. Service was super pleasant and fast too. Can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!

My friend, an LA resident, recommended this place to me! We arrived at the city quite late so we showed up at the restaurant around 8:45 PM, 15 mins before they closed. I felt super guilty, but the owner still gladly welcomed us! For parking, there is free parking basement for customers right around the corner. We are a family of 4 and ordered 3 dishes: fried calamari, bisteck a lo pobre (steak), and picanto mariscos a la natalie (seafood). This was totally enough to make us full and satisfied! The fried calamari was super crunchy, and the tangy side salad balanced out the fattiness. The steak had the right tenderness and paired well with fries and plantain. The seafood dish tasted fresh, was mildly spicy, and came with rice. These 3 dishes really gave you different flavors and seemed to complement each other. For drinks, the passionfruit juice was a little on the sweet side, and perfect for me! The owner was super nice and friendly with us ☺️☺️ Food was served quickly, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and the atmosphere was chill. We had a great experience here; please come support this cute little place!!!!

Google
It has become my mission to discover amazing Lomo Saltado plates in the LA area.. this place did not disappoint. Meat was tender, fries had a wonderful crisp- think, hand-cut homemade french fries.. flavor in the sauce: delish. I would definitely come back again when I’m in the Glendale area.

Google
The taste was passable but the value of the food was really not there. The ceviche mixto was $22.99 and there were layers of potatoes hidden underneath to give the illusion of there being a bigger portion. The seafood was most definitely frozen and thawed, and they gave the tiniest shrimps I’ve seen in a while. I would say seafood probably comprised at most 15% of the dish. I’ve had ceviche many times in Peru and understand that it does come with various types of potatoes, so it’s more the intentional plating and hiding that I have a problem with. And the disproportionate price. For a humble establishment with one waitress and sticky tables, this restaurant is not a recommend for me.

Great seafood selections. Good flavors. Friendly and nice staff. Lots of regulars eat here.

Google
When I say this is the best ceviche in town… I really think so. Plátanos were perfectly prepared as well.

The food here is very delicious. The bread and yuca frita was tasty. The saltado carne y pollo dish was great. The beef meat is just perfect. The macaruya drink is sweet and tasty. It is great place to come eat dinner. I really appreciate the service here. Great dinner and great service.

Google
I have not have the chance to try Peruvian food in the past, and boy have I been missing out! The flavors are so intense and deep, nothing bland at this place whatsoever. I ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce and my mind has been officially blown. Everything is just so flavorful, truly impressed and highly recommended.

Yelp
Cozy little spot with outstanding Peruvian cuisine. The variety and scope of the menu is outstanding with many options including ceviches, fried rice, shrimp, chicken, beef, etc. The flavor of the dishes is outstanding and the attention to detail is noticeable in the preparation. Service was friendly and fast. Brought back great memories of our time in Lima.

Yelp
Ambiance - casual & comfortable Service - amazingly friendly and attentive Food- we had the Jalea which is a platter with fried seafood items. It had 2 shrimps and the rest were pieces of white fish & calamari, yucca and marinated red onions. While it was delicious and really enough for 2 people to eat, I found the pieces of fish to be on the small size as well as the calamari, nothing like the image posted on their site. It was NOT greasy at all, or overly breaded. I have had this dish at other places and they serve it much differently but I do understand that NOT everyone might make it exactly the same. Over all my mother loved it and that is really what counts. We will definitely go back again!

Yelp
Came back today and it's remained very consistent! We tried the ceviche today and it was very fresh and delicious. Our server seemed to have been there for a bit as I've seen her before and she's always polite. I also like that this place is fairly easy to get in most times. There's plenty of parking in the back.

Yelp
If you love Peruvian food, then you'll love Natalie! If you've never tried Peruvian food, then you should go to Natalie! I love this little restaurant. Their food, their service, it's the reason I keep coming back for more! I've dined here with friends and family and each of them have enjoyed the food and experience too. I've tried several items on their menu, including the lomo saltado, seafood saltado, and ceviche which are all my top faves! Everything is seasoned perfectly and each bite is super yummy! Best part is there's free parking underneath the restaurant which is a plus for this area. Can't wait to come back for more yummy food!

Yelp
Haven't had Peruvian food in a long time but I was satisfied with my experience. Our least favorite dish was the 'chaufa con vegetales'. It was just alright. My dish 'Lomo Montado Especial' was enough for for the next day. Service was alright. Metered parking in front of the restaurant when I was here on a Tuesday evening. A bit annoying that the menus don't have any pricing and when I asked, they gave me a QR code with prices, but when I got my receipt, the prices did not match what was listed on the website. We didn't make a fuss, but maybe they can get their online menus updated if they read this. Overall, good food. That's it.

Yelp
Such a gem of a find in Glendale. I love a good lomo saltado, having been to multiple other Peruvian restaurants in the area I keep finding myself back to Natalie's for the food. It's a small family owned restaurant, nothing fancy but the decor reminds me of South America. Service is fast and attentive. Lomo Saltado 10/5 - my absolute favorite Peruvian dish. I've tried this at so many Peruvian places in LA and I have to say Natalie's lomo saltado has my heart. There's good beef portion and the sauce is absolutely amazing. I can probably eat this every day. Calamari 5/5 - not only is the calamari so good, flavorful with good texture but that onion slaw is the perfect addition. It almost tastes like sauerkraut and it's the perfect match with the calamari. Combined with the sauce is it's the perfect bite and such a solid appetizer for any main dish. Cant wait to come back and try other menu items but definitely do not skip the restaurant when you're in Glendale.

Yelp
So happy to have found Natalie Peruvian Seafood Restaurant! Hubby & I were around the Glendale Galleria/Americana area and when our dinner plans fell through we decided to try Natalie's and so glad we did! Small cozy family restaurant feel. We got a few things to share: They serve complimentary bread with butter + their house green sauce (aji verde), which was good! -Ceviche Mixto, loved how they sliced the octopus here. I'm usually not a fan of the huge legs, so was happy they were sliced thin. Flavor was good, medium has a bit of a kick. But all the seafood (fish, shrimp, calamari, and octopus) tasted fresh! -Chupe de Camarones, this is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes and Natalie's was so satisfying since I haven't had it in a while. Fresh shrimp with the creamy broth, yum! -Lomo Montado Especial, is just like a Lomo Saltado, but with two eggs over easy. Hubby loved adding the eggs as we haven't seen that before. Adds a dimension to the flavors of a normal lomo saltado with the runny yoke. One unisex bathroom in the back. I'm not so sure about the parking situation since we parked over at the Galleria and walked over (about 1 block up). Service was fair (they got busy during the dinner rush). Will be back again! =)

Yelp
Craving Peruvian and this place had high reviews. The place is a bit small and rundown. The girl servicing the whole restaurant was very very nice but the place needed one more waitress for support because the service was slow. The food was not as great as in the comments from others who visited. It was decent but I've had better unfortunately.

Yelp
Natalie's is hands down our favorite Peruvian spot in Glendale. We've tried a few others in the area, but this one always comes out on top. The lomo saltado and pescado con mariscos a la Natalie are our go-tos -- so flavorful and always cooked perfectly. Whenever we're in Glendale and craving something comforting and satisfying, Natalie's is always on the list. Super solid every time.

Yelp
First time trying Peruvian cuisine and it is actually amazing. This place is a hidden gem in Glendale. I tried the tallarín verde con carne and it was fantastic. The calamari for appetizers was also delicious . Yansi, the waitress is a very sweet girl. The ambiance is so nice with all the pictures from Peru on the wall. Will definitely come back

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Probably the best Peruvian food in LA. We got the Loco Saldo, ceviche pescado and the house special pescado con Marisco a la Natalie. The food came out really quickly, service was great. It was a really nice ambiance, family owned business. They also have the best horchata in SoCal, super rich and flavorful.

Yelp
Natalie's Peruvian - A True Gem! I've been coming to Natalie's Peruvian for almost 10 years now, and it's hands down the best. I first discovered them back in 2015 at their Hollywood location on Sunset, since I worked nearby at the time. When they opened this location in Glendale -- I knew I had to check it out, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Over the years, I've tried many other Peruvian spots that came close, but none compare to Natalie's. Their fish ceviche is my absolute favorite -- it's incredibly fresh, flavorful, and honestly, nothing else I've tried even comes close. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Their lomo saltado, tallarines verdes are all amazing too -- flavorful, tender, and delicious. The restaurant itself is welcoming and clean, with excellent customer service. They've even added those cool serving robots, which are a fun touch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and there's plenty of parking -- either in the lot downstairs or usually available on the street. Whether you're coming with friends, family, or for a date night, Natalie's Peruvian is always a hit. Everyone I've brought here has loved it. I highly recommend this place -- it truly deserves five stars!

Yelp
Came by and my wife and I both got the fish. I had it fried and she had it grilled. It came with an onion salad that was better than I thought it would be. Fish was good but nothing memorable. Our favorite thing was the Yucca Fries. They gave us a house made green sauce and that was amazing. We ended up ordering a second order of the fries they were so good. Restaurant is on a busy street with meter parking. Restaurant is small and cute inside. They have an electronic robot that brings you your food and it was a dumb gimmick and a waste of money. Doesn't fit with the theme of a Peruvian restaurant at all. Might come back to try something other than the fish.

Yelp
Great food -- lomo, arroz de mariscos, and seco de res. Excellent service... Cristina was phenomenal. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions. Will definitely be back. ¡gracias Cristina!

Yelp
We love trying our favorite Lomo Saltado Peruvian dish from different local Peruvian restaurants and this was our first time here. Parking was easy and free in their lot. Restaurant seating was spacious and accommodating with tv entertainment on the walls. We got take out and it was yummy. Our orders came exactly as requested. Portion size was generous and delicious. Service was friendly and quick and extra points for the surprise bread and extra green sauce too! We will be back.

Yelp
I've been missing out. I've driven past this place and never tried until today. I got their lomo montado which was delicious and had two perfectly cooked soft runny eggs while my dear old dad took down a Siete Mares sopa that was delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, even gave my father a shell cracker for his crab legs in the soup. Everything here is fantastic! Im coming back to try their flan.

Yelp
First time visiting Natalie's Peruvian restaurant and we had an EXCELLENT experience!!!! All the items we ordered were delicious and well seasoned. The Aji was PERFECT; correct consistency and the right amount of spice. The service was exceptional; very attentive and pleasant staff. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. If you love authentic Peruvian food like they make it in Peru, I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Yelp
My family & I have been coming to Natalie's for a few years now, so often that even the amazing staff knows our order by memory. We come here to celebrate any and all occasions, birthdays, anniversary etc.. today is Valentine's Day and all I can say is WOW. We were seated as soon as we arrived, ordered immediately, got our food quickly, everything was perfect, not only that but LIVE MUSIC? amazing! Thank you Natalie's for making this day so special. 1000/10 per usual .. will always come back here it feels like home

Lourdes S.

Yelp
Food is amazing so flavorful and authentic Peruvian cuisine. Excellent service the waiter keeps coming back to check how I'm doing and if I need anything else. The restaurant has few tables and cozy atmosphere. I would come back and bring friends to enjoy and try their food. I ordered the aguadito chicken soup and seafood mix to so delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok I'm so sad this place didn't live up to the hype! It has great reviews on Yelp, but it was so underwhelming. My friends and I ordered the yucca fries to start. Unfortunately the fires were not seasoned at all, completely lacked flavor. And the special cheese dip tasted more like mustard. As someone who lived in South America and had yucca everyday., this was a let down. 5/10 I had the lomo saltado and I will say it was really good! The meat was tasty, and it tasted great with the green sauce added on. 8.5/10 One friend had the mixed ceviche, and she said it was good and finished her whole plate. My other friend had a chicken soup and she really didn't like it. She didn't even eat half of her soup. The disappointment was the pisco sours. I had talked the drink up to my friends, but then when we tried the version at this restaurant, I had to tell them that it tasted nothing like a real pisco sour. My friend's tasted just like water. There was barely any flavor. 6/10 The service was also interesting. The young woman helping us was very nice, but they have a robot that brings the food to your table. The robot got stuck trying to go back to the kitchen, and kept repeating the same thing over and over again while it was stuck.

Yelp
Parking in back which we appreciate. Long hallway with decor. They said they offer Ceviche de Camarones at different spicy levels. I asked for mild. It had kick still fyi. Wasn't that great. Plus it's Missing sweet potato. Yuka was decent. Sauce lacked flavor. Lomo was decent. Had jugó and flavor which sadly many lack so it's got that going for them. Chica was excellent. Was first time my friend was having Peruvian, was good, certainly better than other restaurants outside LA/orange county area. Presentation was nice. If shrimp was fresher and ceviche had sweet potatoes, it'd been great. Shrimp was tough and over cooked. We'd still come back and try the other stuff on the menu. There's a lot to choose from.

Sara G.

Yelp
Cozy, cute, family spot with homemade meals. Great prices, and attentive service. My favorite was the calamari ceviche & Natalie's fish. Perfect homemade meals
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
Every time we order from here it is always perfect! Each dish i have ordered has been great! The whole fish, lomo soltado, shrimp in lobster sauce alll chef's kiss.

Paulina M.

Yelp
loved this place! The lomo saltado was incredibly tasty with perfectly tender meat, and the fish ceviche was so fresh and flavorful. The juice was delicious too. Our waitress was so sweet and welcoming--such a great experience overall. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Delicious food drinks and great environment!! Not to Mention the amazing service. We love coming here.

Yelp
Having a mother/daughter day and decided to try a new restaurant. Parking is a little tricky, we were lucky to find street parking, small place but nice & clean, TV paying soccer game, food was delicious and well portioned, service was friendly, our waiter made good recommendations, will definitely come back with the whole family!
google avatar

Angel B.

Yelp
Amazing food and service, the ceviche and logo saltado was sooo good! Im mad at myself that it took me so long to even try this place. Def regret not coming here sooner. Will be coming here again if I'm in the area
google avatar

Manuk D.

Yelp
Besides the price being on the expensive side and them making the portions a bit smaller, the food is delicious and I can't stop eating it.
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
Amazing food! It's been a good while since we had this place! Continues to be better than ever!

Jenae R.

Yelp
Came with friends for a birthday party. The location was empty, but it was raining and they were getting a lot of online orders. The food is great! My first time having Peruvian. I got the fried rice and it was really good. I tried some of my friend's lomo saltado and the flavor was great! The service was good, the food came out quickly, and they gave our friend free flan even though we had brought a cake. It was a great time!
google avatar

Alexia B.

Yelp
If your looking for authentic quality Peruvian food then look no further. Ordered from here several times. I haven't dined in so I can't comment on service. When I pick up my food they're always pleasant and prompt. I get the seco De Res and flan those are my go to dishes! I'll update my review if I try any others.
google avatar

Mallory L.

Yelp
We arrived early on a Friday night and were seated right away. The owner(?) was singing karaoke, which we didn't mind because he had a nice voice. Many of the customers came over to greet and hug him. Looks like a family business with locals frequenting it. I ordered the saltado de camarones which wasn't the best I've had, but pretty decent. As we were leaving, the vibe of the place definitely got rowdier with customers starting to sing. It's a fun joint. Would recommend if you're in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
We go to Nathalie almost every weekend, the food is delicious and the service is excellent !Yansi and her helper robotina are the best!! Daniel & Charo.

Yelp
This place deserves 25 stars Best Peruvian in the world . So glad we decided to give this a try . Their saltado plates comes out very fresh and portions are huge Love this place
google avatar

Diana L.

Yelp
If you want authentic Peruvian food...look no further! The food here is spectacular and as you are in Peru. My partner who is from Peru loved this place and reminded him of home. The chicha morada, a drink made with the purple corn is delicious and refreshing. Tastes exactly like the one I had in Lima. The maracuya (passion fruit)is delicious. We ordered the chicharrón de calamar which was an abundance and filling. I ordered the lomo saltado which is steak with fries, white rice, tomatoes and red onions. This was sooo good especially with the sauce that it is sautéed in. My partner ordered the chaufa (fried rice with seafood). The seafood was not stingy and the rice was full of flavor. The service was a bit slow, but attentive. Ample room to sit.
google avatar

Rodolfo D.

Yelp
This is an excellent family type of restaurant that makes you feel at home. What ever you want you soup with makes it special. I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
*based on delivery* love LOVE the saltado de pollo: flavorful and huge portions. Also ordered the pescado sudado which was our favorite. Would highly recommend one of the best Peruvian spots! Cannot speak on the ambiance or service but the to-go package was thoughtfully prepared with a side of bread, butter and sauces. Would highly recommend, 10/10
google avatar

Rom A.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Glendale. It's a short walk from the Americana and Glendale Galleria. Our go-tos are the Lomo Saltado, Saltado de Mariscos, and Picante de Mariscos a la Natalie. We recently celebrated a family birthday here, and shoutout to the extra attention and service they provided!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Such a delicious meal! We have fried yuca (casava) as an appetizer and saltado de mariscos. Delicious! Relaxed ambiance and very prompt service snd giant portions!
google avatar

Bobby N.

Yelp
Pretty authentic Peruvian place. The decor and seating is simple, but cozy. For Peruvian food, this is pretty authentic with Leche de Tiger flavors and even slices of French loaf. Simple, but tasty. Have some patience depending on how busy they get because the food is worth it. They have a cat robot deliver the food, but when there's not a lot of people it's more of a gimmick. Some of the portions are well served. I saw some of the plates from the other tables and they looked like a lot of food. The reason for the five stars is the Leche de Tigre. I have no photos because we ate it all before I could out my phone. I will be coming back just for that dish (listed as an appetizer). The Ceviche Mixto is tasty with a great assortment of seafood. Comes with a great sauce and two types of corn with different preparations. Worth the trip to Glendale.
google avatar

Mario R.

Yelp
I absolutely love Peruvian food and Natalie's by far is my favorite. I typically get myself a Lomo Saltado or an Arroz Chaufa, so if those are the plates you love, this is your spot. The waiters are very attentive & Cristina, the owner, is such a sweetheart. The vibe here is great, Friday there's Karaoke, so if you're looking for something to do that includes food, look no further.
google avatar

Mia S.

Yelp
I came here and loved it! Great service in a family-style restaurant. I ordered the chicken saltado (chicken with fries, rice, onions, and tomatoes) and highly recommend this dish. The flavors are complex and meld together perfectly. The chicken is seasoned and cooked well and I liked the contrast the fries had with all of the softer ingredients. It was absolutely perfect with the aji verde (light green sauce) and I honestly was obsessed with that sauce. I also had a chicha morada (purple corn drink) that reminded me of Jamaica but with cloves/cinnamon flavors. A great meal overall!
google avatar

Valerie H.

Yelp
This place is a little hidden gem! The food is so good! Each plate, cultivates amazing flavors. I had a large take out order, and everyone on my team LOVED what they got. The staff was super friendly and helpful getting the order together for us, which I truly appreciated. Definitely a must try!

Siran X.

Yelp
Love the food here. Nice and patience server and service. Hispanic music. We ordered the traditional course

sherry j.

Yelp
Los ancestros retorciendose. Que jalea tan fea. El servicio decente. This restaurant is one of the few Peruvian spots that I know of in Glendale. I will not be back. The batter was off in all the ways you get two shrimp, fish and frozen calamari for $35. If it were qualitive paying more wouldnt feel so abrasive. My friend had steak, there were grains of old rice in the rice. Wasnt for me.
google avatar

Erick C.

Yelp
In the search for Peruvian cuisine while traveling through Glendale and Natalie Peruvian restaurant was a top choice. Friday nights are popular and buzzing with people from all backgrounds. Yet the staff and kitchen do a good job managing the high demand. The design of the restaurant could be described as modest but fitting. Free Parking is limited with paying options available. Unfortunately although I paid through an app I had to download, I still got a ticket which now I have to take time to dispute. I would definitely visit again, but look into ride share options for the ultimate experience.
google avatar

Kaori T.

Yelp
Lomo saltado is my general go to whenever I go to a Peruvian restaurant. I wasn't very impressed with the one they had here. I was a bit too saucy and salty... Steak didn't taste too great. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything I'd be craving again. However, their fried fish appetizer was the bomb and I could have ate two plates of those! They have pretty good service but they did forget about our appetizer and we had to ask for it. It's ok though, they rectified as soon as they figured it out.
google avatar

Katherine S.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 11:30am and there were plenty of seats available. There looks like an underground parking structure right next to the restaurant. Food: Ordered chicharron de calamares (crispy fried calamares with criolla salsa) and lomo saltado. The calamares are really crispy and fried to perfection! Given I saw other reviews mentioned that the lomo saltado is a little salty so I asked for less salt and it was delicious! The beef strips are really tender and full of flavor! If you don't like your fries in the sauce, you can just ask them to have them on the side instead. Service: Service is really good and they take cash/credit cards.

Yelp
We had a late afternoon lunch at Natalie's with a group of 7 friends. We love Peruvian food and my lady had been wanting to try this place for a while. In fact, my entire group really enjoy Peruvian food as a whole. That's why we chose to have a Sunday lunch here. First we were given complimentary bread and that green sauce. So good with that spice... We ordered chicharron de calamares ($14.99) for the table and the crispy fried squid in a criollo salsa was enjoyed by all. I went with my usual which is lomo saltado ($18.99) that comes with soy sauce marinated strips of beef, tomatoes, onions with fries and a scoop of rice. They make a good lomo saltado. The flavor was really good and all the ingredients were great together. My only issue is that there wasnt enough meat. There was maybe less that 10 pieces of meat on the plate. There was a good amount of fries but there needed to be more meat IMO. My lady ordered camarones al ajo ($18.99) which is a plate of fried crispy shrimp in a garlic butter sauce that comes with a scoop of rice. She liked this dish and struggled to finish it all. Sliced cucumbers were also presented on the plate. Service was good. Place was busy. Prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. That would be my only issue. Free parking out back in a share lot. Metered parking out front.
