The 15 Best Breakfast Burritos in Orange County | Eater LA

"Putting shredded hash browns inside of a breakfast burrito is usually risky business, as it has the potential to create a greasy mess. Yet, somehow, the folks at Nate’s pull it off. The hash browns are crispy yet do not overpower the burrito itself, and the over-medium eggs make for a nice yolk contrast. The pastrami and the double meat option are the favorites here, though a three-meat, three-egg burrito is also an option." - Sean Vukan

Google
Great place! Consistent, which is huge for a restaurant, in my opinion. I did find the bacon and ham in the Two Meat Two Eggs croissant breakfast sandwich to be too oily for my taste. But, it was high quality regardless. I would eat it again, but I'd likely do the Two Egg only. The people are awesome. Friendly, helpful, attentive. Awesome.

Google
Pretty solid breakfast burrito. Was looking for a preflight breakfast and someone local recommended Nate’s. Got the steak breakfast burrito. Massive, definitely one of biggest burritos I’ve ever had. I really like the crunchy hash browns, that’s hard to pull off. Not much in the way of drinks. They don’t give you cups for water and the coffee situation is sad, it looks like the Folgers coffee station at an AA meeting. I’d come back. I haven’t been hungry all day. Don't have high expectations to dine in, it's just tables and chairs. No napkins, you have to ask for them.

Google
The food was great and the burrito was big. Prices were good and the line around lunch wasn’t bad at all. The hash-browns were super crispy and the only complaint I had would be that the distribution of the burrito contents was a little inconsistent. Some bites were heavy on the hash-browns while others had just meat.

Google
This place definitely makes my top 3 of breakfast burrito spots. We got the three meat burrito and it was delicious. The texture of it is unlike any other breakfast burrito I’ve had due to the crunchy hash browns. I read reviews after that mentioned the chorizo breakfast burrito and how good it is after I already ordered. I wished I had gotten it since I love chorizo but the three meat burrito still was phenomenal. We got a side of their greeb salsa that complimented the burrito great. We will definitely be back to try the chorizo and the steak breakfast burritos!

Google
Everyone has their own opinions on breakfast burritos here is mine. This is the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. Super crunchy potatoes that don’t just turn into filler. Chorizo was spicy and delicious and the eggs are crooked only to the point that the yolks are stiffening. Makes it all old together in one epic experience.

Google
Delicious food options. I got the pastrami sandwich that was enough to feed me for a whole day atmosphere of the restaurant is loud and chaotic, but it matches the vibe of the place. The service is great and the staff is phenomenal.

Google
This was sooo nasty! What is wrong with helpers here! Order was wrong My husband got no salsa (put it on the side), She charged us $1 for salsa on the side The burrito is just a bunch of fried potatoe bits. It tasted like fried oil. Kids hated, I think I added 9 ketchups and Tapatio for flavor. They are problably paying to get reviews filtered or I should of ordered a sandwich $60 later for 3 breakfast burritos is ridiculous. That included a $10 tip so I guess $50

Google
Absolutely loved the ham and hash browns in my breakfast burrito. The hash browns seem to be cooked really thin because they're full of crunch and don't get soggy. That's about where the good stuff ends. The egg wasn't cooked. I love a runny yolk but literally couldn't find any cooked egg white in what I ate. The photo was after I drove 15 minutes home which should've given it some more time to cook but nope - still raw. This was supposedly a 2 egg burrito. Maybe because the egg was completely runny, it soaked into other areas of the burrito but it didn't even seem like 2 full eggs.

Yelp
The service here was fantastic! It was my first time, and the food was incredible. I tried the turkey sandwich and the chorizo burrito. I'll definitely be back! A big thank you to Santiago, Hugo, and all the staff. They were all very friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
My first time here and I had the Steak breakfast burrito. It was pretty damn good to say the least. For one, the size was perfect for what it was and what you pay. I felt like it was more than fair and like I got my money's worth. The burrito has really crispy hashbrowns inside which I love, along with eggs and steak. And I asked for mine spicy, so they cut up some serranos and threw them in to give it a kick. On a Saturday morning, this place was quite busy but I would say do not let that deter you from coming. The line moves rather fast and the food was out in less than ten minutes. The workers are also really friendly despite how busy it is. Keep in mind that it is very cold inside and some of the seats are right under AC vents. I feel like I want to come back and try some of their other burritos or items on the menu.

Yelp
wanted to like this place after all the reviews but was extremely disappointed ordered the beef chorizo breakfast burrito for 15$ and was not the move. Was super unflavorful and holy so much oil that the US gonna invade. Oil oozed through the parchment paper, the bag, and onto the table. Left the burrito inedible and had to throw it away.

Yelp
I had heard that Nate's Korner was the place for breakfast burritos in OC. My mistake was trying to be a little healthy and ordering Nate's Favorite ($13.99) - egg whites, beans, grilled veggies, hash browns, avocado, Serrano peppers, salsa and Tapatio in a whole wheat burrito. On the positive side, it wasn't the belly bomb that breakfast burritos usually are and it was pretty light on the hash browns. The burrito is large and half is all I needed. On the downside, the veggies were pretty greasy and there was a piece of plastic in my burrito (which made my review go down to three stars). Next time I'll go for a regular breakfast burrito with meat (whole wheat tortillas are not my fave) to see if it lives up to the hype!

Yelp
Nate's Korner is an unassuming place. Great spot to pick up a breakfast burrito. If you're hungry and in the mood for breakfast, that is the way to go. The parking lot is small, but there is usually parking available. My go-to is the Nate's Favorite (no spice). It's a vegetarian burrito stuffed with hash browns, eggs, black beans, grilled onions, and avocado. It is HUGE, tasty, and such a good deal. I haven't been here for a while and the burrito used to be around $8. Now it's about $13, but it is more than enough to fill you up! You can even share the burrito, but it is so good you'll want your own. Yum! I have also tried their French fries and they give you a huge bag probably about 1.5 lbs worth, and they're OK. Get your fries somewhere else though. I want to try their steak burrito next time. Customer service is always efficient and the orders come out quickly... although you may need to order ahead if you're coming there for lunch as they get pretty crowded. Happy eating!

Yelp
*** Cashless establishment *** Nate's Korner is a long time establishment (since 1975) that specializes in breakfast burritos. The shop used to be a part of the convenience store called Qwik Korner and Nate's Korner replaced Qwik Korner entirely with a new storefront sign in 2016. This spot is considered one of the "holy trinity" when it comes to popular breakfast burritos in Orange County (the other two are Athenian #3 in Buena Park and Nick's Deli in Los Alamitos / Seal Beach.) [Parking]: The shop shared a private parking lot with 7-Eleven. Easy parking when I came here early on weekdays. [Ordering]: My first visit wasn't a successful one as the shop had an issue with the payment system and wouldn't accept cash period. I ultimately visited another breakfast spot and had to come back another day. The shop opens pretty early at 6 AM. [Menu]: The signature breakfast steak burrito comes in regular or spicy. They also serve other items like wraps, hot.cold sandwiches, homemade chili, hoagies, salads, and burgers. *** Breakfast Steak Burrito (Two Eggs, Hashbrowns, White American Cheese, Salsa - sunny side up, $14.99): It was a huge burrito and I can see why the website describes their burritos as "liquid gold". I never had a burrito with sunny side up eggs and runny egg yolk just oozed out of the burrito after my 1st bite. Hash browns gave an extra crunchy and overall it was a great breakfast burrito despite not having a complimentary salsa on the side (extra $1 for red or green salsa). *** I can see the appeal as it was a very good breakfast burrito. I can totally see myself re-visiting this spot again and a solid 4.5-star on breakfast burritos, but this spot doesn't have the best ambiance.

Yelp
Was really greasy but good. Definitely preferred the beef chorizo over the 3 meats. Loved the crispy hash browns inside. Wish it had some grilled veggies and less grease overall. Service was very quick for how crowded it was inside. Not a vibe where I would recommend eating there. But there are tables and it is clean'

Yelp
I stopped by Nate's Korner for a breakfast burrito a few days ago. Quite an extensive menu with a lot of great options. Friendly staff with great service. I ordered the beef chorizo burrito and it was excellent.

Yelp
Food: Pastrami Burrito Price: $14.99 Overall: I have come here a couple of times and they don't disappoint. I always get the breakfast burrito, both the pastrami and chorizo are great (chorizo is a bit on the oily side). Their burrito is very hefty and stuffed with deliciousness. I can barely finish half and needed to share with my boyfriend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR GOOD BREAKFAST BURRITOS!

Yelp
You know the saying that when you see law enforcement eating at a restaurant, it's a good one! Well Nates's is a hole in the wall establishment in a small strip with only a 7-11 adjacent. When I walked in, I think the whole probation officer department was sitting in there. As I was leaving, police came in for food.... It was only 8 am. This place was hopping and for good reason. Their menu is definitely targeted to "feed me" and "big portions" and "good grub." I tried the Nate special burrito without the hash browns and spicy stuff and it is absolutely delicious. It's a moist burrito so remember to grab lots of napkins. I also tried the chili. It definitely has heat and the cashier warned me. I should have heeded her warning. I love hole in the wall and mom and pop places like this one! Casual. Private lot. Indoor seating. Good service. Cashless. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
This place has been here since 1975. They must be doing something right. I keep hearing about how great their breakfast Burritos are and finally decided to try one. I got the chorizo and egg burrito. It was huge, excellent. Devoured it quickly this lives up to all the hype, I will be back

Yelp
Looooved the two egg & two meat burrito. The hashbrowns were so crispy and the burrito was big and hearty. Service was fast so that was great, however, weird odor to the restaurant. No napkins anywhere unless you asked the front. Unfortunately also ordered the Nate's Favorite and am slightly confused on how that's the "favorite". It was full of oily veggies, barely had any hashbrown/sauce, and was even smaller than our other burrito even though we added chicken into this (a whopping +$7). Not sure if this qualifies as a breakfast burrito; needs to be moved to a lunch wrap if anything. Also had to pay $1 for salsa to help get it down because of how dry it was. Was excited to try "OC's favorite burrito" but Nate's was a big miss for me.

Yelp
Wow, if think the burritos and sandwiches are huge.. take a look at these fries! Massive! Excellent customer service, chill environment.
google avatar

Flor P.

Yelp
Bomb breakfast burritos! The portions are huge! definitely shareable. I ordered the chorizo and egg burrito along with the three-meat burrito, and both were packed with flavor. The chorizo burrito was a bit greasy for my taste, but the flavor was spot on. I also love that the hash browns are crispy. The place gets busy, but service is quick. The staff is friendly, and the lady at the front was super helpful and happy to assist. Coffee is self-serve from a pot machine, with hazelnut and French vanilla options, and they also have a self-serve soda fountain. The restaurant was clean and spacious. I'll definitely be coming back to try more menu items!

Yelp
I came across this place randomly on a Saturday. I got the breakfast steak burrito and it was good, but I highly highly recommend getting salsa with it. Otherwise it gets dry and you just need something else with it. Prices are ok and food comes out at a good time too. I don't think I would go out of my way to come to Nate's Korner, but if in the area, I might!
google avatar

Arturo P.

Yelp
It's honestly crazy that I haven't heard of and went to this place sooner! The staff were very nice and their prices aren't bad. Their portions are pretty generous as one burrito was able to fill my best friend and I's stomachs! The burritos were packed and were absolutely delicious and the hash browns inside were very crispy, which I liked. Definitely will come back!
google avatar

Vinitha V.

Yelp
This spot has the craziest breakfast burritos! They are huge and can definitely be shared between two people or you can save it for the next day and air fry it and it will definitely hit the spot! The hash browns were so crispy and were shredded thinly. The eggs were cooked perfectly. It was easy to place and order and pick up the food. I will definitely be going back here again :)

Jeffrey T. L.

Yelp
I am changing my review to five stars due to the outstanding customer service. After my bad experience, the owner Nate personally reached out to me and offered his sincere apologies for the situation and he took accountability for what happened. Nate refunded my order and gave me two burritos free of charge as compensation. I also want to thank Santiago. He also apologized for what happened. Jorge(Primo) also apologized as well and I appreciate it all. I really do. My order came out quicker than expected. I only sat down for a few minutes so that's a plus! Once again, thank you to the owner, Santiago, and Jorge(Primo) for the professionalism and excellent customer service in making things right.

Yelp
WHY have I never heard about this place before?!? BEST breakfast burritos hands down!! The hash browns in here is a game changer! Super crispy and would come back here just for the breakfast burritos!
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying Nate's. I made the mistake of thinking I could walk in, place an order to go, and head home to have lunch in a few minutes. Took 35 mins for my order. Do yourself a favor. Call in your order if you're taking to go! There are a few tables are available both inside and out to eat onsite. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional. Tasty Sammies for sure! Fresh food that's made to order. Decent size with plenty of bread options. I saved half my tuna for a second meal. Tried the Rueben on rye, grilled steak on white roll and tuna on squaw. Added chips at home but available for purchase in the store , too. A nice neighborhood gem. Note. Parking can be a challenge as it's in a small corner lot with a 7-11. Will I come back? Definitely! Gotta try the breaky burritos that seem to be the rage.
google avatar

Kanta K.

Yelp
Probably the best breakfast burrito I've had! Got a bacon and sausage burrito spicy, and it was a pretty big size. The eggs were cooked great with tons of meat, but the hash browns really brought it all together. They were extremely crispy (even after 25 mins) and added a nice texture to the burrito. The spicy didn't really make a difference as they just put chillies in it but they're not that spicy. Parking is kinda hard so you may have to wait for a spot to open or park at the neighborhood nearby and walk.
google avatar

Yelp
The potatoes are the star of the burrito- we got the two meat, but these potatoes, my goodness. So crispy, you'd think there was fried onions in there. We also got the pastrami breakfast sandwich which was on a French roll- also good. The burrito had an over easy egg instead of scrambled which was a nice touch. The hot sauces were good. Regular and chipotle! We went around 11 am and it wasn't too busy, and for only 4 employees they moved really efficiently. Parking is hit or miss, super tight corner so we got lucky when someone left a space. Def recommend. So happy we finally got to try.

Yelp
We were craving breakfast burritos so we decided to come here. I ordered the Nate's special with sausage and the original Italian hoagie. The burrito was actually delicious. It was a bit heavy and the burrito is massive. The sandwich was also very good. The restaurant was very packed when we went and I could understand why. This place has a variety of food and everything was delicious.

Yelp
After searching on Yelp for a couple of nights, I decided to visit Nate's Korner, then go to a local coffee shop to do some work. I arrived around 11am or so, which was a good time to not be in a long line. A lot of patrons were coming and going after I ordered my beef chorizo burrito. The cashier was friendly and seemed to be like an owner or manager type, because she cares about her guests and you can just sense her pride of work. The burrito was huge, had a light crunch inside, and tasty. They don't leave napkins out for guests, probably as a cost savings. I get it. She noticed me looking around, then handed me some napkins. They have a coke machine with the massive variety, instead of the fountain. I also saw a lot of bottled beverages in the cooler. I wanted to let the lady cashier know that her personality and ownership quality made my experience great. I will have to try the Italian sub, when I return.

Yelp
The burrito was okay until I coughed up a sharp bone. Who uses bone-in chicken breast for burritos? Ridiculous. Horrible experience.

Yelp
I took my 93 Y.O. mother to Nates today. I haven't been there in 18 years. We each had the Pastrami Rueben sandwich. One with rye and the other with sourdough bread. And they were awesome. The perfect amount of tender lean meat. Very flavorful. One of the best I've had in years. It was worth the 17 mile drive for lunch. The service was great too. Easy to order from their vast menu. The staff was very nice. The main dining area could use some cleanup, maybe paint and seal the floors. The restroom was clean but needs the toilet seat replaced. I had been looking for a place to go for pastrami but The Hat was too far away. Do back to Nate's we go.

Yvon T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the breakfast burrito here! I am a bit disappointed though that they gave me the wrong burrito since I asked for some adjustments due to a low sodium diet so I had to pick out a majority of the items including the meat. I will say that the hashbrowns were really crispy though and the burrito itself was good if I was able to eat the entire thing! I do wish that salsa wasn't an extra dollar to put on the side though.
google avatar

Yelp
A told me about this place, so I went to go check it out. I ordered the 2 meats and 2 eggs breakfast burrito and my first bite was, omg this is good! They cooked it pretty fast, i had to wait like 5-10 mins or so. I wasn't expecting hash browns to be in the burrito that made it crunchy and good.
google avatar

Vincent N.

Yelp
Card only/Cashless Ordered the steak breakfast burrito ($14.99) and the Steak Hoagie ($16.50). At that price point you may think it's a little steep, but the burritos are massive! Enough for two people! (I had to eat half and save the other half for later). Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I've had! Instead of scrambled the egg is over easy and a little runny. The hash brown crisps are a new take for me, but made it unique and tasty. The steak hoagie is kind of like a Philly cheesesteak, comes with cheese and peppers. I thought it was pretty decent, bread was chewy and not too tough, steak was decent, but overall nothing popped out, good but not amazed. Kind of surprised they only had tapatio and ketchup, was hoping they had some kind of salsa for the burrito. Id give this place 4.5 stars (Half stars off for no salsa and decent steak hoagie) but I'll round up to 5 stars because I was blown away by the breakfast burrito!
google avatar

Laura H.

Yelp
Staff are super chill and helpful, especially Yuri! The food comes out pretty quickly despite being busy during the lunch rush. Reuben hot sandwich comes with pastrami, Swiss cheese, mustard, sauerkraut, and pickles on rye. For to-go, they neatly halved and wrapped it. It's served piping hot, so you get a nice cheese pull when you bite into it. The sandwich was a bit small for the price, but it had a decent amount of pastrami. It was satisfying but very salty overall. Hoagies were great! They're more like subs. Italian and Club were packed generously with ingredients (including a whole load of pickled yellow peppers haha), and they weren't as salty as the Reuben. One hoagie can feed you two to three times, so I'd say it's a good deal. Fries were so good. They looked handcut. Chunky with some skin, soft on the inside, crisp at the edges. I also liked that they didn't overdo the seasoning. The onion rings were tasty and crunchy, too. Both of these were freshly cooked and served in brown bags for to-go. Parking lot is small but doesn't seem to get too crowded, especially with people coming and going. There is more seating inside than outside, and fortunately there are bathrooms are inside. Definitely coming back to try the meaty burritos.

Yelp
Nate's Korner is the spot for some of the best breakfast burritos you can find in all of OC! This spot is located next to a 7-11 in a smaller parking lot. Inside, they have about 7-8 tables for seating. They can get pretty busy depending on the time and day so make sure you plan your trip accordingly. For their menu, they have a large selection of different burritos, sandwiches, pastries, fries, and more! My go to is always the Breakfast Steak Burrito packed with steak, eggs, and crispy hash browns. The burrito will run you about $18 but the portions are so huge that it is definitely worth it and more. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this spot out if you are looking for some amazing grab and go food. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming here. Best breakfast burrito in OC?
google avatar

Yelp
Big and exciting sandwich/burrito menu, I wanted to eat everything at first. The store seems modest and very busy at lunch time, friendly staff. Spicy Chicken Chipotle: huge portion! Good value and decent spicy 9/10 Nate's Favorite: not my favorite! Oily vegetables 7/10 Patty Melt: kinda try and bland 6/10 I didn't love these sandwiches but I really want to go back and try the more popular ones.
google avatar

Justin L.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this burrito! It was dry and too much egg for my liking. The hasbrowns were very crispy! but they did not help with the dryness of this burrito. I bought the sauce in order to help but I couldn't get into this. It was a huge serving. Willing to try again as others have raved about it. Pictures can be deceiving.

Yelp
In my continued search for the best breakfast burrito in the OC/LA area I stopped by on a late morning weekday in Santa Ana here on a recommendation. For the middle of the week in the middle of the day, it was quite busy with people ordering from all over the menu which is a testament to how popular this place was. The menu is pretty large but I tried the breakfast burrito which was recommended to me and I can see why. For your "classic" American breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese, meat, and a form of potato, this one was very memorable. This is mostly due to the hashbrowns being super super thin and incredibly crispy, which makes for an interesting mouth-feel and combination of textures which I had never seen anyone else do. It's also one of those breakfast burritos that has separate components of ingredients in the burrito (e.g. not chopped into a mixture with egg), which can be difficult to make balanced yet they still did a good job here on that. Price-wise this was definitely a good value considering you could make at least two meals out of a single burrito (it's huge!). The three meat I got had sausage, bacon, and ham, but next time I might consider just getting the regular one or two meat because the combination of the meats with the hash browns did feel a bit greasier than I would've liked. I'd be back to try other things on the menu for sure, but I might just have to get the breakfast burrito again instead!

Yelp
Morning hangryness the day after you get back home from Europe is SO REAL. I was up at 5AM on a weekend and after hemming and hawing for a while decided to get a breakfast burrito from Nate's. Nate's is actually located in a super small lot, so I was glad I went a bit early in the morning when there weren't too many people out. The breakfast burrito with steak is ORGASMICALLY GOOD if you love greasy crispiness from the hash browns and the delicious flavors of the beef. The hash browns in this are some of the crispiest I have EVER had and it just gave the burrito nice texture. Also get the chipotle sauce on the side, so good for dipping/pouring onto the burrito for that extra kick!
google avatar

Angela N.

Yelp
Fast service! My party did a preorder of 15 burritos. They were very kind to wrap and label all the different burritos. They placed them neatly in a party tray, bagged everything well, and provided us with extra tapatio sauce and napkins. The burritos were huge and the hasbrowns were crispy giving each bite a good texture! Would come again!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious Nate's Corner turned out to be! We tried the steak burrito, breakfast burrito, and the chorizo beef breakfast burrito, and each one had something special about it. What really stood out was the unexpected crunch--whatever they do to get that texture, it makes all the difference. We arrived in the morning just before the rush, and by the time we were eating, the line was out the door. That tells you something! If you're in the area and craving a solid burrito or hoagie, I'd definitely recommend this spot. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Nate's Korner is *Cashless* Debit or credit cards only. Decent indoor space with about 10-12 tables available to dine-in. There were a few tables outside as well but I didn't see anyone occupy those as it was a bit too warm outside. Inside is a bit run down from the flooring to some of the coffee accessories they had off to the side. Order at the counter and they'll call your name when ready! Sausage Breakfast Burrito ($12.99): Cut sausage, eggs, hash browns, and salsa wrapped up in a tortilla. It seemed eggs generally come over easy but I asked for scrambled. The hash browns were different than most others as it was more separated instead of compact together and were super crispy; added a nice different dimension to the burrito. The only downfall I didn't realize was that salsa was already included in the burrito and it has quite the kick so I wasn't able to share with my toddler. Noticed a sign that asking for salsa on the side was an extra charge of $1.... first time I've seen that. I wouldn't say it's the best breakfast burrito I've had but it was pretty good and HUGE for the price! Constant line of people during lunch hours on a Sunday afternoon. Worth visiting if you're in the area. Private parking lot shared with 7-11.

Yelp
I've been coming here for ever a decade -- Sal and Hugo have been always making the best sandwiches and burritos. The perfect burrito(for me) after trying most of the menu is the Breakfast Steak Burrito w/ grilled peppers and onions. Make sure to go easy on the hashbrowns and salsa. I look forward to coming back here!!!

Yelp
My boyfriend bought this to-go for me, so I cannot say much about the buying experience in-store, but the burritos sure were delicious--and this is really saying something since I do not typically go for breakfast burritos. I got the breakfast steak burrito and he the pastrami burrito. Both were so stuffed! One burrito is definitely sharable between two people or two meals for one person. The salsa costs extra ($1), but worth it to add on top of the burritos. It was nicely flavored and not very spicy. I would say that the steak burrito was a bit on the oilier side, which made me feel quite heavy after though.

Yelp
I would give this place 5 stars but I have not personally been in. I was gifted a breakfast burrito from this joint this morning and it was amazing. Right off the bat after cutting into it, I noticed the crispy and I mean crisp to perfection hash browns in this beast. It was delivered after being made 40 minutes prior and still had a great crunch to them that absolutely blew my mind. The pro hack from my guy was to get the egg over easy in the burrito. Sausage, egg, cheese and hash browns. What's there not to like? The salsa was not spicy enough in my opinion but they do provide Tapatio to kick it up a notch. Overall it will be a STANDARD in the burrito game for me. I might be ruined on all other burritos after having this one. I love texture and this one had it in spades.

Yelp
This place is ok but I have never been to a burrito place where they charge $1 for a salsa sauce for your burrito. It's like eating fries and you have to pay for ketchup. You need that sauce to make your burrito taste good or it will be too dry. Charging someone for that sauce is wrong.

Yelp
The iconic burrito spot. Pros: many options made fresh to order with tasty ingredients. Big fan of the whole wheat tortilla! Many protein options such as chicken and beef. The salsa and hot salsa are very tasty. The Nate's special has a great amount of flavor. Cons: not a fan of the $1 up charge for salsa, do believe one should be included per order. Also the up charge for adding veggie to any burrito of $2.99 and protein of 6.99 is a bit on high side considering burrito pricing and ambiance. The seating/dinning area is in bad need of a remodel. Although the diner feel is ok, this is just not acceptable for such a popular spot to have such bad flooring and subpar seating tables. A remodel with nice flooring and nice benches would go a long way in having a more pleasant dining experience. Overall, I give it a subpar 4 star with potential to be better.

Yelp
The burrito was big. But 10 mins later it messed up my stomach. The steak or whatever meat was in there wasn't fresh or didn't taste fresh. The floor wand walls are coming apart in the restaurant.

Yelp
What more could you want? My wife and I paused to see if we could think of a better breakfast burrito... we couldn't! The crispy hash brown is such a nice touch, the spice level is authentic and elevates the flavor, and it's overall just well done. It's got everything you'd expect, and it's at a really high level. It's a gem of a location. The service is efficient and you can tell they're proud of their menu. The ambiance fits well as a quick pit stop and laid back :)

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have eaten here a few times for their popular breakfast burritos. It lives up to the hype! This spot is located at a small plaza in irvine near the airport, only about 15 parking spots. You order at the counter. We usually get their breakfast burritos that come with crispy hashbrowns, over easy eggs and meat. We also like to get their chipotle sauce on the side. It's definitely a shareable burrito because it's so heavy. I've recently had their chicken caesar wrap and it was average - fresh lettuce, grilled chicken, plain tortilla. Nothing special about it.

Yelp
Woke up in the mood for a hearty breakfast, ended up halving it for lunch & dinner... caution the beef chorizo drip drips all over
