Nate’s Korner is all about hearty, no-frills comfort food, and their breakfast burrito proves why this spot has been around since the 70s.
First of all, the burrito is massive. Easily one of the biggest I’ve had, and definitely a full meal on its own. What makes it unique compared to other breakfast burritos in the area is the way it’s built: the eggs are cooked over easy, so you get that little bit of runny yolk that mixes in with the other fillings. The hash browns are thin and crispy, and there’s a generous amount of them — more than most places — which gives every bite a nice crunch.
Flavor-wise, it’s balanced really well. The eggs, cheese, hash browns, and meat come together without one overpowering the other, and the salsa adds this smoky chipotle note that ties everything together. It’s messy in the best way possible, and it just works.
The shop itself has an old-school, casual vibe - nothing fancy, just a place that focuses on feeding you well. Prices are fair for the size and quality, and the service is quick.
If you’re in Santa Ana and want a breakfast burrito that stands out from the rest, Nate’s Korner is absolutely worth the stop.
