We ordered, for pickup, this past Saturday. To say that we were disappointed, was an understatement. I believe the bill, before tip, was approx. $91.00. I think we left a $10.00 tip. We ordered a crab finger dinner with red beans and rice, a side of fried okra, the Blackened Catfish Acadiana and fried mushrooms. Once we got home, we realized that they'd put the crispy fried okra in with the Catfish dish. Not sure why, because the catfish was not fried. It had a sauce; and is served over rice dressing, therefore adding the okra made the okra soggy. We called, and I'll be honest, I really don't think they wanted to be bothered. They said they would remake it the catfish. So, while we went to exchange one dish, the other food got cold. When we got back home, we realized that they didn't even give us the rice dressing, that's supposed to come with the catfish meal. My food was cold. His food was missing the dressing. The mushrooms weren't good. The red beans and rice looked burnt. We didn't even bother calling back. We ended up throwing the food away and I made a charcuterie board. To be fair, I had more crab fingers than pictured. I'd already thrown some away, before I thought to take pictures. There was also more red beans and rice. That was thrown away as well.

The place was horrendous. My food was overcooked and dry was disgusting. The service, I mean as helpful as they were, they were just as rude. The only thing I was good about that place was the drink so they had a good bartender. And they blamed all the bad food on some new guy they hired. I'm good. I will never eat her again.

Google
I’ve plenty of these Louisiana style food and this wasn’t the freshest. Unfortunately the popcorn shrimp (breaded) was not as crispy as it could have been. The boiled crab lacked the deep flavoring. It was cooked but seasoning coated it more than cooked throughout like other places I’ve had where the broth could soak into the crab meat and shrimp rather than just cooked and dipped in sauce for flavor. 2.5 stars for the food-price is on the lower end for seafood if you are on a budget for seafood 5 stars for service. Twice baked potato was rather chewy, tasted like it was a day old and microwaved .daughter really liked the hush puppies but it was too dry for me. Give it a try, but once is enough for me.

Google
This place was recommended to us for a good steak and seafood. The bartender was helpful, a little eclectic, and very bubbly. Being from Florida, the seafood was pretty good. The steak was VERY good, but it was market price, which was $45. Being that we eat steaks quite often, the ribeye we ordered was only 12 oz, was not what I would have expected to pay top dollar for. The neighbor next to us ordered crayfish and those looked delicious as well. If I was a local, not sure I would go back? I think I might give it one more try before I would make my decision.

Google
We love coming to Nates. They have the best crawfish and bairdi crab. Always get the regular seasoning and add either JP juice or Desi juice. All servers there are great - Carrie, Ace, Greg, Kevin, Simya. Ms. Pat always working hard too. Great atmosphere with great food as usual!

We visited last Sunday, Sam was our server. We didn’t have the best experience. However my daughter wanted to visit the restaurant since we loved the food, I was very hesitant especially since we were seated at the same table however Sam wasn’t our server. Chris 🥦 was and I couldn’t be happier. Chris went above and beyond, accommodating every request with a smile. He ensured we had everything we needed and made the evening special. This was more than just a meal—it was an experience! Thank you Chris for sure a wonderful evening. You changed our outlook on Nate’s, we will definitely be returning.

Google
We went here for dinner while in town bc the ratings and it was always packed as we drove by....it was excellent! Our server was so friendly, helpful and had perfect timing. He has suggestions and was quick to followup. We started with crab claws that were blackened and fried. Yummy and fresh. A great sharing appetizer. Then we had the bacon wrapped shrimp. Also a great shareable. Juicy and salty from the bacon. Really yummy. We then shared the Lafayette book with shrimp, crawfish, crab, sausage, corn and potatoes. It was so yummy. Huge portion. Well cooked. Great flavor. Seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. Loved the sausage. We also shared a Cajun pasta with shrimp, sausage and crawfish...well cooked pasta and the shrimp and sauce were all perfect together...so yummy. Loved everything.

Google
The crawfish was definitely fresh, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, the rub was overwhelmingly salty. I added sausage, corn, and potatoes, but the saltiness made it hard to enjoy those extras as well. I ended up with heartburn later that night. Great potential, but I hope they tone down the salt in their dry rubs.

Yelp
Amazing food all around. Both meals I've had have been top notch. Great service and a very fun and relaxing ambiance.

Yelp
LOVE IT here! I'm a sucker for a quaint dive bar, and this place certainly delivered. The bar and the servers have a lot of personality. The menu is massive!!! so much that it was difficult to pick but I have no regrets about my selections. I tried crab fingers for the first time and they were not what I expected, but everything I wanted! The oysters were amazing too. And I typically don't like alligator bites, but the broiled versions were perfect!!! I will definitely stop when I return to town.

Yelp
This place reminds me of the incredible seafood roadhouse type places all over Long Island, NY. Fun ambience, the service was great...and the drink menu had some fun items on it depending on what you like- I had a Mai Tai, and it was really good. We started with the Shrimp Embrochette- incredible app bacon wrapped blackened shrimp (darn good)! and then Raw and Broiled Oysters- amazingly fresh tasting; Stuffed shrimp (w crab and crawfish)- can't go wrong; Seafood Creole Pasta- so much fresh seafood and the sauce was really one of the best creoles I've had...not too much tomato nor cream, right amount of spice; Blackened Catfish Acadiana- perfectly cooked catfish (great texture) over dirty rice and a creamy creole sauce, w fried oysters and shrimp on top (what?!)- so much freakin flavor, I was really happy with this meal. Coming back!

Yelp
Pretty good seafood boil! The taste of the gator was good but it was some of the chewiest I've had. I enjoyed the redfish, it was seasoned well and the blackened shrimp that came on top were delicious! My boyfriend didn't like the seafood pasta, the sauce was kinda heavy on the tomato and not what we were expecting. This restaurant is pretty busy and parking is really limited so that was a bit frustrating.

Yelp
Nate's was recommended to us, but there was absolutely nothing about the entrees that would bring me back. We ordered calamari ($12) as an appetizer, it had no flavor and was chewy and rubbery. I ordered fried oysters (15) and the 6 you get are small and come on a huge bed of French fries. The other person in our party, ordered the seafood platter and for $18, you should get more than minuscule portions. On a positive note, our waitress was delightful and very good. She gets an A, Nate's gets a D. Find a better restaurant to spend your hard earned cash.

Yelp
I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the Cajun food here is no good. The complimentary bread sticks and hushpuppies were good. It goes downhill from there. The fried catfish nuggets were bland. The seafood gumbo was disgusting. The roux was burnt to hell. My table got 3 cups of gumbo, and only 1 cup tasted good (the rest had burnt roux). I don't understand why the cook doesn't taste his gumbo to make sure it tastes edible. I got a seafood platter. The fried catfish was ok. The crab cake was good, but a little bland. It did taste homemade at least. The fried oyster was nasty and the breading was bland and falling apart. The jambalaya was very tomato-y (I guess it's creole and not Cajun jambalaya). If you've ever had real Cajun food before, this place will not be up to your standards. They can't season seafood right, and their gumbo roux is burnt most of the time.

Yelp
I had heard a lot about this place and wanted to try. The food was excellent and tasty. The only negative of the food were the sweet potato fries. They were very thin and small so it was very hard to taste them. The snow crab and the fried oysters were fantastic, very tasty and generous portions. Our waitress was very friendly and guided us with her recommendations. The food came very fast and even though the place was crowded, it didn't take us more than 15 minutes to get seated. I'm definitely coming back again.

Yelp
We got a great deal for our party of two. I was craving a seafood boil, we ordered the Crab Combo with additional shrimp. The half pound orders always leaving you wanting more so the additional shrimp was a bonus. They did provide an additional amount of sausage. The only downside is our mix choice of adding the rub and the dipping sauce. It was extremely salty and so hard to eat with an already spiced sausage. The turbo heat was super good but as mentioned the overwhelming amount of spice took away from the meal entirely. The starter bread is not bad just don't hold off on eating it since its drenched in butter, once cold it tastes bad and mushy. I would return, great service and atmosphere. I just hope the consistency of a good meal outweighs the bad days. Seafood boils are not cheap and need to made good every time.

Yelp
Always a Good time at Nate's. Delicious Still my families all time favorite , when crawfish is in season Always turbo seasoning ( spicy ) & desi butter sauce ( with lemon and seasoning)

Yelp
This will always be my go to spot for crawfish. Their main dishes are also good but I always save room to savor all the crawfish I can. I like how they don't bathe their crawfish is a lot of butter and garlic like other seafood places. They keep it simple with their touch of seasoning and it's so good. I always order their turbo heat with extra on the side... for those who like spicy. I also really enjoy their hush puppies and garlic bread that they serve as appetizer. It is scrumptious and so unhealthy, but you cannot get enough! The hush puppies have the exact texture and a sweet taste to the them. The only downside to this restaurant is parking. On the weekends when it's busy they offer valet, but even then you have to fight for a spot and wait can be long so I'd recommend going when it's not rush hour.

Yelp
Recently visited and left thoroughly disappointed. Ordered the catfish bites, bairdi crab, shrimp, and sausage. The catfish bites, though over-seasoned, were the highlight of an otherwise forgettable meal. The crab was overcooked and devoid of flavor, the shrimp were uninspired, and the sausage tasted industrial and overly processed. The ambience was lively and dark, with a vibe reminiscent of a late-night bar. I requested melted butter to pair with our crab. Ace, our server, returned swiftly with what appeared to be a dish of oil. One taste confirmed it--margarine. Ace admitted he had a guest bring their own butter that he would bring back to the kitchen to melt since the restaurant only serves margarine, a result of management's corner-cutting measures. Manager Carrie confirmed this, citing rising prices and the "high cost" of quality ingredients. The food, cooked with what tasted like low-grade oil, reflected these poor choices. A $120 bill, plus tip, was an insult given the experience. Management did nothing to remedy our dissatisfaction. For better quality and real butter, go to Red Lobster--which feels like five-star dining compared to this place--or any other seafood restaurant. Needless to say, I won't be back, and neither should you.

Yelp
Great service at the bar as usual! Ordered the crab fingers and a pound of crawfish! Can't wait to return.

Yelp
It was nice to have a taste of home. Will be back again for the chargrilled oysters. I'll have to try a few more things on the menu.

Yelp
I have previously written a very positive review and need to downgrade. Nate's has been a go to for my crew, but it's probably off the last. We tried visiting about a month ago and paid for valet parking in tips. We got inside to be told the wait was 1.5 hours. I told them I was already on their online waiting list, and the host told me he doesn't really look at that and it doesn't matter. We chose to leave, and my phone buzzed from the "irrelevant" wait list and continued to bug me even though I answered the auto message more than once. We hoped that was a one-off but returned last night. The snow crab was expensive, especially considering the legs were the smallest I have ever been served in any restaurant, including red Lobster. They were very soft to crack with barely any meat inside. The largest segments were about the size of my pinky finger. We were not provided crackers and when we asked, the waitress said they had run out and she would have to go wash some. We got to a point where there was nothing else to eat while we waited for her to return. She brought 2 diners 1 to share and told us she was trying to locate more. We shared the crackers and when we got her attention for drinks she pointed out that it's good we shared because they weren't finding more. At a crab restaurant? I think I 'm done with Nate's.

Yelp
The best part about Nate's is the bread they give you when you are first seated. Other than that, the crawfish has little to no flavor. The shrimp and fish made my stomach hurt. The batter was very gritty and falling off the seafood. The service is pretty good and I don't mind the vibe of the restaurant. But the food itself isn't worth coming back for in my opinion.
google avatar

Caprice F.

Yelp
Nate's consistently offers good cajun seafood and cuisine at a price that's slightly less than that of Pappadeaux. The staff is always friendly and the service is very good. I'm a fan of the gater bites, the shrimp, oysters, the gumbo, and the dirty rice. I have not had a boil here yet, but it's on my list. Every time I come here, I see other people eating the boils, and they always look great! This place is a bit of a dive so it's very casual and no frills, but a good casual dining spot with good food. If you're into salads, don't get the blue cheese dressing. You'll be disappointed as it tastes watered down. Also, not a fan of having valet when this place has plenty of parking in its private parking lot.

Yelp
I would heartily recommend this place to ANY seafood lover or any person for that matter. The crawfish is GREAT. Let me tell you how yummy everything is!!!!!! What an upbeat and underrated delicious restaurant. I can honestly say i feel like there's something missing from myself when i go more than 3 months without going here. It's so fun to go with friends and order pound after pound of crawfish and just enjoy the bustling environment of it all. There's a real cool bar, Sports TVs everywhere, and real dining tables. If you're looking for a more intimate gathering then i would suggest going on the weekday as they are not normally as packed. - But on the weekends.... get ready to see just how good of a place they really are to have the amount of people they have come in. Their cornbread is AMAZING by the way. I always ask the waiter to bring multiple trays for me... It's pretty nostalgic too i would say, it's been around more than 25 years in this same spot, old enough to where my dad can say he used to come here with his friends. I think it's pretty timeless. PS. Turbo spice is THE BEST

Yelp
Came here Saturday with friends and Carrie was our server. She's one of the best there at Nate's. Sometimes we don't know if she's on Manager duty or Server duty but we were lucky she was on Server duty. Ms. Pat came by to say hello too. We love Nates and their Bairdi snow crab legs and shrimp. Not sure why we thought 1 lb was good for two adults. Ordered another lb. Started with the Fried mushrooms too! Delicious! Brought our friends and their kids and they loved their snow crabs, shrimp, and everything! Great good and great service! Thank you!

Yelp
Have not been in Nate's in probably 10 yrs so we were very happy to see it was still here while in Addison for some other things. Food was just as good as we remembered. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and hubs had the crawfish etouffee and both were wonderful. We will def be back to Nate's anytime we are in the area.

Yelp
Enjoyed a pound of crawfish here this spring by my lonesome, and the mudbugs were plump, but not ultra flavorful, so the side of sauce may be required to truly enjoy. I also got a side of fries which were satisfactory, but not spiced in any way, which would have elevated them. I ate on the bar side which was so dark, and my eyes never really adjusted, but no one needs vision anyway to pull off the tails and suck up the innards. Next time I will try to find friends and enjoy a bigger order with sausage and corn and sauce!

Yelp
My daughter FaceTimed me to ask me to meet her at Nate's Seafood and Steakhouse based out of Louisiana or the theme is more so New Orleans style. We've passed this area for over year (while roads are under massive construction) but we never stopped. It's always been a packed parking lot though day or night. We were instantly greeted once we walked in. Our Server ACE was SUPERB he was worth the $30 tip. I can say, our first selection of fried fish, and shrimp (on the lunch menu) were a 3/10. When we asked Ace What did he recommend? The crabs, and Broiled Oysters were a 10/10/10. The crabs, and oysters were succulent, and easy to eat the crabs. I did have meat (from cracking) my crabs fly on the floor but sometimes you gotta say a little extra prayer on ya food ya dig? Lol. The lighting is very dim though, this maybe the ambiance. We'll definitely return, Thanks again Ace. The cooks y'all were great with the second half of our meal. Y'all understood the importance of food coming out steaming hot.

Yelp
Stopped by Nates for an early dinner and decided to eat in the bar area. Great music and Cajun atmosphere, as well as happy hour prices ($2.95 draft beers!). We started with the delicious 57 Onion Rings and moved to two orders of the Half and Half - fried shrimp and catfish, with the other being fried shrimp and oysters. Both very good. Their fried okra and red beans and rice are excellent. Couldn't finish it all. Look forward to returning.

Yelp
Had a late night craving for fried catfish so my babe recommended Nate's, and it did not disappoint. It was late night and St. Patty's Day so it was pretty busy. I loved the live music and the casual but cozy atmosphere. Our server John Michael was phenomenal he had a great personality, gave great drink recommendations, and answered all of our questions on the menu. I had a fried catfish po-boy and fries which was delicious! The catfish tasted frisk and was fried perfect! The portion was also large which was great for leftovers. My babe had fried catfish, a baked potato and atchafalaya. He had zero complaints (totally cleared the plate)! I tried the Pink Taco cocktail and it was really good and secretly strong! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely go back and definitely request John Michael every time!

Yelp
Love this little seafood joint! Came here for crawfish not knowing they were no longer in season. Went with the snow crab legs and they were delicious! The garlic butter is very tasty and I love drowning my potatoes in it. Service was outstanding! The atmosphere is really uplifting and makes this the perfect place for lunch or dinner. Great music such as Pink Floyd playing in the background. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Nate's is a classic example of doing it right every time!! Never had an issue! Food is fresh and full of flavor. My go to spot for crawfish in the Addison area. The other specialties like the fried seafood were great as well. Never disappointed when I go.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their crab and crawfish! The gumbo is great as well! The energy in the room when you walk in is so free flowing and fun ! There was live music one Sunday and the jazz music made everything feel so Cajun ! Highly recommend

Yelp
I've been here several times, but I was completely taken back after this last trip. The food is decent overall, but you do have to add seasoning to some of it. This last time, I ordered the "high roller chicken fried steak" and saw it was market price, and yes, I should've asked how much it was, but didn't... and saw that when I received my check, it was $46.95!! Wait, are you serious?!? Should I have asked, yes... should the server have told me when I ordered, YES...but who would've thought, ribeye or not, it would've been $47.00. At worst, I was thinking it wouldn't exceed $35. To top it off, I subbed okra, and there was an uncharge for that....but again, it was a surprise on my bill. I was in disbelief.... They are definitely feeling themselves with this meal, and I still had to add salt and pepper.
google avatar

Shan W.

Yelp
I can't believe the hype about this place. Had three pounds of over cooked unseasoned crawfish that was so hard you couldn't even peel It. Immediately once it was brought to our table I knew it was overcooked. I was told it's because of the time of year, laughable. Anyways I would never return. The bread and hush puppies they bring out oily as heck.

Yelp
Fantastic food and drink. Trina is the best and made the whole experience perfect! Check this place out and ask for Trina! Thanks Nate's Seafood and 5 stars to Trina!!! Thanks from 2 old guys traveling and working!

Yelp
We have been here a couple of times and the service is excellent. We loved the complimentary garlic bread. I enjoyed the catfish po-boy. My husband liked the crawfish. I do wish the happy hour specials were listed or on menu.

Yelp
I love everything about nates from drinks to food, I prefer oysters but I have eaten a lil bit of every thing there.
google avatar

Ali L.

Yelp
Went here on a Thursday night and apparently they had a deal for half off oysters that day.. we got those to share and then I got the solo combo regular heat with the bon temps sauce. Honestly the combo itself is flavorful enough you don't reallyyyy need the sauce, but it's good nonetheless. The regular heat was a good spice, definitely spicier on the corn and potatoes but that's a given. The seafood is good, sausage was a bit too salty for my taste. The oysters were also pretty tasty. You also get garlic bread and hush puppies as a starter. The service was super friendly and accommodating. It's a little dark inside but there's live music which is always nice. Overall tasty place with good service!

Yelp
This is my ex husbands favorite place. When he is in town he is here at least 3 nights a week. And we meet here often to discuss business. The food and service is ALWAYS on point. They accommodate his health requests without a blink of the eye. If looking for good food and a family like atmosphere I can't recommend anyplace better in the area!

Yelp
Great place. I had the Seafood pasta, which was excellent. A "wow!" I don't remember what my colleague ordered, but I do remember him liking it. The gentleman at the table next to me ordered the Dungeness Crab and he announced, upon getting up to leave, that it was "kick ass." The dining area has a great vibe. Casual, friendly, and communal. Everyone seemed to be there to have a good time, eat good food, and have some drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our waiter was personable and was very familiar with the menu. Nice guy. If you're around Addison, up for a tasty meal and good vibe, then look no further than Nate's. Enjoy.

Yelp
My new favorite spot tbh. Tull had a gig here playing cajon for Jade Nickol, who is... amazing btw. The ambiance is perfect. It reminds me of all the spots I loved the most in the 90s in Deep Ellum, Dim lighting, quite small and intimate but even when it's crowded it's not uncomfortable. The food is great. Is it expensive? (by most folks standards) Yea. Is it worth the money? Yeah totally. My entree, the fried seafood platter, was $27.95 but for that I got a lot of food and everything was very tasty and well worth the price. I wish the platter came with fries and there should be remoulade on the crab cake. that's really my only critique. They have a great staff as well, super friendly. If you follow me on socials media you know I have an on going issue with raw oysters, I tried their fried oysters and they're my new favorite. Nate's would be a really cool place for an intimate class reunion after party or any birthday party. Also they had Heinekens in a bottle for three bucks and for this #Povo that came in handy. Love this journey for us .Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
A true Cajun dishes. A rustic ambiance that reflects Louisiana atmosphere. Great service with friendly, smile and helpful. Foods are flavorful and buttery. Not as salty as others. Etouffée uses less roux and just right. Definitely will visit this place again.

Yelp
My husband and I used to go to Nate's all the time when we were dating back in 2008. It was our favorite place for a long time, but after we moved it fell off the radar. We were both at our respective offices in Dallas yesterday and we decided to go to Nate's since we hadn't been there in forever. I had the best meal I have had in ages. First off, the service was superb. Ace was awesome and so attentive. The food was elite. The bread and hushpuppies drenched in butter at the beginning is worth the visit alone. We had the blackened shrimp embrochette for an appetizer and would definitely order it again. The house salad was average. I think it needed more toppings like cheese, cucumber, croutons, etc. It was just greens, a couple slices of tomato, a single olive and pepperoncini. It needed a little more variety and crunch. I went with the chilean sea bass with the salazar topping. The topping had huge chunks of crab in butter, lemon and white wine. I can honestly say it's the best seafood entree I have ever had. The dirty rice was really great as well. We decided to get desserts to go, and I went with bread pudding while my husband had the key lime pie. The bread pudding is FANTASTIC and they sent home a huge slab of it. My only criticism is the cherry sauce that was included. It reminded me of a OTC medicine and I just couldn't get past it. I think the bread pudding would be fantastic with a vanilla bourbon or cream sauce. This is just my personal taste... I am sure there are many who would love it. I made the mistake of putting it on the bread pudding at home and I will sadly end up tossing it. This is a me problem though... absolutely nothing wrong with the dessert itself. Overall, we had a great experience. I will absolutely be back. It has replaced Pappadeaux and Trulucks as our go-to seafood place. Five stars!

Yelp
NATES!!!!!! My favorite place to get crawfish during crawfish season. Good flavor and nice size. I always get 3-4 pounds with a side of wet. Amazing. I love them. Service is good as well. Love all of the servers.

Yelp
Love the live music and they have always had great food. Not a wait for a Sunday night.

Yelp
We asked the waiter to go lightly on the blackened seasoning on the catfish and the alligator bites. Sadly, they were too hot and too salty to eat. Very disappointed. The website says "Sunday BLUES Happening" every Sunday 7 - 11 p.m. The band did NOT play Blues music until we BEGGED to hear a Blues song! The leader of the band informed me that they play all kinds of music. Well, then the website definitely needs to be changed! Plus, they did not start playing till 8 PM!

The best crawfish in dallas. There's a reason they always have a 1 hour+ wait on the weekends. Coming from Houston - we have yet to find better crawfish than Nate's. We come back every year just for this. Looking forward to trying other menu items outside of crawfish season.

Yelp
Nate's is our go to seafood spot in DFW! The food and service here is always impeccable plus it's always a vibe. My go to order is the Stuffed Flounder Atchafalaya but substituting the flounder with red snapper. One of the servers recommended it and it's the best sea food dish I've ever had. Other favorites for our family is the Black Drum Orleans, any of the pasta dishes, fish tacos, crab, boiled shrimp, crawfish, and chargrilled oysters!

Yelp
The shrimp and crab broil is a 5 star in flavor and portion. If that's not enough, ask for Sal....he has personal stake in the establishment and his hospitality is above and beyond. If the walls could talk, they'd be screaming with excitement for all visitors (past/present/future). Is truly fantastic find for kids and adults who like seafood.

Yelp
Took my girlfriend her for crawfish we got 4lbs with turbo sauce. Crawfish were a great size and can definitely tell they were hand picked because the size of them were huge. Turbo sauce is good but be sure to tell the to lightly sprinkle some or you'll be drinking lots of water. Our server Dustin service was a 10/10, he catered to ever need and want and was polite every single time. Checked on us as passed through every 3 to 5 minutes. The ambiance gives off as if you're on a ship with Captain Hook and pan. Really crowded, but fitting for the occasion.

Yelp
Best Cajun food in DFW but you already know that! Whenever you go ask for Tyrone or Salvador! Tyrone is full of amazing suggestions and has the most contagious laugh you will ever hear! Salvador has clearly done this a time or two and will absolutely not forget what you ordered! A memory like you wouldn't believe! Their house sauce is the best for their boils! The fried claims are amazing! Some of the best crawfish prices in town too! Don't ever sleep on Nate's! There will probably be a wait unless you go at 11am on Tuesday! But trust it's worth it!

Yelp
I haven't been here in many years, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They have obviously been in business a very long time and the place has a comfortable well-used appearance. Not in a bad way, It's clean, just has the well-worn look many newer places are trying to achieve. Service was excellent, professional. All the food was delicious. The gumbo is second only to my favorite gumbo at Papadeaux. And it's a very close second which is great. I had stuffed shrimp, which had a generous portion and being very rich, I could only finish half of it. Everyone else loved their meals. I'd return as I'd like to try some other things.

Yelp
I'm on the fence with Nates because the food is good but overpriced and that dreadful parking lot is so tiny and cramped it makes coming here a hassle. My first time, we lucked up on a good parking spot but bad seat location so it took away from the experience. The first time we ordered shrimp enbrochette which was so delicious and it comes with garlic bread that I really enjoyed. For my entree, I got a catfish po'boy, it was average in taste, definitely not one of the top po'boys I've had, but being from the boot, I'm very particular about my po'boys. Overall Nate's is good, but better seafood can be found in the DFW.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and great service. I had 3 lbs of crawfish and charbroiled oysters, my wife had snow crab and a salad. I am from NC, but most of my crawfish eating has been in LA. That's Louisiana, not California. I'd say Rosie Joe's crawfish in Alexandria, LA may have slightly better flavor and more penetrating heat in their hot boil, but this turbo boil was very good.
