The 15 Best Places To Eat & Drink At The Battery Atlanta, Ranked - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"National Anthem, with its all-American menu, is the newest concept at The Battery’s Omni hotel, which has already seen a rotation of new names and chefs in its short lifespan. And it’s a mixed bag. Their typical brunch selections are solid. Their game day menu of pub foods like burgers and nachos do the trick for those here to sop up Braves energy. And the baseball-themed space with Braves-related photos and tchotchkes is fancy enough to host a team meal for all the corporate types who stay here. But their dinner entrees come up short. Orders like the shrimp and cauliflower grits work, but plates like their flavorless pasta don’t give you additional reasons to dine here over some of the more consistent spots." - nina reeder, demarco williams, juli horsford

Dallas Chef Nick Badovinus Is Opening National Anthem at the Omni Hotel Battery Atlanta Near Braves Truist Park | Eater Atlanta

"A Dallas-based chef Nick Badovinus’ spring-opening restaurant inside the hotel at Battery Atlanta, steps from Truist Park, that pays homage to the modern diner and America’s pastime. The menu mixes comfort and ballpark-friendly fare—loaded nachos, deviled eggs, fish and chips—alongside heartier plates like rigatoni alla vodka, a double-stack burger, and a London-broil–style flat iron steak, with desserts such as butterscotch brûlée and pineapple upside-down cake. The offering leans into seafood as well, featuring items like ceviche and crudo, and was described by a 2022 Dallas Observer review as a “mix tape of Badovinus’ greatest hits” with generally more affordable prices than his other Dallas restaurants." - Beth McKibben

Went to a coin show at the Cobb Center in Atlanta. My hotel was only two blocks away, next to the Braves stadium. A group of us found a delightful place to dine at the Chop House stadium gate - called "National Anthem". Their starting team includes Manager Crystal, who runs the place and makes everything perfect. Servers Zeta and Jessica, have smiles that light up the room. They are the perfect combination of courtesy and service. Up front is a well stocked bar with plenty of room for friends. A fine line-up of starters include original meatballs in a hot voodoo sauce which tastes great and many other flavorful choices. The program includes Soups, or Salads, or Sandwiches which come with garlic salted french fries or ranch house slaw. Their Steak Frites entrees are grilled from choice angus. Select filet, flat iron, and ribeye- all guaranteed to please. Also on the roster are Seafood plates, Fish & Chips, Shrimp Sizzle with Cheddar Cauliflower "Grits", Rigatoni Alla Vodka with chicken, shrimp, or meatballs, Pan-Roasted Chicken, and Bay of Fundy Salmon. Have a cup of coffee or tea with desserts such as Pineapple Upside-down Cake, Butterscotch Brulée or strawberry topped Chocolate Mousse Delux before heading home.

The food was, very honestly, not good. I got the traditional, with gluten free bread (which is nice that you get two full slices) and chicken apple sausage. Don’t get the chicken apple sausage. Photographed is also a pork sausage, which albeit better, isn’t saying much. The coffee was also not good, but coffee does the job. Secondly, the wait was really really long. Abnormally long. It took us 1 hour between getting seated and getting our food, which only disappointed. Personally won’t return, as the price coupled with the quality of the food was not a match for me. Our server was sweet, but goodness, the kitchen must not be stocked well or something because it was creeping!

I was so excited to try this restaurant and was so sorely let down. The food is okay, not great; not awful. The pineapple upside down cake was horribly dry and bland. Our server was middle of the way and straight faced every interaction. One pro I have is the atmosphere was very nice, clean, and well designed.

Google
Beautiful new modern restaurant. Upscale but still low key. Located just inside the Omni hotel facing out towards the Battery green. Our waiter was funny, kind, and helpful. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was very good. Absolutely loved the Cali bam bam and the Simple Salad. Highly recommend those two items. The meatballs were good but could use a little more sauce, the deviled eggs were good, and the garlic fries were on point. I loved my ginger highball. The entire dining experience was enjoyable. This has moved up on my list to 2nd favorite place to eat inside the Battery. A little pricey but worth it.

Google
Easily my favorite food at the battery. If you don’t get the truffle fries you are seriously missing out. I could eat those every day and they’re so filling. The drinks were great and the service was as well. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant even though there was a Braves game at the same time.

Google
National Anthem, was extremely disappointing due to poor service from our server, K. She was very slow, spent more time talking with her coworkers than checking on us, and walked by our table multiple times without greeting us. We eventually had to go find her just to take our order. This level of service completely ruined what should have been a pleasant start to our morning, and we would have preferred to go to a different restaurant.

Google
Great design of the restaurant makes it a place worth visiting. Lots of windows with a view of the courtyard right outside of Truist Park. A spacious patio area that is well shaded and cool. Food is very fresh and smartly plated. Great place to go on a Sunday when the Braves are out of town, you'll have all the space you want and can leisurely go through your meal.

Google
Pro: clean and new. Friendly service. Con: $5 "latte" is no different from Waffle House coffee Experience might vary depending on when you visit. I was here on Sunday for breakfast wheee there were a total of 7 different parties present. If you're here during a baseball game, the level of service might differ. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. When I expressed disappointment in my "latte", the waiter offered to fix it. I have to talk about that $5 "latte" because it was the biggest disappointment of my whole experience. The latte is no different than a Waffle House coffee. Starbucks latte is better. I've had some good lattes recently so this failure is especially sore. I confirmed with the waiter that this was indeed a latte and not a coffee with cream. He offered to remake it with double shots. I declined because I don't think it would really be any different. But he offered, so thanks. If you're here, just get the coffee. They're probably the same thing here anyways.

Yelp
Came to The Battery with a friend and we were craving steaks. Everything was packed so we basically took what we could get and the National Anthem looked promising at it is in the Omni. The place was not crowded which was nice . We ordered some drinks and our meals . The general service was surprisingly slow but we aren't one to complain . The food came out and was simply average at best . The steaks were mediocre as well were the sides which was disappointing considering the location and price .. All in all , average and as there are so many options in The Battery - the score speaks for itself ..

Yelp
We were at The Battery and wanted drinks and a light snack and decided to try National Anthem. The ambiance inside seemed nice, we ate outside and had to walk past the dining room to get to the patio. Food and service were good, but our server could have been more attentive. I think they forgot about us, I'm guessing because we were outside. We had to go in and ask the host for our check so we could finally leave. We had the fries, margarita, and rosé.

Yelp
Visiting Atlanta with family. Enjoying the Braves Stadium and stopped in the Omni Hotel to cool off. The restaurant just inside the doors is cute. Grey marble and hints of dark blue accents. But the real star is the bartender, Sy. She hooked a sister up with a Bloody Mary. Spicy and strong. Just like at home. Also watched her handcraft a vodka sour and the Romaine. It's fresh lime, cranberry, and vodka. Even the lady in the gift shop had that southern hospitality. Epic experience. Tell them Vickie sent you. And order the Romaine. Peace, love, and respect

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem at the Atlanta Battery, well worth trying if you're looking for a full service restaurant experience at a reasonable price, and the service is outstanding. The wait staff is very welcoming and friendly, especially Stephanie. My wife and I both ordered the chicken sandwich with fries, a very good choice; however, as a burger and fries left the kitchen en route to a hungry patron caught my eye our waitress Stephanie overheard me say, "Oh, now I wish I had ordered the burger...," much to our surprise, she brought us the burger and fries to share compliments of her and the restaurant manager. This was a wonderful experience, we will be back.

Yelp
Stopped by while in town for a business trip outside of baseball season. The place was clean and the service was great. I ordered the fish and chips which were good. However I can imagine this place off the chain in game day. Sorry no pictures

Yelp
The missus and I were gearing up for a little pre-game action, figuring a Dirty Martini was the ticket. So, we strutted our way in, thinking we were hitting up the lobby bar at the OMNI HOTEL. Oh, how wrong we were! We plunked our order down, only to have the barkeep hit us with the hard truth - olives and olive juice were apparently in short supply that evening, enough to keep just one of us happy. Strike one, pal! As if that wasn't enough, I watched the so-called bartender whip up my better half's drink without even bothering to cap the shaker. He stirred the damn thing like he was crafting a gentle lullaby instead of shaking up a real cocktail. Strike two, and my patience was wearing thinner than a summer shirt. Then came the grand finale of fiascos. He sloshed the concoction into a martini glass, but here's the kicker - he held onto it like it was the last piece of prime steak in a dogfight. The result? That drink was toast, warmer than a politician's smile on campaign day. And to top it off, lo and behold, a friggin' mint sprig surfaced at the glass's bottom. It was like some kind of sorry surprise left by the last poor sap who got duped into ordering a drink here. Strike three. We hightailed it out of that Bush League excuse for a bar, not a single inkling that we'd be in for such an amateur hour escapade. How in the world could the OMNI associate itself with such a sad excuse for a bar? This, my friends, was a foul ball of an experience, and I ain't planning on stepping up to that plate again anytime soon.

Yelp
It took 25 minutes for our drinks to be delivered and we had to ask another server for waters. Then our son's drink had a fly in it. The food was fine but nothing to get excited about. Service was incredibly slow. There are so many other options within walking distance. We should have gone to any one of them. Do yourself a favor and skip National Anthem.

Yelp
Food is fine. Service is horrendous. Waited 30 min for waters. Food was cold, drinks were disgusting. Super disappointing.

Yelp
Service was slow. Place looked like they had nobody working in it after a braves game. Waited over 30 minutes just for our ticket. Would not recommend this place

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place. Wow - the food was incredible, the ambiance was perfectly Braves-themed, and the service was fantastic. The location is immediately outside of Truist Park, and you have a perfect view of the Battery courtyard and all the activity going on out there. The burgers here are phenomenal and far better than a typical burger at other restaurants. The salmon was absolutely delicious was impressive flavor combinations. The bar mixed a lemonade that was fantastic. Stephanie was our server and she was one of the best ever - she gave very candid, straightforward guidance for how to navigate the menu and was extremely attentive to us throughout our stay. One of the best servers we can ever remember having at a restaurant! Needless to say, anytime we're at The Battery Atlanta we will be eating at National Anthem restaurant!

Yelp
Brunch was awesome and the manager Breana went above and beyond for my boyfriends birthday. The service was great and the vibes were perfect! 10/10!
