National Union Building

We held a multi-day event at the National Union Building. The spaces and rooms are gorgeous - so much more character than most conference venues! The staff were attentive and responsive to our every need. We would highly recommend the National Union Building for meetings, events, conferences, parties, and receptions!

I work for a company and we held an event at National Union Building this past Thursday, February 13th. I couldn’t be more happy with all of the staff that assisted in making my event a success. A special shoutout to Areanna and Tyson. Areanna assisted with logistics behind the scenes. She had a phenomenal team that executed on site. Tyson was incredible to work with on site. He adjusted my room layout to fit my vision and made sure everything ran smoothly. He had a great team who I was lucky to work with: Gretchen, Tatiana, Greg, and Adam. Areanna recommended her preferred caterer to me, Windows Catering. The team had a beautiful display of food, not to mention the food was delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful first experience & we are looking forward to our next event!

The atmosphere and the vibe was on point . Everyone who came were fun n funny. I would definitely recommend doing this with a friend or even alone like I did. I would do this again

Accessibility Audit: The ramp shown was out when we arrived, and the door was propped open fully. Nobody requested this in advance, so it was nice to see accessibility as a forethought for once. The sticker in the window was a nice sign of their commitment to accessibility, but there was no contact number provided if help was needed. This is especially problematic since there seem to be different businesses operating out of this space on an event by event basis or temporarily, so just contacting an event organizer likely wouldn't lead to direct and quick remedy. Fortunately, I had no accessibility issues and didn't need to contact anyone. I hope they consider adding an on-call accessibility contact number to the window sticker. Very beautiful inside. Restored and historic event venue space. There are 6 floors. Plenty of space for any type of events or filming. I will be back for the Broccoli Com sessions in April. I can’t wait to see this space transformed. This used to be an old firehouse. Parking is on the street or find a deck nearby.

Location is nice the building nice but the elevator wasn't working went to a sip and paint but there's parking garages on 10th Street and 11th Street all in walking distance but the sip and paint could have gave you a free drink on the house for the ticket cost either way I enjoy it 😊

Historic building located in downtown DC that serves as a meeting venue for conferences, classes, and other meetings. The highlight is the old style elevator, along with a rustic brick layout.

The most arrogant staff I've ever met in years of event planning. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time in this space. I was attending an event on the fourth floor and let me tell you, the most impressive part of this space's renovation is the elevator. If you like cool, old, well-restored metalwork, be sure to jump at the next work event offered at the National Union Building. The elevator itself is fully functional and well-lit so that every detail is visible at night. Plenty of beautiful artwork on other levels as well but the National Union Building is, on its whole, a wonderful venue for work events, happy hours, small receptions, and more. Great location, too! We held a convening for a full week on the fifth floor and the space was gorgeous, easy to access, and private. Catering was smooth and it was so nice to have bathrooms dedicated to our gathering alone. The staff are readily available and truly helpful! I would definitely recommend the space to others!

The venue is spacious, and very cool -- the tin ceiling on the 4th floor adds to the charm. Staff are very helpful and because they work with a host of caterers and A/V vendors, the operations really are seamless. I've used this venue for a couple of years for an event series I host and really couldn't ask for a better setup.

I helped organize an event in this space for Make A Wish and it went very well! The guests loved the space and the building accommodated our setup for two open bars, a silent auction and a live band. They were also very helpful when we sold out the event and allowed us expand to a second room so we could keep selling tickets. Great location!

We have been coming to Washington, D.C. for years and hosting events. This is the best kept secret in regards to pricing, location and wonderful customer service. Thank you all again for helping make our event a success!

The DC Wine Fest event was very nice. The wineries were awesome! I did not realize there were so many local wineries. The venue was very clean. The only thing I would suggest maybe 1 or 2 more food tables or a table with more options. I will definitely look forward to attending the event next year.

I wish I could give zero stars, but I'll give it one for being a unique building with a lot of potential for a lovely event. Our wedding was supposed to take place on May 16, and we have not heard from a single staff person from National Union Building, Loft at 600 F, or Event Hub DC since March. Our wedding date has now passed, and we have had no way to reschedule, cancel plans or get reimbursed for our payment or security deposit. Not even bad service or communications, no service or communications. Do not book this venue.

I recently held a celebratory dinner at the National Union Building in their 6 North and 6 South event spaces. The two spaces worked perfectly to hold our group of about 170 people for a reception and seated dinner. The caterer that they use did a great job and all of the food was delicious. They were also able to accommodate some last-minute changes to the menu and seamlessly worked with various dietary requests. We loved the historic vibe of the building and the staff was very helpful in creating the perfect space and atmosphere for our evening.

As a a catering company we were hired to do a wedding event and this place had a full kitchen in which we were NOT allowed to use which i thought wasn't accommodating at all. We had to set up our food in a very narrow hallway and it just wasn't helpful or sanitary, they need to fix his.

National Union Building was the perfect venue for our 100-guest wedding in May 2018. The space was beautiful and fit the "personality" of our event really well. The location is convenient, and our guests had a great time! We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue in DC! We got so many compliments on the space and how well it worked for the event. One of our engaged guests wants to book the space for their wedding after seeing how awesome it was. It really was the perfect space - a great aesthetic, a great value, and an excellent overall experience.

The National Union Building is prime event space in DC. The space is amazing and their event team (Francis & Paul) were awesome. Easy to get along with and great response time whenever I had questions. You can't go wrong with hosting your event at NUB!

My organization held our staff retreat here and had a really great experience. The building is beautiful and the staff were all very helpful. The woman we worked with, Hannah, was helpful during the process and helped make sure we had all we needed.

The event went really well and the NUB staff was very helpful in coordinating needs and vendors. The space itself was so cool, and attendees loved it. One person on our post-meeting survey said "The venue was outstanding." The AV went great and Paul (of NUB) was incredibly helpful. The wifi experience was pretty slow for all attendees, but NUB let us connect the presenter laptop to their protected network at least, so it at least didn't hinder the presentations. Overall a great venue and extremely unique and charming.

Quite literally the worst customer service ever. After going to an event here on a Saturday night and leaving my keys at the venue, I had literally no way of contacting anyone to try and retrieve them. Instead, I had to deal with a phone tree that had multiple dead end options with full voice mail boxes that I couldn't even leave a message on. Then when I was finally able to reach someone two days later, my contact info was obtained but no actual effort was made to find my keys. Instead I was told that I would be contacted "if something comes up." As if my keys would just magically fall into someone's lap. When asked if someone could check the space over to confirm my keys were in fact not there, I was brushed off and told I would be contacted if "they popped up". Zero attempts to actually be helpful. Zero effort to make right by their customer. Zero solutions. I will never ever hold an event here in the future. They clearly have no concerns for their customers, only care about their bottom line.
