Hidden Gem in Scottsdale – A Must-Visit for Art Lovers If you’re looking for a truly unique shopping experience in Scottsdale, the Native Art Market is a hidden gem that captures the essence of Native American culture and artistry. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the stunning array of handmade jewelry, housewares, and artwork that lined the shelves. This isn’t just a store—it’s a celebration of Native American craftsmanship, with a special focus on artisans from Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado. One of the highlights of my visit was meeting Heather, a passionate and knowledgeable sales associate. She took the time to share the fascinating history of the Navajo Nation and offered in-depth stories behind the pieces in the store. Her pride in her culture and her work was evident as she guided me through the collection, making each item feel even more special. I learned so much about the Navajo tradition, the significance of turquoise, and the artisans who create these breathtaking pieces. I left with two pairs of turquoise earrings and a beautiful bracelet, each accompanied by a thoughtful card detailing the artist’s name, the location of the mine where the stone was sourced, and a bit about the artisan behind the creation. This personal touch added so much meaning to my purchases, allowing me to feel a deep connection to the piece I was bringing home. My friend also found some lovely household items that made for her new home, and we both agreed that the quality and authenticity of the products here are unparalleled. The Native Art Market isn’t just about shopping—it’s about learning, appreciating, and supporting Native American artists who are true entrepreneurs, sharing their culture with pride. Whether you’re strolling through Old Town Scottsdale or seeking a special gift, this market is a must-see. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in town!

I wish I had unlimited income because the art and items in this store are so amazing. Very unique crafts and art. I love the Native American style and how the young artists are combining personal style and heritage.

Staff is amazing and the owner is very welcoming! This is where you can get AUTHENTIC native craft and art actually made by indigenous people! I will be supporting this shop over any other non-native owned store. Thank you!

Tyrell was awesome. He told us the history of the store , the art work, his families legacy. It was great to see everything and support.

Google
I loved visiting the Native Art Market in Old Town Scottsdale! Tyrell was so friendly and took the time to explain the meaning behind different pieces. I ended up buying some beautiful hand etched horse hair pottery by Mabeline Grey - her work is absolutely stunning. The store features so many talented artists and gorgeous pieces. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

We stopped by and we were amazed with all the hand made art and jewelry we brought a dream catcher and some other native tea and art. It’s a family business and everything they have are from local artists I learned a lot

Unique high quality Native gifts like the Manuelito sticker pictured below. Some of our favorite items are the Geronimo & San Carlos Apache tribal logo t-shirts, anti-aging face oil & original designs sticker spindle (Native leaders, Star Wars cultural concept, etc). Such a cool store.

Yelp
Such an amazing store, but better yet...next door is a small fry bread business, out of my 20 years of powwows, family reunions, aunties recipes, this is the best fry bread ever. I highly recommend the flight to try all the sauces as well!! 10/10. Amazing food, genuine and incredible service!!

Yelp
A Navajo owned shop in old town Scottsdale, this is a perfect place to shop and browse for jewelry and other things that might catch your eye! I wasn't able to buy anything as I didn't see anything that fit my fashion sense (for jewelry they have majority silver jewelry, and I wear mainly gold), but I got to talking with the staff and the same owners have a restaurant that is right next door, so if you're ever looking for a bite to eat and want to try Native American food, just swing by next door!

Yelp
I can't believe I have not reviewed this store, and it is my favorite shop in the entire Valley! They have been open for about 3 years now, and every time I am in downtown Scottsdale, I do love coming in her to browse and see any new items they may have. Tonight, after eating at The Fry Bread Lounge (newly opened), my friend and I were peering into this store and we thought they were closed as it was past their business hours but the nice guy at the counter saw us and waved us in! I was happy it was open so my friend could see this place, and I, of course, was super happy to come in and check new stuff out. I lived on the Navajo Reservation for 4 years and it is a special place in my heart, so seeing familiar items like the Navajo scarf, turquoise, piñon coffee, Navajo paintings, indigenous flutes, indigenous artwork all fill my heart with so much joy! I had a chance to chat with the counter guy, and his name is Tyrel, and he was really nice and welcoming. He let us know now that there are over 300 indigenous artisans from 20 different tribes now showcasing and selling their work here. That is just really amazing! I have also wandered in here on Saturday afternoons, and there are usually some Indigenous artists playing music here, and I have heard drumming, flute playing, and seen dancers here too! When I need to get thoughtful gifts for friends, I have some here to buy items like T shirts and Navajo themed items to give to my friends and loved ones. I love their Navajo themed Stars Wars shirts and also tonight found the cutest T shirt from the designer Turquoise Mafia! There is so much to look at here and so many unique items! Definitely, you will find something special for you and loved ones here. Prices are higher than on the rez, but also know you're supporting local and they are paying rent in Scottsdale. Wonderful, unique shop in Scottsdale, I love it!

Yelp
Such an awesome store in Old Town Scottsdale that supports local indigenous artists. The staff is super friendly and provided us with a lot of knowledge regarding the artists and the designs, providing us with historical and cultural context. They have a vast selection of goods ranging from bags and jewelry, to art and cooking supplies. It's easy to spend a few hours in here. The business is family owned and operated and they just opened a fry bread restaurant literally next door. Members of the family work at both of these establishments. They also hold events and performances every so often at both locations which I'd love to catch one day. It felt good to shop with them knowing that the artists are receiving funds directly and I'll definitely come back to support in the future.

Yelp
Plenty of selection, supporting every indigenous artist, with quality goods! What more can you ask for? A really nice and knowledgeable cashier? You got that too!!

Yelp
This market was incredible. They had beautiful pieces and there are explanations of the meanings provided for the artwork. I absolutely recommend this to everyone.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this shop! You can feel good about shopping here because the items are Native made, the store is Native owned, and the profits go directly into the pockets of Native artisans. Win, win, win! Unlike other shops in the old town Scottsdale area, this shop is not stuffy or intimidating. Not everything is locked up, requiring assistance! The employees were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, plus you get a bio and information about whoever made the item you purchase. Very cool! My mom and I were offered coffee or wine when we arrived, the store has a little doggie running around, and a we were informed that a flute player was on his way. The vibe is just totally different and so welcoming! On top of that, their items are beautiful! I saw some super unique pieces and designs I've never seen before. While some items were def out of my price range, I snagged some gorgeous bracelets and earrings. We also picked up some piñon coffee for my brother. So many cool things here! I could have gotten way more haha. If you're looking for great variety, friendly customer service, and a business model that seems to be more beneficial to Native artisans, this is your go to shop! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
A wonderful store if you're looking for native art, jewelry, pottery, and souvenirs. The store itself is an experience. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was offered wine and coffee while I shopped. There was a live performer, and the staff was just lovely. They claim to be the only native owned and operated store in Old Town, Scottsdale. The shopping experience does feel authentic and I loved how each merchandise display is accompanied by a photo of a local artist and their story. The staff is also eager to engage and tell you more, but is not at all overbearing if you're more like me - a quiet shopper. A very wide range of prices, so I'd say mostly anyone will find a treasure to bring home. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Spent at least two hours in here looking at everything and admiring all the amazing artwork. We bought some really great pieces. I will be back often to checkout their new finds!

Yelp
We came to see the dancers. They only had the flute player when we went. It was cool but the advertising we saw didn't stat Sunday was flute player and no dancers. We drive a distance to go there so it was disappointing. The items being sold were very nice. I was told overpriced but I wound the know the difference. Everything seems over priced anymore. It was in a cute little shopping area that is worth checking out as well.

Yelp
I admire and support all local artists and was excited to find this gem within Old Scottsdale. The area has many stores however this one is truly run by Native Americans who know THEIR history and artists. Many many beautifully created works... my only complaint would be "get rid" of things made out from China and go with all thing's authentic. Even "if designed" here... the community has artisans who can create the mugs... stickers, etc. Enjoy!

Yelp
This was my second time visiting Native Art Market. I cannot recommend this store enough. During both visits the store hosted musical performances. The employees are so friendly and well informed. I send a special thanks to Brian, who even polished up a bracelet that I bought on my first visit while I shopped! The jewelry and art is amazing as well. The artists are truly talented and I found everything to be very fairly priced. Out of all the shops in Old Town, this is the one to go to for unique, hand made art that actually supports artisans.

Yelp
One of my favorite shops in Scottsdale. Unique items, lots of handmade jewelry, art etc. Cool vibe with live performances & artists working right in the store. Good price points for everyone too.

Yelp
Great customer service for someone wanted to know about history and culture. Loved my purchase and the chats. Loving my new piece

Yelp
The young man that helped us out was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to us, and what he didn't know, he told us. Anyone looking for authentic Native American items should stop by.
google avatar

Pamela S.

Yelp
This is an Indigenous cooperative, owned and operated by Indigenous people. If you aren't buying directly from the hands of an indigenous artisan this is the ONLY place you should be shopping. Every item is uniquely and individually crafted by native people, not mass produced and imported like the majority of surrounding shops. Pottery, jewelry, music, art and people who know the stories and culture of the artisans who crafted them welcomed us into the space with music, hoop dancing and complimentary coffee and "rosé all day".

Yelp
Authentic jewelry and artwork made by local Native American artists. Live performances Sundays 1pm - 5pm and Thu/Sat 3pm - 7pm.

Anna B.

Yelp
The art is all made by Native Americans and is really beautiful and well crafted. Brian the store manager is wonderful to talk to! I highly recommend going for a great piece of art and to learn more about the art they make. I got a wonderful pair of high quality moccasin booties for my niece that will last forever.

Yelp
This is a great shop. I like that the artists have bios. Great respect for the culture and great respect for art. You can feel good about buying native art here.

Lauren S.

Yelp
We came in during a sip and shop event Sunday! The shop is beautiful and they have so many pieces of jewelry, pottery, and so much more. There is something in the shop for everyone! We found some great pieces and all purchases go 100% back to the local Native-American artisans that have created them. While we shopped we had rose and got to listen to an incredible flute player/ singer. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area and definitely worth the drive if you are farther away!

Jess S.

Yelp
Lovely people and lovely pieces! There are so many shops in Scottsdale boasting about selling "Indian" work but are just perpetuating harm against indigenous peoples. Go here instead of contributing further to this disenfranchisement!

Casey D.

Yelp
Brought my mom, she said the store was nice, clean, the employees were friendly, and there was a native dance we got to watch where we learned something new. Definitely enjoyed our time visiting here.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. It's really great to finally see a Native American owned shop in this area. Nice that they have a small performance area for musicians and dancers. If we hadn't come across this place I wouldn't have known about Native Ground Coffee.

Nora M.

Yelp
This store is AMAZING. The service was great, and as soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted and told about all the services they had to offer. A few minutes after, I got to watch a musical performance by an amazing flute player. I spent a while walking around and looking at all of the rings. I found a beautiful green one that I loved. I wear it all the time and I love it. If you need beautiful jewelry, come here. I loved how I could walk up to one of the staff and they'd tell me all about the artist and the history of the piece. Not only did I find so much beautiful art, but I also learned a lot about Native American art and culture. Five stars.

Linda W.

Yelp
If you have an interest in Native American art and culture, this lovely Native American-owned shop is a must-stop in Old Town Scottsdale. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They will share the history of the artist, and the techniques used in creating the art. Interpretations of the designs for those of us who are appreciative but not familiar make a purchase more meaningful. The Navajo pottery is beautiful as is everything else. The business model directly supports many Native American artists who are not represented by the large galleries. Quite impressed with this shop and will be back.
