Stopped here on a Saturday while getting our vehicle fixed next door & watched about 3 groups of folks go somewhere else since they don’t open till 9am on the weekend. We stopped in since we weren’t in a hurry & thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was friendly & helpful, drinks were tasty (didn’t have decaf though) & ambiance was cute & cozy. Will be back if we’re ever in the area again. ☕️

Google
Favorite coffee shop in all of Houston! Espresso drinks are excellent, they have a great range of things to nibble on from sandwiches to croissants to occasional empanadas, all high quality. The atmosphere is COZY, complete with plants and eclectic decor, an outdoor space, as well as folk/indie music playing on the speakers. They often have free books laying out from Candescent (I’ve found a few classics) and they occasionally advertise cool events. All of the baristas I’ve encountered are super friendly—shoutout to Veda who is a delight to chat with and remembers my order. Such a welcoming, community oriented space!

Google
This is such a charming coffee shop with delicious food! I attended a Coffee Party here with live music, featuring two different DJs, and it was an absolute blast! If you love daytime events, this is the perfect vibe. I tried one of their sandwiches, and wow—I’m already craving it again! The staff is super friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing menu items. It’s also pet-friendly with a lovely patio, perfect for enjoying the spring weather. The only downside was limited parking, but it’s totally worth it. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Google
Very nice but very small sandwiches, definitely not Texas sized! A bit disappointing for the price (15 bucks per). We had to go and find a taco truck after, in order to complete our lunch and not be grumpy. We are not Texas sized either, but even for us it was more of an appetizer then a lunch. Great lemonade though, and nice guy working there. One sandwich was 5 stars (Westheimer, great but too small) and the other was 2 stars (S.W.A.T). Nice vibe, artwork, plants, and people all around 👍

Google
Cute and quaint little coffee shop to the right of this auto shop. Get the hot honey & SWAT mayo breakfast sandwich! I didn’t think I liked breakfast sausage until I tried this sandwich! It was so yummy and I love the potatoe in it. The hot honey was a perfect touch. I also got the brown sugar vanilla latte. So good and rich. They only offer whole or oat milk. The live DJ on a Saturday morning was a welcome surprise. Will be bringing my friends here. This place was poppin! People and coming and going the entire time I was there.

Yelp
a true neighborhood coffee shoppe, the owner and staff are chill and keep the space mellow. a good spot for chillin, deep convos, and musical taste here is soliddddd big fan of their cold brew they make in-house, and they're homies with their roaster, so ya know, it's all legit-LEGIT.

Yelp
A breakfast sandwich of dreams. The barbari bread is wonderful! The lattes were also excellent, and what my coffee critic sister and brother in law have claimed as the best in HTX. I recommend sitting outside and enjoying the charming plants. Bonus - this is a pet friendly cafe!

Yelp
Came here for Sunday, coffee and beats! Such a vibe, their coffee was the perfect addition to a beatful Sunday funday coffee experience. Order at the counter. Parking is in the back. Or street parking. Cute little patio.

Yelp
Food: I had the lavender iced latte and it was very refreshing along with a bacon egg, and cheese croissant! I recommend both! Next time I go I will try the empanadas! Service: very friendly and they maintained the establishment very clean Ambiance: they had an event going on when I went so it was pretty loud but I could still study with headphones. The WiFi is free and they do not require you to keep buying stuff for the password. They also have plenty of parking in the back of the building! Overall great, beautiful place!

Yelp
I love dog friendly businesses! Native Coffee has a large spacious patio where you can hang out with your furry friend and get some work done. There are lots of plants inside and outside which always elevates the environment. The baristas are so sweet and friendly and they offer oat milk as an alternative for no extra cost. And doggy treats! There is a small table inside with some free books as well. The matcha latte with no sweetener was excellent and made with care. The only con I'd say is that the road next to the patio can be quite noisy. But if you don't mind that, it's a nice space. They have a solid choice of music too, in my humble opinion!

Yelp
Be careful not to miss it. I've driven past it before. Turn on left/right on ROBITA ST & there is a convenient PARKING LOT behind the auto shop with plenty to spaces. Super cute outdoor shaded DOG FRIENDLY patio. The baristas are friendly & greet everyone warmly I've been here a couple times & I'm always a fan of their CARDAMOM VANILLA ICED LATTE. I feel like the cardamom is their specialty. I have yet to see it at other cafes. Their coffee is robust, not acidic at all which is always my worry with certain brews. They have a decent food menu with lots of options. It's mainly sandwiches but there's a few on there that I'll be sure to try the next time I come - NOON PANIR: creamy feta, honey, & walnut served on sesame bread. It's a delight combination of sweet & savory. Perfect snacking size & goes great with coffee - BREAKFAST SANDWICH: sausage, egg, cheese, hashbrown, hot honey, & mayo. Doesn't that just sound like an amazing combination? Very satisfying. I would absolutely get this one again METHOD PILATES is right across the lot & this is the perfect place to grab a treat before or after class. I will be back very soon

Yelp
Native Coffee is a local coffee shop in Midtown/Montrose area. Parking is plentiful next to the auto tire shop; a nice surprise since parking is generally a pain on this side of town. As you walk in, you pass through a cute and shaded dog-friendly patio with lots of plants. Super cool and laid back vibe. As you walk in you'll see the counter and a good amount of seating. The walls are decked with various artwork. Lots of people on their laptops doing work, so it seems to be a good spot to get some work done. As far as the coffee I got an oat milk latte and my wife got an iced lavender latte. My latte was great. It was a perfect blend of delicious espresso and perfectly textured oat milk. I also noticed that they didn't charge me for my oat milk. My wife's latte was also delicious, perfect amount of lavender syrup. Overall, I can see this place being a regular spot for a lot of people. If you just want to hang out, get some work done, or just want a good cup of joe, this place is right for you!

Yelp
Coffee is fine. But I live on the same street and have to pick up the trash in the Native Coffee parking lot (as I had to again this morning) as they ignore the condition of their parking lot. I would simply expect more from a quality food establishment.

Yelp
Oatmilk cardamom lavender latte - 8.5/10 - $5.50 - Not a fan of lavender but this had just the perfect hint of it. Oat milk made the drink creamier. The size of the small cup was very small lol but i recommend stopping here for coffee if you're in the area :)

Yelp
Delicious drinks at ridiculously good prices, especially considering the area. The lunch items were more than I might typically pay but the drink prices are really fantastic and the drink quality was very good. My son's Green Apple Lemonade was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Best sandwich I have ever had is the SWAT sandwich... and their latte's are sooo good too. Very impressed.

Yelp
This coffee shop is right next to my cousin's apartment and I just have to say it's good that I don't live there bc I would end up going to get coffee here every single day. Absolutely loved the iced vanilla cardamom latte. The barista was super sweet and recognized my cousin's dog and greeted the dog as if she was a paying customer. I didn't try any food but everything looked delicious!

Yelp
What a neat little nook? Did they just open? How come no one knows about this place? Just beyond the little gate and ramp entry lies a cute little intimate cafe. To give credit where credit is due, they did a decent job decorating this white box interior. The interior decor is minimal...a handful of wooded table sets, a smattering of plants, and few local artisan goods for sale, but it helps that natural light FLOODS the place. On my visit, the service was great. The staff was helpful in helping me select an entree. I appreciate the fact that they have vegan options. I ended up ordering the following (about $23 worth of goodies.) Cortado with cardamom vanilla- on my subjective coffee scale that no one asked for I'd say it's pretty good on s scale of "is this even caffeine", to "I'll order another before I leave". The cardamom vanilla was subtle. Noon panir (paneer)- what a sweet and savory treat! Freshly made Id surely order this again as a light snack. The bun b banh mi- one of the sandwiches of the month, this Barbacoa banh mi was certainly an interesting choice. The fried jalepenos and spicy mayo really make the sandwich. Personally, I'm not a banh mi purist, but I was not a fan of their bread choice, I prefer a toasty exterior and pillowy hollowed out interior. Their choice instead too closely mirrors a hotdog bun and overall I felt there was too much bread, Although I would love more flavoring in the Barbacoa, the flavors were nice, and overall this is certainly a unique take on a banh mi. Pro tip for first timers- parking is behind the building in designated spots (don't park in the spots reserved for the paint and body shop).

Yelp
I found this place after a training I had in the area I almost walked past it, I guess you can call it a hole in the wall or better yet a gem in the wall! Strawberry Mango lemonade: really good does it taste too syrupy it's a perfect blend of strawberry and mango not too sweet just right they did their thang on this lemonade!!! The S.W.A.T sandwich: has a little bit of everything! sweet, savory, spicy and salty. It's also got a crunch! the roll is nice and soft, the turkey is seasoned very well I can taste the smokiness of the chipotle but it's not overpowering like other chipotles can be everything inside the sandwich complements each other in such a lovely way. All in All if you're in the 4th ward area this place is worth stopping by ! I know I will definitely will be back to grab a Lavender Ice Latte ! And don't forget to tip! Tori was the one that took my order and she was very pleasant, and gave excellent recommendations !

Yelp
I was working close by and walked over, easy to miss, chill spot, plenty of seating inside, limited seating outside. Bring your doggo's! Because there's water outside for them too!! Chill little spot. Street parking available, coffee is good - but I got a double expresso over ice. This is not Starbucks guys so don't compare! Local coffee shop, check 'em out!
google avatar

Fabian L.

Yelp
I had a $4 Flat White w oak milk. They don't charge extra for oak milk! That's a first for me. It was delicious. Ambience is quiet. Lots of plants and wood furniture. Great customer service. I arrived at 1030am to be fair. Wifi is secure and fast and unlimited, not with a captive portal. Parking is limited and behind the coffee shop, next to the auto window tint shop.

Dale T.

Yelp
I like the vibe of this place, which is right around the corner from home, and the flavor of the drinks has always been good. My consistent disappointment is that the hot milk-based drinks just aren't hot. Usually if I ask for "extra hot," it comes out just barely hot enough. Today my supposedly extra-hot chai latte was not even close--I could have easily chugged it. I asked if it could be microwaved and was told no, and the (polite and kind) barista said they can't make it hotter or they'd burn the milk. I guess I'll just have to stick to cold drinks here and get my hot drinks elsewhere, which is disappointing. On the bright side, we split a Galleria sandwich, and it was filling and tasty.

Yelp
Family owner little coffee shop You can see they take it seriously for their business Nothing fancy but there is soul in the coffee and food They do not have decaf or 2%milk options It was kind of put me off at the beginning but once I got my latte I was like never mind it was rich and full of layers. I love it soooo much. The lady here are nice.

Yelp
I LOVE native coffee! It's so homey and the people that work there are so dedicated to customers it's truly amazing. Their overnight oats are perfection. Not too thick, not too watery with the perfect balance of fruits and best of all...not too sweet! I also really enjoyed my latte which was extra hot and my black coffee. Great space to work on homework!

Kate H.

Yelp
Parking was a hassle , every spot was filled by the auto shop next door. Not entirely their fault but some designated spots for the cafe would be nice Got a strawberry coffee , something i've never tried before but was pleasantly surprised ! Also got a chicken sandwich of some sort which was okay Will say when I needed a togo box it took almost 10 minutes for them to even realize me standing in front of the cash register & more to actually find a box. Love the ambiance inside and out!

Yelp
Cool little coffee shop that's tucked in Fourth Ward area. Indoor and outdoor seating with street parking along the side of the building

Bargavi K.

Yelp
My favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Why? Best music, friendly vibes, amazing coffee(I prefer darker roasts), etc. My go to order is the iced latte with oat milk and a little bit of their cardamom vanilla syrup to sweeten it. Not overly sweet at all. Overnight oats here are so good as well, I get them almost every time without the honey(trust me- it's sweet enough without it!) The service is really fast every time as well. All around, it's a must visit.
google avatar

Akshar P.

Yelp
It felt like I was in someone's home. The music was relaxing and welcoming, environment was full of fresh nature and their perfect pairing of flavors in coffee completed that homie vibe. Owners are friendly, and explain their menu if you have any question as they help you decide what to drink. We got their maple spice and honey latte which were both delicious. It's a hidden gem for sure as I have driven by many times and I'm glad today I stopped by. They have street parking to its side and behind of the coffee shop. Inviting | homie | decor

Marjan G.

Yelp
I loved this place! The ambiance was great. The Cappuccino and the breakfast sandwich were DELICIOUS The owners were friendly and the service was very good. Definitely going back and trying other sandwiches:)
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
They opened their shop five months ago. the staff is super friendly and loves to help you find the perfect drink match. I talk to the worker, and he recommended for something refreshing, the green apple lemonade, the berry lemonade, or the mango lemonade. My friend got the hibiscus and lemonade iced drink, it was really good. The bakery items like large and quality. For my drink it was about six dollars, but you're supporting a local business.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Super cute coffeeshop in the Fourth Ward! I visited Native Coffee today to get some work done. I ordered a latte with oat milk, lavender syrup, and cardamom syrup. It's definitely one of the most delicious and unique latte flavors I've tried! I could actually taste both the lavender and cardamom but it wasn't too overpowering. The coffee was also really nice quality and they use Oatly oat milk (with no additional charge!!) The place is really clean with lots of tables and several outlets available. There's also an outdoor seating area for days when it's not too hot outside. The ambiance was chill with many other customers working/chatting. Dogs are also welcome inside! There were plenty of parking spots available in a lot behind the coffeeshop/autoshop. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back to try more of their drinks and food!
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
Vibe- Super dope new coffee shop in 4th ward/Freedman's Town! If I lived next door, I'd be here every single day lol The concept is all things Houston so there's plenty of pictures on the walls that show the culture of the town. There's about 8 tables inside so plenty of seating room and there's a beautiful outside patio with plenty of seating as well (pet friendly). Customer service- Great! I met the owner and he was super cool, answered all of my questions. Food/drinks- I got an iced chai tea latte, it was delish! Parking- There's a lot behind the building that I saw some cars parked in (I would double check to make sure it's ok to park there). There's also about 4 spots across from that same lot that you can park in.

Chris G.

Yelp
Native Coffee is a local gem. Cozy, no stuffiness here. Super friendly folks and amazing food. Coffee drinks are done right. They are always offering up new and interesting specials. BONUS: they have the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had!
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
it's such a cute little place! We felt so welcomed and the baristas were very helpful and friendly. I got a matcha iced latte with vanilla & rose saffron (shown in video I forgot to take a picture ) but it was so yum! I have to come back and try their food. We sat outside in their patio area and it was shaded.
google avatar

Yelp
Straightforward coffee menu and small coffee shop tucked away on W. Dallas. I decided to get the cardamom vanilla latte on this cold day. The coffee hit the spot and was smooth. It wasn't overly sweet either. They have soft opening hours at the moment but swing by to get some coffee. They have an outdoor patio as well.

Carolina R.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops to go to during my lunch break since it's walkable distance. I love the food, drinks and atmosphere. Employees are amazing and love seeing all the different pups that come in. I also love the American traditional art work on the walls!
google avatar

Liz O.

Yelp
Walked in and was looked at blankly. Other regular patrons were warmly greeted. The weird energy from the female staff continued. I walked up to her and she said "what do you need" no hello, welcome etc. It is extremely tiring as a black women to not be greeted like everyone else when walking into am establishment and when the lack of communication continues and I have to chase you down it's a problem. T& j which same girl made was bread barely coated in sauces. Disappointed. 1 star for inside vibe 1 Star for other staff member and coffee quality
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
This is a solid coffee shop with such a cute outdoor patio. Great for study vibes or a slow weekend morning coffee date. They have some really interesting flavors, we tried to vanilla cardamom latte and maple spice latte, both of which were great! They offer oat milk alternatives. They also have an interesting food menu. We got the SWAT sandwich and it was alright, the bread was too soft and it would have been nice if it were toasted or on a more structured piece of bread. But overall definitely want to come back!
google avatar

Kiara B.

Yelp
We always visit this wonderful spot. Super relaxing, coffees were great as well as the sandwiches, staff, and even customers were friendly. Another thing why I love it here is because they are pet friendly. Our dogs were comfortable every time we went here. See you again guys!
google avatar

Jacob R.

Yelp
I came here in a party of 2 on a Friday afternoon. Great spot for groups of 2-4 people. Parking lot with specific Native Coffee parking spots (5-6 spots). Music not too loud. The lighting was not ideal but overall great spot to meet with a friend and/or get some laptop work done.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
I love coffee. This place definitely does it right. I worked for the largest family owned coffee company in the US, 100 years old, and learned a lot about doing coffee right. Native understands and gets it. Excellent food too. Very nice owner and staff. Arguably best in Htown.

Victoria P.

Yelp
I live right around the corner and this is my go to coffee place. Great staff and ambiance. They have sandwiches that they make in house and breakfast items. Highly recommend from a coffee snob :-)!
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop. Tons of seating, nice patio outside, great sandwiches, great Wi-Fi. Parking isn't super obvious, but there's a lot behind shared with the auto/glass shop.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
The service isn't fast but the staff are knowledgeable and the coffee is well prepared. Perfect when you're not in a rush.
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
First time checking out this coffee shop! Nice cozy vibes for studying. There's some light music in the background, but overall good ambience. The staff is very friendly and gave multiple recommendations. I got the SWAT sandwich based on their recommendation and I enjoyed it. Plenty of parking (they have a lot in the back). Would recommend and will come back again!

Allison R.

Yelp
While it is in a cute location with parking available I wasn't impressed. The coffee shop and staff don't have a very welcoming atmosphere. The cups for coffee are comically small and cost $6.80 and of course you're asked to tip. Overall it was just okay coffee and an okay experience...
google avatar

Alberto M.

Yelp
Quaint little coffee shop near Montrose and the fourth ward. It's a little easy to miss while driving as it's in between two other buildings, but look for the large banner (pictured) with Native Coffee logo on the black fence decorated in vines. Parking is also a little tricky. You go slightly past the coffee shop and turn right at the mechanic/body shop. There's free parking in that large parking lot on the right, despite the parking signs threatening to be towed (confirmed by the employee at Native Coffee). Once you walk in, there's a beautiful patio and inside you'll find a clean, small coffee shop that looks newly renovated. The worker was great and I think I might have spotted the owner in the back working on sandwiches. They have a great menu but went basic and got my usual ice vanilla latte. There's roughly 15 tables and plenty of space when I visited. Only downside is that there were only a few outlets I could spot, but not an issue while I was there. Looked like they had a lot of customers from the neighborhood and a few from the car shop. Definitely check it out!
google avatar

Brooke B.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with a great flat white! Made a stop by here on a Saturday morning to grab a coffee before running around town and was not disappointed. Opted to go for a classic flat white with oat milk and it was perfectly creamy and smooth. I just moved back from Europe and have had a hard time finding a place that does the classics well and this shop was right up there with the best I have had. While I didn't stay to do work, it also looked like a great place for quiet productivity. Will definitely make a stop here again soon.
google avatar

Owen W.

Yelp
Had the special sandwich and it was great. But I was surprised how nice the green apple lemonade was. Service was very hospitable and kind. Will come again and try coffee.

Yelp
Great food. Best grape leaves I've ever had! And the hash brown was so cute - Made in a mini waffle maker. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Cute spot next door to my apartment . I went a grabbed their cardamom and vanilla latte. I added a lil brown sugar when I got home and it was amazing. Definitely worth gon my back
