Party of 4 at 5pm (opening time) service was an A, especially because the chefs and sous chef help serve. In fact, the first part of our meal, it was awesome. The food we ordered; charred Caesar salad,10/10, roasted mushroom toast 10/10, 2 orders roasted beets with whipped goat cheese 11/10, beach like bread and butter for the table , remains consisted of two short rib, mac & cheese, and two Spanish octopus, and here in lies the problem. The octopus was very over cooked and dry and high ruined the whole dish. Also the roasted peppers and paprika, aïoli sauce that needed something to balance the acid in the dish. So as much as we love the dinner, and the service, the octopus was an epic fail.
We will come back again, but I won't order that dish. Not sure if the chef didn't realize that they were dealing with cooked octopus before they put it on the grill
Also, the manager, perhaps owner stands at the entryway and never really walks around engages the guests, and asks about the meals.
We had a guest with us who just recovering from back surgery, so I really didn't have time to return dishes. But certainly would've said something if the manager whoever was on the floor had come over and asked.
Such great food. Overall, it's a shame that the service can't be just a little bit better.
Ambiance; despite the fact that we were there very early and they were many tables open, we were seated in the last booth near the waitress station. Apparently they haven't noticed that this wasn't our first visit. I still say try it it's very possible to order many little small dishes and share.
