Smash Burger Restaurant Gets an Opening Date on the Las Vegas Strip | Eater Vegas

"Opening Monday, July 28 in the Block 16 Urban Food Hall at The Cosmopolitan (near China Poblano), this casual, retro-style spot leans into Las Vegas’s ongoing obsession with smash burgers, serving thin, lacy patties with nearly caramelized edges. The burgers are made from a blend of ground chuck and brisket, seared and topped with lettuce, tomato, and raw onion, plus a citrusy yuzu and sesame oil sauce. The anticipated restaurant will also serve chili-style hot dogs, crispy grilled cheese sandwiches, and seasoned fries tossed in furikake. For dessert, thick concretes come loaded with toppings in nostalgic flavors like Oreo and strawberry shortcake. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Janna Karel

The 7 Most Anticipated Las Vegas Restaurant Openings, Summer 2025 | Eater Vegas

"A dedicated smash-burger concept is arriving at the Cosmopolitan, offering a tight, craveable menu built around thin, crispy-edged patties with caramelized edges, yuzu-sesame sauce, and classic toppings. Expect furikake-dusted fries, grilled cheese sandwiches fried in mayo, chili-style hot dogs, avocado add-ons, and over-the-top ice cream concretes; the fast, flavor-forward smash technique is positioned as both a textural draw and a speedy service advantage, per Cosmopolitan executive chef Mark Crane." - Janna Karel

Naughty Patty’s Pops Up in Las Vegas With Smash Burgers

"A new gourmet smash-burger concept leaning into Vegas-style decadence and kitsch, fronted by a pin-up mascot with a playful "naughty" theme. Before its food-hall debut this summer, it's staging a pop-up at a Strip resort offering complimentary burgers, fries, and a creamy concrete; the one-night event rewards early attendees with spots on the mascot's naughty list and a yearlong free-burger pass. The burger—resulting from significant R&D led by the resort's executive chef—is a potato-roll smash built from a proprietary blend of seasoned ground chuck, brisket, and short rib, finished with a secret sauce that recalls the classic ketchup-mayo-pickle combo and intentionally turned-up flavor profiles. Fries are tossed in a spicy, furikake-like seasoning, and the frozen concretes are loaded with playful toppings such as strawberry shortcake and Oreo and served with color-changing spoons. Overall, the concept is positioned as edgy and indulgent rather than standard fast food." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner

Vegas’s Caviar Cathedral Suddenly Closes After Two Years | Eater Vegas

"A forthcoming burger-focused concept staging a Memorial Day Weekend sneak peek, offering thin-blend smash burgers made from ground chuck and brisket that are smashed until crispy with nearly caramelized edges, topped with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and a citrusy yuzu–sesame oil sauce. The pop-up preview also serves seasoned fries dusted with furikake and ice cream concretes in nostalgic flavors like strawberry and Oreo; as an incentive, the first 25 people in line at the preview were promised free burgers for a year. The concept is positioned to replace the burger void left by a recent closure and is slated to open later in the summer." - Janna Karel

A New Burger Spot Smashes Onto the Las Vegas Strip | Eater Vegas

"Opening this summer at the resort next to the former Holsteins location, the new smash-burger concept will churn out a small menu of burgers with lacy edges, crispy grilled cheese sandwiches, and seasoned fries as the property's only dedicated burger restaurant. The burger version gets a thin patty with nearly caramelized edges, lettuce, tomato, and raw onion, and a citrusy sauce of yuzu and sesame oil; add-ons like avocado will be available. The concise menu will also have a crunchy grilled cheese fried in mayonnaise, hot dogs slathered in a chili-like sauce, and crunchy fries in a furikake seasoning. Ice cream concretes will be offered in flavors like strawberry and Oreo cookie. Mark Crane, the executive chef for the Cosmopolitan, says that smash burgers are here to stay, rather than a short-term trend: "I think people are into it for a while because of the flavor you’re able to generate," he says. "Also the speed that you’re able to turn it around. For us, it takes three minutes [to cook] a patty." - Janna Karel

Google
I've had my share of smashburgers and Naughty Patty's was not good. It lacked flavor. It needed salt and pepper at the very least. The edges weren't crispy as like other spots I've tried. I was disappointed with the fries. I made mines dirty with chili and cheese and it was a slice of American Cheese on top. Not a spot I'd recommend. I think it can be better if they truly made the burgers tasting good.

The food was ok. It wasn’t busy so the burgers didn’t taste fresh off the grill. They tasted like they had been sitting a while and the cheese didn’t appear to be new, but looked like they placed a piece over some old cheese. The ambiance is good because it’s on the second level of the Cosmo. We spent $67 on two burgers, two fries and two waters. Was it worth it? No not to me. I won’t come back because there are too many options. The “special sauce” is horrible. Do yourself a favor and ask for it on the side.

These aren't freshly cooked fries. I simply asked for extra crispy fries. The server took the fries and slammed them in the trash and placed in my bag a new bag of fries that was meant for the next person's order. She made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. I nicely said that I wanted freshly cooked, hot, crispy fries. She completely ignored me and clearly had an attitude. I paid in cash for my food, and if I desired freshly cooked fries, she should have accommodated my request without being unprofessional. Cooking a customer fries a little extra crispy than what they normally do shouldn't have been a problem. Please teach your employees that the customer has the right to ask for what they paid for. You, the employee, don't pay for the product or own the company. Satisfy the customers' reasonable requests. I should have requested a refund. P.S. I dine there the night before and upon request the server did cook me fresh, crispy fries with no problem. Hence, why I returned again for the fries. The staff that worked last night was much nicer. Unfortunately, I will not return as a customer.

I had the burger and a grilled cheese. Both were small but had great taste. Fries were good but the container was about 70% full. Good but over priced. Additional photos located on my profile page and videos on my profile page ( VivaLasVegasX )

I had to try the new burger place at the Cosmopolitan since they closed Holsteins down... Omg... This really hit the spot especially after a heavy night of drinking. I ended up adding an extra Patty on my burger which probably wasn't necessary but it was so good! The burger was flavorful and I went all the way... Definitely a positive addition to Block 16!

I decided to try Naughty Patty's while walking through the Cosmopolitan, curious about this new burger spot. Unfortunately, my experience fell well short of expectations. The main issue was with the burger construction - the patty kept sliding out of the bun, and there was so much sauce that the whole thing became a messy, soggy disaster within minutes of arriving at my table. Despite dining in and receiving the burger fresh off the grill, the structural integrity was poor from the start. At $16 for a single cheeseburger in a premium casino location like the Cosmopolitan, I expected much better quality and execution. The price point sets high expectations, but the product didn't deliver. I've had significantly better cheeseburgers for $10 in Kansas - places that understand how to properly assemble a burger that holds together. For a new restaurant in such a high-profile location, Naughty Patty's needs to work on their fundamentals before charging premium prices. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your burger fix at the Cosmopolitan.

Let's start with this. Its a Good Cheeseburger. Not mind blowing but good. If the meal was $20-$25 I would be moderately satisfied. However I paid $40 for a 2 patty burger meal with basic fries that were good but far from great. When I picked my to go order up from the employee with the name starting with A. I noticed he was far more interested in chatting up his female coworkers then my order. I had zero napkins in my Togo bag for 2 items you eat with hands. When I asked for napkins he told me to find a empty table and fetch them myself. This whole experience feels exactly like whats killing Vegas. Another overpriced money grab gimmick that leaves you feeling taken advantage of. I will not be going back.

Food was amazing the experience surprised us with a thoughtful menu . The staff is so good and helpful with great knowledge of their product. Fries soooo nicely spiced and will not disappoint.

Yelp
Very nice addition to the District.. but larger than the others and that's well deserved. Burgers are great. Next time we will try the grilled cheese and shakes. Kudos to Cosmo for this addition

Yelp
The newest addition to Block 16; we only tried this because Lardo has dropped their Pho'rench Dip sandwich (they said it may come back for Winter and if it does.. go get it now!). Wanting a small snack before our late dinner reservation, we decided to try this. As you would expect here, it's not cheap. The burger alone is $16, you can make it a combo with fries and a drink for $26 total, but if you want to upgrade the drink to beer or concrete (shake), add a few bucks more. So we got the NP Burger as it comes with dressed fries. Wait wasn't too terrible for a fresh smash burger. This didn't hit the spot. Burger was nothing special... it was fine, but this could've been shake shack or in n out at fractions of the price here. I read that some people didn't have hot fries; ours were hot, but even dressed they were tasteless. I had to add salt to them and I NEVER add salt to fries. I will say that the additional seating they added for NPs was nice so there's that, but my recommendation is that if you're eating at Block 16, you can do better, both in taste and value for the price, at Lardo, Tekka, Hattie B's or Bang Bar.

Yelp
Fun concept for a tasty burger, hot dog, grilled cheese, fries, and ice cream. Loved the chili cheese fries, chili is tasty and not spicy. I bet it would be jam packed at nighttime after 10pm. Burger was well done and a nice soft brioche bun. I got mine with no sauce. Easy to find in the block 16 food court area.

Yelp
Nice addition to the cosmopolitan. I loooooved this burgers, wish I lived in Vegas. We got smash burgers and French fries and their famous "make it dirty fries" with not quite chili so tasty. I like their nachos concept, I like place, staff was friendly. Can't wait for next vacation.

Yelp
Strong addition to Block 16 Food Court inside Cosmopolitan. Didn't even know this was here! Located across from Lardo as you're heading towards the Chealsea tower, this spot is at the corner complete with bright lights and added seating! The line to order and pick up food went super fast! Seasoned fries were crispy and fluffy inside while the seasoning wasn't overwhelming. The Burger, at first bite was amazing! Juicy, seasoned well with fresh toppings. $19 for the Combo meal is not bad... plus the cost of bacon! Enjoy!!

Yelp
Not impressed. Burger was not all that good. Lacked flavor, sauce reminded me of a whopper. Price made it taste even worse. Fries were actually good. Save your money there are better burger spots on the strip.

Yelp
Most people are going to complain about the cost but given its location, it is what it is. My issue is with the fries. The menu literally says CRISPY fries and we got a soggy mess. I was excited for crispy fries and what a let down. For this kind of money, at least make the food as advertised!

Yelp
Pretty casual place. Easy to order and food came out fast. The burger was good. I like their in-house root beer and their reusable cups. We were hungry and needed a quick rest, and this hit the spot without all the fanfares.

Yelp
Horrible hamburger extremely salty bland and bun awful. 4 times the price of in/out burger and worst quality imaginable

Yelp
Naughty Patty's was a great place to stop by for lunch! The food was great and the fries were the best part!! They were fresh & hot and just the right amount of crispy!
