LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This Echo Park pop-up-turned-pizzeria is a Neapolitan-style specialist open from 4-10pm. Say its name three times fast, and maybe you’ll catch the 90s hip-hop reference. The “Original Pepperoni Pie” (O.P.P., get it?) comes with basil and optional jalapeños, or you can opt for the Hot-N-Cheesy with four cheeses and hot honey. There’s banana pudding for dessert, too." - Sylvio Martins

Neapolitan Pizza Spot Naughty Pie Nature Opens in Echo Park - Eater LA

"Naughty Pie Nature — a play on the name of ’90s hip-hop group Naughty By Nature — is Echo Park’s newest pop-up gone permanent. The Neapolitan pizza maker starts cranking out pies on Friday, January 19 in the former Slasher Pizza space on Glendale Boulevard near Alvarado. Naughty Pie Nature hails from chef duo Jose Ibarra and Bronwen Kinzler-Britton. The two started their pop-up in early 2023 by making pizzas with playful names including the Wake and Bake pie with mozzarella, cheddar, potato, bacon, eggs, spicy green sauce, and pickled shallots. Also try the Caesar salad, meatball, or banana pudding. Slices are on the menu for walk-ins. Naughty Pie Nature will mostly cater to third-party delivery and takeout, though there is a bit of standing counter space just outside of the eatery. Beginning Friday, Naughty Pie Nature will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 1466 Glendale Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026, with weekend brunch commencing in the coming months." - Mona Holmes

Google
Literal hole in the wall pizza place! But man, their pizzas here are on point! 👉 The pepperoni and thick dough on the Detroit style pizza was amazing! Drizzle some hot honey and ranch jalapeno and it even kicks it up a notch higher. The owner is so friendly and even gave us an extra free thin crust pizza to go. For dessert, the banana bread pudding is so rich and heavenly! It's amazing how the bread on top is not soggy at all. Perfect amount of caramel on top. So decadent! :D There are no tables with chairs to eat if you dine in but if the weather is nice, you can eat at these small shelf tables on the side of the building. No parking lot here but you can easily find street parking around the nearby neighborhood.

Google
PROS: love a small business. Right next door to a dispensary so it's a one-stop shop for a nice night. Folks working there extremely chill. High quality ingredients, excellent pizza (one of the best I've found in LA) with a crisp yet chewy crust. The banana pudding is the best one I've ever had, the caramel takes it to another level. A must get! CONS: everything is spicy, even things that don't say they are, like the Caesar salad has a very spicy Caesar dressing. I like spice but I cant handle it at night (old people problems) so it was a little bit of a bummer not to know ahead of time. Consider this a takeout place. They do have a couple of small tables but they are not super practical.

Google
Found this little gem by searching Pizza Near Me. Visiting family, I decided to walk up and order us a pizza. The owner mentioned the Pepporoni is the top seller. We went with it. Very, very good to our liking. Well done on the crust, sauce and cheese. Definitely will do this again and again! Very kind owner. I went mid afternoon on a Saturday so it wasn't overwhelmingly busy. She also gave some hot honey to try with our pizza. Yum!

Google
One of the best pizza spots in Los Angeles, you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu! My personal favorites are the squares and vodka pasta... pro tip, never skip out on there banana pudding!

Google
Nothing negative to say here. Serving: quality. The crust was thick and crispy and generous and perfectly balanced with all toppings. I got the pepperoni slice. Fresh basil at the end, perfectly Tangy marinara, great pepperoni and cheese. I asked for some evo at the end, got served with a beautiful olive oil. Nothing to say. I will Be back for more, immaculate pizza job here!

Google
The bread is crispy and soft. The sauce and cheese quality and taste are phenomenal. The ingredients they’re using is far more superior to your average pizza joint. You can tell the ingredients is more natural, with no additives. All fresh homemade ingredients from scratch. The price is a steal for what they’re serving. I’d give it a 9.0 easily. They give you 6 high quality delicious pizza slices for $20. How can you say no? The best pizza in LA I’ve tasted so far

Helen

Google
A Hidden Gem for pizza in Echo Park! I stumbled upon this pizza spot by chance, and it’s now my go-to for pizza cravings. I’ve tried their cheese, pepperoni and vodka slices. And oh my god! Phenomenal—crispy on the outside, delightfully chewy on the inside, and topped with the freshest ingredients. 5/5.

Google
Best pizza in LA hands down, these guys are artists. Glad it's still a secret. Their Caesar salad is insane perfect, if you are a fan of that style salad, your mind will be blown. Michelin needs I wake up.

Yelp
Silverlake has some strong pizza options, Naughty Pie Nature is a great little shop serving big flavor. What Did We Order? Pizza Square Slices: - Vodka 5/5 - Pepperoni Hot Honey 5/5 - Pepperoni Italian Sausage 5/5 Sauce. 5/5 stars Toppings Amount: 5/5 stars Cheese Quality: 5/5 stars Crust: 4/5 stars Bonus: They add basil on the pizza, it's on there automatically, it's a beautiful touch. It's like leaving a little note saying "I thought about you today" to the tastebuds. The squares are served semi thick crust, but not heavy at all. It reminded me of a joint, Nancy's in Chicago, crisp bite, soft squares. Run down: The crust on the slice I had came in slightly over charred on one of the sides but it was just my luck of the draw. Overall: It's a casual neighborhood pizza joint. Silverlake is very lucky to have such a good one. Order at the window at the corner of the building (hit the doorbell and they'll take care of you). Jose was there for us today and he's a great dude. He's a pro, he blessed us with the hot honey drizzle on the side. 4 stars overall. First time trying this joint and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Coming for a pie of the Vodka! Walk Up - Window Seating - None Wait Time - Average Service - Excellent Price is Right

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza shop in L.A. The pizza here is reasonably priced, especially compared to other places that charge close to $30 for a whole pie. You can really tell the owners take their time and care when it comes to making their food. This place proves you don't need a fancy sit-down to get a great slice of pizza.

Yelp
Was having people over for the Super Bowl and came across this place, the menu looked interesting so I decided to give it a try. And I'm so happy I did! Placed my order online early in the morning and had plenty of options for when I wanted to pick up the pizza. Showed up and the pies were hot and ready to go. Ordered two pizzas: Tipsy Tomato and Candy Manny. The Tipsy Tomato was made with house vodka sauce, chili oil, basil, mozzarella and ricotta. One of my friends opened the lid and said she didn't want to eat it, it was too pretty. Presentation was great, not going to lie. Being that we eat with our eyes first, this definitely passed the eyeball test. As far as taste, you get a little bit of everything with each bite, and the flavors played well together. With the Candy Manny, you have mozzarella, tomato, pepperoni and ricotta with a calabrian hot honey on top. So you get that saltiness from the pepperoni missed with the sweetness of the honey, but a little heat comes through with the calabrian chili.... just a wonderful bite! Overall, such a great find and a phenomenal addition to the pizza scene in Los Angeles. Plus the riff on Naughty By Nature is a huge is. Pizza and Hip Hop, say less!

Yelp
I walked by this place and was curious to try it out so I ordered a square pepperoni pizza and it was actually good. The basil is a nice touch on their pizza. I added hot honey to it, which gave it a nice kick. It came out in four minutes and they were friendly.

Yelp
Good pizza and the people are super nice! I got a NY style pizza, specifically the Hot-N-Chessy. Perhaps 3-5 minutes after placing my order, I realized I wanted the pizza done Madden's Way. When I went up to the counter, I apologized and asked if it was possible to modify the pizza a little bit. When I reached out for my credit card to pay for the extra toppings, the worker told me to not worry about it with a huge smile on their face. This level of customer service where they go above and beyond, even when the customer made the mistake, means so much. Sometimes a rude worker can really ruin your meal and the opposite here was true! I love supporting small local businesses like this! Anyway, the pizza itself was delicious. I highly recommend giving them a try! The photo I took is unfortunately after the pizza cooled down, so it's not as flattering. But let me tell you, even a cold slice was pretty dang good!

Yelp
Stopped by while I was in the area and grabbed a Pepperoni square slice with Hot Honey, Vodka Square slice, and Pepperoni square slice with sausage. It's a cool little corner spot with no inside area, you order at the door/window and you also pick up your order from that same door/window. Took a little over 10 minutes for the slices to be ready, enough time to walk into the dispensary next door and grab some goodies . The hot honey was a nice touch, every time hot honey is available It's a necessity on top of the pepperoni slice. Overall 4/5, not really a fan of how toasted the crust was but overall I'd order again, overall favorite was definitely the hot honey pepperoni slice, come stop by and try it! Would recommend and would definitely come back but I'd order a full pie so the slices aren't so thick!

Yelp
I had the food delivered but omg this pizza was so good. I added hot honey a whoaaaaa it took it to a whole Nother level. Sooooo great
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
The pizza here is outstanding! I suggest calling in your order to avoid a weight if you are looking to purchase a whole pizza or more. They sell by the slice at the window as well. We tried several of their pizzas and enjoyed all of them. The candy Manny was my favorite, cowboy candy. They are so friendly and welcoming here, the pizza is perfectly executed with the delicious dough and high-quality toppings. Highly recommended!

Yelp
What a great little gem in the Silverlake area. Been following them on IG and my first visit did not disappoint. Ordered the Cosmo based on the owner's recommendation and it was spot on. Really well balanced, perfect amount of heat, and the crust was crispy with a tender bite. So so good. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Searched yelp to find this spot and was pleasantly surprised. I got the vodka slice and the taste was amazing. The square slice had a great crunch with a slightly airy texture. The vodka sauce was seasoned very well. The only con to this slice was the consistency of the stracciatella. Next time I would ask for less or omit it entirely. 8.5 out of 10!
google avatar

Yelp
What a gem tucked away in Echo Park! Quite literally the best whole in the wall pizza in the area. As a girl from New Jersey, I know good pizza, and this is good pizza. We met the owners too! The service was delightful and we loved how fresh the ingredients were. There's not much seating, but that's part of the charm. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had the pepperoni pie. DELISH.
google avatar

Steve P.

Yelp
Only for Square Slice: it was ok, its a thick, slightly dense crust which is not my fav square slice style. Vodka sauce was incredible though. Would come back but first slice didnt blow me away
google avatar

Yelp
Happy Pizza bites naughty pizza lovers! I didn't realize this pizza joint was down the street from my abode. I love pizza and decided to force my friend by bending his arm to try. It hurt so he caved in. I'm an East-coaster sooooooo....THOUGHTS: good pizza, good service, hole in the wall, yum...crust/bread could have a touch more flavor..but overall....i ordered the OPP and I was down wit it.

Yelp
Update to my last review: I love this place! The food and customer service is outstanding. Jose, one of the owners, once hand delivered this pizza to me when I sick. He sat by my bed and hand fed me while reading me a story. When I was done, he tucked me in, and locked all of the doors. If that isn't customer service I don't know what is!

William W.

Yelp
Great neighborhood walk up window. Quick with pick up, Thin crust with wonderful menu.
google avatar

Jacqueline A.

Yelp
I've gotten the pizza delivered several times now. The pizza is really good and the ceasar salad is bomb with a little bit of spice and actually anchovies. This is our go to pizza now.
google avatar

Ralph B.

Yelp
The LA pizza wars rage on! Here you can get a thick and crispy grandma slice or a whole Neapolitan pizza. Both are fantastic! The prices are reasonable and service is super quick. This is now in my regular pizza rotation!
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Okkkk I don't usually do reviews (you can check my profile) BUT let me say that this is probably one of the best pizzas I had in my recently turned 28 years of life, this was in fact SCRUMPTIOUS. We got the candy manny and the whole time it was absolute silence because we were sHHHmackin. 10/10 no notes, can't wait to be back
google avatar

Hi H.

Yelp
My favorite pizza spot in the area and really better than all the other spots. The tomato sauce is delicious! I love everything here so good ! I highly recommend this spot. Quick and easy pick up window.
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. Interesting menu. Pickup order ready on time. Friendly service. Small parking lot just past the mural on Scott.

Haley G.

Yelp
I've came here a few times now and I can say slices and whole pizzas never disappoint. This place is one of the best pizzas you can find in LA! The service is fast and they are very friendly. The banana pudding is another must try and their jalapeno ranch is the best, it isn't too spicy either just the perfect combination!
google avatar

Jasmine B.

Yelp
I am a fan of deep dish and pie like pizza. The crust was very unique and flavorful. This was my first time having a pizza crust that overshadowed the toppings. The wait was pretty short around 20 minutes and the service was great. We got two slices and I actually preferred the cheese to the pepperoni. The slices did not look very appetizing, but tasted pretty good.
google avatar

Jonathan H.

Yelp
Before the pizza review... these are some of the coolest, most accommodating people I've had the pleasure to meet. Always caring, doing their best, and with a smile. My kids and I go and treated such as kings. We sit outside or eating standing. Now the pizza. It's bad ass killer and easily one of the best in LA at its style. Do not sleep on the Banana Pudding and definitely not on the square vodka sauce pie! Go there now.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Pizza!! I've been a customer since their pop up days and super excited they have their spot finally!! I will be here every week! Their best pies are....WAKE N BAKE !! And Hot n Cheesy Honorable mention....cosmo and the opp Banana pudding is amazing as well must try!! Love this place and the owners

Ian R.

Yelp
Had the Candy Manny and Tipsy Tomato, both amazing and delicious. The Candy Manny has a unique and dynamic sweet and spicy flavor, I highly recommend, haven't had anything quite like it before. The banana pudding is also incredible, cant wait for them to come out with more desserts.

Krista ..

Yelp
Love the pizza here! Got the honey on the side and put it on the O.P.P. myself. We also tried the tipsy tomato and the vodka sauce was so good! The dough to the pizza was so fresh and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Emi G.

Yelp
Pie-style thick, soft squares Inventive outdoor seating concept Zero wait Zingy pepperoni Amazing!! First time trying this new pizza joint and was super satisfied! Order at the window at the corner of the building (it's basically connected to the dispensary) and eat outside at their fold-out tables or outdoor tables (they didn't have it out yet). We got the pepperoni squares, cheese pizza square, and fun guy (fungi) square. The crust was crunchy and chewy and two pieces were very filling for me!! Would love to try a full pizza next time. Reminds me of pizza in NYC! Sending good vibes and fortune to the owners.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Vegan pizza!!!! Wonderful staff, surprising quick turnaround and consistently delicious. My new go to!

Albert I.

Yelp
It's good pizza. Please include the size of your pizzas on your website. How would I know if I'm getting a 12 or 18 inch pizza?

Lawrence S.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of thick-crust pizza but Naughty Pie Nature has changed my mind. This is exceptional pizza. Hand-crafted, pillowy light bread with a tangy, rich sauce and plenty of pepperoni. I've only gotten the slices and haven't tried the whole pizza yet but I'm sure it's good.
google avatar

Tomer M.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. Great personal service by owner. The kids love the cheese pizza and pepperoni, The parents craving the mushroom. Also the Caesar salad is amazing and Lots of other options.

Darren C.

Yelp
This order was for delivery. I ordered the candy Mandy, Morty Mcfly, and a Caesar salad. Let's start with the Caesar. Good portion size, I appreciated that the salad was not dressed. If it was it could get soggy and the breadcrumbs won't not be crunchy. Well done! Morty Mcfly was utterly delicious! Candy Mandy surprised me, I'm usually skeptical of pizzas with hot honey but the proportions were spot on and all the flavors worked with each other. The flavor of the dough was great, little bit of char on the bottom was appreciated, little chewy for my preference but these are some damn tasty pizzas! Going to pick up next time ! Bravo naughty pie nature, bravo
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Just had some yummy food from these guys! The special slice of the day was spectacular. It was a sweet and spicy pepperoni and candied jalapeño slice ( which was plenty big enough for me). Topped it off with some amazing banana pudding! The pudding was light and fluffy and the whole thing was set off with an amazing caramel drizzle.
google avatar

Helen A.

Yelp
We tried the pepperoni slice and I couldn't even contain myself I was already digging in before I realized I wanted to take a picture. A wonderful pizza and a hidden gem in Echo Park. The pizza is crunchy on the outside and perfect chewy on the inside.
google avatar

Peyton H.

Yelp
Really delicious pizza. My food was done promptly and they were really sweet : ) Would love to bring friends back here some time

Stella L.

Yelp
Was excited about trying out NPN based on reviews, my appreciation for puns & 90's R & B... however was incredibly disappointed. Pizza crust was burnt which sadly overshadowed any potential flavor of the Stellarita (margherita) pizza. Would not recommend.

Natalie L.

Yelp
Seriously incredible pizza. In a neighborhood saturated with pizza, Naughty Pie stands out amongst the rest. Do not sleep on this place. Every pie we've had has been so, so delicious. Crust is phenomenal, sauce is great. The owners are SO sweet and kind. The banana pudding is the best I've ever had. Our new favorite spot!
google avatar

Hilary K.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, I ordered from this place because the name made me laugh. But honestly, this is maybe the best crust I've ever had. I usually don't even eat the crust!
google avatar

Aleksander M.

Yelp
Service was great, but I thought the cheesy cheese pizza had tomato sauce and it didn't, and I didn't really like it at all. wonder if the other pizzas are better. I should have asked them to switch the pizza :(

Julia K.

Yelp
The best pizza I've had in LA (and that means a lot coming from the NY/NJ area). I'm beyond shocked this place doesn't have wildly long lines. Try the Candy Manny if you're looking for something amazing.
google avatar

Suki E.

Yelp
Pizza slices are yummy and filling. The pasta special is so amazing, nice blend of sauce and cheese with the fresh basil is so delicious I could eat it everyday. Great service, too.
google avatar

Courtney A.

Yelp
Never have I ever had pizza in Cali that was up to par with pizza from Italy. & don't get me started on their banana pudding... i'm drooling just thinking about it.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
This place is so on point , couldn't ask for a better pie , the little side door next to the tree shop just feels special when you walk up the little spice painted on the ground the staff just amazing if you live within an hr you gotta hit it
google avatar

Geoffrey G.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza I've had in LA. Drive by it one weekend and decided to grab a slice. Went back the very next day and decided to get two pies that did not disappoint. Highly recommend this spot for pizza. Super friendly and extremely tasty sauce / dough. As you know it's all about the sauce and the dough.

Sam J.

Yelp
Yummy Neapolitan pizzas! Tried the cosmo and enjoyed it. Will be back to try more for sure. Small but complete menu. Pizza, Cesar salad, and something sweet if you need it. I would say 2 pizzas for 3 people is about right. Decent value compared to slasher which it's replacing. They have outdoor seating only, so okay place for dog owners.

Justin H.

Yelp
Omg the best pizza in town! Their mushroom pizza is *chefs kiss* Love the char they have on their crusts and creative menu!
google avatar

Jay F.

Yelp
Bomb pizzas, nice couple, low-key vibes. Wake n' Bake fills my universe with joy. Don't sleep.
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
Great pizzas, there are several famous and not so famous spots to choose from in Echo Park for a pizza pie, including the of course Two Sheets, But for my money plus no crazy line. This is my go to. Nice crust and you can see they put love in their pies. Oh and if they have it try the banana pudding!

Robert J.

Yelp
I only got slices, but I felt they could've been more crunchy for square slices. Flavors were on point though and I'd try again. Had their own ranch that had some kick to it as well.
