NB Wing Wong

My boyfriend and I ate here after the Lunar New Year Parade. They were packed yet accommodating. This was our first time and the food was delicious. I got the beef pan fried noodles and he got the roast pork over rice. We were both glad with the meal and happy we checked out this place.

Grabbing takeout lunch from NB Wing Wong is absolutely amazing and fulfilling. The meats and rice are of the highest quality, and the service never fails to bring a smile. Chinese BBQ is definitely the way to go!

Traditional Cantonese food, excellent flavors and good portions in this no frills, hole in the wall restaurant. They'll have your typical Chinese American dishes, but the Cantonese tastes from noodles, fish/seafood, and especially the roasted and BBQ meats are delicious. Bring cash, it's Chinatown!

Great small hole in the wall Cantonese restaurant with Cantonese barbecue! Note, place is open very early for Chinatown around 8 or so and such they close by around 8pm or so. I went with 2 friends and ordered 4 dishes- fried flounder, sweet and sour pork chops, stir fried Chinese broccoli and beef and stir fried eggs with shrimp. Portions are huge and service is fast and the food is great. Bathroom is downstairs so not really wheelchair friendly. Take out and dine in are both available.

If you enjoy Cantanese food then I highly recommend NB Wing Wong for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My dad is 90 years old and travels by subway for take-out here at least once a week. Also, I give it a 5-star for value. Can get a tasty meal here for under $10 before tax/tip.

We had pork with pickle cabbage soup and shrimp and crab meat soup dumplings. They are the best soup dumplings and pickled cabbage soup tasted so authentic! Love it so much. I want to go back again. I rated service 3 because they don’t take credit card. I ended up had to take our $ from ATM and pay the fees. The waiters also wait around right behind your back to clean up. So, you can’t sit around in this place. Once you’re done eating, get out! lol The place is clean and it’s just a busy place.

By far my favorite place to get Chinese. Great food, great prices (more food for less than a Chipotle bowl), and super chill spot. But be warned, only cash. No cards.

The cantonese food here is just amazing!! Great size portions and the flavors are just out of this world! Came here with my friends and it will not be the last! Definitely check out this place when your in the Chinatown area!

Comfort Chinese food for an incredibly affordable price. We had 3 dishes and a tea for around $22. We were stuffed and struggled to finish the food. This is your typical Chinese/Cantonese eatery. Very casual and just meant for a quick stop. There's bbq meats hanging in the heated meat locker and a few simple tables to eat at. A ton of to go orders and the local community coming to get their 1-2 lbs of bbq meats to use for their home cooked meals at home.

The chicken leg was amazing. I thought I had really good chicken leg before but this was so tender and juicy. The ones in the soup was not as good.

This is a cash only spot. NB Wing Wong is the same price and has portion sizes as hay hay roasted (my fav ever) but the meat quality at hay hay is by far better.

NB Wing Wong was my first stop in NYC for several reasons; they are known for their roast duck jook (congee) and the wok hay of their dry beef chow fun, both these elements are hard to find anywhere on the west coast. I ordered waaay too much food ,but since the hotel had a mini fridge, all the leftovers were packed to go and I gave them away to a local friend the following day. Starting with the roast duck jook, the bowl was huge and completely loaded with duck. The best part was the flavor of the jook tasted as if it had been made by someone's grandma who knew how to cook! Using just a bit of white pepper enhanced this dish even more for those who want a bit more warmth. I was so happy to see that they had donut sticks that I ordered one to dip into the jook. Even though it was gigantic, I still managed to eat half of it just because it was perfectly chewy and savory, just as I remember them to be. This is another thing I don't see on the west coast and I once sent friends on a wild goose chase trying to find one while I made jook at home. The classic shrimp with lobster sauce had GIGANTIC prawns that were perfectly cooked and very addictive. I came for the wok hay in the dry beef chow fun and it did not disappoint! The beef was tender without too much tenderization, and the noodles were not too greasy while still not clumpy. Wok hay is the flavor of the wok that gets imparted into the food, and the obviously well seasoned woks they use added that elusive flavor to this dish to give it a savory smoky seasoning that is impossible to describe other than to say you know when you taste it that this was not made in a brand new wok. They even make their own chili oil! It was a rare treat to get homemade chili oil served in a restaurant. I had to get some gai lan in garlic, and even the stalks were tender! I loved their food so much, I ordered take out the morning of my flight they open at 8am) for my flight home, roast duck and rice (which came with cabbage) and baby bok choy. Everyone on the plane, including the stewards, was eyeing the food on my flight home ;)

We've been ordering takeout congee from this place now that the weather is colder. Their congee is definitely a hidden gem of an item. For about $7 to $8 you can have a large container of congee that will feed two people. It has the correct consistency, and good broth base. Make sure to ask for white pepper on the side.

Cash only, the owner looked at me as I caused him pain to pick up the food. After reading so many good reviews then ate bad food, maybe I called in when the cook was taking a smoke break and forgot about the salt and other ingredients. I got a $18 seafood fried noodle, the "gravy" was so bland and flavorless simply mixed water with starch, I always watch my salt intake for blood pressure then had to dump two mini packs of salt( wish I had more) from two utensils sets I got somewhere else to make it eatable. The broth had few pieces of squid, fish, artificial fish tofu and 2 pieces of scallops and gai lan. The squid and fish tasted fresh, I took a bite of a scallop it was sour, spit out immediately, didn't wanna get food poisoning in the hotel while traveling for work. You would only need to make one mistake to ruin your business. As someone who is Chinese ate in NYC Ctown for over a decade, I would say stick to the classic establishments around like Shanghai 21, Hop Kee, they are not perfect but they are better than this one, or it was just my bad luck.

Incredible. Great eats at a decent price point for Chinatown. Portion sizes are great and the service is fast if you keep the attention of the waiter. Beware that this place is cash only and be aware the soups are portions for 3-4 people. I highly recommend the spring rolls, general tso's and spare ribs. The fried beef chow fun was also out of this world. Definitely a great local spot next to a very well known tourist hot spot.

Food is only social! My hubby ordered chicken legs & roast pig over rice portions is big but a bit cold. I ordered the congee doesn't taste that good and it's too thick for me. The fried dough is also thick and not that fresh. Service is nice and sincere. Decor doesn't look that clean but it's one of those old style Chinese restaurant can't expect too much.

Nb Wing Won mg makes staple Chinese dishes in the heart of Chinatown. When you walk in, there is roasted duck and pork hanging in the window. Upon sitting down, you are served warm water to start helping digestion. We ordered Bok Choy (Chinese Cabbage) and 53- Combination of Roast Pork, Roast Duck, and Spare Ribs. Mmm delicious! All of the meats were great. I preferred the roast duck the most. The Bok Choy was delicious and complimented meat. It loses one star because the meat was a little dry. Other than that, strongly recommend, and I certainly would go back again! Tip: It's cash only and the ATM has a hefty $8 service fee. Bring your dollar bills!

Another review drew me with speak of wok hay and tender beef in their Chow Fun. It's true! The pork in the lunch plate piled with a nice big mound of rice was tender and tasty too. Good bang for your buck. Cash only. Roast Duck - $10 appetizer portion was delicious although they serve it cold. Don't expect waiters in matching jackets or linen table cloths, but do count on seeing mostly locals enjoying what I consider very good Cantonese eats . So glad I tried this new place (for me) in C-Town.

Their bowl of wontons is very, very satisfying. It's comfort food, so nothing fancy, but this restaurant does it very well, and it's a pleasure every time.

This was next to the restaurant we wanted to eat at with a 4 hour wait (joes Shanghai) so we ate here instead. Very mediocre restaurant with nothing to write about that encourages you to come as a destination. You may stumble here in Chinatown if there were no better options or you are specifically in the mood for average regular Chinese food that you can also find elsewhere. Not the worst restaurant but I'm not coming back. We came with a party of 8 and left with 8 full but unsatisfied customers.

As someone from Hong Kong, I was looking for a place that served one of the dishes I craved the most - bbq pork and roasted duck rice. This place hit the spot for me, and I would say it is worth it for $8 because the meal portion was also quite large. Since this is considered "Chinese fast food", the food also came out really quickly. The service was pretty average, nothing really noteworthy. One thing I wished they had was more drinks! It would be perfect if they served HK milk tea because it's a great pairing with any cantonese food. Besides that, it's a solid place.

I rate this a 3 because the bathroom is WET! But the service is very fast and speedy it's very convenient and the food is good!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while shopping near Canal St. Husband and I like duck so we had to come in when we saw the roast ducks hanging by the window. I was delighted to see Ginger scallion lobster in the menu. It's a favorite of my mom's and I and my husband had never tasted it before. Needless to say, he absolutely loved it, said it was the best style of cooked lobster he's had. The roast duck was also prepared very well. I thought it was a bit dry, the sauce paired well with it however. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating. Place inside is a bit utilitarian and has a take-out feel. I'd come back for the food though.

This is classic Chinatown at its best. Good service, quick and tasty food. Unassuming seating. No rush and great value. I bring my kids here before lunch all the time, as it's not crowded and the food is like when I was a kid. Looking for homey food, come here! Won't be dissapointed!

Some people say they have great Chinese bbq meats but I found it to be so so. Meat lacked flavor and they skimp on the portion of meat. Overrated and there are better places

Delicious and affordable food that serves the BEST beef brisket wonton noodle soup, congees, beef noodle, and salt and pepper pork chop. Ask for chili oil, it is house made! The wontons have shrimp inside and they are huge! If you don't want beef brisket you may just get wonton noodle soup. The soup is PHENOMENAL. All the congees (porridge) are SO good. Try the salty pork with century (black eggs) or the seafood congee. You can get the sweet fried dough in the side which is a great dip. There is regular deep fried dough too! The stir fry beef flat noodle dish is so yummy and authentic. One dish is enough to share amongst 3-4 people. I always get it when I am here! The salt and pepper pork chop is the best here! It is an entree so order a side of rice. So good and not too salty! Very flavorful and perfectly fried! We occasionally get dimsum and they have shrimp rice noodle or the fried dough rice noodle. It is mainly served in the morning during breakfast time. You could still get it in the early afternoon but it may be cold. There is roast pork, duck, and chicken available! Kind staff! Casual and clean environment!

The food was good with the beef being very tender and the noodles is very slurpable. The service was great as we were seated very quickly. The lights were great too as it was not too dark or bright.

This place is known for their meats, but I came here to get some congee one afternoon. For two people we ordered one congee (liver and meatball), sweet fried dough, shrimp rice roll, and beef and egg rice. The food is pretty good a nd the portions are decently sized. I thought the dishes were going to be a lot smaller but the two of us could not finish the rice dish that we ordered. It gets pretty busy in the afternoon as everyone is trying to get the meat from the front

Don't sleep on the roast meats here! As much as I love the nearby Wah Fung, the cha siu at NBWW can sometimes be better (depending on the day, lol). Soft, chewy, perfectly charred. Really fresh and no crazy lines. This spot is also super reliable for other Cantonese dishes like beef chow fun and Singapore chow mei fun. The huge portion of noodles can be split into at least 2-3 different meals if you're not sharing. For only $10/order that is beyond worth it.

First time in NYC so of course had to visit Chinatown! We were getting hangry and meandered into this fine establishment. Greeted at the door, the host verifying vaccine status, then a smile and a guide to our seat. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, general chicken and fried rice. Honestly some of the best Chinese I've had. My daughters enjoyed it thoroughly as well. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

No frills - everything is served on disposable wares. Guess they've externalized the cost of having to store and wash dishes. BUT the beef tendon stew is lusciously tender. And you can be in and out like me (12pm Friday) or sit around and flap your gums like the older couple seated next to me. Glad I stopped in here. It's been a minute since I've been to Chinatown and it was nice to be called pretty boy again even as I push well into my 40s. (Your experience may differ if you aren't Chinese. Not in a bad way; this restaurant to me feels cozy. Like what, getting a slice of pie and cuppa joe at some small town lunch counter? Your mileage will vary. Anyway It's nice to have the shoe on the other foot once in a while.)

Very good comfort food in NYC Chinatown. Had the won ton soup and mapo tofu and they tasted great. Felt and tasted very homey. Good for rainy weathers

Forget Noodletown and their lousy service and rude waiters. Go here for great tasting roast pork and duck. They will make any combination of meats with noodles or rice. Guy at register is friendly and will recommend dishes if you're not sure what to order. Don't be intimidated seeing only Asians here - it's authentic and best of all they give you a lot of great food for good prices! Who needs new decor and ambiance - just give me good food for my money!

No frills, good food. The wait for Joe's Shanghai was too long so we decided to go here, absolutely no regrets. Shrimp cheong fun was delicious and only $3. I actually had a dream about it. The service was so fast I got whiplash. Fried rice was yummy too. Everything is served in disposable plates and utensils, not a plus- just stating facts. I'll be back for the beef tendon stew.

Came here for a quick lunch. Ordered their duck noodle soup. Does not fail to impress. One of my favorite places in Chinatown.

Quick pick me up after walking 9miles around the city. With our feet aching made an appointment to a reflexology joint and saw NB wing wong. I recall walking by to this spot last year for their crispy duck but ended up going next door for dumplings. Came in looking for a quick bite. Had their shrimp and pork dumplings and shrimp fried rice. Perfect within 10mins food came and devoured. Need I saw more?

Comical name of NB Wing Wong but the food here is classic Cantonese. On point roast duck and pork. Stewed beef tendon was great and the crispy fried noodles were not greasy and spot on taste. Even the diminutive roast duck noodle delivered a good punch. The food courts in Flushing looks promising but failed to deliver miserably. Good to know there are still good places downtown. Would come back here again.

NB Wing Wong is a franchise of Big Wong. I was excited because Big Wong is my childhood. Inside, it was really busy. The staff seemed to be short-handed because they barely had any time to breathe. They were constantly bringing food out to customers. I ordered the char siu noodles and beef churng fun (rice rolls). The food took a long time to come out and the server gave the table next to us our rice roll. The lady at the table next to us used her chopsticks to move the beef rice roll to take a closer look at it before telling the server that it's the wrong dish. The server then checked the order and moved the rice roll from their table to ours. I'm a little shocked because the lady touched it with her chopsticks, but she hadn't used her chopsticks yet because they didn't have any food yet. I also didn't want to delay eating any longer. Not long after, our char siu noodles came out. The char siu was really salty. I ended up eating most of the noodles and just a little bit of char siu.

Great authentic Cantonese food and super fresh and fast! Feels like the old Wong Wong on Mott St. but newer.

Good Cantonese style restaurant. They serve dim sum in the morning, standard rice and noodle dishes for lunch, and a full Cantonese dinner menu in addition to their all day selection of roast meats. Prices are affordable and portions generous. Their roast pork and roast duck are both nice and fatty. The salted fish and chicken fried rice has tons of flavor. One if my go to places for takeout.

Was craving some char siu for weeks, but Wah Fung's line is a joke these days so I came across this spot has a decent second option within the area. Stopped my this afternoon and everyone in the shop has a mask and gloves. Service was quick and the food is reasonably priced. Roasted pork and duck over rice - The pork had a nice balance of fat on it, but the meat was on the dryer side. The duck, on the other-hand, was juicy and really good. The chili oil was the kicker and was the cherry on top of the meal. Overall - Affordable, generous amounts, and tasty. This spot is well worth your time, if you're craving roasted meats and are in the area.

At any other time this restaurant the typical Cantonese food, but since COVID they have been only selling BBQ meats. I got the roast duck and the crispy roast pork. You can choose to have a fatty or leaner cut for the roast pork. I chose the latter for mine. The roast pork was decent, not the best but does the job. The meat isn't hard and is not as firm as some places. I went in the afternoon and lugged it home to Queens, so the skin was starting to get chewy and not crispy. The roast was delicious! There was a lot of meat and not too much fat. You can choose to get half a duck or the whole thing.

My family and I believe in supporting small local businesses all the time. But this recent visit to NB Wing Wong has been terrible sister! My sister inlaw purchased half a roasted duck from them for dinner. When she got home and began eating the roast duck she discovered that her order were missing parts of the half duck and had an additional eleven (11) pieces of duck neck in it, which filled up 1/3 of the order. For a business to pull a shady stunt as such is disgraceful. There is no excuse as to how eleven (11) pieces of duck neck got into an order of half a roast duck. Dishonest businesses as such should not be patronized. I understand business is slow and barely surviving, but don't cheat the customers. I grew up eating their food when they were Wing Wong...a place that use to serve good food resorted to such tasteless business tactics.

$9 for a filling portion of roast pork, roast pig, roast duck over rice! Can't beat that. The service here was super fast and polite. The staff brought us hot tea (much appreciated on this cold winter day) as soon as we sat down. The food came out quickly and was tasty. Cash only! (There is a Bank of America right next to the store.)

Today just drop by to order some "friendly comfort food" yet taste good enough..not salty nor oily will go back again ..thank you

I stopped by Chinatown yesterday driving around trying to find a new place to try during the covid times. Luckily I came by this place which was still opened at around 6:30pm. Because of the time, the kitchen in the back was closed but they at least have noodles selections and cooked meat for sale. So I got the wonton noodle soup while my wife got the fat rice noodle with roast pork. We also picked up a portion of squid and soy chicken. While the food we acquired was very simplistic in nature, the flavors were spot on and it just hit that sweet spot after scouring for a place yesterday. They packed everything very well and separated the noodle and protein from the soup itself. Definitely worthwhile to try and you won't be dissappointed.

Tried this place after seeing a post about them on social media. The menu is extensive and on a Sunday afternoon, there were lots of Chinese families in there having lunch which is a good sign. I ordered the duck leg and wonton noodles which is my go to comfort food. The wontons were pretty tasty with pork and shrimp, but the duck was a bit bland. Overall, it's good but I've had better at places like Big Wong or Great NY Noodletown.

Had the beef pan fried noodles. I have to admit they give you a good amount of food. I couldn't finish my order. There was a ton of beef where usually in other restaurants you don't get enough. I am definitely coming back and the prices are comparative to most Chinese restaurants in Chinatown.

This place has one of the best original tasting roast bbq meats in NYC. The roast duck and roast pork taste very much like the flavors from the original Big Wong I grew up eating as a kid. The service is great, the lady inside is very nice and is always willing to give you more sauce when asked. I also ordered their Beef Chow Fun with gravy, yummy!!

Due to Cov19 many places have been closed. Was craving for some Chop and Go food. This place was open! We Called them to place a takeout pickup order. Gave my name and told them we will be there to pickup food in 30 mins. We order Crispy Roast Pig, Half of Duck, 1lb of CharSiu and Half Soy Sauce Chicken. Note: Need to order Rice. If you want. When I arrived I Had a Piece of Paper with my name, telephone and what I ordered. The Cashier wave me to the back pointed at my packed and told me my total. IT IS CASH ONLY..... Currently..... After I paid I took my food and Went home. We have Chinese ColdCut for a week... It was so delicious. Very flavorful and tasty. Must go if you are in area or looking for something open.

I always buy from here when I am in the neighborhood. Food is always good & yummy. Fast & good services.

They have nice barbecue food , their pork liver congee is also very good , crispy , I also like to buy their squab

I wish they still were still specializing in Cantonese entrees because the BBQ meats are not good here. I ordered a char siu fang and a beef rice roll, which is usually a meal that you can't really mess up in my opinion. The rice roll was okay, it was reasonably priced, but a little too rubbery for me. When I got my rice, my char siu was kind of raw? It was cooked, but usually char siu is supposed to be very cooked and usually close to being burned. My mom complained and they told us it was the cut of the pig and changed the meat and it was the same. I will likely not come back here, but I felt bad as I never send back food and they were very accommodating to us.

Picked up some dumplings since I was a few doors down and they were very good however they were smaller than other spots and much pricier ($8 for 8!). Very friendly service.

I liked everything we ordered especially the fried rice. Beef chow fun was excellent. Food came quickly. No complaints!

Courteous service. My fault that delicious best beef tendons was dropped by accidentally 20 minutes ago and spilled.want back to NB, without hesitation I was taken care of. All was good. Aside from the display meets, I really like the salt and pepper pork chops. 100% Authentic Chinese/Cantonese.
