Neehee's in Canton is a great spot for Indian street food. Their menu has amazing options, and sometimes it’s hard to choose just one ! Their flavors and spices helps bring out the true taste of Indian street food. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious, authentic experience.

The food which we order is absolutely fantastic & incredibly delicious. Each dish has authentic flavours and tasted just like home cooked indian street food. The customer service was outstanding as well- friendly, attentive and fast. They made us feel so welcome. Forget the name of that lady who took our order. She was warm, welcoming & genuinely cared about making our experience great. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it perfect spot for a quick bite or relaxed meal with family & friends. Strongly recommend this place for anyone who craving flavourful, authentic indian street foods!

Great food. Good South Indian and good Pav Bhaji and Vadapav. On second visit had their gobi manchurian but I was disappointed. So 4✨⭐️

Google
My three-star rating reflects an average of my experiences. While the overall food and service are usually satisfactory, we had a disappointing incident today. The vada pav, sugarcane juice, and ragda pattice, are our go to items, which are all decent. However, today's order of samosas was very disappointing. The samosas were overfried, with an outer covering that was darkened and overcooked due to overly hot oil, while the inner crust was undercooked. Additionally, the filling was sparse, resulting in a flat samosa with barely any contents. I considered expressing my dissatisfaction at the counter, but Neehee’s is often very busy, especially in the evenings, so I decided it wasn't the best time to complain. Instead, I hope this review will highlight the need for better quality checks. On a positive note, the vada pav is one of the best you’ll find in Michigan, and I also enjoy the variety of ice creams they offer in Indian flavors. I took a picture of the samosas we received. Unfortunately, we had to discard them because they were inedible due to being overfried and undercooked. Since I can't attach the picture to this review, I'll add it directly to the photos for reference.

I had dahipuri and garlic vadapav. Vadapav was okay, better than other places. Dahipuri was good. Overall service was quick.

Google
Neehee's... what can I say? A dear friend introduced us to this gem, and our search for the best vadapav ended here. What started as a one-time thing has now become a tradition. Recently, I got to visit with friends and family, and wow, what an experience! Everything we tasted was excellent. We'll definitely be back soon, though it will be at their Columbus branch. I'm excited to hear they're opening a branch in Cincinnati, OH, by 2025. Until then, I'll be cherishing the memories and flavors from here.

Never imagined eating tasty Undhiyu in a US restaurant. Food is yummmmm. Just try to avoid going on Fridays & Saturdays, coz it's too crowded & u'll have to struggle to find a table. Otherwise 5* for the food. I tried: Undhiyu Puri & Kung Pao Paneer 5 stars for both My Husband tried: Raj Kachori 3.5 stars as we both didn't find it great compared to other food items.

Wow, what a treat to my taste buds! This was a last-minute idea after someone (me) forgot to have anything ready for dinner. Scambling for an idea I remembered a friend from work had suggested this place. I am so glad she did. From the moment we entered the time we left, we enjoyed every bit of it. Still fairly new to Indian cuisine, we took suggestions from the store manager. Let me tell you, he did not do us wrong. Every dish was wonderful in flavor and ready so promptly that we we r nearly overwhelmed. I say nearly as we managed to eat each and every last bit on the table. I can not describe each dish in depth because we had so much, and it was all so very different. I dare say that the Veggie Manchurian was the collective "best" dish, but it was all very close. So many distinct flavors and spices blended together equally in our full bellies! It was great. It's totally worth the small drive. I may have to forget to have something ready for dinner more often, lol. Will recommend it. Will be back. 100%

Yelp
Indian food is definitely one of my go to cuisines for aromatic and hearty meals. In Canton there is absolutely no shortage of good Indian/Pakistani restaurants due to the sizable South Asian community that calls the city home. Just down the street from my neighborhood is NeeHees, a restaurant chain that claims on its website to be "bringing Indian vegetarian and vegan-friendly street food to America." Based on this it's important to keep in mind they do no serve meat or animal proteins. I think that is a good thing because it really allows us to see what kind of unique and flavorful dishes one can make with vegetables, starches and plenty of fresh herbs/spices. As far as I know they have locations not only in Michigan, but Ohio and Illinois as well. I really enjoyed the vada pav, which was a potato burger sandwich with sauce on both slices of bread. I wasn't really a fan of the bread though; I wish they used something more soft and doughy. The Gujarati thali was an assortment of different items in a cafeteria tray and I don't really know what I ate entirely. But it was all delicious and satisfying. If you don't mind a little bit of heat with your food this is a great place to go even if you do like meat. Also worth noting is that the majority (if not all) of the diners at this restaurant are South Asian, so you know the place is good. The only minor criticism I have is that the menu is hard to navigate because they don't describe anything or offer translations.

Aruna B.

Yelp
I had undhiyu and puri, it was good, could have been better if oil was little less in undhiyu, bit still taste was good. My husband ordered thali and the best thing in that was as daal bulhara and shrikhand. Rotis were thin and soft. My dad ordered Raj kachori and he was happy with his food. Over all good vegetarian food.

Yelp
It was a friend's birthday, and she chose to celebrate at Neehee's. It was a new place for me, so I was excited to check it out. Blink and you'll miss it in Canton, but those in the know know where to find Neehee's. We arrived at dinner time on a Saturday and the place was hopping! After waiting in line for a bit, we were ready to order. I love Indian food, and so much of the selection was new to me. Since we had a large group, we ordered a variety of dishes to try and share around the table. I don't think anything I tried was something I didn't like - it was all so delicious! A few people got back in the long line for dessert, but I hadn't left any room for that after the amazing dinner. The long lines and the amount of food that was fried kept this from being a 5 star experience, but it was still a great place to check out and one that I'll return to.

Yelp
We have been coming to this place for quite some time. This is the place to get Indian street food. Their meals are typically very good and they do not disappoint. The service is pretty quick as we usually come at a not so busy time. We know at the height of their peak hours they can be quite busy. We always seem to try something different but the Chole Bhature is our favorite. We will return again. It has a casual vibe and set yourself. They also have a water station for unlimited ware and ice.

Sarah J.

Yelp
Love Neehee's. They have great food and big portions! We got the puri chaat, masala dosa and cheese and masala dosa. Also falooda. Masala dosa was good, but nothing special. Sambar here is good, but I've had better. Puri chaat was flavorful and filling. Super clean restaurant, lots of seating and ordering was quick and simple.

Jira W.

Yelp
This is the spot of Indian street food. All of my friends spoke highly of this place and no wonder why. Everything was delicious and would love to go back again.

Linda I.

Yelp
So good and filling! Went in for a weekday lunch and saw that they have a lunch special - choose one item each from two lists for $15. I ended up getting the Chole Bhature and Pani Puri, and it was fun to be able to try two things as a solo diner. I also added a Mango Lassi. I assumed the portions of each dish would be smaller for a lunch combo/special, but it kind of seemed like I just got two full sized things for myself haha. It was a lot of food! The Chole Bhature was amazing - so flavorful, good texture, wonderfully spiced. And I'm not even usually a big fan of chickpea dishes. This was really excellent though. It came with two giant puffy breads, but I didn't end up even fully finishing one. The raw onion it comes with did actually add to the flavor too. The Pani Puri was great too, very crispy and light exterior that held up the filling and sauces well for a fun bite that bursts in your mouth. Thoroughly enjoyed, and hope to be back soon! Very spacious interior with plenty of seating that could accommodate groups, and parking lot on site.

Yelp
I finally got here! This place is my new jam. it is very conveniently located in a strip mall with an expanded space. Very clean and modern space with a live area to showcase the making of jalebees and pani puris. They even have fresh ice cream to be scooped in enticing Indian flavors. We came and got lunch combos. Excellent value! For 15.00, you get 2 generously sized dishes. We got: chaat papdi, chole bhatura, masala dosa and aloo tikki w/yogurt. Everything was phenomenal. The dosa was huge and served with masala, 2 chutnies and delicious sambhar. I also indulged in a rose falooda, which was heavenly, full of various textures and perfectly rose flavored. I will return as soon as possible to try every option here, including fresh sugar cane juice.

Winter W.

Yelp
There is an interactive menu to learn about the restaurant's offerings. You order at the counter and you get a buzzer. You can sit wherever you want. We ordered a few items to try. They also have homemade ice cream ($3.99) but we didn't have any room for it! The food was fresh and flavorful. Great portion sizes. You can pick your spice level. You leave your dishes at your table when you're done.

Ketan S.

Yelp
Went for Buy 1 Get 1 free Dosa yesterday! The place was busy! And service was fast! They have now started giving plastic disposable cups for water to keep the place clean. I like the fact that they clean the tables instantly after someone leaves the table.

Ainsley E.

Yelp
This is my second trip here and I think I just ordered wrong. I got the Paneer Veg grill sandwich and while it's good, I think it's not just my thing. Beware it is spicy -- I think there are legit jalapenos in the mix. I thought it would be more cheese/paneer-forward, but there's a lot of some sauce similar to what you'd get in a chaat. And cornm don't forget the corn, which didn't really add much because the flavor was overpowered. In the past I had a dosa (giant) and the rose falooda. Definitely try a falooda if you like bubble tea, but be warned it's a different textural experience. And the rose flavor is fairly strong. I agree this place is a bit overpriced perhaps but you can't get this kind of selection many other places. I would return to try more of their menu.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Thursday. The store had plenty of space. It's a fast/casual restaurant. You order at the front and pick up your order once it's ready with a beeper. Pani puri - This was my first time trying this, and it's like an explosion in your mouth. It's very creamy and cold. I would recommend eating it quickly, so it doesn't fall apart, but I ate it in between the spicy food so that the coolness balanced out the heat. Pav Bhaji - This was our favorite item that we got. They so addicting! The spice was just right. The bread was soft and held the sauce well. It had the best flavor out of all of the dishes. Samosa chaat - I liked the crisp raw onions and toppings on this dish. My cousin said she wished that the filling had more flavor than just potatoes. However, I liked the textures of everything together. Spicy dosa - I forget which exact dosa this was, but it was tasty and spicy! I love dosas in general and this was good. It was crispy and easy to dip the sauces with. Wasn't a fan of the ginger-heavy sauce but the other chutneys were good. Mango lassi - Thick and not too sweet. It washed down the strong flavors of the other items well. The menu was so extensive here that I could come back several times and still try something new. There's also Indo-Chinese food. Absolutely wish there was a spot like this back home in the Bay Area!

Yelp
I am a regular at this place to say the least for last 9 years, so I have seen the place transition from a compact 15 table seating to the what it is currently. All vegetarian restaurant and excellent tasting food. You would like each and every item on their menu. All the chaat items are really good. I would definitely recommend to try it if you're fan of chaats. Dahi puri is my go to. Bhature have become less oil over the years but taste of chole has gone down. Pav bhaji is nice and so is puri bhaji. I am not a fan of sambar here, even if I get dosa, I stick to masala dosa and eating chutney and bhaji. Dabeli is also a good option. Mango lassi and Faluda are great but very sweet, if you're on diet, skip it. As of 2024, they have launched lunch combos which is a great business idea and so is for customer. You can try a meal and chat item for $15 with some dish restrictions. Wait time is usually around 30-45 minutes on late busy Saturday evening, other than that day it's pretty manageable. Service staff is very friendly and even in busy times they'll make sure you have a good experience. Abundant parking available. Place is clean and has sufficient seating.

Eli R.

Yelp
A friend suggested this place when I asked for a recommendation near IKEA, and I'm so glad she did! The atmosphere is clean, the menu has well marked vegan options, and they have fun lively music playing! The service was fast and friendly! All of the food I had was absolutely delicious! This visit I enjoyed the Sev Batata Puri, Veg Hakka Noodles, and Mirchi Bhajia. I'll definitely be back!

Mark P.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! The Gobi Manchurian, cut Mirchi, Chana chaat are must try. The staff is always friendly and are very fast and efficient! Would absolutely recommend!

gunjan a.

Yelp
I have mixed emotions with this place. Been here couple of times. The restaurant is good they have a good dining space but you will have to serve your self. Few items are over priced while few are very reasonable. The attendant at the counter is not very friendly. Pav bhaji - good Cut mirchi- really nice Raj kachori - ok ok not that great(or may be my expectations were high) Vada pav - tooooo gooood i love it Dosa - not great at all , i have had better dosas around Lastly i once ordered mango lassi but it wasn't fresh , i spoke the staff about it and they replaced it with another beverage.

Abby V.

Yelp
We are non-Indian, non-vegetarians and this may be our favorite restaurant. Everything is fresh and supremely flavorful!

Sneha A.

Yelp
Food was so gooodd! Especially Chole Bhature and Dahi Samosa Chaat was really tasty. Great customer service and clean restaurant. Not too busy on a weekday night. Paper Masala Dosa was a 2 1/2 feet long crisp dosa!!!

Jaimi P.

Yelp
Amaaazzzingggggggg fooddd The ambience is amazing, clean Reaturant and customer service is great. Must just try paneer Manchurian and chole Bhature.

Nymisha A.

Yelp
First time at neehee's. Food is good. We had chutney vada pav, chole bhature, sugar cane juice & mango lassi. Chole bhature is good. Spacious, has more sitting room. Service is quick.

Apoorv T.

Yelp
Amazing and ecstatic taste We have tried all varieties of food here IndoChinese and South Indian is must try

Nav S.

Yelp
I always have to go to neehee's to get my Indian street food satisfaction. No matter what you get everything is bomb.com. Today I tried the idli vaada with Sambar, it was fresh and hot. My sister always gets the onion rava dosa and it's perfect every time. Mango lassi is a must when you go to neehee's. It's packed on Saturday so maybe try to aim for a weekday. Love the place and it deserves all the stars. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating and wonderful portion sizes. Ps you can find something for everyone!!! Even kids!

Sumana N.

Yelp
We tried an array of food items like lunch combo...chaat, poor I then dosa, idli vada and cane juice. Every item tasted fresh, fluffy, oil less and most of amazingly refreshing and tasty! We had come searching for vegetarian food after stuck in the airport overnight after the IT outage and Neehee's offered it's welcoming ambience and clean interiors including the restrooms. We rested our head after filling our hungry and tired bodies until the time for the time for the connecting flight. The staff didn't disturb us while we rested and nice soothing music helped us rest. All in all it was very pleasant and happy experience at Neehee's. Wish they could open their branch in Dallas, TexasTexas : ) otherwise we'll miss them!!

Pradeep Kumar G.

Yelp
Been a regular visitor for the past 3 years and the quality has been consistently excellent. Every item we have tried so far has been on par with the very best we can find back home.

Shankar M.

Yelp
Awesome Food. Great staff. location is also at best suited. nice staff and very helpful.

Brian W.

Yelp
I went back to this restaurant after a number of years because they are very expensive. Well, they are now even more expensive. I ordered Gobi Manchurian( Cauliflower in a spicy red sauce ) The dish was very good. For a very small portion of food, the bill came to almost $13. If I made this dish at home, I could feed 8 people for this price. Will I be going back? Sure I want to but.......

Milind G.

Yelp
I have mixed emotions with this place. The restaurant is good they have a good dining space but you will have to serve your self. Few items are over priced while few are very reasonable. The attendant at the counter is not very friendly(Sad face). Most of the food they serve is good. But I will not recommend any one to get a Pani puri over here. They have twisted the whole recipe. No Hot Chickpeas (Ragda), only Potatoes. They put Sugar in pani puri. Chutney tastes weird.

Aditi P.

Yelp
This is by far the most presentable Indian fast joint to eat I've seen! The menu is on monitors ready to order with rotating pictures to see what everything looks like. The food is amazing and everything was really good. I got a little bit of everything and there is a ton of dining space . Service is decent but overall very pleased

Bryan C.

Yelp
THE GOOD: The menu selections are off the charts! It will leave your head spinning as you see how many different categories to choose from. I had to come here 3xs to get a grasp of what they had to offer before I could even write a review. From Combos, street food, specialty sandwiches, dosas, Indo-Chinese fusion, noodles, burgers, pakodas and so much more. They had vegan options! THE BAD: I'm not going to lie, it's pretty pricey here, and to add to the disappointment, the portions are slim compared to what you pay for. 1) I ended up ordering the Veggie Manchurian with Gravy which was okay, but it was lacking substance with lots of spicy sauce leftover, more sauce than food. 2) Second time I ordered the Vegetable Hakka Noodles, which was tasty, but pricey as well and the lack of portions left me unsatisfied. 3) Third time I ordered the Bombay Veggie Grill Sandwich. There was nothing really special about this sandwich other than it could be a vegan option. WHAT'S UNIQUE: You can see them work in the kitchen through the window as they make the food which is cool and the place is pretty busy and crowded which adds a buzz to this place, it seems pretty popular with the Indian community, however the price to portion ratio is not favorable nor justifiable for me to frequent this place.

Nibuz E.

Yelp
Reasonably priced, well flavored, great portions, and casual dining. What more can one ask for?! Neehee's a great spot for anyone wanting to start their Indian food journey or for the dosa aficionado. Either way, you'll walk our pleased. 100% vegetarian, isn't even the selling point but rather a wonderful byproduct (aka TRUE Indian food). Love to see it #OpenInA2!

Jessie O.

Yelp
We went to lunch, and we ordered 2 charts (Dahi Puri + Tikki Chole), 1 masala dosa and 1 dosa wrap. The masala dosa was made so thick that it was under cooked. The dosa wrap was cold. The dahi puri chart was made without extra dahi, like it used to be prior. The quality of the food has dropped in this place. We will never go back! I can see why they are not busy like they used to be. Overly expensive for below quality food. On a Friday there were just a handful of people eating. Because of the business slowing down for them, that is why they are running specials and advertising all over there front window. I would not recommend this place to anyone; it is not what it used to be! Stay Away!

Vishal S.

Yelp
Found small curly hair in schezwan noodles and the lady over counter pretend it was from plates although it was directly from noodles bowl. Chefs was wearing head cover but had visible beard. Surprisingly the neehee's quality is degrading now hopefully management will notice this issue.

Claudia K.

Yelp
We love NeeHee's! I don't even know where to start ... It's Indian street food. Amazingly consistent. Super flavorful. If you're new to Indian, it's a great place to dip a toe in the water. I've never had close to a bad experience. One time, mmmmaybe some ice cream didn't taste super fresh, but it was mid-winter during a pandemic, so I'll give that a pass. It's 'fast food' - not quite as fast as McDonald's - but fast enough you order at the window and get a buzzer. You used to not be able to call in an order and that was our #1 complaint, but since Covid, that's changed, so yay. We have so many favorite dishes that I don't know where to start. The one I always go back to is the Samosa Chaat w/ yogurt. It's sweet, herbal and salty, hot and crispy w/ cool yogurt. Hits all the pleasure spots. Another favorite is the Rava Masala Dosa. If you've never had dosa, they're amazing giant pancakes, usually with some kind of onion or potato filling and chutneys on the side. There are two types fo dosa on the menu -- They're both awesome, but the real stunner is the semolina one. It's got this awesome bubbly honeycomb texture to it that makes it extra crispy and the perfect compliment to the soft, mushy potato filling. It's something truly special. I also find myself drawn over and over to the Cut Mirchi -- They're banana peppers battered, fried, and topped with onion, cilantro, and magic. Take a gamble and get some of these to share. We also love the Idly (fluffy steamed rice pancakes) because I can't get enough coconut chutney, ever, and the Pav Baji (tomato curry stew) that you dip buttery, soft bred into. I don't get this one, bc tomato allergy, but it's my boyfriend's #1 favorite. He gets it at different places around town and his comment about NeeHee's is that "it's amazingly consistent." So take that as you will. We don't often venture into the world of sweet drinks there, but you should. When we do, we get the fresh sugar cane juice -- a real treat! They serve it with lime and masala (savory spice blend), which was a little weird since we're used to more Thai-style, but def worth trying. They have all sorts of lassi and other drinks with layers of vermicelli and such? Maybe one day I'll try that, but we're always so stoked for food that it's just too much. If you've made it this far in my review -- WOW. Treat yourself to some ice cream. But really, do it. The rose-turmeric-pistachio from Nee Hee might be my all-time favorite ice cream from anywhere (ever)? But if you want to try a second one, we can also vouch for the Chickoo.

Neil R.

Yelp
Chole Bhature is to die for. Our favorite spot every time we visit Michigan. Make sure to try Mango Faluda with it.

Koti M.

Yelp
Today we were at Neehee's Canton and ordered one box of samosa. We were charged extra 3 dollars for sauce. The worst part was there was an iron nail in one of the samosa. Please see picture. We reported this to the management. But be very careful when you eat food at neehee's. I was lucky that my 3 year old son was not eating that samosa.

Savsri A.

Yelp
When I visited Michigan one of my friend took me to this place. I fell in love with all the food menu options they had the taste was authentic Indian flavor. They even had special Jalabi on Saturday. It was piping hot and tasted very delicious. it's a self-service there a lot of food options to choose from. If you love the Indian food and flavors. This is the must visit restaurant.

R A.

Yelp
Excellent street food on the overall and fast prep. I ordered the following items: 1. Rose falooda - excellent flavor with vermicelli noodles and ice cream. 2. Chilli paneer - really good flavor, bit on the spicy side. 3. Bombay veg grill - excellent with even layers 4. Mumbai college grill - got a slab of cheese and a slab of potato. Not a fan.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Never disappoints. I have a few favorites I always order, but love rotating through new items, too. Neehee's website makes it very easy to order online too with photos of every dish.

Saranya D.

Yelp
To satisfy my chat cravings we went for dine in. This had a bright and colorful ambience. The booths were comfortable with big glass walls. Lots of big screens showing food pictures and its prices. Need to place order in the counter and wait for the buzzer to buzz once the order is ready. They offer both dine-in and take out service. Ordered 1. Dahi Puri - good 2. Bhel Puri - good 3. Pav Bhaji - below average 4. Chole Batura - bad 5. Tutti Fruity icecream - decent 6. Faloda with icecream - bad I would have rated 5, if I hadn't ordered Pav Bhaji or Chole Batura. Chole Batura was very disappointing at least not expecting it from a restaurant specialized for Indian street food. In fact, the channa was below average and I could not take more than a spoon. Batura was so hard and was possibly the worst Chole Batura I've ever had. Also than the rest of the orders they took longer time for Chole Batura. I feel this place has been over hyped. Shared free parking. They have multiple food joints near by. This experience stood out like a sore thumb. Overall, the taste wasn't up to the expectations and the food was underwhelming for the price. I doubt if I will return.

Sanjay V.

Yelp
I've been coming to Neehee's for a while now, and today I must say I was slightly disappointed with my meal. Gobi Manchurian (5/5) - the Gobi Manchurian here is amazing! Super crispy and tastes delicious, was honestly considering ordering another one to go. Dahi samosa chaat (5/5) - the samosa chaat was phenomenal! Best Dahi samosa chaat I've found in Michigan to be honest. Tastes amazing and serves in a good quantity. Chili cheese dosa (2/5) - this was a huge letdown. The dosa tasted slightly burnt, the cheese was poorly melted in, and the meal felt kind of cold. I've had much better dosa in surrounding Indian restaurants Overall, Neehee's is a great place to go to for Chaat items, but I was quite disappointed with my dosa today and would say it's more on the pricier side.

Yelp
Every time I come here I hope it's going to be a good experience but it really isn't. This visit I got the chole batura and it was just not good. It was so oily and not flavorful. The inside of the restaurant was nice, lot of seating.

Yelp
I've been to Neehee's one other time a few years ago and wish I lived closer to have it more because of the variety and quality of this Indian Street food invokes mouth watering with just the thought. There are so many delicious options it's hard to pick one. Definitely try a Dosa and a lassi if you have never been before and I'm always a fan of the samosas which you can get dressed up. Everyone left feeling full and happy.

Yelp
The best spot for quick, delicious, affordable Indian food! Pros: - fast service - lots of seating - large portions Cons: none really! I really enjoyed the food there.

Yelp
I've been in Neehee's in Troy, but this time I came with a small Yelp army to tackle the menu. Thanks to Daniel B. and Jenny K's guidance; I got to try so many new street food dishes. So to summarize Neehee's up: 100% vegetarian indian street food, fast casual style! Don't expect tikka malasa or naan here. Try something new like.... *The Chole Bhature was great. What is it you ask? Here's the condensed version from their website: Northern Indian, Used To Be a Breakfast Dish, It's basically a spicy chickpea curry (onions, tomatoes, spiced gravy) accompanied with the bread - that's the bhature part - served with chopped raw onion & a lime wedge)! *Pani Puri - so fun to eat and amazing how the flavors of Indian food complement each other so well. Pani puri is "..a hollow, round crusty shell called puri; to which you add a potato and black chickpea mix, tamarind chutney and the spicy coriander-mint water. You put the whole puri in your mouth and there will be a burst of sweet, spicy, minty and tangy flavors. An unbelievable experience of a multitude of flavors all at once." *DOSAS!! They have SO many versions of dosas here which are basically crepes. There are three different "bases" you can choose from -- the dosa (made of fermented rice/lentil flour - you can taste the smidge of tanginess from the fermentation), rava dosa (plain jane - no fermentation needed so really just like a crepe!), uttapam (more like a soft, savory pancake made with fermented batter and grilled until it is soft on the inside and crisp on the outside). All the dosas are served with a veggie lentil soup, coconut chutney, tomato-onion-peanut chutney! *Parathas - While we're talking about carbs. These stuffed flatbreads were SUPER tasty. *Khaman Dhokla - "Originated in Gujarat, Western India; this snack can be eaten at almost any time of the day! It can be served as a breakfast, or as a side dish during meals, or even as an evening snack. It is like a savory spongy cake made from steamed chickpea flour, topped with mustard seeds, sesame seeds, cilantro, served with mint-cilantro chutney and sweet chutney." It basically read like cornbread to me, but I got to dip it in tasty chutney! Yum! We ate so many more dishes and they were ALL good. Unlike my visit to Neehee's in Troy, I also tried the ice cream! Fantastic flavors. I loved the unique fruits that they were highlighting. I couldn't just pick one so I went with the Chikoo (never had this fruit before but it looks like a kiwi but reads like a creamy almost peanut butter/tahini-like goodness to it!) and Guava (I really enjoyed that this didn't taste artificial at all. It was really tasty and fantastic texture!)

Yelp
Where to begin lol... if you want to be overwhelmed with menu offering, then this is definitely a place where you'll get lost. Especially if it's your first time visiting. Thankfully, I came here with folks who been here before and also knew what to order. I came here for group dinner with other Yelp members, our monthly first Monday gathering. I left all the ordering to the others and enjoyed the food that came out. This was my first time at all Vegan restaurant and I have to say, I walked away with difference perspective on Vegan foods. Here's few of my favorite dishes: - Dahi Puri - Gobi 65 - Gobi Manchurian - Kang Pao Paneer - Vegetable Fried Rice Now that I have been exposed to their menu and their food, I now know what I'll get on my next visit. Their menu can be overwhelming, I would recommend you go to their website, review their picture menu and then jot down what you want to eat. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I met with a former coworker at this place which was one of the first really popular Indian restaurants in the area. I was amazed at how much the interior had been modified and upgraded. It used to be a service counter with a small dining area like an old fast food joint. There was now a much wider space to hold the line for ordering. The seating capacity had also probably doubled what it used to be following the extensive renovation. The number of menu offerings was extensive for all vegetarian Indian style street food. It helps to have someone who is versed in this type of cuisine because other than a few pictures, there weren't any detailed descriptions of the items (available on their website though). We were given a numbered buzzer after placing our order of Mixed Vegetable Pakodas, Pav Bhaji and a Mango Lassi. The pakodas came as a dozen or so deep fried fritters of chickpea flour batter. The filling consisted of chopped carrots, cabbage, onions, spinach, sweet bell peppers, and spices. Dipping vessels filled with tamarind chutney and mint-cilantro chutney accompanied the dish. The batter was so light and crispy which made them really delicious. I did prefer the mint-cilantro chutney. The Pav Bhaji was a medley of mashed vegetables (potato, cauliflower, green peas, green peppers, beet root, tomatoes) cooked on a flat cast iron pan with garlic, ginger and homemade masala. Two buttered dinner rolls sliced in half along with a lime wedge and chopped onions came with the meal. I had never been given dinner rolls to accompany an Indian entree before so this was certainly different because it's usually naan bread. The spiciness of the stew was medium in intensity for my taste buds. The food took about 10 minutes to be prepared before the buzzer sounded so the kitchen takes time to make the food as it's ordered. There was a station next to the dining room where fresh pani puri was prepared and served as customers brought their receipts there. A busboy was assigned to monitor the tables as they emptied so he could clear the dishes and wipe the area clean. Overall, I was impressed enough with this renewed setup of Neehee's to give my experience a four star rating.

Yelp
Neehee's is my favorite restaurant for quality South Indian cuisine. It reminds me of my time in Chennai and I'm so grateful to have this local connection to those memories. This location is the OG.

Yelp
First time at Neehee's tonight. Amazing. Staff was extremely helpful and food was fantastic. This will be a go-to place for me... and I'm not even vegetarian.
