The Best Veggie Burgers in Montreal - Eater Montreal

"If natural wine and burger towers sound appealing, head to Unibar in Old Montreal. This collaboration between Tommy Cafe and Uniburger feels more like a speakeasy than a fast food joint but the burgers (including the veggie burger, made with Beyond Meat patties), which have been compared to In-N-Out Burger, speak for themselves." - Kaitlyn McInnis

Montreal’s Best Bars With Food and Snacks - Eater Montreal

"In the same vein of cheeseburger perfection as St-Henri’s Loïc, Montrealers can now get the one of the city’s favourite fast food burgers alongside a glass of natural wine, beer or a cocktail at this newly opened Old Montreal spot." - Tim Forster, Heather Vandenengel, Ashley Joseph

Unibar Is Flipping Burgers and Pouring Wine in Old Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Situated in the former Alfie’s space on St-Sulpice Street, I find this speakeasy-like Old Montreal bar opened by the owners of Uniburger and Tommy Café to be a relatively casual spot for eating and drinking. Burgers are the main focus — a tight menu offers single and double-patty burgers plus a Beyond Meat vegetarian option, fries, and a daily dessert — with the patties slightly tweaked from their other restaurants but still embodying the essence of a simple, no-fuss hamburger. The bar side leans a bit fancier, emphasizing natural wines mostly from France and the Mediterranean, and is rounded out by a few burger-friendly cocktails such as a cherry cola spritz and the “Groot Beer” (bourbon, amaro, vanilla bitters, and root beer syrup) alongside a short beer list. It’s open at 404 St-Sulpice from 5 p.m. to midnight Thursday to Saturday." - Tim Forster

Uniburger and Tommy Café to Open Unibar in Old Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Opening on St‑Sulpice Street in Old Montreal in partnership with the Tomahawk Group, Unibar will pair Uniburger’s slightly tweaked—yet fundamentally the same—burgers and fries with a bar program featuring natural wine (sourced from importer Le Vin Dans Les Voiles), cocktails, and beer; the owner says the lighter wines should pair well with the burgers and imagines it as a good after‑work spot. The space will get new decor but retain speakeasy-ish elements from the previous tenant, and the new spot already has an Instagram populated with celebrity burger photos." - Tim Forster

Honestly I was a little dissatisfied with my time here. I must preface this review with I was only here once and my experience may not be standard. The vibes of the place are very nice, and we only got drinks, but for a place called the Negroni Room that should be all we need. Service was noticeably slow even though it was not busy, and the cocktails were fine. Altogether unimpressed. Might have been just an off day for them, but that was my experience.

Lola the bartender and Pablo the server were absolutely spectacular and made our Friday night feel extremely special. We felt like personal guests and were not only immensely entertained and treated warmly but also got to enjoy a delectable meal in an amazing ambiance. 10/10 would return and recommend to everyone I know!

Our first time here and we will definitely come again. Our server Pablo was the absolute best and provided wonderful service. The cocktails were delicious and the atompsphere was perfect.

Upstairs - more romantic vibe and great for families. Downstairs is where the vibe was at My friends and I had a fantastic time Good food, top notch curated negronis, and fantastic service.

The service was truly disappointing—slow, inattentive, and overall unpleasant. The food was average at best, nothing memorable or worth the price. To top it off, we were practically kicked out by 12:30, which made the whole evening feel rushed and unwelcoming. I won’t be coming back.

Very much enjoyed my experience here. It was a quiet time and the server was very open to my request to play afrobeats music 😊. Chocolate Negroni is something special.

I love this speakeasy so much. The best Negronis in town: different flavours like chocolate, cherry, negroni sours… The deco and atmosphere is sick, the vibes are immaculate. My friends and I had an amazing time!
