The Hottest New Restaurants in the Seattle Area, July 2024

"Strip malls are the quiet engine of American innovation, so it’s no surprise that this Filipino brunch joint with a beautiful view of the Southcenter Parkway is doing some high-level stuff. We’re talking about longganisa smashburgers, wings with churros, chicken katsu longganisa, banana bread French toast... the list goes on. Even the hash is a scientific miracle — the potatoes and lechon (pork) are exceptionally crispy and the sawsawn (soy sauce with garlic and onions) is a perfect umami companion to the meat and potatoes. Needless to say, this is not health food, unless phin-brewed Vietnamese coffee counts as healthy. Bring the family so you can share some plates." - Meg van Huygen, Harry Cheadle

There isn’t a whole lot of Filipino restaurants out here…but this place definitely represents. And in such a fresh and modern way. I admit, when I got up to order, I still didn’t know what I wanted because it all sounded good; but the long line behind me made me just spit out whatever I saw! I regret not getting the longinisa😣 and I didn’t know about the coffee flight! We ended up getting the Neighborhood Plate with bacon and the House Hash. So yummy! The garlic fried rice was the perfect amount of “garlicky”. The eggs perfectly made. The Hash I felt could’ve been seared a little more. There was a lot of pork belly, though! But maybe could’ve been chopped up smaller. There wasn’t as much sear to any of the ingredients, so it all seemed one note; I couldn’t tell between a potato or the pork belly😕 but sure enough, it had a lot of flavor! We got the Ube latte and the black sesame latte… I’ve never heard of that so I was excited to try it. And it was delicious! Subtle but just enough black sesame flavor and not too sweet! And the ube latte, yummmmm!! They were out of the fried lumpia balls :( but got the Ube biscuits. Some may say it is dry, but love the crunch. Just enough ube flavor and that butter that comes with it?!? Sooo yum! I asked for a to-go container for it. It was like kettle-corn made into a butter! I am definitely coming back to try more things next time!!

The drinks are good and the flavors are good. My one thing is I wish they had more breakfast items, there were some fusion dishes that were great but I don’t want garlic rice at 8 am 🤣 The coffee flight can easily be shared with 2 people. Each of them have unique flavors and were varied. It made me excited to come back and try more.

Came here for the first time and it was so so good! It was mother's day so it was busy. They had a DJ playing old school music which was awesome. The service was pretty good. We got 2 coffees, fried lumpia balls and a chop cheese sandwich. Everything tasted amazing. The Barista somehow didn't make 1 of our coffees but was very sweet and just made us another. Definitely will be visiting in the near future because the rest of their menu looks so good ! Update- came again and sat this time...around brunch time. Got a flight and it was great. The chicken fried steak was really good-gravy is amazing. My plate initially came out kind of cold... so I asked for it to be re-heated but they brought me a brand new one which was nice. My wife got the Uber biscuits 😋 very tasty. My friend got a bunch of different things and it was all good. Definitely got the lumpia balls again!

Google
It's a good place to get a Vietnamese/Filipino fusion sort of food and beverages. Did not try their breakfasts so I can't comment on those. The fried lumpia balls had too much coating and not enough filling, so that wasn't really impressive. The pandan latte was okay, so was the hot chocolate.

We dined in on the patio out front. We ordered the busog burrito, ube pancakes, and lumpia balls. We also got the leche flan tea and the black sesame latte. The food was all amazing, the tea was a little sweet for me but it was my husband’s and he loved it. The black sesame latte was great. I was super impressed with the ube pancakes because I’m not normally a big pancake person, and they were delicious. We had our little dogs on the patio with us and they offered up pupcups for them, which was super sweet and they loved. The inside didn’t look overly comfortable, the outside was as comfortable as expected with the usual metal chairs and bench. It would have been awesome to have a table umbrella out there, because the sun’s glare on the table was harsh, but I think most people probably choose to dine inside. Overall, we would definitely go again.

Google
I liked the food here! We went on a Monday morning and it was actually very busy, about ~20 minutes of waiting in line until we ordered. I was going to get their brunch tower, but they only do it on weekends! Not sure if I just missed it, but on their instagram posts about it I didn’t see a time frame :( Ended up getting the banana bread french toast, the girl helping us said it was sharable between 2 people, but when it came out it was 3 slices, all a little bigger than my palm. It was veryyy rich though so it turned out fine, but I wouldn’t call it a share size. It was sooo delicious, the batter on the bread was kind of crispy and it had fresh banana on top ❤️🍌 I also ordered their strawberry matcha and it was fine although I wouldn’t order it again. The matcha itself was watery and the strawberry puree was too sweet for my taste. I *think* they use matcha concentrate from what I saw but don’t quote me! The inside is clean and you bus your own tables. It isn’t very big inside and because it gets busy it can get loud in there.

Google
super cute place! love the atmosphere, the staff were all super nice and fun to talk to, plenty of seating available, and a diverse menu. i was there for the coffee platter which came out quickly and was amazing, definitely worth the price. i will definitely be going back to try their other drinks!

Google
Neighborhood Cafe offers a delightful experience for anyone craving unique drinks and a satisfying breakfast. Their matcha and ube drink selection is truly impressive, offering a vibrant array of options that go beyond the usual. Whether you're a matcha connoisseur or curious to try the subtly sweet ube, you'll find something to love.

Yelp
Found the us place near our hotel. Ratings I wasn't sure but this place does not get enough credit. Five stars for sure. This place is clean, TV menu available, the staff is super great and server was nice too. Take out or dine in available. Order your food first then find a table. I ordered the Neighborhood plate with their homemade longanisa and my daughter ordered the Banana French Toast Foster. Everything was really good. Love the garlic rice with their fried garlic toppings and side of something similar to chili pepper water. Also comes with over easy eggs. All taste of vinegar with garlic I'm a fan of. Banana French toast was good too. The banana toppings and the syrup was a great match with my entree. The portions are a good size and I couldn't eat it all. My husband also had the longanisa and he said this is way better than the sausage version. Self serve water available. Oh and the Ube Latte wasn't too sweet and it was just perfect! Recommended place to have breakfast/brunch.

Yelp
4.5 stars, but I'll round up! There isn't a whole lot of Filipino restaurants out here...but this place definitely represents. And in such a fresh and modern way. And the ube latte, yummmmm!! They were out of the fried lumpia balls :( but got the Ube biscuits. It's a little dry to be called a biscuit, but I love the crunch haha! Just enough ube flavor and that butter that comes with it?!? Sooo yum! I asked for a to-go container for it. It was like kettle-corn made into a butter! Yelp
My fiance and I were excited to stop by Neighborhood Cafe to try the viral matcha flight that we kept seeing on our social media feeds. When we walked in, we noticed that the matcha flight wasn't listed on their TV menu. We found a small banner taped on the wall of the matcha flight, and there wasn't a price tag listed. At the counter, the staff said the flight was $23.99 for 4 drinks. The flight contained strawberry matcha, ube matcha, coconut matcha, and mango sago matcha. Our favorite was the ube matcha, which had a nice flavor of ube throughout. However, the others fell short of our expectations. The coconut matcha had a strong flavor of coconut with very little to no matcha taste. The strawberry matcha had a good strawberry puree at the bottom, but the matcha was very watered down. The mango sago had a few bits of mango, and we unfortunately did not detect any sago. We also noticed how much ice was in each glass, in comparison to the glass size. It felt like we were getting less drink than what was expected. While we were disappointed in our flight, I'd be curious to visit and try their other food items in the future.

Yelp
The cafe is super cute and comfy. It's such a great place to sit and have nice convos with your friends. The service was super quick and they brought our food over to our table when we couldn't hear our name called. Highly recommend the neighborhood plate, it was really good and my favorite thing to eat including the coffee float. I loved the sesame coffee the most. The ube pancake was just okay. The sauce wasn't enough and I didn't really taste the ube. But overall, I quite like it and would go back again

Yelp
The food in here was grubbin'! The dishes we ordered were Filipino inspired and it was an awesome twist on a burger and tacos. If you enjoy longanisa, you must try this food out! We also ordered a coffee flight...sweet but each one was tasty. Wouldn't mind coming back for another brunch.

Yelp
Neighborhood cafe has a great menu on paper. There's tons of fusion items and drinks. The matcha flight also caught my eye. You order at the front and seat yourself. After eating, you bus your own table. There's plenty of parking that is shared with the rest of the shops in the mall. Matcha flight: comes with 4 "samplers" of matcha that are the size of two shot cups each. In the flight you get strawberry matcha (watery), mango sago matcha (good but no sago in mine), ube matcha (good), and coconut matcha (good). Overall a good way to sample different flavors for about $20. Also there's no modifications to dairy as they are "pre-made". Biko pandan: it's advertised as basically a pandan/coconut milk tea but the drink itself was very watery. Ube biscuits and gravy: The ube biscuits are pretty dry - they broke apart when I put a fork in them. The gravy helps to make the dish a little bit more palatable. Even though the item states its longanisa gravy, I didn't get any longanisa flavor at all. It was a good pork gravy with some onion pieces. Chicken fried steak: The steak came in two small pieces and was lightly fried. The beef wasn't ground but more a thin piece of steak. The garlic rice was actually the highlight of the meal (and visit). Overall, Neighborhood cafe was just okay - the menu looks good but everything was subpar. I will note that the service is good and friendly. I had requested scrambled eggs for a dish (and they even repeated it back to me) but they brought it out sunny side and said they could make it right.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this wonderful establishment for quite some time and I'm so happy we finally made it over. Their menu was full of amazing filipino dishes and many curated beverages. The cafe was clean and love the friendly and welcoming atmosphere!

Yelp
Honestly was a bit disappointed since I was sooo excited to visit this cafe. Customer service is severely lacking. Food is okay and hit or miss depending on what you order. Drinks were okay but nothing to return for. My boyfriend's ube latte was much better than the heartbreak matcha. Upon walking in the cafe is beautiful with modern and earthy decor but we were not greeted and were looked up and down by the two baristas deep in convo that sounded slightly like gossip/ just personal conversations that can be had out of work. The cafe was empty and we were the only customers so would've been nice to be greeted or talked to about the cafe since this was our first time here however we were ignored for a minute while they continued their convo. We asked how to order and they said at the counter. When we asked questions the older barista did not seem happy. My boyfriend did not appreciate her having a slight attitude and didn't like when she waved/shooed her hand and arm and used the words "whatever" when we asked questions about the lobby and where to get silverware and napkins, etc. Professionalism was lacking. The service just really dampened the whole experience. I don't mind bussing my own tables and such but this is something that should be more clear or we should be told. Especially when no other customers are in the building just makes you feel like your business doesn't matter when you are treated poorly or like an inconvenience. I gave myself a mini tour since our questions seemed to annoy the older barista shooing us with her hand and arm so I found the sign above the trash and plate return area about bussing your own table. I discovered a QR code on the tables for ordering? Lobby tables could use a thorough wipe down too as at least two tables had sauce on the sides caked up. Customer service is the main reason I would not return and not recommend tbh. Felt very hostile and unpleasant. The beverage I ordered was the Matcha Heartbreak iced which was a little clumpy and the purée ruined the whole thing. Barely any strawberry as they possibly didn't shake or mix the purée as it was just that glob of clear liquid sitting at the bottom. Not much strawberry even after stirred. As a barista myself I know shaking alt milk, strawberry purée, etc is important. If there were no other customers why didn't she take the time to make the drink look and taste good? Don't rush stirring the matcha when I'm the only one in the cafe...No matcha lover wants clumps... my man did enjoy his ube hot latte though. For brunch I ordered the Ube Biscuits and Gravy and my man ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. We both agreed the gravy was tasty and flavorful. He enjoyed his meal and we both loved the garlic fried rice on his plate. I thought the ube biscuits were a bit too dry and burnt on the bottom for my liking and just a bit of a let down. Gravy was tasty and saved the dish but needed more gravy for how dry the biscuits were so I couldn't finish the last biscuit. This cafe is so beautiful and cute with great variety on the menu however I don't see myself returning. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and food is hit or miss.

Yelp
I got the lychee passionfruit tea and would not recommend it. The lychee flavor was very faint and the passionfruit syrup was a little lacking. There was also crystallized sugar at the bottom of the drink which I would get chunks of when sipping.

Yelp
I was visiting Seattle from a city that lacks Filipino food and Neighborhood Cafe hit the spot! My favorite dish was their Longanisa Smash. I visited on the way to the airport and if I had more time, I'd definitely try their matcha flight. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Cute cafe near southcenter serving up Filipino inspired dishes. Their drinks are delicious. They have a coffee flight with various flavors that are really tasty. Would definitely recommend trying! All their food is very tasty and gives homage to the Philippines. We have come here a couple times and liked everything we got. I think the only thing that was sort of iffy was the banana lumpia.. but I haven't found good banana lumpia here in Washington yet.. Im used the ones the aunties make in Hawaii that are huge and crispy and have the caramel sauce on the outside. Anyways.. overall a good place to try! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Ordered to go as we came in around 10:30am on a Saturday and it was busy. I got the Busog Burrito with garlic rice and tapa and a Milo Milk Tea. The burrito was good and I like the little arugula salad it comes with. I wasn't really a fan of the peppers so i ended up eating those by itself or with the salad. The burrito is pretty big and packed too. The Milo Milk Tea was okay since I didn't taste any Milo in it so kind of a regular milk tea. They have lots of drinks and while I was waiting lots of people ordered the ube matcha so might have to get that next time! Since we ordered to go they kept checking in on us which was nice. It's a small cafe so a little crowded around brunch time!

Yelp
Love the matcha flight here! I went on a Monday morning and it was pretty busy- I think they always have a lot of business so be prepared for a little wait. I tried the matcha tonic, which I did not love, but I am also not huge on tonic water. I also got the matcha flight for March, which was LOVELY! There was strawberry, ube, mango, and coconut in mine. I don't know if I could even choose a favorite if I tried. They were so creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. The breakfast platter was also awesome- their garlic fried rice and the sauce that pair with it are not to be missed. The vibes here are cool and modern. Would be a great place to hang with your laptop for a bit and sip on a fruity matcha. So excited for their airport location to open too!

Yelp
Neighborhood cafe has a very aesthetic vibe to it. The inside is very clean and has a row of tiny tables. The lechon burrito was super good. Obviously it is hard to eat and entire burrito that is filled with fatty pork, so a side of spicy vinegar sauce is served with it. The combination of the vinegar and fat is amazing and is something I definitely recommend. The country fried steak was alright. It wouldn't be something I would crave. However, the batter was crispy and gravy complimented it well. Overall, this place is very cute and aesthetic, I will be back soon

Yelp
this is such a cute place in tukwila - I went here for a reunion meal with my friends + ordered neighborhood plate and the food was soooo tasty and filling. I was super hungry and ate that up I think it's a great portion size. Service after ordering was pretty fast. Definitely recommend the neighborhood plate and sadly don't recommend that strawberry matcha (matcha heartbreak) and it's "heartbreaking" to say that bc I just had a bit too high of expectations and the texture/taste was not that good. I'd love to try their fruit teas tho...

Yelp
As everyone already know, the coffee here is great. The good is delicious. I truly cannot say anything that others have not already said about the food and drinks. But you know what I cannot get over?! The Garlic Fried Rice. In all my 36 years, I haven't been a fan of rice in general. I'm Vietnamese. We eat rice every darn day. We eat it when it accompanies the main dish. I don't ever purposely pay for rice and never go out of my way for fried rice. You cannot impress me with fried rice. Well I'm eating my words! I'm obsessed with the Garlic Fried Rice here. I would come back just got have a giant bowl of this rice, and the other stuff would be secondary in my mind.

diana n.

Yelp
Ordered a Strawberry Matcha in a 12oz and it exceeded my expectations. This is definitely great quality matcha, didn't just taste like milk or sugar. The purée at the bottom really balanced out the slight bitterness of the matcha. If you like real matcha without any sweeteners this is a great place to try!

Yelp
What my boyfriend and I ordered: Neighborhood Plate - 10/10 The Neighborhood Plate was really tasty. My boyfriend felt the garlic rice was a bit underwhelming--he expected more than just garlic sprinkled over plain rice. Personally, I thought it was flavorful and had no complaints. Chicken Fried Steak - 8/10 Pretty much your classic chicken fried steak--nothing too unique, but it was solid. I do wish it had a bit more flavor, but overall, it was satisfying. Iced Ube Latte - 10/10 This was hands down our favorite. It had the perfect level of sweetness and was super flavorful. My boyfriend and I both agreed we'd come back just for this drink. Iced Black Sesame Latte - 7/10 I wasn't a huge fan of this one, but that's probably because I'm not into black sesame. It tasted like a regular iced latte with sesame bits. My boyfriend, though, thought it was a good pick. Overall: This spot is a great choice for both food and drinks. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. It is a bit on the pricey side, but in my opinion, it's worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Modern atmosphere for Filipino American drinks and food. Friendly service. And definitely some unique dishes like Ube Biscuits & Gravy.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was amazing. The food came out perfectly. The ube pancakes were soft and delicious. Settings is updated and clean. You order your food from the front and they will serve you at your choice of table. Portions is great. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Loved it! The coffee and matcha flights are so fun to sample. All the food was tasty and the staff was very friendly and fun. Be ready to drink multiple coffees when you go, because it's too hard to choose!

Yelp
I've been a few times, I always get the pandan latte with oat milk- the absolute best pandan latte in WA! Today I tried the neighborhood plate and I asked them to give me their favorite meat which was beef tapa. SO good! This was tasty AF, and I used all the sauce. It can be a little slow in delivering regardless of how busy they are so be patient. It's a nice place, cozy and the folks are real and wonderful. You feel right at home.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place -- it has a great concept and aesthetic, but the experience was disappointing. The prices are extremely high for what you get. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was a tiny portion, served cold, with cold gravy on top. For the price, I expected much better quality and care. I also tried the matcha and coffee flight, which sounded exciting but didn't deliver. The matcha was powdery and flavorless, and the coffee tasted very watered down. I'm also allergic to strawberries, and when I asked if one of the flight items could be substituted, the staff said no -- no accommodation at all, which felt careless and rigid. This place could be great, but the execution just isn't there right now. Poor value, lackluster flavors, and a disappointing customer service experience overall.

Yelp
This review is only for the drinks as we stopped by here for some coffee after lunch at BP. My baby was sleeping and I wasn't about to wake him so I could get coffee (iykyk) so my husband ran in to order to go. We got a small black sesame latte cold, regular ube latte cold, and a Milo milk tea with boba cold. 5/5 would recommend the ube latte. Has a good ube flavor but not overpowering and sweet and strong. 4/5 on the black sesame latte. Not much sesame flavor but the coffee was strong and not as sweet. So if you want a less sweet coffee get this one. 3/5 on the Milo milk tea. My kiddo liked it cause it has boba and it's sweet lol. The boba was hard and chewy like it was old and reheated. The drink looks cute but doesn't taste anything like a milk tea that I'm used to getting at boba shops. But it's also not called a Milo milk tea so maybe the comparison isn't there. Kiddo approved but not adult approved lol. Overall would come back if I'm in the area again. I don't live nearby. Would like to try the food next time and get the coffee flight which is dine in only.

Yelp
Such a pleasant experience trying this restaurant was 10/10. The food, service, and ambience 10/10 must try this place! I got lumpia which is a ball instead of traditional lumpia. I enjoyed it a lot has extra crunch to it. Very yummy. I came for the matcha flight which was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu
google avatar

Vinh M.

Yelp
I came by here around 30 or so minutes before closing time on a Friday evening. There's not a lot of seating inside though lighting is very bright and it wasn't too busy when I came in. My cashier was extremely friendly and also asked me about my day, which was really nice. You order your food first and then choose a seat to sit in if you choose to dine in. I chose the neighborhood plate with pork longanisa, and it comes with two sunny side-up eggs and garlic rice. Perfect blend of flavors as I had when I came here last year as well, pork longanisa had a pleasant smoky flavor to it. Garlic rice added more to the savory awesomeness that was this dish. Experience was very pleasant and I'd like to come back one day for brunch to try their other menu items and their coffee flight, which is a dine-in-only menu item!

Yelp
Quick service. You just order at the front and pick a table. Their calamansi iced tea was alright not the best. I personally like their lumpia even if it isn't as full it was still crispy and tasty. I would def come back for the chicken fried steak. The atmosphere is nice and decorated well.

Yelp
First time at this location and 2nd time at neighborhood cafe. The food tasted the same, still just okay but their drinks are tasty. Friendly service, definitely recommend this place for drinks, food is alright.

Yelp
Been wanting to check this cafe out for a while, so we made a quick mid-day caffeine stop on Saturday. I originally wanted to do the coffee flight since I have seen lots of friend's order that but didn't want to sit down and sip on the drinks, but next time! Once we walked in, it was not busy at all. There was maybe two other people in the cafe sitting and then our group of three. We were able to look over the menu and discuss amongst ourselves what we thought would be good to try. We also asked the cashier what she recommended; drink wise. She recommended the Pandan Latte. I went ahead and ordered the Pandan Latte, as well as the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Mint Mojito Coffee. We ordered all the drinks to be iced and the 16oz cup. We each tried all the drinks, and we think the Mint Mojito Coffee was the best out of the three we ordered. Overall, the drinks were great! It is a cute little cafe with a modern aesthetic. Also, super friendly staff! I am excited to come here again in the future!

Yelp
We stopped by for drinks and really enjoyed them! I got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee which was a 5/5 and my fiancé got the Ube Latte which he says was a 4/5. Drinks came out fast and the person at the front was helpful! She was honest about her feelings about the Matcha. Lol Ambiance was chill and quiet. It was actually empty at 3pm on a Saturday and they were no longer serving food. But something to note, their Yelp and Google states they close at 6pm, but there was a sign on the door that said they close at 430pm today. Me and my fiancé have tried to eat here multiple times and they seem to always be closed even on the weekends.

Yelp
Visiting seattle for a week and our first stop is at neighborhood cafe! We tried the coffee flight which contains 4 6oz samplers of the mint mojito coffee, black sesame latte, ube brulee latte, and coconut pandan iced latte. The server came and toasted the ube brulee one which was a nice touch! Ranking the 4 from my fav to least favorite! - ube brulee latte: sweet, love the toasted creme brulee on top! - Coconut pandan iced latte - the pandan foam was thick and creamy and had a nice strong flavor! Loved the coconut flakes on top which added to the overall taste of the drink! - Mint mojito coffee - super refreshing! I like the minty taste to it although the coffee taste wasn't that strong compared to the other three samplers - Black sesame latte - love the thick foam on top! I loved this one at first but i didn't like the aftertaste afterwards. My bf loved this one the most though so it worked out! Tip: mix the drinks before trying them! It tasted very different when i tried them all before mixing and after mixing them! I like that they have mimosas here and filipino based drinks that i've never seen before, and a bunch of food options! Would definitely come back and try different drinks!

Yelp
My first time here was great. My second time here was just OK. Was sad my longanisa came out a lil crispier than I wanted. I had to compare my photo with other reviews to make sure it was only me :/ The coffee however is AMAZING. Overall, cute, family friendly spot and would probably come back only for the drinks.

Yelp
Firstly, they have great coffee. Their coffee is like a caffeine pick me up and a dessert. If you end up going and there are no places to sit, at lest order a coffee to go. It's worth it. The first time I came here was for lunch on a weekday, roughly around noon. Parking is ample (super fantastic!) so getting a spot wasn't difficult at all. Neighborhood Cafe has rules; such as, order first, pay, then find a seat. Don't break the rules. Especially when they are busy. The rules are on the front door before you walk in, so you can't miss them. Once you've ordered, paid, given a number and found a place to it your food will come out as soon as its ready. Here what I got to try: Coffee Flight $17.96 Ube Biscuits & (Longanisa)Gravy $13.99 Fried Chicken Fried Steak $15.99 Chicken & Churros $15.99 The Coffee Flight came with 4 - 4oz samples of what I believe is their most popular coffee drinks. Mint Mojito, Black Sesame Latte, Ube Brulee Latte and Coconut Pandan. If you like Coffeeholic House coffee you'll surely like the Ube Brulee Latte and the Black Sesame. My Favourite was the Mint Mojito, it was a great balance of coffee and mint. Without it tasting like toothpaste. As for eats, I believed that the Chicken & Churros was probably the best. The churros came with an ube syrup to either dunk or pour on your freshly made churros. The sauce on the chicken wings was tangy and delightful. The other two dishes were good. But the pink longanisa gravy through me off visually. It was just so pink that I kept thinking I was going to be eating a strawberry gravy. My mind just couldn't comprehend what my eyes were seeing. The garlic rice was great and everything tasted good. After you finish, bus your own table so that it will make turn around quicker for the next people who are waiting for your table. Keep it up Neighborhood Cafe! Can't wait to try your sandwiches next time!

Yelp
We visited family over the weekend in Washington and before going to the airport to catch our flight, we stopped by The Neighbor Cafe and tried their breakfast. Impressed by the hospitality of this small shop. Small restaurant for dine in or take out. Food was different and good! Thanks Neighborhood Cafe for filling our tummies before our flight home to California

Yelp
The food is delicious. Outstanding flavors in everything. The service is always top notch with great ambiance. It's a cozy little neighborhood cafe and bar where you can enjoy a wonderful meal.

Yelp
Brunch goodness! Wish everything was a hotter temperature, but the taste was solid. Service was friendly and quick. Food came out so quickly. And the price was mostly under $16 per dish, which is reasonable in this Seattle market. Coffee flight was cute! And good. Distinctive flavors, and just the perfect size. Favorite was the churros and wings. Perfect fried churros, and seasoned nicely. And a good match for a savory wings that were nicely sized. Would come again :)

Yelp
I was on the hunt for an iced matcha drink today and found myself at neighborhood cafe. I ordered the ube matcha and... YUM! Will be back for more. My sis in law ordered the coconut matcha, but we were a bit disappointed and will be skipping that one next time. We were thinking it would be more milky/creamy but it seemed to be matcha poured on top of some coconut water lol. But definitely will be back for the ube matcha and want to try the others as well!

Yelp
LOVE this place. One of my favorite cafes to eat & drink at or order to go. I got 3-5 days a week since the day they opened.

Yelp
I came here with friends because we saw a really cute instagram reel! Maybe I had too high of expectations but I felt like the coffee flight wasn't really worth it. It was a fun concept to try a lot of different flavors at once and they came on a cute board, but I ended up only liking two drinks (the sesame and mint mojito). Here are my individual thoughts about each drink: 1) Pandan latte: it was yummy during the initial sip, but tasted the most bitter (even though we mixed the foam). This was the only drink we didn't finish! 2) Sesame latte: we thought it lacked a strong sesame flavor, but by the end, it had a more toasted taste. 3) Taro latte: by far the sweetest drink and also lacked a taro flavor. It was cool that the top was brûlée though! 4) Mint mojito: everyone's favorite drink, there's nothing bad to say about it! It was so smooth to drink and tasted light and refreshing. Overall I think there are cafes with better coffee, but I still enjoyed my experience. The waitress was kind and gave us a reasonable wait time (it was quite busy when we arrived at noon on a Sunday). We came by bus from Seattle and I don't know if it was worth the trip but maybe if you're in the area.

Yelp
I came here with friends to try the coffee flight. The inside was decorated super aesthetically with lots of plants everywhere. it was smaller inside than I expected and pretty busy but it was a Saturday afternoon so that's to be expected. We ordered at the front and had to wait like 5 minutes for a table which was not bad at all! The coffee flight was super cute and had some interesting flavors. My favorite was the mint mojito which was super refreshing and smooth. I think the I didn't really taste the ube in the ube latte and I thought that one was too sweet for my liking. The pandan foam was pretty good, but it didn't mix well with the coffee so the drink itself was kinda bitter. I really enjoyed the concept of a coffee flight and think it's worth is to try. The food also looked good, but we unfortunately did not try any. I would come back for the mint mojito drink!

Yelp
Food is a letdown. The best things were the banana lumpia on the banana latte and the lumpia on top of the lumpia salad. The latte came with whole milk so I couldn't drink it but what I could drink was good, espresso strong and not overpowering, the banana milk is incredible. The salad itself was overdressed and sort of drowning in "dressing" and too tart, the crunch wrap was bland- lacked any sort of flavor, beef was tough but the sear on the tortilla was great, the ube biscuit was burnt and essentially inedible...hard and crumbly. The service was top notch, super friendly.

Yelp
We ordered the Ube latte and white chocolate mocha. The ube latte tasted bitter and the white mocha was super sweet. Food came out semi warm, the chicken fried steak was bland. The rice was just okay, I personally didn't like the sauce on the chicken. The employees were all friendly! You place your order in the front and they'll deliver your food to your table. However, you get the drinks in the front. Their policy for tables is to order your food first and then you can sit down (which makes sense). Utensils are in the front and you have to bust your own table. The cafe is a decent size. There's a parking lot, so lots of parking and easy to access.

Yelp
Very cute Filipino fusion cafe - the coffee flight caught my eye when I saw it on social media, but also came here to try the food. Order/pay at the counter and then get your seat. Seating is first come first serve and definitely gets busy on the weekend, so try to avoid peak times if you want to dine in because there is pretty limited seating. The coffee flight contains four different lattes: mint mojito, ube caramel brulee (torched at the table for you), black sesame, and coconut pandan. My favorites had to be the ube and the coconut pandan. The ube was so creamy and had a nice subtle ube flavoring to it. Kind of reminded me of Coffeeholic's Coffeeholic Dream. The coconut pandan had pretty strong pandan flavoring to me. The black sesame was lacking in the nutty flavor that other black sesame lattes I've tried before had. It just tasted like a regular latte to me. The mint mojito definitely tasted very minty - but didn't taste like there was any espresso in it so it just tasted like mint water. Though, in my opinion the espresso is not very strong in any of these drinks. For food we ordered the Neighborhood plate, chicken fried steak, ube biscuits and gravy, and the chopped cheese. For dessert we got the banana french toast. Our favorites out of the four were the Neighborhood plate with pork longanisa sausage and the chicken fried steak. The garlic fried rice was so garlicky and flavorful - definitely made these dishes more tasty. The gravy on the chicken fried steak and ube biscuits and gravy is made with longanisa and so delicious! It was my favorite part. The ube biscuit threw me off from the sweetness with the gravy, but I am just not a very sweet + savory together person. The banana bread french toast was delicious - I liked that it was soft from the banana bread and had a lot of banana flavor. I would recommend that one as well if you want something sweet. Overall, the food items are good, but nothing stands out as extraordinary.

Yelp
Looooove new takes on Filipino food, but this kinda missed the mark for me. Maybe it's the price for what you get? I paid about $42 for two dishes and a latte. And then I went to Jollibee across the street to eat chicken because I was still hungry. Heh Service was pretty fast and friendly. Longanisa smash: the egg was a bit undercooked for my liking and the longanisa didn't have enough of a savory flavor or maybe it wasn't reminiscent of longanisa when mixed with the rest of the ingredients. For the price of $15, I wish it came with some other side instead of a small salad. Although, I enjoyed the vinegar in both the salad and pickled onions to cut the richness of the burger. Savory waffle: this reminded me of okonomiyaki with the creamy and sweet sauces drizzled on top, small pieces of meat mixed in and the cabbage texture. I enjoyed the new flavors in this dish!

Yelp
Food was honestly mid but the coffee flights were good. They had the first concept of Asian inspired coffee flights but more places have copied this concept and it's now available in Seattle area. Lots of parking available though.

Yelp
Although the food looks like it's on a smaller end, it was very flavorful! The Longanisa Smash can get messy with a runny egg but believe me, you will enjoy it so much that you can't tell that you have all these grease around your face. The Turon Milk Tea was SO delicious that I hope they will put it in their regular menu! I had to order extra Turon on the side to bring to my family and they LOVED it.

Yelp
Great concept for a Filipino brunch place! It's definitely something unique that I haven't seen yet in the Seattle area. The selection of food seems to be great with a bit of fusion and refined Filipino dishes. Have to keep in mind this is a fast casual place and you need to bus your own tables. We ordered the Neighborhood plate and the House Hash, both dishes were good but I thought there was more potatoes than pork belly in it. Would also have been nice to have dine in cups although they did do some nice latte art for the Ube latte. Overall I would come back since price is moderate for what you get.

Yelp
This cafe is so aesthetically pleasing and clean but when it's busy, IT'S BUSY. Seats are very limited and it's first come, first serve but some customers don't understand that. I ordered the chicken fried steak with garlic fried rice and the coffee flight. I highly recommend the coffee flight! The chicken fried steak was good but it was tough. The garlic rice was delicious with longonisa gravy! I would definitely visit the Neighborhood Cafe for drinks and when they come out with their cocktails!

Yelp
Order at the counter then find a seat. The cashier will give you a number and your food will be delivered to your table. If nothing else, come for the coffee flight! It includes a buko pandan, black sesame, ube brûlée, and mint cold brew. Very foamy, sweet and delicious. The breakfast was good but nothing particularly special. The neighborhood breakfast is your typical silog style with options of chicken or pork longanisa. Avoid the lumpia! $8 for three mostly veggie filled egg rolls is just not worth the price. This is not the best place for large groups. The tables are small and best suited for two people.
