All the Restaurant Openings in Dallas, May 2025 | Eater Dallas

"A small West Dallas Korean spot centered on fried tofu skin used to make sushi-style rolls filled with fried rice and toppings such as beef bulgogi, butter crab, raw or torched salmon, spicy pork, and tuna; beverages include brightly colored ades (guava, mango, kiwi, strawberry), lemonade, and Korean iced coffee. The tiny location has a few tables but is primarily geared toward takeout." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
We rate this 4.5 out of 5 the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered a veriety of yubu fried tofu skin items including salmon and beef bulgogi and all were very good. Note, that this is a take out only spot. The service was quick. This spot is well suited for quick eats pit stop.

Google
A great spot for a quick bite! I tried three of their Yubu (Inari sushi), including the Torched Salmon, Spicy Pork, and Mentaiko. While they were all decent, the Mentaiko was definitely the winner for me as it had the most flavor. The Torched Salmon and Spicy Pork were decent but could use slightly more flavor. However, the real star of the show was the Rose Tteokbokki. It is easily one of the best I’ve had in Dallas so far. It tastes exactly like the authentic versions I've had in Korea, super creamy and flavorful. Definitely worth a stop for the Tteokbokki alone! Service: The staff is really nice. They take your order from outside, and then you wait in your car for them to bring it to you.

Google
Fresh Salmon is by far the best one on the menu. The bacon kimchi was pretty good. Mild, but good. The egg mayo gave off a deviled egg taste and was light and soft. Tofu taste like tofu and the butter crab had a nice flavor to it. Everything I had was worth the price and very palatable. You won't get anything bad off the menu.

Google
We tried the bulgogi, spicy pork, tuna mayo, egg mayo, and myungran mayo - none of them disappointed!! They were all so juicy and packed with flavor without being salty. The textures were all so balanced, I literally had to go back immediately to get more before I left the premises. I cannot recommend this place enough!! It is hands down the best yubu rice I have ever had. Ever!! Not to mention the price is really good for the taste and quality. Make sure to be ready to wait a bit on your order. There is also no indoor or outdoor seating/waiting area so make sure to take a car and be able to wait inside that car. Also the neighborhood is a little sketchy so lock your doors while you wait!

Google
I was originally upset as I didn’t realize it was take out only (as far as I know) since it was a 35 minute drive for me, but let me tell you. The second I had that first bite when I got home I changed my mind and instantly decided this place was worth not only the drive but the lack of an interior. This has to be some of the best food I’ve tried in the DFW area recently. You HAVE to try the mentaiko, it was so creamy and delicious. If you’re not afraid of raw fish I’d absolutely recommend the fresh salmon as well, it’s perfectly balanced with some mayo, and some wasabi that adds some flavor without being overpowering and was actually sweet. I’d rate this higher than a 5 if possible. Will be making the hour round trip drive again.

Google
Only $10 for a good portion of Rose Tteokbokki with bacon and fish cakes! We waited less than 10 minutes for 2x Tteokbokki. We will be coming back to try the Yubu whenever we are in town. Setting: There is one little bench outside, they also offer to bring it out to your car. There is no indoor seating, but bathrooms are available upon request.

Google
Very tasty, and something really different which I enjoyed. Not a ton of vegetarian options, there was egg, carrot, and tofu, but I still feel like they could have done better. That's an area for improvement, but the food was fresh and had really interesting flavors. I got the butter crab, torched salmon (my favorite), fresh salmon, and myungran mayo. My only thought is the texture was all soft, it would be nice to have some toppings that have more to chew or crunch.

Those Tilted G.

Google
I tried the Tuna, Torched Salmon, Cheese Buldak, and Beef Bulgogi. Not one disappointed! They were all fun-size servings, but not lacking in rich flavor. The sweetness and spice levels were just right—not too much or too little. Man, that was good! The friendly staff meet you outside their restaurant to take your order. You can’t dine in, so keep the car running, but at least they’re pretty quick, so you won’t sit waiting too long. I'm coming back soon, and I recommend you do so to try their cuisine.

Yelp
i LOVE inari and neko yubu does it perfectly! each one is packed with both rice and filling. the mentaiko was the most interesting, creamy, rich and savory. my favorite was the salmon - fresh and tasty they all taste how you'd expect, but still brings immense comfort and satisfaction with each bite! there's no seating and they bring your order to your car

Yelp
Located inside a prep kitchen complex, this spot is takeout only. Super easy to order online or just walk up. The staff is really friendly and happy to explain their concept if you're new to it. Everything comes as toppings over rice inside a deep, thin, sweet fried tofu pocket. The sweetness works for some combos but not all. I ordered an 8-piece set: tofu, myungran, butter crab, spicy pork, bulgogi, egg, kimchi bacon, and salmon. Overall, it was a bit too sweet for me, but I really liked the egg, the myungran (wish it had more/larger salmon roe), and the buttery crab. If you haven't tried it before, swing by for something different!

Yelp
Before my trip to Dallas, I've been seeing so many mukbangs of this restaurant. I had to add it to my list and so glad I got try it!! I had no idea that the restaurant had a break from 3-5 pm. However, they still take online orders! There's no where to sit so we did take out and sat on the bench outside. We ordered the rose tteokboki, strawberry + guava ade, beef bulgogi, grilled spicy pork, fresh salmon, torched salmon, butter crab, and tuna mayo. LET ME TELL YOU !! The strawberry ade was SO refreshing especially since it was freaking 90 degrees outside. The yubu is such a yummy picnic meal or if you want a snack! My favorite was the fresh salmon and the grilled spicy pork. You can skip the rose tteokboki but I felt like it wasn't that fresh in my opinion. I loved the concept and hope to be back again (with seating hopefully???)!

Yelp
After finding out about this place thanks to social media, my sister and I had to try this place out while we're in Dallas. The order process is easy, and our food was prepared on time. They offer curbside pickup, which I appreciate. We decided to try 5 different flavors and the yuba soup. The spicy pork and cheese buldak were our favorites. Since it was our first time trying this type of cuisine, we shared the meal, but next time I would order my own box to enjoy for a more filling meal.

Yelp
Delicious Yubu! Yubu is small, marinated, fried tofu pockets (yubu) stuffed with seasoned rice and various toppings. The service was fast and friendly. The ambience is not much, because there is no dining in. There was a bench outside. But it is mainly for pick up or delivery. The exterior looked nice. Worth checking out, and especially eating with a friend so you can split the box of eight.
google avatar

Anjelica N.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place and it was so yum! Everything that I got was so delicious and flavorful, and I loved how it was the perfect sizes. I got the fresh salmon, torched salmon, cheese buldak, and egg mayo. My boyfriend and I shared and it was a good serving just for a little snack. Keep in mind this place is a ghost kitchen, so you can place it our order online for pick up or just go there and place your order. THERE ARE NO TABLES!! Like I said it's a ghost kitchen so more of a grab and go concept. I can't wait to come back and try the other options out!!
google avatar

Bryan V.

Yelp
So so good. You order takeout here and they'll bring it to your car. I tried the butter crab, mentaiko, torched salmon, and fresh salmon. The mentaiko impressed me a lot; it didn't have that fishy taste or smell at all. Very creamy and pleasant to eat. Both the salmon options were delicious. The salmon was of good quality... I'd give the edge to the torched salmon. The butter crab was simply rich deliciousness in my mouth. This is the perfect light lunch.
google avatar

Genevieve M.

Yelp
It was super easy to order online and do curbside pickup! As soon as I parked, the girl noticed my car and came out immediately. I ordered the box of 4. My favorite was the torched salmon! Next time I would pick something else over the butter crab. 1) Butter Crab 2) Fresh Salmon ($0.25) 3) Torched Salmon ($0.25) 4) Beef Bulgogi
google avatar

Yelp
Saw the hype for Neko Yubu all over Instagram and TikTok, so I had to try it!! I ordered the butter crab, tuna mayo, tofu, egg mayo, grilled beef bulgogi, fresh salmon, torched salmon, and grilled spicy pork. Everything was good, but nothing really stood out from the rest-it very much blended with everything. Service wise, I had placed my order online about 45 minutes in advance, but when I arrived it wasn't ready. Turns out someone came in, claimed to be me, and took my food... how are you going to steal food from others especially from a ghost kitchen of all places lol. Thankfully, the staff remade my order quickly and handled it very well. Overall, the food is definitely cute and Instagram worthy, but a little over hyped in my opinion. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if a friend wanted to go, I'd join them!

Yelp
5/5 Really good food! Just a heads up takeout only! I didn't realize at first, so we had to drive somewhere else to eat. Still giving it 5 stars because everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the cute signs on the door were a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Kelly W.

Yelp
Cute yubu takeout concept! Reminds me of a couple yubu places I've been in nyc. It's take out only, no sit ins though there is a bench outside you could sit if you wanted to. The yubu flavors that I felt were really strong were the myungran(명란)/mentaiko, kimchi bacon, and beef bulgogi. The other ones were still delicious, but wish it was a bit more flavorful. For example, the egg mayo was really fresh but it was more on the bland side, more than what I'm used to when eating Korean style egg mayo dishes. We also had to wait for a bit despite ordering quite some time ahead, but the workers were really nice and kept us in the loop the entire time. Will be back for sure, highly recommend!
google avatar

Jaiden R.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place!! You get so much value for your money and a 4-pack box can definitely go a long way in terms of ensuring you are full. I tried the bulgogi, buttery crab, torched salmon, and kimchi bacon and all were 10/10. This place is very casual and carry out only, so definitely be aware of that. I would recommend ordering ahead online if you can, but if you order at the restaurant the prep time was pretty quick so you wont have to wait long. The owner was also very friendly and patient with helping me decide what to order!
google avatar

Khoa N.

Yelp
This is a very interesting concept. It becomes even more interesting when you find out the "restaurant" is in the middle of a business park. Tofu pockets with different fillings. Or should I say SWEETENED tofu pockets. I don't know why it's sweetened, even though I like the taste. However, sometimes I think it's a little TOO sweet... The majority of the fillings are good. I like the butter crab the most. The spicy ones can pack a little kick so be careful. They also have seasonal items and "limited time" fillings/flavors as well so you will need to follow them on Instagram to find out more. A quick note, Neko Yubu is TOGO ONLY. You place the order online then go pick it up or have it delivered to you (for additional fee).
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the taste and experience at Neko Yubu. It is a pick up and go style of dining and the system and staff are super nice anx convenient. The food was very unique and delicious. It was full of flavors and had a great variety. I 100% recommend everyone to at least give it a try. It is definitely worth it!
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
I would rate this place a 4.5/5. While this place is really unique and they make food that's quite rare in dallas, it's an interesting set up. There is no inside waiting area or seating. There is also a lack of signage that says to wait outside for someone to come out to take our order, and you just awkwardly stand in front of the door waiting (though we didn't have to wait long). Just keep that in mind! The food itself though was very good, there are even 2 types of salmon- one torched and the other not torched. The sauces added are also a little different, there's wasabi mayo in the fresh salmon. The meat to rice ratio was excellent as well, they piled the protein on. I do really appreciate that while we were waiting for our food outside, they brought us a little snack to munch on. They didn't have to do that, but they wanted to make sure their customers are happy!

Yelp
Very happy Dallas has a yubuchobap/ yubu place now as it is one of my favorite street food/on the go type food. This place is take out only. So, don't expect to be able to sit inside to eat your food. The food itself is good but not the best I ever had. My personal fav was the chicken buldak! I think the raw salmon would be better without the tartare like sauce they put on it. It is very messy to eat as the filling does tend to spill over if you are not strategic with your bites. So, make sure you have napkins on hand. Overall, I think it is good especially to those who never tried it before but it did not really wow me.
google avatar

Sara N.

Yelp
The perfect bite size! My favorite was the egg one, I would recommend that one. The salmon and bulgogi were alright, but they are filling for sure. We came close to the end of their lunch and ordered online. They were kind enough to bring it out to us.
google avatar

Johnny H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the yubuchobap here. The toppings and rice are very generous and I thought 3-4 was very filling. I liked that the tofu skins are lightly charred and seasoned well. My favorites were the torched salmon and bulgogi but most of the other options were still very good. My only complaint was that a few of the meat options were a little dry, particularly the spicy pork and cheese buldak (chicken).
google avatar

Vianai A. C.

Yelp
Came on a weekday night and got the buttered crab, bulgogi, spicy pork, and kimchi bacon. They were really good, the beef and pork ones were our favorites!! Service was super fast and easy and we waited in the car while they prepared our order. To go only!!
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
I came here last week and im already craving it again. This new yubu place is in Dallas serving tofu skin with toppings such as salmon, pork, egg mayo, and more. My favorite has to be the cheesy buldak. If you like spicy, this is great! I liked all of these toppings though. They were all so savory and the tofu skin was sweet so it makes a great pairing. You can order through the website and pick up or order there! They don't have any seats its pickup only. The food came out quick on a weekend though :)
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Happened to look this up on Yelp and gave it a try. There's no seating inside and in fact, they came out to take our order. We ordered 4 4-piece boxes. I got the tofu, egg mayo, torched salmon, and spicy pork. The tofu was nicely flavored as was the egg. Salmon was good and the spicy pork had good flavor, too, but was a little salty. We asked for less rice, but I don't think they were able to modify. I ended up only eating half the rice. It's a good concept to fill with different toppings and would return if ever in town. Was a great pack to take on the plane for a long ride home.
google avatar

Phi N.

Yelp
Just a heads up: this place is takeout only! A worker will take your order outside the shop and get your license plate so you can wait in your car and they'll bring out your order. It took us about 20 mins to get our order since we were behind two other orders. The mango ade was very refreshing but the Korean coffee was a bit on the sweet side. I was sad that my miso soup had no bits of tofu in it and the flavor was a bit bland. However, the yubu was very tasty and reasonably priced. We wanted to try multiple toppings so we got the box of 8. The tofu skin had a hint of sweetness which was good. Our favorites were the butter crab, spicy pork and torched salmon but they were all pretty good. The tofu and the tuna may have been our least favorite. Overall pretty good for a quick bite!
google avatar

Airah G.

Yelp
Ordering through their website was seamless. As a visual learner, I appreciate the pictures of each item, it made it easy to determine which one I wanted to try! Everything was delicious! My bf & I enjoyed it all. I decided to also eat this with spicy ramen and egg, which made it even better. Will be returning for more!!
google avatar

Miaomiao

Yelp
My husband saw Neko Yubu on TikTok, so we decided to give it a try. Since it's pickup only, we ordered and waited in the car. The packaging was super cute! We got one of each flavor and a Tteokbokki, and everything tasted great!
google avatar

Cat N.

Yelp
Judging from the look of what I got and what the instagram influencers got. Mine did not look like theirs. I ordered: butter crab, seared and fresh salmon, spicy pork, bulgogi. Butter crab and seared salmon were the better ones but all were mid. Spicy pork had so much salt in it. I couldn't finish. The strawberry sparkling was ok as well. Strawberry syrup not strawberry compote in the drink. This is a ghost kitchen, they don't have a sign in the front
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
Neko Yubu operates from a ghost kitchen so there is no dine-in area, but you can order ahead online for pick up. I ordered the four piece box which lets you pick 4 different flavors. I went with their fresh salmon, torched salmon, cheese buldak, and tuna yubu! All the flavors were perfectly seasoned and tasted fresh. I thought there would be too much rice for my liking, but it was actually the perfect amount of rice in each bite. My favorite flavors were their torched salmon and the spicy cheese buldak! Love the concept and cute packaging. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their menu!
google avatar

Kyuri H.

Yelp
Neko Yubu is to-go only and has no indoor seating. You can't go in at all, so my group ate in the car. There is a bench to sit on while waiting though. Their pieces were smaller than I thought from how social media made it look. I ended up ordering more after receiving my first order, so I could get full. Some of the yubus were dry like the tuna. The fresh salmon with tartar sauce didn't go well together, but that might just be for my tastebuds. The staff is super nice and patient, and they had free drinks for every box order.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
soo good! my friend picked up a set for us to try and i got the fresh salmon & torched salmon. although the tofu pockets are sweet, i really enjoyed both and i would go back to try different flavors!
google avatar

Sally R.

Yelp
Seamless order online , fast ordering done in less than 10 minutes. Drinks are in reusable cups.
google avatar

Simon W.

Yelp
Unique place making small bites. Worth it if you are looking for a quick snack. There's no seating so you need to take it home to eat.
google avatar

Peyton V.

Yelp
The butter crab was the fan favorite but it's with imitation crab so that was deceiving but it was still tasty. The spicy pork was alright just wish it was actually spicy. The fresh salmon was good and I liked the wasabi sauce with it. My friend got the beef bulgogi and she said it wasn't good and it was like minced beef and not bulgogi. The seared salmon she liked though. Both my friends got soups, miso and tofu, they said they'd pass on them.
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
This place has become my little secret spot, and I'm absolutely hooked. They've got a unique take on sushi using tofu skin unlike traditional sushi and it's really good. My favorites are the fresh salmon and the torched salmon (always a go-to for me). The wasabi mayo sauce on the fresh salmon is a perfect harmony of flavor. It's a takeout and delivery-only spot (no dine-in), but the quality is so good, I don't even mind. Definitely recommend giving this hidden gem a try if you're looking for something different and seriously delicious.
google avatar

Alli L.

Yelp
Growing up, I've had this before but the basic version without all the fun toppings. We got the 6 pack: butter crab, tuna mayo, egg mayo, fresh salmon, torched salmon, and cheese buldak. We also ordered their regular tteokbokki. Everything was good! All of the yubu were all delicious in their own unique way. My favorite was the fresh salmon because it has wasabi mayo , the cheese buldak was very flavorful and not too spicy, I really like butter crab. The other 3 yubu, I would order again but would also be open to substituting with another item that I haven't tried. I do want to try grilled spicy pork next time. Tteokbokki is decently spicy so beware for anyone who can't handle spice. If you get to the bottom of your yubu and there is mostly rice and fish cake left then you can dip that into the tteokbokki sauce. The main downside is that they are like 25 mins away from me and there is nowhere to eat, so we took it back to our home. Still wanting to come back another time. Service: the girl who came out to give out food was very friendly.
google avatar

Gem M.

Yelp
Ordered online for curbside pick up & the service was pretty quick! The food was really good, I enjoyed everything I ordered. I think my favorites were the egg mayo & torched salmon!

Divine T.

Yelp
Firstly beware this is NOT a sit down restaurant or even a place that you can walk into. Walk up rung the bell and they will come out to take your order. But These little pockets were really good and surprisingly pretty filling. The tofu pocket part is sweet and soft, unexpected but I enjoyed it. I would get these again BUT I will say the service was extremely slow. I ordered online ahead about 20 min and still had to wait in my car for an hour once I got there because my order was not ready.
google avatar

Jenny P.

Yelp
Such a delicious place. The rice was encased in a fried tofu skin. The rice was sweet and fluffy. The toppings were the right proportions. I'll be back!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
Food was really just okay. Only thing that I would recommend was the Fresh Salmon. The other ones I've tried were lacking in flavor. Ordering was easy as I did it online and just came to pick it up. Ambience is nice, I think this place needs an improvement on food quality & should be better. 5/10
google avatar

Yeeun L.

Yelp
I am so excited that Dallas has a spot that sells yubu. I love that I get to try different flavors. My personal favorite is the cheese buldak. I also got the strawberry refresher.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Exactly what Dallas needed! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is incredibly kind. It's a healthy, satisfying option--perfect for a quick meal at work or a great lunchbox for the kids. So glad to have this spot in town!
google avatar

Erin K.

Yelp
Food was delicious and loved the presentation however i got sick from the salmon unfortunately and i am fighting for my life out here i'll probably be back for the fully cooked options but im kinda scared of the raw ones now...

Zafina A.

Yelp
This is a pickup only place. Unlike the other pickup places next to them, people actually came out and took our order. They were very delicious. Sweet in flavor and the charred gave a nice barbecue flavor.
google avatar

Larissa H.

Yelp
We found this place on Instagram with my coworkers and decided to place an order to have in the office. Despite being a pickup-only spot, nothing feels "to-go" about the food, each dish is packed with the care and presentation you'd expect from a dine-in fine dining restaurant. Everything arrived fresh, and perfectly packaged, not a single spill or soggy bite in sight. Highlights? The egg mayo and fresh salmon are a must try!!! We are definitely gonna be ordering often!!

Amber L.

Yelp
Love this place and Rose tteokbokki! My favorite is torched Salmon and egg mayo. I know that this place is only to go but highly recommend to go on a outdoor picnic nearby at Griggs Park or Klyde Warren Park.

nina k.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Love the wide variety of flavors. Great spot to grab a quick bite.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
We didn't even get a chance to eat. The place doesn't even let you in the door! You're expected to order from outside. I requested no rice, which I feel like is an easy enough request. However, they were not willing to accommodate us...

Jihye N.

Yelp
It's the only yubu spot in DFW, and I'll def be back for more!! Each yubu was absolutely PACKED w flavor and topped so generously, too. I especially loved the torched, smoky finish - such a nice touch. Every flavor we tried was delicious, and the rose tteokbokki and drinks were just as impressive. Even the packaging and utensils were noticeably high quality, which I really appreciated. You can tell they care about the details! :)

Esther S.

Yelp
Food was amazing and service was great! Will definitely come back to grab a quick bite for lunch or on the way home from work!

Jessenia M.

Yelp
Bulgogi, tuna, spicy pork, torched salmon. Ordered for delivery. My favorite by far was the tuna. I would love to see if they can make the tofu skin fried for a crispy factor.

Paul E.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it. Its just a kitchen no dine in. When I go back imma order all crab and salmon.
