The Best Restaurants In Oxford - Oxford - The Infatuation

"The hissing of the La Marzocco, swiss cheese plants dotted around, and fragrant almond croissant deliveries are what mornings at Nepa are filled with. Bring that friend who sighs whenever they see a Costa and calls a latte a pint. Nepa is the real deal. Flat whites are six ounces exactly, syrups are shunned, and the bakes on the counter are far from an afterthought. Sourdough cinnamon rolls and thick cuts of banana bread are lapped up by the early afternoon. We’re particularly into the spiced apple and cinnamon loaf that has slices of moist, slightly firm apples throughout. Bring a laptop and type away during the week, or pop in at the weekend and perch on the stools by the big window. It’s perfectly positioned on St Clement’s Street for excellent people-watching." - rianne shlebak

Amazing coffee at a very reasonable price, considering how clean and modern it is. Could easily increase the prices and charge what most establishments of similar quality do. We were served by the owner himself, a very kind man who exudes a passion for both the coffee he brews and the customers he serves. It is quite small inside, which is a nice alternative to the high-volume hustle and bustle of a regular café. I plan to come back every time I visit Oxford, and cannot recommend it enough.

High quality coffee! Small cafe but cozy, modern vibes. Friendly owner. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the banana bread because it was too sweet/cake-like - but I’m a health nut. I would come back for the coffee.

the BEST iced dirty chai!! Such a cute little coffee shop on St Clement’s, it feels really homey and the barista was lovely. I am not a fan of sweet drinks but my friend had recommended their iced dirty chai latte and it did not disappoint!!!! It tastes like a liquid cinnamon roll 😍 Will be back soon 🤩

Wish I could give more stars! Best coffee place in Oxford, regardless of who was working I had a great experience every time: the minimal internist design makes it a calming spot in a busy city - with great opening hours for an early morning reading session. The pastries were always fantastic, and the coffee and matcha were always on point too. Thank you for everything (including your kind spirit and generosity)!! True gem!!

A hidden gem! This small but welcoming coffee shop has a minimalist charm, with a large window that offers a lovely view of the street. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing breakfast. The coffee is exceptional—rich- bodied, aromatic, and expertly brewed. The hot chocolate was just as delightful, smooth and comforting. My husband and I truly enjoyed our breakfast here, and the service was just as wonderful as the drinks. A place we’ll definitely return to!!

I love small independent coffee shops, and Nepa on St. Clements ticks all the boxes. A very simple set-up and all the importance is given to the coffee. Coming to the coffee, it is there with the best I have tested. The owner knows his roasts and loves to experiment. A very knowledgeable coffee expert in his own right, he also gave me a good advice on coffee machine and different roasts. Looking forward for many more visits. Ah and they have a FREE WIFI, which is really needed on St. Clements. Do visit this lovely little coffeshop while you wait for the bus, you will surely be amused.

The most wonderful wee coffee shop! I’m was in Oxford visiting from Scotland for a few days and I’ll miss it so much! Great coffee and selection of cakes and pastries. More so, the customer service is excellent and the shop playlist is very well chosen - very coffee shop / study vibes. If you’re ever expanding, pretty please consider a Glasgow shop. :D
