Neri's Casual Filipino Dining

First time customer and first time trying Filipino food after being referred by a friend. When I tell you the food is amazing along with the customer service. 10 out of 10 I will be back. I ordered the Lechon Kawali with garlic rice. I almost cried it tasted so good! Definitely stop by, be kind, and tip them. The place is kind of small but the food speaks for itself.

We always eat here, whenever we have business at the Philippines Consulate across the street. The food is delicious, reminiscent of Filipino cuisine; and yes, we are Filipino and we do travel/live in the Visayan islands. They do sometimes run out of proteins (i.e. beef, pork, etc), so we're unable to order our favorites. However, that means we sample something else from the menu (not a bad thing). The seating area is on the small side, but they get busy/crowded because their food is good. We've gotten our food to-go a couple times, and eaten outside (there's nice spots around the building where the Philippines Consulate is). There is a single restroom, which sometimes means waiting in line. The service is very friendly, and prompt when you ask for anything.

Tastes good with a wide variety of items to choose from. I ordered the lechon kawali plate with Shanghai lumpia and it's a lot of food for 1 person.

Neri's is the kind of Filipino comfort food that makes you feel taken care of. The Sinigang Spareribs hit exactly right when you are under the weather. That sour, savory broth cuts through everything and warms you from the inside out. The Adobo is reliably great, tender pork with that deep, braised flavor. My only gripe is the meat can lean fatty sometimes, and I would take more broth over extra fat any day. But that is a minor complaint for a dish that still delivers. Both plates are salty, but that comes with the territory for Filipino cooking. You know what you are signing up for. Paid about $37 through DoorDash for two entrees. Reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality you get. This is homestyle food from a local spot, not trying to be fancy, just trying to be good. It succeeds. The kind of place worth keeping in rotation when you want something cozy and filling.

This review is based off of an Uber eats delivery. This is solid Filipino food. I’m pretty sure if I ate these items at the location and straight from the kitchen, it would have been better. I ordered their Kare Kare, fresh lumpia, sisig with garlic rice and their pancit palabok. Their Kare Kare was above average and the bagoong was on point. There was lots of tender meat pieces along with juicy beef chunks. Overall a solid dish. The sisig with garlic rice was pretty good also and when mixed with the garlic rice it’s an excellent combination. The fresh lumpia was also good but I misordered but it was still descent. The pancit palabok was very flavorful and overall the food was great. I’d definitely order from here again and probably try their food at the restaurant for the full dining experience.

Neri’s Casual Filipino Dining restaurant one of our favorite places to go have lunch after our appointment in the Philippines council. The barbecue chicken and beef bulaldo soup were absolutely delicious. Service was great, restaurant and restroom were clean and in good condition.

We were visiting from SF Bay Area with family, and we wanted to do a Kamayan meal together. Neri’s delivered an excellent experience with delicious food all around! Highly recommend this restaurant, as they are so warm & friendly, serving such good food! They’ve got parking underground and will validate before you leave.

I absolutely adore this place! Neri's is the Filipino restaurant I would always go to if I am ever craving something that tastes like home. Some of the favorite dishes I would get are sinigang, lechon kawali, and laing. You could never go wrong with these amazing dishes! The service itself was also impeccable! If you are looking for a Filipino establishment in Ktown, head to Neri's! You won't regret it.

1 1/2 minute read: The original NERIS was on Occidental Blvd. And we lost track of where NERIS went ... till today. I came on YELP and typed CRISPY PATA, and NERIS POPPED UP. Here we are. Happy again. While there, the cashier told me the Owner was in the Kitchen but was busy. I didn't want to bother him (Owner) so I didn't insist on saying "HELLO ", but while our order was being prepared, guess who comes out of the kitchen? Yep. The Owner. When he caught a glimpse of of my wife and I, his eyes popped wide, lifted his right hand and pointed a finger at us, saying "WELL LOOKY HERE!" We knew the Owners, from when they had the restaurant on Occidental Blvd, near Hoover at Wilshire. The Owners are the husband, ROMY & his dear wife NERI. While we ate his food, he told us why they moved their restaurant. We got to know them because they knew my wife's Father since back in the 80's. Anyway, go enjoy some CRISPY PATA and meet ROMY. I'd like to express my Gratitude to Neri's Restaurant and her Wonderful Family and Crew, for their Amazing Services provided with our Holiday Party. From the very beginning, in placing my order directly with Neri, she has been so Professional, Kind, and Gracious to accommodating our requests in planning our Holiday event. They were patient in working with our requests and showed up on time to set up our event. Their set up and service of their buffet line provided by Tess, Trisha and family were top notch and highly professional. They were the Best Crew! ~and Neri's Food~ Such a Huge Hit!! Everything not only looked amazing, but was delicious, and tasted so flavorful and good. We esp. enjoyed the presentation of the lechon (roasted pig) and how it was served added character and celebration to our buffet line, which fit in with our Holiday theme. It was moist and flavorful, and the skin~ so crispy~ complimented by Neri's homemade lechon sauce. Our guests also loved the fish, butter veggies, and their pancit ~were so good! I especially loved the roast beef and mushrooms. We can't forget the delicious lumpia and cassava cake for apps/dessert included, and Elegant Fruit Punch Fountain that was a perfect complement! Freshly made and authentic Filipino food. They have Kamayan feast here. Reserve at least 48 hrs advance. Will have to try Kamayan here next time. Parking lot is below Neri's. Same your receipts for discounted parking, minimum purchase $20.

So yummy! Found this place via YouTube. I got food to go before driving up to San Francisco. And it was the best road trip snack.

This restaurant never disappoints. The price is right and the service is kind. Everything is reasonably priced and delicious and housed in the heart of K Town where there is plentiful options this is one you should keep in mind. I've had their pancit before, but I've also really enjoyed their lumpia Shanghai. They are small but come in a 14 piece pack is not a fancy place but that's OK because the service makes up for it.

We had dinner last Friday and it was fairly good. We had crispy dinuguan, fresh lumpia, chicken empanada, and Okoy. I think I enjoyed the Okoy the most. The staff is welcoming, the service is fast and the owners are hospitable. One of the Filipino food places you can come to.

We got Pork Adobo with garlic rice and salad (2.5/5 I love the garlic rice and salad, wish I got more salad, but the adobo was a little salty for me personally) Tocino Garlic Rice with fried Additional Egg (and tomato comes with Vinegar and papaya sauce (5/5 this is how tocino supposed to taste like, I'd get it every single time) Overall, I would come back to this place again!

I visited this place due to a recommendation and I'm glad I did. I wasn't disappointed. Filipino isn't my go to but because I came here and I might have to broaden my horizon. A very chill place to eat at. It's very minor but I enjoyed how they bring out the dishes to you, great service. I tried out the bbq chicken and the sauce on it was good, cooked well, and juicy. Pairs well with the salad. The chicken was sweet but also savory. I also tried out the lechon kawali and I got to say, I was missing out quite some time. The texture is what really got me. I enjoy the crunch and the crispiness. I'll probably get this more often. Tip: Parking is limited, park downstairs.

I stopped here after getting some documents at the Philippine Embassy. What caught my eye was the Tocino Burger! Alas my luck they had none in stock. Everything looked delicious but I am trying to do a restricted calorie diet. I will tell you I was willing to break it for this! The young lady at the counter Tricia was so nice & in good spirits! The place was very clean & modern looking! Either way this place is bookmarked for the future.

Neri's is a cute little place across the street from the Philippine Embassy. A lot of people were taking food for carry out. We stayed and ate. It very much felt like a home cooked meal. Everyone was nice too. Good place for homey comfort food.

I came for the sisig, but they were sold out by noon. Still plenty of yummies to choose from on the menu. I went with the pancit palabok and longanisa (all day breakfast). Note, I didn't crack the take-out containers until two hours after I received my order. That was the intention, and in most cases, these menu items tend to be fine. In this case, I think the food fell short. Everything tasted good, but not great. Longanisa didn't have that pop when you bite into it and the rice was on the soggy and bland side. Pancit was also a bit bland for my taste, but texture was good.

We ordered, sisig, laing, longganisa and spareribs sinigang. Favorite is the sinigang. Malasa. Sisig is more of lechon kawali sisig (no laman) but it is ok. Laing is underrated and good. It has lots of lechon kawali. Each dish includes a rice. I think the price is reasonable. Lots of customers. Service of food is also fast. The food might have been precooked but food is still great. It is near the Philippine Consulate in LA.

Neri's is a casual spot to grab a bite. You've got to try the LECHON KAWALI & PANCIT BIHON for sure. Sadly, I went over the Memorial Day weekend, and they were slammed with catering, so I didn't get to taste the lumpias. Can't wait to go back again to try some of their other dishes. ENJOY!

Cutty Filipino spot in the boiling crab plaza. Skip BC and come right to Neri's. I clap the Sisig every time I come here but I do get the Lechon Kawali here from time to time. Then I go home and watch Pacquio highlights for the rest of the day. Always get the garlic rice. Always.

I hate to leave bad reviews so thank goodness I don't have too. I order off door dash almost everyday. This one of the few times the food was well prepared and tasty. My mom is Filipino so I know home style cooked food. Everything was good no complaints only praise pork spare rib soup as on point will be ordering again

I just ordered from Neri's Filipino for lunch. I am so happy they offer delivery in my area with no additional fee through Postmates. This convenience alone deserves a round of applause! I decided to try various dishes, and boy, was I in for a treat. The pork laing was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. The fresh lumpia was a super yummy combination of crisp vegetables and savory meat wrapped in a delicate wrapper. I also tried their version of Palabok. I wish it had more sauce, extra chicharon, and fried garlic for toppings. Also, I got to try their cassava cake for dessert - it was the perfect sweet ending to my meal. The fact that they deliver without any additional charges is a huge plus. I will be ordering from them again in the future. I highly recommend it!

I can't recommend this place enough!!! Neris was the first Filipino restaurant I tried since moving to LA and still my favorite!! Not only is the service so kind, accommodating, and fast, but the food reminds me so much of home! The space is always clean and I've even seen karaoke nights being held at times! You really can't go wrong with any of their traditional Filipino meals, their bistek is one of the few that comes close to my mom's!! I also recommend their sinigang, tocino, and lumpia (all super affordable with great portions for the price!) I truly hope more people get to try this gem because they deserve all the business in the world!

Neri's can make for a great meal! I've been to Neri's a few times and specifically, their breakfasts are excellent. And open since 1984!? Wowza!!! Their Shanghai Lumpia were so darn good. Perfectly crispy, nice and small, filled with delicious minced pork flavor. Pro-Tip: I popped the leftovers in the air fryer and they were equally as delicious! I'm a tosilog addict...give me tocino, garlic rice, atsara and egg, and I'm a happy girl. Their tocino had great flavor, perfectly cut sized pieces and really easy to eat. Garlic rice was stellar and a very healthy portion. The kind of weird thing was the egg looked small. Not sure what was up with that, but I somehow survived the case of the tiny egg and still enjoyed my food, lol! Neri's is a solid Filipino option in KTown and I wouldn't mind trying more off their menu!

Ordered to-go and as a Filipino, I was very pleased! I had the lumpia (egg rolls), pancit (thin noodles), bbq chicken (on a skewer), and the Turon for dessert (plantain with jackfruit and fried in a wrapping paper) MUST TRY! Great portions! I shared with my non Filipino friends and they loved it also. We will be coming back!

Came in here on a rainy Sunday for lunch, and specifically was in the mood for sisig. A lot of reviews were pointing to come here, so I did. The service was friendly, and I asked the guy if he could make my sisig spicy (I'm a huge fan of the little red Serrano Chile peppers), but he noted they would put jalapeños in mine. Anyways, prices weren't too bad here, and I did like my sisig. It came out pretty quickly, although I've definitely had better sisig before. The Shanghai limpias were decent and I tried my friend's sinigang which was a bit salty but delicious!

I am traveling and just wanted something to make me feel more at home - and Neri's absolutely came through for me. On top of that, I had ordered my food for delivery and the yolks arrived still runny. Incredible - that never happens. Thank you!!

Friendly crew. They serve the best tasting filipino traditional food that's close to my mom's cooking. Every bite gives nostalgia feels to it. Their food are budget-friendly too.

Love supporting family owned businesses! This place serves my boyfriend's favorite Sisig dish in the area. Their lechon is also delicious. Sweet service and great prices with ample seating. What's not to love?

Hands down my favorite Filipino food place in town and outside my mama's kitchen. I highly recommend their lechon kawali. Halo-Halo is my favorite dessert and have sampled a lot throughout the Philippines. Neri's is good in its own way. The food there is pretty authentic and there's parking

Neri's is my go to spot for silogs or for a taste of home. Plenty to choose from on the menu like the classics: all sorts of silogs, kare kare, and crispy pata, etc. to new things like a tocino burger. In the past, I have ordered for a Kamaiyan, which was a hit for those who ate. They have great spreads to choose from. Street parking is a available but it is k-town so you may need to circle the block or two or just pay to park in their parking garage.

The person who was on the counter was extremely rude and was rushing to close the transaction. We received garlic shrimp which still had the shell on, spring rolls were very oily and Adobo lacked salt in it. We were the only customers in the restaurant and the owners were eating at the same time. I would not recommend this place.

It is hard to find a good filipino restaurant that isn't just always point-point. I have ordered take out/delivery from Neri's several times and it never disappoints. My favs are the lechon kawali - thick crispy pieces, pancit bihon - so flavorful with the fish sauce and calimansi, and the sinigang - clean and sour broth. Consistently cooked the same and delicious. Recently I just ordered catering of 1 medium tray lumpia shanghai, 1 medium pancit bihon, 1 medium pork bbq. Food was ready at pickup time and was a party hit to non-Filipinos. Definitely my go to Filipino spot now! Caveat, I have never eaten inside yet so I can't comment on ambiance or in-dining service.

One of the few sit down Filipino restaurants in LA. The food is great, service is prompt and friendly.

There are many asian/filipino restaurants in LA the next time I am not in a hurry to eat I will skip this one. The food is nothing special and pricey for such a basic menu. The ambiance is cold with a typical "karinderia" vibe. But if you are hungry and no time to search for alternate place then I guess this one will do.

Love this place. First of all love the positive vibe the cashier gave and recommendations for food the next time I go. Don't make the same mistake I did and share the lumpia with your coworkers they will keep coming back for more. The lechon kawali with rice and egg were my highlights as well as the freshly made calamansi beverage. Parking is easy you can park underneath and get validated.

It's okay, nothing bad, but also not great. The food was pretty bland, not much flavor. Pancit bihon was cooked well and not dry, but also no flavor and only a little lemon piece instead of calamansi. Sisig was disappointing and not vinegary enough, as was the halo halo, just kinda weak. Maybe growing up around Philippinos and visiting Manila last year skewed my tastes - this place is just okay.

Food was amazing and tastes like your favorite homemade dishes. It feels like a warm, loving home. Portions were crazy generous, a bit pricey but I say worth it. The place gets pretty packed during lunch time and they take a bit of time to serve your food.

Devoured this meal in literally 5 minutes. I was in a time crunch for something so I ordered takeout from here. Tapsilog - 5/5, beef was perfect, egg was perfect, rice was perfect. The rice was tossed with some bits of fried garlic and that just made it heavenly. Holy shit my mouth is watering just thinking about the rice. I had this meal 2 weeks ago but I just had to come back to leave this review for my future self.

I ordered thru Door Dash and got my order in less than an hour. I would of gave this review 4/5 stars but I gets a 3 because of the amount and quality of the beef you get in the Kare Kare. The sauce itself is delicious, really good but the meat is weirdly sliced and it was tough. I wasn't expecting oxtail but I was expecting tender beef which it wasn't. Again, sauce is perfect! The palabok had amazing texture but at the same time I wasn't feeling all the flavors which I expected cause their was a lot of toppings on it. It was good, just not the best. The packaging of the food was very good and clean and probably the best I've seen from a Filipino restaurant. I would definitely eat here and try other dishes.

Neri's has some of the best Filipino food I've tried! I had to go twice during my visit in the area. Their menu has all of the classic Filipino dishes, so this is the place to go if you're craving Filipino food or wanting to try it. Their Chicken Adobo is my favorite - it's so tender and savory, goes well with rice. Their food also comes in good portion sizes, so you won't leave hungry. Staff is very friendly and gets food out quick. Seating is readily available even though the venue isn't too large. They also do take out orders too!

This is an overrated restaurant.Too expensive.They overcharge us with an order that they don't have.We'll never come back here.

I remember the first time I tried Neri's was when they had a food truck on Wilshire Blvd. I used to work in the business building and grabbed it for lunch a few times and thought the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised when I rediscovered Neri's as a restaurant when I moved to Koreatown. Can't go wrong with the tapa (tapsilog) which is a marinated beef in garlic and vinegar and the tocino (tocilog) which is a sweetened pork plate that comes with garlic rice and an over easy egg. Also, recommend the lumpia Shanghai. The food is packed with flavor. Definitely worth the try. Getting food to go is a breeze. There's a structure where they'll validate parking.

Neri's reminds me very much of a home cooked meal. Comfort Food 101. We ordered Lechon Kawali which is what they are best known for. Crispy Pata with a side of garlic rice. Fresh lumpia. Sago Gulaman Cooler. Without self control... You could really get carried away and order more! They cook the food as you order. Nothing precooked. Employees are very pleasant. A very good experience! Had the opportunity to visit this place about a month ago. We were fortunate to visit on an off day so there wasn't a huge crowd. Since where I normally reside doesn't have a Filipino restaurant nearby, the struggle is trying not to order everything on the menu. Our order included sisig, dinuguan and a side of lumpia. I went for the sago & gulaman for my drink. It definitely hit spot between the menu and the drink. This place is situated right across from the building where the Philippine Consulate is located so I would guess they are generally packed on weekdays. If I happened to be nearby I'd probably go back, but not necessarily my go-to place whenever I'm in the LA area. The amount of food is worth what you pay. If there was one like this in our area I'd frequent it. They do offer catering and Kamayan options for anyone interested. They do list daily specials, which one was already sold out by the time we arrived. It was somewhat late in the day so it would be questionable if they weren't already sold out by then. Can't recall if I asked about a military discount. Overall a pleasant experience and atmosphere.

This place is close to my apartment and I was craving something outside of Korean food in ktown. So I decided to try this place with my friend. The lechon kawali was pretty good. The crispy skin on the outside was really good and the pork was really fatty. I definitely needed the salad to cut it a little and the rice also helped. However the pork is pretty bland so you will need to dip it in the sauce, but I enjoyed it by itself. I also really liked the BBQ pork my friend got. It was super flavorful and soft. With the rice it was great and all in all very filling! This place is a great for a quick meal which I enjoyed.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! I'm Filipino, and I ordered a platter of vegetable lumpia from them for a holiday party, and there was meat in there! None of the vegetarians could eat, including myself. I was so upset at the party because I was looking forward to it. So I called this morning to reconcile it and they told me I was wrong, and they would not give me a refund. I didn't need the money back, what I needed was an apology and for them to reconcile the situation, but yet they were so rude to me. I would never support there business again. This was a terrible experience, after I've bought food from them in the past.

Love the pancit and lechon kawaii the garlic rice is excellent. Chicken adobo is also excellent, I only wish it was closer to my home.

It's my first time coming here with my family. We ordered sisig, palabok, and some breakfast plates. I literally got disappointed with their sisig . It was so sour to the point that it is too acidic for me. It's literally tastes like vinegar, I also don like how they serve it on top of rice if that's how it is set-up. I should have first to separate it as I did not finish food. Their Palabok is too bland. But, their tocino is okay. They also have longganisa which is part of our order, but it doesn't have anything special. It's kinda similar to the one sold in Seafood City. The service is superb, employees are very helpful and accommodating. The location is great too. It definitely can serve large group plus they have parking available so it is very convenient around Korea Town.

The dinuguan was so nasty i almost threw up. and i love dinuguan I am irate that i've wasted my money on this shit

We were excited to order from here on Uber Eats. Unfortunately the restaurant took almost 1 1/2 hours to give the food to the driver only for the driver to cancel our order 4 blocks away from our home. I don't like leaving negative reviews but now we have to get food somewhere else after waiting 2 hours for delivery. Expect major delays when ordering from here.

I really like the music and the ambience this restaurant has. No ego straight business. Even their restroom smells clean!
