Nesbitt's Delaporte Restaurant and Lounge

We ordered the mac and cheese and conch fritters. Both were a bit spicy for my tastes. The fritters were a little doughy. Our food took quite a long time to come out. We came around 2 and didn’t get food until 2:40. However, it does have a cozy island vibe inside and out.

Nesbitt's has good Bahamian breakfast. That's all I really know. That's all I need them for. I've had steamed sardines and grits, and corned beef and grits. Both were good. The service for takeout is fine. Nothing to write home about, but not bad.

I just received unbelievable service. I was inside of the restaurant. I have been there before grateful. Great customer service the first time which I was fooled by. I came back on another trip and I went to order the same order. I had the last time and the young lady at the register Took my order. Told me that they don’t have one of the items that I came for so I proceeded to order two fried fish with grits. I have gotten there before she told me one second. She’s never seen that before she walked away to the back of the kitchen retrieve several other items bypassing me at reframe and asked her again about proceeding with taking my order because I had a flight to catch, she still bypassed me with. I don’t know what the other gentleman bypassed me as well and started to take an order from other customers around me as if I did not exist. That was one of the worst feelings. When I have talk so highly recommending this place to all of my friends that are traveling to the Bahamas as a great place for customer service and food.

Just some tourists looking for some lunch after a lengthy walk. It was hard to tell if this place was a restaurant from the outside... but sometimes that is a good clue where tasty local food can be found at a reasonable price. A nice view overlooking the beach. Nothing fancy, a few items not available, but my family enjoyed our meal here. Especially that tasty conch burger!!

Nesbitt’s is a Bahamian institution. As a born Bahamian, i literally have been coming here all my life. It is not to be judged by the many foo-foo, upscale restaurants that proliferate the island. No, no. Nesbitt’s is no-frills, down home, Bahamian fare. The food is reliably delicious and served in good-sized portions. Service is old-school, Bahamian friendly. If you want a taste of “true-true” Bahamian food, go to Nesbitt’s.

Wonderful food. Great service. The island food and flavors are delightful. And it's right next to the water giving it a beautiful ambiance.☺️😌

Loved the service...Loved the Food. Tasty and delicious is all I can say! This restaurant is one if the best in Bahamian dishes and local favorite meals.

Had some fresh caught fish, conch, and rice, and the food was delicious! The staff was super friendly! The service is not the fastest, but you are not in the Bahamas to rush! I'd definitely eat here again
