My husband and I recently had a stellar dinner at Nesso. The environment was beautiful and comfortable. The service was flawless with a great flow - we didn’t feel rushed or forgotten and were in that sweet spot of perfect attention. And the food was incredible. My favorite was the burratta appetizer with roasted baby heirloom tomatoes. It was honestly the best thing I’ve eaten in a couple years, as the flavors of the tomatoes, burratta, pesto and candied balsamic onions blended in a perfectly balanced symphony of deliciousness. Everything was delicious, and my scallops were perfectly cooked, which was a real treat here in landlocked Indiana. Finally, they comped my husband’s dessert in celebration of his birthday, which was a classy move. What a great night!

I wish I could give Olivia more than 5 stars. She was absolutely the BEST in bartending and serving us. The food was out of this world delicious! We will be back even when it's 8 hours away.

Made reservations and visited on a Wednesday right as they opened at 5pm. There was a Pacer game but that didn't seem to affect parking in the garage or restaurant crowding. Service was speedy and consistent. Our server was very personable and accommodating as we were not wanting to be around the area too long and he graciously boxed our orders quickly. The focaccia bread starter is a must-have, and the scallop risotto was the best I've had in a restaurant for sure! Fried calamari and artichoke (frito misto) were as described. Not sure I'd order it again but if you're a fan of such things it is executed well. Decor and colors were pretty neutral and non offensive. Soft music in the background was suitable. We will definitely return to explore more of the menu.

As someone who is a little bit skeptical of the food scene at Indianapolis, I was pleasantly surprised by this Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown. Not only was the service great, the spritz collection vast, and the menu diverse of surf and turf options- The Italian dishes were rich and delicious in a nuanced way compared to other Italian places I’ve been to. Honestly, me and my coworkers were surprised by just how good the food was for being an Italian place. Nowadays, it feels that the Italian category is overplayed and derivative, if not just lacking- however, it felt that Nesso definitely was an Italian restaurant that really knew what they were doing, and the food was telling of their experience and quality. I would definitely come back next time I’m in town for work. I really enjoyed my linguini Nero, everybody was packed with flavor and they didn’t skimp on the seafood. The lemon ricotta donuts were also a table hit, tiramisu did not miss, and the pistachio gelato was a plenty for only five dollars.

Food was great. Appetizers were great meatballs and bruschetta. Had the Chicken - was about an a 8. Teramusi was heavy in chocolate but good. Drink with Lemonchello was awesome. Service was good atmosphere was OK just wasn't a total five star. The server did a great job serving. Would say, though most of the food was very very good. We were surprised and appetizers were 1/2 off Happy Hour. As a result we ate toooo much!

Our first time dining at Nesso and we were not disappointed! Our server was very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations from the menu. The octopus and burrata were both yummy dishes to start. The scallops were absolute perfection!! Would highly recommend!!

We love Cunningham restaurants and were excited to try this Italian restaurant. We went early on a Saturday and were promptly greeted, seated, and welcomed by our server. Our cocktails were top notch, and we also got the burrata cheese appetizer with roasted tomatoes and baguette, which is a must in my opinion. So good!! My husband ordered the fennel sausage rigatoni, and I ordered the chicken tortellini. Both dishes included delicious combinations of flavors and were high quality ingredients. However, the pasta dishes were overly salted. The flavors would have really shined without so much salt. I will go back and try again hoping this was a fluke event. Otherwise, keep it up, we love your restaurants!!

I'm glad I was able to visit Nesso with a larger group (8), to celebrate a birthday. This way we were able to try so many different things! Everything was del looks. We tried most of the appetizers. They were all so good! I highly recommend the burrata, the focaccia bread, and the cauliflower! I had the gnocchi, which was probably the best I've had! Much of our group tried the bolognese and loved it! Service was amazing too! Our server was very attentive and helpful when deciding when and appetizer portions! The space is beautiful. Parking isn't ideal, but they are by City Way and downtown, so tricky parking is nothing new. You can find close parking if you are willing to pay and there's also valet parking available.

My husband and I attended an event held at The Alexander Hotel, Sinatra Under the Stars, and decided to grab a bite while in the downtown area. With Nesso being just downstairs and us never having dined there, we decided to pop in. We were greeted by two young ladies at the host stand who asked if we were just two before a gentleman with an unbuttoned dress shirt interjected asking if we had reservations. We did not...but the young lady had menus in-hand ready to seat us. He advised that they were unable to seat us at this time and set a reservation for us for 30 minutes later. The vibe in there seemed pretty chill and the decor was dark and moody. I think we would've liked it, but after that exchange, we felt unwelcome. We dined at Harry & Izzy's instead.

Absolutely amazed by this place. Great food, impeccable service in a beautiful, modern space. I should have tried this sooner! I had dinner with a friend here. They take reservations on OpenTable. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and she helped us by answering all of our questions about menu with a smile. The meatball. This was great. Probably one of the best I've had in Indy. The portion is generous and the sauce was very rich. I read many good reviews about their bread so we had to order some. It was warm, fluffy and baked to perfection. We got two, but one order would have been just enough for two people. I ordered Bolognese tagliatelle. I thought the pasta was overcooked because it had mushy texture, and I know it was not how it was supposed to be. Mushy and they were stuck together almost. However, the bolognese sauce was so great, it literally saved the dish. (This is the reason for the missing star) We didn't have any room for dessert but I'm sure they are good too. I will come back 100%.

My experience there was great! Our server was absolutely superb. He was very attentive to our needs. The food was very, very good.. and the atmosphere was superb. I especially enjoyed going upstairs to the deck after the meal.

Nesso (a Cunningham owned restaurant) is located on the lower level of the Alexander Hotel. It's a modern decorated Italian restaurant that has a limited menu that packs a punch. We started with a couple of apps - the homemade bread with oil and balsamic vinegar and the meatball (it's one big meatball) followed by Caesar salads. For our dishes, I went with the Orecchiette - which was the perfect amount of spice and al dente. My husband had the Tagliatelle - which was very rustic and hearty. We finished it off with homemade gelato which was incredible!

Figured I'd update since its been a year, still awesome! I wanted to like Commission Row but Nesso is still the champ for a grand CRG experience!

Top-notch special occasion spot! I visited here for the first time for my birthday this fall and had a wonderful experience. Parking nearby wasn't too difficult with a garage connected to the restaurant and hotel. Service was friendly and since I noted a birthday in my online reservation, they brought a complimentary dessert! The burrata appetizer was a highlight, dessert was amazing, and we were happy with our entrees. The interior is beautiful and not too crowded when we arrived, although it filled up by the time we left.

I decided to treat myself to a new Devour Indy restaurant and Nesso had some of the most unique options for my pescatarian self. I started with the parmesean cauliflower, which is way more tasty (and visually beautiful) than you'd think. For my entree I ordered the fjord trout. The outside of the trout filet was crispy while the middle was juicy and had tons of flavor. Flavor wise, it was similar to salmon. My favorite part was the dessert - my first time trying panna cotta! The panna cotta was presented in a nectar-y pear sauce that wasn't overly sweet. It was the perfect way to end my dining experience.

Ambiance was 10000000%. Won't lie, we definitely came here for the ambience, and stayed for the food! Got some appetizers for the table - focaccia, burrata, and meatballs. All were really good - perfect to share with the table and all delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked and every little element on the plate melted together really well. Service was great as well. Food came super quick and we had wonderful waiters. Definitely would be back if I was in town!

Another great place by the Cunningham group, this is a stylish Italian place, in downtown Indy, I met a friend here for devour and it was a great experience! I decided to get the devour menu with the wine paring that complemented each course well, I started with an Appérol spritz, then had a delicious Cesar salad, clam linguini, and tiramisu for desert, it was all delicious and the service great! Definitely check this place out if you haven't been

My Fiancé and I were visiting the Indianapolis area and decided to visit Nesso after seeing its positive Yelp reviews. We unfortunately had a mediocre experience. We made an Open Table reservation for a Friday at 5pm. We were the first group to arrive to the restaurant yet the hostess brought us to a secluded table next to the restrooms and server counter. We asked to be moved and thankfully they were able to accommodate. After reviewing the menus, I ordered a French Martini and was later told they did not have pineapple juice so I switched to a Cosmo. We started with the Meatball and Bread starters followed by the Gnocchi and Orecchiette pastas for entrees. The meatballs were quite dense but had a food amount of red sauce to accompany them. The Gnocchi pasta came out with minimal black truffle shavings and a very small portion in comparison to the bowl it came in. The Orecchiette was not quite the pasta shape we expected and overall flavor was more spiced and chili forward (a comfortable heat). We ended with the Bombolino, a recommendation from our server. It was small in portion but had a good, bright flavor. Our server was great and on top of checking in on us and refilling waters. However, the rest of the staff was congregating in the open dining room and talking loudly to each other which was distracting. The restaurant was nicely designed! Though the food was good, nothing blew us away and the customer service/hospitality was lacking; we left feeling underwhelmed.

Excellent menu with so many shareable starters, like the burrata (yummy) and fritto misto. I was surprised when one person from our party asked the server to check with the kitchen if they could make him a caprese salad and when the other salads came out he was told it wouldn't be possible. A caprese is pretty simple and the ingredients were part of other dishes on the menu, so that seemed a bit strange. The short rib entree was the winning dish at our table...generous portion and served on top of perfectly prepared and flavored polenta that had a hint of lemon to brighten it up.

Loved this restaurant. After trying many Italian restaurants in Indy, I can say Nesso is my top-3 (the other two are Convivio and Ristorante Roma). The restaurant is located inside The Alexander Hotel and there's a convenient parking structure with a skybridge. Everything about this place is beautiful - the hotel itself and, of course, the restaurant. Finding a table on Saturday night wasn't a problem. Our receptionist and waitress were both friendly and attentive. It's important to note that they make all their pastas in house from scratch. We ordered a beet salad, capelletti nero, fennel sausage rigatoni, and a panna cotta as a dessert. It didn't take very long to get our food - everything came out swiftly and looked great. Both pastas were fresh and flavorful. I wish the portion size of capelletti was bigger though - it was like half the size of rigatoni. Nonetheless, everything tasted perfect. Panna cotta with strawberry sorbet and fresh berries was fantastic - highly recommend to wrap up your meal. All in all, we had a positive experience and its decent value for money given the quality of food and location. Definitely coming back!

We ate here for Valentine's Day and loved it! We've been up to Plat 99 several times, but have never tried Nesso until then. It's a lovely spot for a fancy date night. Our server was really sweet and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to try. We ordered the burrata as a starter and then each had a salad- I chose the caesar salad (it had anchovy pieces in it which was divine) and he chose the house salad). For our entrees I ordered the special of swordfish and he got the pork chop. Both were cooked perfectly and were so juicy and tender. We split a bottle of the Monti Garbi Valpolicella Ripasso and it paired perfectly with both dishes! Since we had never been before we each ordered a dessert and then shared them. We got the tiramisu and the panna cotta. The fresh strawberry sorbet with the panna cotta was to die for and you can never go wrong with tiramisu. The restaurant was very quiet and there were multiple staff members always walking around to fill water, take away plates, and see if we needed anything else. I can't wait to go back!

Another incredible dinner at Nesso, one of my favorites in Indy. The burrata is fantastic and this time, we tried the carpaccio as well which was delectable. Two of us ordered the orichette, one of us getting it straight from the menu and the other swapping out lamp ragu for bolognese. This was one of the most scrumptious pastas ever! The spice of the chiles coupled with the lightness of the ricotta was divine. Everyone also raved over the scallops in both the Nero and the Scallop/ risotto dish. I have to admit I was pretty sad about the pesto being gone but the oriochette is going to be my new go to! Can't wait to be back.

What a treat! The styling of the place made it feel upscale, modern and welcoming. The service was impeccable and the wine list and food was top notch. I enjoyed the Orichetti with lamb and savored every bite!

What a great find! Foodie Destination! Hand made, fresh pastas made daily. Beautiful ambiance and great service. We had the best dinner.

Service was incredible!! I just wasn't a huge fan of ththe food for the price we paid. My friend got one of the ravioli pasta dishes- and there were maybe 6 small raviolis. While they encourage you to have pasta and a main entree he did say the pasta would be enough for a main dish. She left hungry. Sure she could have ordered more- but it was already pretty expensive. I added grilled chicken with the pasta and I am glad I did for some protein. The Burrata starter was delicious- but I'd recommend ordering extra bread for it.

The absolute best. Came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday and I was quite satisfied. The ambiance inside is quite nice and though it looks small from the outside, there is plenty of seating inside. Our waiter was very kind and patient as we took a bit of time to sit down. Now let's get to the food. I ordered the pesto pasta with salmon and it tasted so fresh! I also tried the beet salad and it was so refreshing. As I looked over the menu for a drink, our waiter was so kind to whip me up something that included a floral gin. Couldn't put my finger on what exactly was in it, but the drink itself was so good I had to order another one! In addition, the restaurant was so kind to bring me a free tiramisu for my birthday which was equally good. Overall excellent vibes, service, and food! Will definitely be back!!

The four stars is for the service. Our server was awesome, attentive, friendly, and the overall restaurant atmosphere was very pleasant. Not loud since there aren't that many tables, and nothing is rushed. My friend and I decided to check this place out for Devour Indy. I had the Octopus, Scallop, and Panna Cotta, and my friend had the Caesar Salad, Linguini Nero, and Tiramisu. The food was definitely different than what we expected, but we loved it. The caesar salad had an actual anchovy lol the scallops were good, but the black rice risotto beneath it was too salty for my taste (drank so much water afterwards). Overall, I wish I could've loved it more than I did, but maybe I'll come again to try the other menu items. It's a perfect date night or a gno spot!

I've finally convinced hubs that we need to start coming downtown to more to eat. Nesso has been on the short list for a while now. Located on the corner of Delaware and South street in the main level of the Alexander Hotel, street parking is available if you can find it and an expensive parking garage is behind the hotel. We paid 15.00 for 2 hours and 7 mins. The Parmesan cauliflower is one of the best appetizers I've had in 2023. It was delicious and I'm glad we accidentally ordered two of them. I had heard the serving sizes here were not large and the prices concerned me having this information beforehand. The cauliflower was a good size for 14.00 I don't think 2 squares of the focaccia was the best deal for 7.00 but we went with it for 4 people. The fritto misto was also good, the calamari was not chewy but there were only a few pieces. The salmon was huge but the pasta dishes were small. Both pastas were tasty though. The service was great and I like when they are willing to split checks. Over all I would come back here in a heartbeat to try more dishes but it will probably be a special occasion place due to the portion sizing and price. The cauliflower is a must!

5 of us went to dinner after a day at PLRB. The ambiance is very sexy and quaint. We were served by Tayla who was in training and she did a great job. She provided excellent service! Tayla was attentive to our needs and checked on us frequently. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The menu didn't have a lot of options but the food was really good. We enjoyed our time, food, and service. I highly recommend this place.

Best food I could find in downtown Indianapolis. Nothing remarkable but certainly decent quality, some creativity, healthy options, pretty space, good service, clean restaurant. Huge portions and very reasonably priced.

A perfect spot for modern, upscale Italian dining in downtown Indy! Came here for a birthday dinner and they were very accommodating for our large group. The vibes are super cute on the inside, perfect for taking pictures. Started off with a gin cocktail that they custom made for us (the cocktail menu is limited). You can never go wrong with burrata, so we ordered that to start and it was amazing! My entree was the pesto pasta, and I loved how the pesto was thick and covered the pasta so well. I wanted to add protein so I got the chicken, but they only had the breaded kind, which was a little too crispy and dry for my taste and I could've gone without. We ended the night with a delicious tiramisu!

My family just went to Nesso for dinner. This restaurant is part of the Cunningham restaurant group and we've always had good meals at any of their restaurant, but tonight, unfortunately, the food was subpar. My daughter and I both had pasta dishes and the pasta for both dishes was sticky and lacked flavor. My son-in-law had the steak and my wife had the scallops, and both of those were fine. The service was good and the restaurant looked nice. But for an Italian restaurant to have bad pasta is disappointing. The other issue was the wine menu was all in Italian which required you to rely on your server to interpret for you. The first question out of the servers mouth was, " how much do you want to spend?"

During our staycation at the Alexander we knew we wanted to try Nesso! I originally made an earlier 6:30 reservation, but I changed our plans and was easily able to switch to later times using the open door app. Huge plus! We arrived a bit earl, but we we were able to get seated right away. We started with a bottle of Sangiovese and a large order of bread. I really enjoyed my main, Tagliatelle. I agree with many of the other reviews that the portion size is rather small. The service was great and we'd definitely recommend!

Dropped by for devour since it's been a minute that I've lived in Indy and haven't properly had a meal at Nesso! Street parking is a bit more difficult to secure vs. Mass Ave or even FSQ -- you'll be fine if you have access to the Irsay or Lilly lots though. Had a nice red wine and 3 course meal, everything was delicious. Ambience was nice and servers were friendly/attentive. Didn't give full five stars because I think say this is the *best* Italian I've had, but this is definitely a solid spot.

Updating my previous review -- which was away back in Oct 2018, about a month after they opened. We had a great time then, celebrating an anniversary. Just went again in Dec 2022, a little earlier (5pm) on a Friday night, so just at opening time, and it was less busy and quite; much more peaceful. Still great service and wonderful food. Limited menu inspired by southern Italian cuisine. We started with the beet carpaccio salad, which was beautiful and tasty, although a small portion for $14 with very thinly sliced beets. (Yes, I know that is what carpaccio means, ha.) The hubs ordered the linguini nero (seafood) and I ordered the off-menu special, short ribs. Hubs had iced tea, but I asked our server Joshua to pair my food with a nice glass of red wine but told him I didn't want the most expensive glass and he immediately had a suggestion of a repasso in a more median price that was a great pairing. Our entrees were delicious. The meat was good, but the truffles and mushrooms that accompanied the short ribs were the star of my dish, as was the glaze on it that I would have definitely eaten more of. We also split a tiramisu and a large french press coffee. I am not usually super excited about tiramisu, but this was quite light and tasty. And honestly, that french press at $5 is seriously the best deal on the menu! Our evening came in at $125 before gratuity. So this price range is a high end / special event place for us, but we knew what to expect and again had a lovely experience. #yum #ReviewsByRL

I wanted to love it but it was a little underwhelming. The aperol spritz was amazing; highly recommend. The mushroom bambolino wasn't very balanced. The fried-ness was very overpowering that you could barely taste the delicate mushroom flavor. If you intentionally used the cream on the bottom you could taste more than just fried food. I had the scallops and risotto, and unfortunately for being an Italian place the risotto was not cooked well. It was hard and left a film on your teeth. It needed to be cooked longer. The scallops were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. We also got the linguini Nero and it had a great flavor but mostly pasta and not much protein. I was shocked when our bill was over $120 for what we got. I don't know that I'd go back, but I'm glad I tried it. I did feel like the service was good although it took an extremely long time for one of the people in my group to get his drink compared to everyone else.

This is one of my restaurants in Indy. Their cocktails are absolutely amazing. The food has always been delicious. I hate that I always forget to take photos of the food while I am there. In the summer they have the doors open and have a half inside half outside sitting area. It's stunning. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. They have reasonable parking and you can valet your car. I go back often so I will try to add more photos as I go. This is easily my most recommended restaurant in Indy.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was some of the best solo-dining experiences ever. This is now my favorite place for panna cotta. I will fly back to Indy just so I can have the Orecchiette. The home made pasta and braised lamb ragú changed my life.

Overall a great restaurant. Certainly one of the best options for the downtown area. Parking is a bit of a hassle, however. We went during a weeknight and did not need a reservation. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere is perfect for date night. It's dark and quiet. The drinks are very good and unique. The food is great! The menu is smaller which is perfect. Each item we received was delicately plated and presented perfectly. The flavors were great and proved this to be a wonderful establishment.

I met with friends and we sat outside on the patio! It was beautiful. Our server Joe was fantastic! Helpful, kind and funny. The bread was delicious and I enjoyed my pasta. The donut for dessert was so good.

Yes, yes and YES! O my what a splendid surprise. We arrived late to Indy on our way home from spring break and wanted to grab a bite to eat at Nesso! I typically research restaurants before hand but I figured it would be just a quick meal before bed. Dinner turned into two hours accompanied by wine, appetizers, salad, pasta and desert. O no. We splurged on a greater amount of calories that we could afford In all honesty, we were pretty much blown away with the food! We're from downtown Chicago so we're pretty critical with food and hard to please at times. Indianapolis has a very unexpected and under rated culinary scene. It's booming with funky foodie spots and this is one of them. We dined here two nights in a row (Wednesday and Thursday)as requested by our toddler. She adored the pistachio gelato. Thursday had one benefit, half off bottles of wine. Okay now to the food. Each night we started with with a salad which I was unable to photograph as at that point we were so so hungry and scarfed it down pretty quickly. The first night we enjoyed the Bibb salad and night two we got the Cesar. I preferred the chili vinaigrette on the Bibb. It was the perfect amount of kick without being too spicy. Next up the must have focaccia with balsamic and oil for dipping. Holy heavens. We intended to bring some back to the room but finished the entire loaf. Don't you dare leave without getting the focaccia. For entrees we got the agnolotti and tortelacci which were both vegetarian friendly! It's we're delightful, hand made pastas with the perfect amount of flavors d sauce. I despise when Italian food is just loaded with cheese or cream instead of more developed favored like truffles, brown butter, broth or hazelnut. You can't go wrong with either dish. So yummy. Then we ended with the pistachio and almond gelato which was the reason for our return on night two. Our daughter said it was the best she's ever had. On top of the food the staff went above and beyond.

Incredible experience! I stayed at the nearby hotel for work and heard the best things about Nesso. I started with a glass of the Vino Lauria 'Giardinello' and focaccia bread - amazing. The bread was the perfect sorry/crisp and warm and was served with a fresh olive oil and balsamic dip. I was recommended the ravioli for dinner - which is the chef's twist in the form of one large ravioli! It was awesome and had a great flavor profile between the ingredients. Ended the night with a slice of tiramisu. Very classy restaurant with dim lighting and a romantic vibe. Will definitely be coming again!!

There's only so much time left for me indy so I'm frantically trying to get to every restaurant that I've been meaning to try. We finally made it to Nesso. Great ambiance, very attentive staff, and lovely tasting food. My friends and I had such a great time and I hope I'll get to make it back! Carpaccio - very delicious. Very shareable. Honestly should've ordered two! Pappardelle - as tasty as it was pretty. The short rib melted in your mouth and the thick pasta was just so good Agnolotti - first time ever having this. If you love mushrooms this dish is to die for. So much flavor packed into each bite and the mushrooms were cooked wonderfully

Italian is my favorite food genre so when my family came to visit, I took the chance for us all to try Nesso. Unfortunately, the food was just so so for the price (some plates lacked flavor while the flavor profile on others did not mesh well) and our server was a way too casual with us and did not know the menu or the wine list. I do love CRG restaurants, but Nesso unfortunately fell short.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a date night or celebration of an event. The ambience and the service was top-notch. We ordered lots of different foods and they were all exceptional. But we also ordered every single dessert on the menu and they were all very different and flavorful.

Excellent birthday weekend treat at a spot I've long wanted to go. Friendly, attentive bar staff only outdone by the quality of the drinks and meal. Restaurant was busy, a nearby Pacer game along with a big concert at Lucas Oil had the dining room hopping. Staff was more than up to the task. Ate at the bar and was well attended to. Shannon and I shared a couple of Appys- burrata with blistered cherry tomato, candied onion along with Parmesan cauliflower were perfect - sweet and savory. Complemented by a Negroni Stanley Tucci would appreciate. We also shared a main - the gnocchi with truffle. Perfect taste and texture. A completely enjoyable dining experience. Can't wait to do it again

We got a little lost parking for Nesso because we don't come downtown often because of complicated parking. Happy accident though, we had to go through the Alexander Hotel which Nesso is attached to. Bellissima opera d'arte! (Beautiful artwork) throughout the entire hotel, and the wonderful and fresh scent that had to be coming out of the ventilation? A+ for the Alexander Hotel from just what I saw. Now onto Nesso. We are early diners so our reservation was for 5 PM but if I could give any advice on Nesso, go for a twilight or evening dinner. I'd bet it even more gorgeous at that time. We were lucky enough to be sat at a roomy settee table near the windows. Extremely comfortable and I had a view of the gigantic bird artwork (which is probably more gorgeous in the evening since you'd be able to see the lighting better). The whole restaurant feels very Sex in the City for me. Everything is elegant and curated for a beautiful meal. Our waiter was Jay and he was excellent. DH picked off of the regular menu while I picked from the Devour Menu. Jay helped me with the dessert. I chose the Mediterranean salad, Cacio E Pepe, and the Panna Cotta. The salad was delicious. Light and crispy with a symphony of summer flavors. The Cacio E Pepe was a blanket of velvet cheese and fresh cracked pepper over a perfectly done pasta. The Panna Cotta was a light and smooth pillow of soft strawberry, lemon, and rhubarb flavors. DH had the Chicken Milanese and the meatballs. The chicken was perfectly cooked, piping hot, and crispy. The meatballs were equally good and the sauce was spectacular. Overall, it was a really wonderful experience.

Typically I'd call myself a Cunningham Stan. I must say I was let down by this one. I waited to post this to marinade on my experience and not jump too quickly to judge. I will start by saying I will be going back to try something different items, and this speaks to the affordability of this restaurant. I started with the beef carpaccio and a bottle of wine(Thursday is half priced wine bottles). Of carpaccios I've tried this was probably bottom 10%. I can't place exactly what was missing but didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered the Orecchiette, something I usually wouldn't try, and my mother ordered the Spinach Pappardelle. Liked the orecchiette more than the pappardelle for sure. Need a bit more flavor with the short rib Ragu. Amaretto gelato was . Disclaimer I do not normally order either of these pasta dishes so I will be going back to try the bread then the gnocchi to try and give this spot a fair shake. Review update forthcoming.

Really enjoyed our experience at Nesso. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous and has a upscale cozy feel to it. I personally chose from the Devour Indy menu and enjoyed trying the different dishes. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The panna cotta was also light and refreshing! My husband got the pork chop and he really enjoyed that as well. The service was great and really enjoyed my experience! Parking around the restaurant can be tough. The closest parking garage is $15 even for a couple dollars so I recommend trying to find street parking if possible.

WOW. We changed our reservation from 8 to 15 people at the last minute and then proceeded to be the most high maintenance group ever. Our waiter, Miles, was an absolute superhero. He acted like we were a table of 2 ordering expensive bottles of wine. The old fashioneds here are excellent and the food is wonderful too! As an added bonus that will only matter to some, I have celiac disease and even trace amounts of gluten make me sick. I was able to eat here with absolutely no problem.

I have been to Nesso twice and both times have had different experiences. We ordered the same food each time but I do think they change the menu often. The burrata and bread were good both times though this time they added candied onions which I personally did not enjoy. The aricini was very good! The focaccia the second time was ok, it was room temperature when served. They do not have nonalcoholic drinks listed but they were kind enough to offer us mocktails upon request. Amazing staff!

Love love love Nesso. The chef was able to prepare a vegan pasta for me. I also had a drink suggested by our server. Love the service and overall ambiance!
