Extremely satisfying comfort food from a hot meal to a pizza to breakfast and everything inbetween! Also has a great bbq food! Its a fully equipped deli and gas station that also sells non ethanol gas! And a great beer selection too!

Absolutely incredible spot. Some of the best food we've ever had. We are getting our wedding catered from here and we're so relieved that such an important part of the wedding is in great hands. Mark and the rest of the staff are wonderful. They are clearly passionate about what they do, and it is reflected in the creativity and deliciousness of the food they offer. I can not recommend them enough. Thank you!

Waited 30 minutes for a simple sandwich. No apology, nothing. A waste of time!!!! Totally disorganized kitchen!!!! I can truly understand and appreciate an establishment getting busy but at least 6 people who ordered their food AFTER me received their orders BEFORE me!!! I only ordered a simple sandwich. This is beyond frustrating and this is why I can accurately state that the kitchen IS disorganized!!! Hopefully you will note this concern and train your staff to pay more attention to the Order of your Orders and not to be so arrogant to your customer when this issue is brought to their attention!

It's not bad when my order is right. They should have the call in orders placed in a bag when ready. I should've checked my bag but forgot to include my fries and forgot to add bacon to my and other family members sandwiches on multiple occasions. The food isn't cheap so I'd like to get everything I order when I do come. The store is nice though they have a lot of beverages and snacks to choose from

The sandwiches are so good that we will order on the phone and drive 30 minutes from Bethel to pick them up.

I read the reviews before I went. I believed the hype. Hype let me down. It was basic. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was just bacon egg and cheese. Nothing amazing and not as many options as I thought would be there. I did not find the staff very friendly for such a small, quaint townie type of place.

This food is delicious. Made to order, service above and beyond. We'll be back. Prime rib in a general store! And it was wonderful.

What a cute little store. They have everything! We were renting a vacation home down the street and needed some groceries. As a general store in a small town, it had everything we needed! They even have a deli and can make sandwiches and breakfast items. The staff was really nice and helpful also.

When they do make good food it's very good but it's not consistent. You can order something one time and it's good. Next time you order it it's horrible. All I can say is give it a try. If you catch it on a good day you'll enjoy it if you get the wrong person making your food you won't.‍

A group of us rented an AirBnB nearby and we catered brisket and sides for dinner on Friday night and deli sandwiches for our hike on Saturday afternoon. All the food was killer and super affordable. I prepaid a few weeks before and everything was fresh and ready when I arrived to pick up. Highly recommend!

Come for gas, stay for the (surprise) pizza or the (bigger surprise) dinner entrees! In the tiny (very tiny), rural (very rural) town of Neversink (where I grew up many decades ago and where my family still lives), there's always been a general store (two of them at one point!). It's important for the community since "running into town" for an item meant at least 15 minutes each way. But the stores were always tiny, carrying a few essentials bought from the grocery store in Liberty. A larger general store appeared some years ago. It recently changed hands and has become quite a gem! There's gas and a well-equipped general store with basic groceries as well as dairy, eggs, beverages. A frozen case carries high-end, grass-fed beef from a local farm. Some basic produce (in the summer, they sponsor a farmer's market on Saturdays). Lots more. But for me, the surprise is the food which is prepared by an on-premise chef, Jaime. In addition to a full made-to-order sandwich counter that stocks Boar's Head products and includes hot breakfast sandwiches, they have prepared entrees. I saw (but did not try) a beef with pappardelle; and later shared a sausage hero with sautéed peppers and onions. Juicy, messy, hot and delicious. I also sampled the banana bread they make there -- light, delicious. For lunch, I went for the pizza which is made fresh, on premise, from real (not frozen) dough. They have something like four pizza ovens and on weekends, they crank them out non-stop! I could not believe how many people come through little Neversink. I was expecting a decent pizza but was amazed. This was a true New York pie that would stand up against most any pie in Manhattan (110 miles away). Great crust, made from scratch, with just the right chew. Topped with a thick blanket of cheese and not too much sauce. It was something like $11 and $1 per topping (I had sausage and pepperoni) for a large pizza. It's not a restaurant per se, but there are several tables and chairs and on a nice days, some outside chairs. Everyone there was helpful and nice. Great place to stop by for fuel and road food -- and a nice contribution to the tiny community where I grew up.

Everything I eat from here is great. Only issue I had once was the label didn't match the contents of the ready made meal I got.

A wonderful surprise - gourmet food at a convenience store / gas station. Prime rib, pasta bolognese, chicken Bianca, braised duck and more. Plus heroes, wraps, cold cuts, pizza, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, pulled pork, brisket and more. During the summer, there's a BBQ tent, where you can not only get food, but also beer and wine. And while you're picking up a fantastic meal, you can get gas, shop for groceries, vegetables, ice cream, frozen meat, beer, soda, chips and more. Plus greeting cards, automotive oil, candy, crackers, soap, and lottery tickets. It's an all-in-one convenience store / restaurant / gas station. What a gem!

We were there over the weekend for the BBQ. It was excellent. We got a little of everything -- brisket, pulled pork, chicken, lots of sides. All were delicious, and the proprietors and staff are incredibly nice. They also carry local beers. I think the BBQ is weekends only, but their deli sandwiches are delicious also. Highly recommend. We'll definitely be back.

We are visiting the area and we think that this is the best place to eat. Their cuban sandwich is the best I ever tried. They also have decent pizza and great bbq. Quite a pleasant surprise and highly recommended for quick service and great food!

Jaime and his staff catered a family gathering for me just last week. The appetizers were magnificent! Chicken BLT sandwiches, sandwich trays (with every imaginable fixing), mini egg rolls, and such amazing tortellini caprese skewers!!! So much food, prepared so well, so yummy!!! Thanks again to Jaime and all at Neversink General Store!!!

I was there Saturday afternoon for lunch. First time. I ordered the large brisket sandwich $12.00 It was good, but a little on the dry side. The sandwich was tasty. I thought the slices a bit thick. I'm not sure when this was prepared. I have tasted much better BBQ in Kansas City, Texas, and NC. The General Store was more like a gas station oversized convenience store. They did have some gourmet products. The blueberry pie for $14 rivals any bakery in Manhattan. They also have an extensive deli counter. You order from Covid friendly employees. If they're busy, you may have to wait. I ate outside in the picnic area. On a zero to 10 scale, I'd say a solid 8.

Great local store in the Catskills with excellent pizza for carry out. We hear their sandwiches and breakfast are great too, so that's next on our list for when we next visit. Gas station also attached so it's an easy stop to fuel both your car and yourself!

What an unexpected delight. Come for the gas, stay for the food. A real hidden gem. I had homemade soup and a friendly counter service experience as well.

Excellent prepared food. Staff is friendly. The Italian food is solid. I've enjoyed the eggplant rollatini, eggplant parm hero, and chicken piccata.

The BEST cheese steak eva!! That's what I get when we come here and it never fails to be delicious

Went in the other day for the Italian Combo hero. $9.50. Had about $2 worth of cold cuts on it. Service was slow too. One person in front of me and it still took about 25 minutes. Maybe, just it was a bad day but, I pass that place about 8 times a year and I won't be stopping there again.

Most people might not run to a general store and gas station for fresh tasty food. The previous reviews convinced me to think otherwise! You can buy tons of food items and stock up your cleaning and fishing suppliers, plus order breakfast and lunch and eat your meal at one of the three tables provided in the shop. I had a pastrami Reuben while my aunt had the breakfast special with eggs and bacon. The food was fresh to order and fantastic! The people who worked here were kind, helpful, and really know how to cook!

Great friendly place to eat lunch or even just to purchase gas or a beverage.MY DAUGHTER ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT HERE. I can not drive by without stopping for a Spongebob ice cream for her.. The new owners have done renovations and are making this business cute and they have expanded in so many different ways..cant wait to see what will b comin next..Highly satisfied wthe food and i can not forget.... the pizza is fantastic..

The best BBQ this side of the Mississippi River! Kind of crazy I know, but they have a star rated Chef, in a gas station!? The food is incredible. Who would have thought? Free Wifi, and a Farmers Market on Saturday.

Chef Jaime catered our wedding and it was incredible! He really took the time to get things right. The food was delicious! He and his team really delivered on our special day. I high recommend!

Ok, gas, sure. An OK selection of groceries (the kind of necessities you need on a camping trip or a weekend in a cabin on a mountain). But go in and grab something to eat from the kitchen... it will blow your mind. The pizza is incredible but also the daily specials from the NATIONALLY FAMOUS CHEF are really good. The are usually in the hot display. I had some type of spicy beef with rice dish that was what I would expect at a high end restaurant in NYC not a gas station in the middle of god's country (the Catskills). This shop also runs a weekend farmer's market including local produce, beef, and crafts. The fridge is stocked with locally raised beef. It's the only place to get gas for miles and it is actually a legit place for a bite!!

Great spot to get quick grocery items or fantastic food made to order! My husband and I regularly pick up their special of the day which is perfect for those nights you just do not want to cook.
