The 24 Best Restaurants In Venice, Italy - Venice - The Infatuation

"You'll need a reservation to eat at Nevodi, an incredibly popular spot in Castello. But it’s one you should prioritize so you can try stuff off the well-priced and creative menu that focuses on traditional lagoon and Venetian ingredients, like a selection of crudo or grilled scallops from Rialto market, or small soft-shell crabs during the fall. The paccheri pasta with tiny shrimp in a pistachio sauce and the salty-sweet mascarpone gelato with olive oil are perennial favorites. The inside dining room is bright and boisterous, and outside, you can watch Venetian life happening on the via Garibaldi. They also have a takeout pizza operation across the street that does a great margherita, plus fun pies with spicy nduja or porchetta and gorgonzola." - gillian mcguire, carlo mantuano

The 16 Best Restaurants In Venice, Italy 2024

"It's hard to get a reservation at Nevodi, an incredibly popular (and extremely small) spot in Castello, but don't let that discourage you. It's worth the planning ahead to try stuff off the creative menu that focuses on traditional lagoon and Venetian ingredients, like tiny sweet shrimp served on creamy polenta, or small soft-shell crabs during the fall. If you aren’t the type to make an Excel spreadsheet of reservations before every trip (what, just us?), they have a takeout pizza operation across the street that does a great margherita, plus fun pies with spicy Nduja or goose breast and truffles. " - gillian mcguire

Really good local pasta place. We ordered the daily special (seafood pasta), pistachio pesto pasta, and meat ravioli as well as the nevodi rocher and tiramisu for dessert. The pastas portion are just right for each person to have on their own. Everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend for those staying east of St Marco Square. Definitely need reservations if showing up after 7pm.

Absolutely outstanding! The grilled octopus was superb; perfectly tender, flavourful, and beautifully presented. In fact. all the seafood was fresh and delicious. Warm, welcoming service and pleasant outdoor dining on Via Garibaldi. Highly recommended Venetian cuisine!

Nevodi was recommended by a friend who lived in Venice, and it did not disappoint. On our first night in the city, a weeknight, we decided to give it a try. Nevodi turned out to be one of the most enjoyable meals of our several-day stay. It was perfect: a neighborhood favorite, low-key, and friendly. We both had excellent antipasti and primo: grilled sea scallops, grilled local vegetables, and ravioli filled with short ribs in a butter and sage sauce. Delicious, and very reasonably priced.

AWESOME! BUONISSIMO! My family’s best pick of Venice. We really loved every single dish we had here. They are not just good, they are VERY VERY DELICIOUS. We’ve met a pigeon got our octopus so we couldnt finish it, but aside from that, all the dishes were amazing. We really love to visit here again!

Nevodi is definatly my go to restaurant in Venice. This true family restaurant offers high quality traditional homemade italian dishes. Everything they offer is house made, they are actually a family. The prices are well matched with what you get. We loved their Lasagna, Tuna and Octopus. Great and friendly serivce.

This restaurant was in front of our Airbnb and we noticed it was always full (even on weekdays). We tried their seafood specialities and we understood the hype completely 😄 Our favorite of the night was the “paccheri nevodi” pasta with gamberi and pistachio pesto. It was so flavorful and well seasoned! We also liked the scallops and the lasagna. The lasagna was also good but next time, we will only go for the seafood

Lives up to the hype! The food was of high quality and thoughtfully prepared. We had tuna, pasta with crevettes, duck lasagna, and sea bass – all dishes were well cooked and nicely seasoned. Everything was served at the right temperature and with care. The service was friendly, attentive, and made an effort to accommodate us, without being too formal or intrusive. A very good experience overall – we’d be happy to come again.

Google
Incredible food and outstanding service, Nevodi was hands down the best restaurant of my Italy trip. We ordered the fish lasagne, codfish, and grilled octopus, and each dish was a masterclass in seafood. You can tell the chefs cook with both skill and heart, every element was thoughtful and beautifully balanced. The cod fish dish in particular was the best dish I’ve ever tasted, the fish was cooked perfectly and everything on that plate paired perfectly together. The dinner was so good that I had to get dessert which I never do. The tiramisu was also delicious, homemade and very fresh.
