"After an extended closure, this Khmer restaurant in White Center is under new ownership. They serve dishes like stuffed chicken wings, phnom penh noodle soup, and seafood fried rice in the small, quiet space off 14th Avenue SW. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

My wife and I made our inaugural visit to this restaurant. We were impressed by the warm greetings and ambiance. The menu boasts an extensive selection of dishes. We opted to try the Cambodian coffee with coconut flavor, thus we cannot comment on the food quality or service duration. However, the coffee and initial service we received today were exceptional. Based on the exemplary service and diverse menu offerings, I highly recommend this restaurant to those interested in trying Cambodian cuisine. Cambodian food is renowned as one of the best in Southeast Asia, and it's a rare find in this area.

Service was horrible!!!! If I could give this place zero stars that's what I would rate it. We didn't have plates, spoons, forks, and napkins. I had to go to the counter and ask for it. We ordered our food and it took an hour before it came. The Nom Bachok lacked salt which they did not have so I had to go to the counter and ask for it. The Phnom Penh noodle which we thought would be served first was the last dish that we got. We kept waiting for it and when we did get it, it was sweet and had intestines and heart and other unknown meats which normally is not included in a Phnom Penh noodle. We also ordered the beef sour soup which they have as a pre-order only in the menu and it cost us $50!!!!! Not only was it over priced, it did not taste good!!! The poor quality of beef used and the saltiness of the soup was not appetizing. We sat and ate the other foods with no one coming to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. Our glasses of tea that they served when you come in were empty and I had to ask again for refills. The server did not come to take away empty plates so I was taking them to another table to free up some space on our table. Nothing great about this place at all and I would not recommend it to anyone!!!! Don't waste your money like we did....our bill was $207 for crappy service and crappy food.

Adorable Cambodian restaurant! The staff is super friendly, although they are on the younger side. The food is absolutely fantastic. One day, we met up with a friend and, faced with so many delicious Cambodian dishes to choose from, we decided to order a variety of dishes to share. We opted for traditional favorites like Amok and Lok Lak, both bursting with incredible flavors and authenticity. With each bite, we couldn't help but appreciate the lively decor and cozy atmosphere that made our dining experience even more delightful. By the end of the meal, we were already eagerly planning our next visit to try even more dishes from the menu.

We have been trying to go to this spot for 3 years lol. Been unlucky every time we try coming. We ordered the Papaya Salad, Beef Skewers, Kuyteav, and Lort Cha. The Papaya Salad from spicy levels 1-5 3 is crazzzy hot but the salads good. Kuyteav was super good, brother nice and not super savory. But to have an idea of whats in it would be helpful for future customers. Beef skewers were perfect as Cambodians know how to grill that beef. The best dish of the day that I had was the Lort Cha where the noodles are finely made into needles like shapes and from the squid to the nice sweet fish sauces tasting fried egg, you were on the road for success lol. To finish off the day we had some smoothies mango and avocado. Got some pictures, wish I took more. For the 4 dishes plus the smoothies were about $116. (DO NOTE, Khmer food is a delicacy type of food which some cases takes a while to prepare unlike other Asian foods.) So some of the pricing may look crazy expensive for some but in a way, understanding. Loved it. Tips to improve would be to add utensils, napkins, small things as this is still up and coming.

Had a great meal at New Aspasa Palace! The stir-fried noodles with beef were delicious, tender meat, flavorful sauce, and fresh veggies. The Phnom Penh noodle soup was rich, comforting, and came with all the right toppings. The crispy donut on the side was a perfect touch( need to add on, it not included like pictures on menu). Friendly staff and clean, cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth checking out

My kids really enjoy the beef skewer, I had the noodle soup, lots of broth which I liked! Everything Taste like home, so compliment to the chef for keeping it as authentic as possible. However not sure if it was an usual Sunday but the host was serving all by herself with like 5 tablespoons of then we walked in and another party( who end up walking out because of the wait).

Amazing, and delicious. This was my first time trying fried lort noodles, but it definitely won't be the last. I had it with beef, but you can do seafood too. I can't wait to try everything on their menu. The flavors are excellent, and the also have a unique assortment of spices or hot sauce if you want to add some kick of your own. Fun drink options too. Friendly service, and very clean. So happy I found this place

This place has potential. We shared all kinds of different dishes. I’m glad they didn’t overextend the menu, so it gives the new owners time to specialize on certain dishes. The food was good. We had beef skewers, Nom Bajok, Phnom Penh noodles and Mee Katang. We wanted to try everything. I think I will come back and give them a try again, I am Khmer myself and representation is important. I recommend giving this place support, the food is good though!

Yelp
Took my parents out for break at New Apsara Palace and they loved it. The store is clean and neat. Give the warm vibe. Nom banchok Khmer was 10 out of 10. So was the beef sticks. It was so good ,I forgot to take a picture. There was a lot of meat in the phnom penh noodle soup. The coconut coffee was good. Except too much ice. Rather have the cup smaller with same portions. The store owner was friendly and efficient. First time ever that a Khmer owner would come out and asked the customers for improvements. That was a plus. Keep up the good work. I've been waiting to taste the authentic Khmer food in Seattle and it's happening!!! We don't have to fly all the way to Long Beach (CA) for Khmer food.

Yelp
We had 2 Phnom penh noodles ( dry version) with a side order of s chinese donut... Oh man .. the food were SOOOO Good, the servers were very nice and polite, we love everything about this place... the only thing should be improved is the air ventilation..they probably don't have a very good range hood in the kitchen.. your whole body, clothes, hair smell very Strong of cooking odor. If they can improve this problem we will be their daily customers because their Food are Soooo Good Thank you

Yelp
It was my first time here and I was craving for some Phnom Penh Noodles soup. I wasn't disappointed. The price tag seems hefty but it's a large serving with lots of protein including liver and intestines, yum! Well worth it. I also had the beef sticks and the flavor was well balanced (not too sweet, salty or bland etc ) and most importantly it was juicy. I wanted the sugarcane drink but it was sold out. The coconut coffee is their most popular drink so I got that and I liked it. I would come back to try other dishes. This is a newly re-opened small mom & pop business. I read and also heard that the owner makes all the food herself. The front operations are ran by younger members of the family. They're very nice and hardworking so please have some patience. I'm happy for another traditional Cambodian restaurant in Seattle.

Yelp
Finally got to try the coconut coffee at New Apsara, their most popular and highly rated drink. It's delicious! The coconut flavor is subtle, more like a creamy touch, while the coffee itself is bold and strong. Not too sweet, just the right balance. Their coffee is sourced from Phnom Penh, making it unique compared to other spots. Definitely worth the price!

Yelp
Came in around 1pm on a Friday. There was only 1 other table dining in. I was greeted immediately by a friendly face. They served this fragrant jasmine tea imported directly from Cambodia. I've never tasted anything like this before, it had a fruit undertone. I found out they're under new ownership but kept some of the old menu dishes. I was very excited to see they still had the fried lort noodles! I had to order that to-go for later! I decided to try something new while I was there so, I went with the Mi katang fried wide noodles with seafood. The dish came out within 10 minutes. It did not disappoint! It was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly; noodles were separately piece-by-piece & not super greasy nor mushy. The lort noodles were exactly the same as I remembered from the prior ownership, tasty! Overall food and experience: 5 stars! Definitely coming back soon to try their other dishes on the menu. I can't wait!

Yelp
I came here one time and it was closed so I was excited to find out the restaurant reopened because I heard good things about it. I tried their chicken curry noodles because I had a craving for it. The soup is really good but I wish the chicken had more meat and less bones. They give you a lot of noodles too which is great! I also got a Thai iced tea and it was on point! My boyfriend got the kathiew and it was okay, not the best, and it took long to come out. My boyfriend is Cambodian and he wishes there were more traditional dishes on the menu. All in all I give this place 4 stars. They could improve.

Yelp
Overall this place is really good, and the workers are very nice. The noodle soup and congee were both very good. The meat skewers were great. And their hot sauce is awesome. My only ding is that it's too expensive for White Center, $17 for the noodle soup and congee is a bit steep - especially for the location. But it's very good Cambodian food.
