New Bee Cafe

I hosted a co-ed baby shower at Bee Cafe’s enclosed garden space. We had around 45 guests (adults and children) on a Saturday afternoon. The food was amazing. Yonglin, the owner’s daughter, was very communicative throughout the whole process and checked in consistently and advised on menu items. Everyone complimented the food especially the pork buns, kimchi fries, empanadas, and takoyaki. I would gladly host any future parties or events here. My sister loved the space! And the garden nicely decorated, airy, good for photos during the day.

I ordered the kimchi fries, mocha, and passion fruit boba tea! Everything was delicious and I especially loved the kimchi fries! It’s definitely worth it for the price as the fries have a perfect amount of crispiness and tangy spice(?). They have a great indoor seating (I stayed here for a few hours to study) and the Halloween decor is so fun! Next time I would love to try out the new specials. I would definitely recommend this place!!! :)

My first time here and I will definitely be back. The back garden atrium is so charming and peaceful. Great space to work though I wish there were more outlets back there so you could work from more of the tables. The food was yum, I had the burrata and mushrooms and sage..loved it. The coffee was tasty and the staff here seem friendly. It was clean and tranquil. I can’t wait to come back try more of the food!

The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review. Atmosphere: The decor in this place is remarkable and well organized. It has good lighting and is pretty clean. It was also interestingly odd to see a connection with the laundromat next door. I'm not sure if that was a great idea, especially because it seems like this restaurant wants to stand out in the area. Service: Acceptable Food: This part was not really what I expected it to be. I mean, the quality is there. Ingredients seem to be fresh. However, the flavors are not quite there. At least, that's what I experienced with my order. I ordered the Bee Breakfast Sandwich, the Double Pork Buns, the Crispy Spring Rolls, and the Tiramisu. The sandwich was okay, just that, there's not much to say about it. The pork buns were small, not much meat but fat. The spring rolls were better than the rest of things I ordered to be honest. Finally, the tiramisu was average. Price: If both, quality and flavors were really good, prices wouldn't be a problem. In this case, the lack of flavors does not compensate their prices.

The avocado toast was not as good as many other places I have been to, but I'm still inclined to give it a 4 ⭐ because it's better than "it's ok." The matcha latte was borderline "just ok." I saw the person take out a bowl, so I thought, "ok good it's real matcha that they are going to grind." Later on, the drink came out and I thought it did not look green enough, and there was not enough of a matcha taste. The interior decor was cute, even though most plants were plastic. So, I would say 3.5 ⭐ for food, but I'm going to say 3 ⭐. Nevertheless, the cute decor and service were good enough that I would give 4 ⭐ overall.

The back patio is filled with fake flowers/ plants, and the smell of laundry is noticeable. I didn't see any outlets on the patio. The croissant was a solid 2/5. It felt like the croissant was sliced in half of microwave with the ham and cheese. I was disappointed . The ham had a lot of inedible bits to it. The coffee tasted burnt. The espresso shot wasn't pulled nicely. Place could be cleaner. 40 minute dining in limit signs were posted around the place. Not sure if enforced.

This place is the best hidden gem located right off of the Woodside train station. The drinks are amazing and the sandwiches come with fries 💛. Lots of seating in the back, large tables with access to outlets. Also pet friendly!

It is a pretty chilled and quiet place to chill and get your study/work done. They have a great outdoor and indoor seating section. Their food is also good and in good price. I tried the Avocado toast and it was good. Plus took the smoked salmon bagel and it is also another good option for brunch

This establishment is one of the best establishments ever. It is really good for the price. Epic place :) occasionally has jazz nights and community events.

Such an amazing atmosphere, friendly service, and great drinks. I came here Sunday morning and got their hot dirty chai - this is one of the best dirty chai lattes I've had! Perfectly sweet and balanced. Will definitely come to try the food next time!

This is such a lovely, adorable cafe with a gorgeous, sunlit front window. I was meeting a friend after coming straight from LaGuardia, and the staff were incredibly courteous, defeating New Yorker stereotypes all around. (I can attest to this: I had dribbled matcha latte across the front of my sweater on accident, and I sheepishly asked how long it had remained there. The staff sweetly didn't notice and joked, "At least it's a green sweater!" It was pretty hilarious and made an awkward situation way better). I was going through some issues with my laptop, but the calm, cool, collected staff kept the ambiance chill so I could figure out the complex issue. I have yet to check out the "hive" area, so it's a treat for another day! My friend in the neighborhood says it is an absolute must-see. The vibe, at least when I went, was conducive to work and quiet conversation both. There is limited street parking, but given Bee Cafe's proximity to the trains, I'd recommend going with public transit. For those who might need more accessibility, there is a small step/ledge upon getting into the cafe. The menu is small but curated. As previously stated, I ordered the matcha latte which was perfectly frothy, sweet, and delicious. I opted for their double pork buns to go, and the wait time was pretty short, only 5-10 min. The staff are honestly the crowned jewel of this place. They seamlessly figure out issues with customers, and they make people feel seen and heard. There's free wifi, and the minimum purchase with a debit or credit is $5 (if I remember correctly). Prices are NY friendly, which means some sticker-shock if you live in a less metropolitan area. Still, tip your baristas!

Cute hidden gem in Woodside. I can't believe I've never been to this cafe and I've grew up and lived in Woodside most of my life. I familiar with the "other side" of Woodside or Roosevelt Ave. Don't be fooled by the front entrance. Enter "the hive" past the restrooms and there's plenty of nooks and space for you to enjoy your coffee and food. Saw several people working on their laptops. Relaxing jazz music playing in the background. There's a trailer in the back--not for seating but maybe for storage. The sunlit area is covered and temperature controlled. You can work and eat in the sun or rain. The front is connected to a laundromat. You can also do your laundry and enjoy a nice cup of joe. I had their #1, 2, and 3 Most Liked. #1 Fruit tea: I got the large passion fruit with lychee jelly. Saw a few tables with this drink but they order bubbles instead of lychee jelly. #2 Ham and Cheese croissant: it wasn't as buttery. Came with American cheese. Tastes like Kraft cheese. #3 Avocado toast. Good soft avocado. Nothing brown. The chili lime salt was a nice touch. I was asked if I wanted an egg with it when I ordered. I said no. But I think I will order with the egg next time. There is 1 gender neutral restroom and it's clean.

Very friendly staff and the food was great! We tried the Kimchi fries, breakfast sandwhich and the chicken sandwhich. For drinks we had a chai late and a Cortado. Everything was fantastic! Would re-visit.

One of my favorite coffee spots in the neighborhood. It's the comfortable ambiance for me honestly. If you ever want to leave your apartment/house for a coffee and cozy vibes look no further - this place is it. I've been here about two times before I realized there's an additional backspace with extra seating + tables. I'll be back to do some work, drink coffee, & vibe out. There's also a laundromat next door so if you're washing clothes DEFINITELY pop in. I must say the hot chocolate here is... okay and I love hot chocolate so maybe this only matters to me. Oh and the service is ALWAYS friendly

Was pleasantly surprised as soon as I stepped inside. I honestly thought this was a hole in the wall small spot but it was bigger than I expected! Beautifully decorated with books to read/exchange and spots to do work or have a cute coffee date. Definitely go for the crispy chicken sandwich! Better than the panini which I thought would have been flatter. Drink was also good. Ill definitely make sure to come back to eat/work. Service was great as well!

Sitting at the cafe now while writing this... this cafe is beautiful. It feels like an oasis of some sort. My avocado toast was delicious and my macchiato was strong. I'm new to the neighborhood (coming from bushwick where coffee culture is on its A game) and I'm super happy this gorgeous cafe is near my new place. Service was super friendly too.

Lovely Neighborhood coffee shop, super cozy and friendly! The only thing I would add is flavors or syrup options for coffee, which they have but they are not on the menu! But definitely recommended!!!

This was one of my wife's favorite places because we are able to bring our dog in the backyard. I went back with my daughter the other day and I was surprised to find it less crowded than usual. We got two coffees and tried the coconut cookie. They also have food if you're hungry. I used to be a big fan of the chicken sandwich but we already ate. This is a great place to relax. The decor and ambiance in the backyard are a great addition and one of the biggest reasons we will continue to go!

I'm way too loud to come to a place like this with people. This is a spot to work in with an absolutely stunning setting. Free WiFi for customers which is clutch. Lattes and boba can be drunk while you nosh on brunch fare. It's been a minute since I've ate here but I remember the food being good. My favorite part is their outdoor courtyard area where theirs a vintage VW bus and the most beautifully darned wooden structure that holds a decent amount of seating. Here is where I had my pumpkin chai latte that the staff was able to put together for me. Both pumpkin and cinnamon syrup were used in my drink. Surprisingly it wasn't too sweet, just a bit too heavy for me. Turnaround time for working here is 45 min, which I think is fair given the size of the place. Do you all still offer wine? There is the cellar in the back, but I didn't think I saw it offered on the menu. Anyways, go work out of Bee Cafe and get your laundry done at the spot next store!

This cafe is my favorite spot to go to because it feels like a secret little cafe where you can be productive and also catch up with friends. I love that they have an outdoor area, with heating, and chargers making it the perfect spot to do some work. The interior of the cafe is so clean and brightly lit, and filled with plants. I always order the Kimchi Fries because they are the best ones I've had and it pairs perfectly with a taro bubble tea.

Was meeting a friend in Woodside and she picked this spot because it offered a variety of options in case we felt like coffee, beer, or even bubble tea. I wasn't expecting much, but was amazed after walking through what I thought was the average-size café to the back garden room, which was so spacious and bright. Though some of the booths were narrow and awkward, we made the corner space work for us. She ordered a matcha boba tea and I got a chai latte. My latte was fine - a little lukewarm but not unusual. A little disappointed they didn't have some options (no decaf or skim milk) and the communication with the barista was a bit challenged (language issue) but overall service was friendly. It seems like a good spot for people to park themselves and work (wifi and restroom available) or just meet with friends. Seems like a lovely option in the neighborhood!

Such a cute space to hang out in!! Chicken panini was delicious! The burrata was ordinary but not in a bad way. The lady that ran the food to our table was very sweet. Would definitely come back!

The service is phenomenal! Also, this is the most adorable, cozy cafe I have ever studied at. The beverages and food were delicious! My partner and I had the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg, double pork bun, pumpkin spice espresso and sparkling lychee drinks. So scrumptious I loved the decorations throughout the place that capture your attention randomly haha. Thanks for the bucket where i can leave a note to my future self! This café is really such a hidden gem, I almost want to keep it gate kept and hidden from everyone else. There is always a cozy ambience, staff is doting, warm and patient. This can be a child-friendly coffee shop on weekends, but is often a space for studious college students. I recommend the kimchi fries or the grilled chicken panini with honey mustard and avocado, they are some of my favorites.

Cafe oasis in the middle of some quieter residential parts of Queens. Right next to the laundromat (like literally connected on the inside). Walk to the back for more seating and a nice enclosed greenhouse type area. For those who are in the mood, wine and beer are available! Extensive food options on the menu (bagels, scones, sandwiches etc). Will be back as it looks like a super friendly working, chilling, hanging out cafe.

I had the pleasure of trying Bee Cafe's delicious cold brew coffee and it did not disappoint. Located in a very unusual and unique area, you'll see when you venture there, it is definitely not a secret to their faithful patrons. I look behind me after ordering and the line had formed quickly. People know what's up around here.

We love Bee Cafe. Coffee is excellent, food is delicious and healthy. Vibes are vibing; quieter on weekdays and great for working. Weekends are livelier and tougher to grab seating. Service is wonderful, friendly & helpful.

The food here is so cute and standardly delicious. We got the salmon lox bagel that was good with the toppings of capers and red onion. The apps were also warm and satisfying. The outdoor seating area is perfect to enjoy the outdoors. They have wifi and I used this as a study spot! Service is also great. Efficient and friendly. Would recommend

This is such an adorable and aesthetically cute cafe! We loved sitting in the outdoor patio area (covered and with air conditioning!) while we sipped and munched on our lunch. We ordered the kimchi fries, double pork buns, and the avocado toast, as well as an oat milk chai latte and an oat milk matcha latte. You're given a number by the cashier and they bring the food out to you. Food was prompt and presentation is beautiful! Kimchi fries were the perfect blend of salty, crunchy, tangy, and spicy. Pork buns were fluffy with the nice bite of the juicy pork. Avocado toast was so refreshing and I appreciated the fact that the toast was on the thinner side with the right amount of crunch. Drinks were wonderfully flavored as well! What an adorable little cafe!

Buzz buzz "Bee Cafe" ......now I'm spreading the news! This place is a hidden gem. Wanted to try a new breakfast venue and so glad I picked this placed. Was almost going to to give up since alternate side parking is Tuesday and Wednesday in the area and it took me some time to find street parking. Once you walk in, you'll think it's a small cozy cafe. Don't be fooled! Keep walking to the back and there is a whole enclosed area. Cafe by day and bar by night. The theme of the decor is wine and bees. I have this place on my to go to list for drinks. You order the food at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. I ordered the burata with mushroom. I thought it was a little bland after the first bite. It would have been nice to have a little salt and pepper on the tables. The presentation of the food was lovely though. I also ordered a latte. Pretty good. My friend had a sandwich with fries. Definitely not your typical type of cafe. More trendy style food. There is also Asia style bar food that you can order for breakfast as well. I was so tempted to have a beer and bar food for breakfast but I resisted.

Such a beautiful cafe! With both a cute indoor and outdoor dining area! Definitely choose to dine outside! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and provided recommendations if needed. The kimchi fries, fried fish, octopus and bubble tea were all very good. Definitely coming back here for more food! Would also love to host a group event, considering how beautiful the space is.

My friend and I needed an early AM cafe around Woodside and this is where Yelp lead us. As a directionally challenged individual, I recommend leveraging a map for first timers. Also, yes, this cafe is connected to the laundromat next door. Food: 3.5/5 I got a matcha latte (with oat milk) and my friend got a regular latte. We ordered one plate of the pork buns and the avocado toast. However, I found out that the avocado toast has cottage cream but this was not stated on the menu. As a lactose intolerant person, I had to send it back. They gave us another order but, they clearly only scraped off the cottage cheese. So I couldn't enjoy it as much as my friend. The pork buns was nice but, I am not sure I could pay $11 for it, again. Decor/Service: 4/5 The space is beautiful and very hipster. I felt like I was back in Brooklyn with the amount of edison light bulbs. The service was quick and I appreciated the reusable tableware. All in all, this place is good but, it is expensive. We spent around ~$35 with two drinks and two plates. I noticed that they are very aware of laptops in the evening which was interesting.

Coffee, Ambience, and a decent burger?!! While in NYC, this cute warm cafe has been one of the highlights. Bee cafe is right in the heart of the community serving coffee and food while maintaining a welcoming environment. This place has a lot of warm colors when you enter, and is reflected in their staff as well. There is plenty of seating and even a back patio area with heating and a cooling area which is even lovely on a rainy day. Food wise I got this hamburger which comes with fries and a coffee. The burger was simple and fresh tasting which is interesting for a burger. I don't usually think clean when thinking of a burger, but Bee cafe has figured it out. I also love their coffee. My buddy got the Avocado toast and on our first outing got the croissant ham and cheese sandwich. He is a regular at Bee Cafe and loves their food. Overall it was a great experience eating and drinking at Bee cafe while listening to tropical house play through their speakers. I can for sure see myself working in their environment in the future. 4 out of 5

I'll preface this review by saying that I found myself at Bee Cafe after being turned away from another brunch spot. So I was hungry and disappointed, but had seen that Bee Cafe had a cute backyard and a bottomless brunch special. Great! I called and they said they could hold onto a table in the garden for us while we drove over. When we arrived we were seated at the table they held, which was a 4 person table where guests were already sitting. There were plenty of other open spots so we asked a server if we could sit at another table by ourselves and they said yes, so we moved over. Then, when we tried to order the bottomless brunch special, we were told that they no longer offer it. The server was very nice but we were really disappointed since we had seen it on their menu here on Yelp. It was 1:00 PM at that point and we hadn't eaten all day so we ordered some food. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and we shared empanadas. The chicken sandwich was fine, but the fries tasted heavy and oil-logged. The empanada wasn't traditional but it was also just fine. We were told to pay at the counter, but had to wait in line for awhile behind people ordering before we could pay our bill. Was hoping that Bee Cafe would save the day and make for a better brunch experience than I had initially intended, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations.

Beautiful cafe. The design is interesting, refreshing and not like something typically founds in NYC. My tea was fresh and refreshing. My colleague also liked his coffee. My colleague received the wrong pastry, and my ham and cheese was cold and stale. I told the cashier but she was apathetic. I would come here to meet for work coffee, but don't expect gourmet food. I don't drink alcohol, but would imagine that this is a popular place with wine fans.

Super aesthetically pleasing and cute cafe! We stopped by here before making the drive back home to Boston. We sat in the patio area at the back of the cafe, at first it seems like a small cafe but when you keep walking to the back it's spacious and decorated really nicely. Many good food/brunch options and on the weekends they have more options! Many different types of drinks to choose from as well. The tapioca balls in the bubble tea was nothing special but the drinks themselves tasted really good. The breakfast sandwich I had was really good as well, and the staff was very kind and friendly here. I had a hard time picking what I wanted to eat since I wanted to try a lot. I would definitely come back to this cafe if I am ever back in the area and would recommend if you're looking for a nice brunch/cafe to sit at! :)

Cute spot for a coffee and/or beer! Stopped in on a rainy Saturday afternoon with my sister and I had an iced coffee, she had a matcha latte. Both drinks were solid, but what we loved was the ambiance. There is so much greenery in the cafe and it felt very cozy! Will have to come back to go to the beer garden!

Service was really nice as waiters. They're so friendly and they were accommodating to our semi last minute group of 13. empanadas were the best i've had. the beef or pork one (forgot) has a nice curry flavor. iced americano was a 10/10. I think they just forgot 2 of our orders so it was delayed but the beautiful outdoor seating and sweet service made up for it :) if back in NY definitely want to try their sold out bao next time.

The decor in this place is stunning. It's your regular cafe with a few pluses. So it has a laundromat so you can drink and do a chore lol. They have charging ports so you can use them while you're studying or on your laptop. They have a lush menu. Great fresh coffee single origin. No laptops after 5. They have a wine and craft beer menu as an added plus they have a beer garden. This place is amazing. You get a bunch of things in one place. The owner is a designer so the decor is immaculate and his hobby is plants. There are plants everywhere its relaxing and beautiful. I had avocado toast it tasted very very good but was over salt a little. It was very filling would def order again but would ask for it with less salt. So glad we found this place.

What a beautiful little shop! I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a decent amount of people there, did not take long to get seated though. I got the grilled chicken panini and it was delicious - the bread had a good crunch and the brie, avocado and mustard mayo made a great combo. The dish also comes with fries so overall portion was great. My friend got the bagel special and really enjoyed it as well. I got a taro boba and my friend got lychee. The bubble tea itself was great - but the boba was a little hard. My favorite thing was the decor on the inside. Lots of plants and sunlight throughout the entire store. When you first walk in it looks a little small and there is a connection to the laundromat next door. There is another room with seating though at the end of the hall and the place is surprisingly big! I would definitely come back

I was taken by surprise at how well decorated this cafe is. I stopped by with coworkers to get some work done and upon entering I noticed the beautiful indoor plants set up in front. As you walk inside you will see a wine cellar on the side and then a door to an outdoor sunroom (which had heating as well). I loved the RV back drop and decor setup. In terms of the coffee, the lattes were good and I also noticed they serve lunch/dinner food like burgers, fries etc. It seems to include pretty much everything here (even alcohol). They host events as well upon request which is a nice use of the outdoor space. I will definitely be back when I'm around the area!

This place is one of the Woodside's hidden gems! The interior decor is very colorful, soothing and very lovely! If you're looking for a place to escape for a bit from your busy life and have some good food and drinks while at it this is the place for you. I ordered the Avocado Toast while looked amazing while looking at other Yelp photos and it sure did not disappoint. My only complaint is seems like whoever prepared it might have been a little to generous with salt but overall it was delicious! This place has a back room along with a spacious garden in which you can enjoy some of the beers they have for sale. I would recommend coming here and relaxing for a bit!

This place is a GEM!!! The food was amazing and the ambience was very relaxing in the back outside area. It was so chill and cozy. The service was great and everyone was very polite. Definitely worth it and I'm coming back

Not many people were inside this well-decorated cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Cozy interior with seating inside and outside, as well as being connected to the laundromat next door. Order up front and take a seat for food to be delivered. Ordered the 12 oz. Latte ($5) as well as the Burrata Toast ($14) and Kimchi Fries ($13). Coffee is great - lots of flavor and not overly bitter. The toast is off to the side as the burrata is placed in the center, surrounded by some mushrooms. Wish the bread was a thicker cut to better pair with the cheese. Fine flavor overall; could have used some chili or another spice. Kimchi fries are well crisped and topped by a tangy sauce. An odd breakfast choice but definitely the best dish of the afternoon. Like the overall vibe of the place, as plants surround the inside and the music isn't overbearing. Worth a visit even just for a coffee.

We go to this cafe regularly. The coffee, food, ambiance and the friendly staff are great. My family enjoy going there. There's a little garden in the back of the cafe with outdoor seating. Definitely worth it.

I can't believe I lived in this area for 22 years and never knew this place opened up so close to me! It's so cute and their coffee is amazing!! The interior is to die for and it's located in a laundry mat. Talk about vibes. Consider me a regular!!

I felt I was on a quest for best coffee places in woodside as I am a coffee addict. I'm so glad that one of my friend told me about this cafe in my neighborhood. The moment I laid eyes on this one I fell in love with the decor. Very serene, green everywhere you just feel that fresh vibe when you enter this cafe. Their out door is one of the best I have seen. They have one outdoor in the front and another one at the back which you will have to go through. They also have fine wine and beer. I have tried coffee, love their coffee. Shirley(I hope the spelling is correct lol) makes great coffee and she is always welcoming. I love their chicken and beef empanadas, Banana nut bread is yummy with pieces of walnuts and chocolate chips.

This place is truly a secret gem and my ideal study environment. If you walk to the back, there's a beautiful study garden, filled with plants, with peaceful, no-lyric music playing. It's a student's dream; so serene feeling and easy to focus. The pictures do no justice. It also has both fans and heaters so that you can tune the temperature according to the day's weather. My only complaint is that there are no charging ports in the garden (you'll have to go inside) and the policy of no laptops after 5, but I understand that they want to change the environment to being a beer garden in the evenings. As far as the food, their chicken sandwich is AMAZING. Me and my friend don't even like dark meat but agreed that the sandwich is so good that we didn't even notice. The coffee, i'll be honest - it's mediocre and the place would benefit from more flavor offerings, but the ambience makes up for it.

This place feels like the heart of Woodside. Great coffee, great food, great vibes. The employees are also fantastic and it's a great place to work or just chill during the day. They have a back patio that's really nice. Whole place is decorated very thoughtfully as well!

Came here over the weekend for a morning hangout and was very impressed with this coffee shop. When we got to the shop, we noticed it was right next to a laundromat and thought- wow everyone who needs a quick bite or a cup of coffee can easily get something from the cafe next door! To our surprise, I think both coffee shop and laundromats are operated by the same owner- there is a "door" between the two inside so you can walk between the cafe and laundromat. Anywho, just thought this was a smart idea! In front of the cafe is a outdoor seating that is self seating as long as you made a purchase or a customer of the laundromat. Very cute decor, comfy looking seating and very spacious! We went to sit at the back in the beer garden that had heated lamps (even though it was really nice out!) and again, another VERY cute outdoor-ish seating that is super spacious for hangouts! I think I saw some games as well- either way, the space is very nice. They offer food options, your regular coffee and tea options. I got a croissant and hot chocolate. Croissant was warmed which was a nice touch and hot chocolate was just a tad sweet but overall, ambiance, food AND the service was spot on. The lady who greeted us was very nice, smiley and very welcoming. I am not in the neighborhood often, but would be back if I am!

Cozy neighborhood cafe! Perfect for afternoon hot chocolate with side of chocolate crinkle cookie. It is very welcoming and cozy ambiance. They check your temperature-when you walk in and if stay in there is a barcode scan for contact tracing . Outside area is available to seat and enjoy quiet time. Currently they have Holiday raffle you can enter if you spend $20. They have selection of baked goods , sandwiches and drinks. Great spot in the neighborhood.
