New Belgium Brewing Review - Mission Bay - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"A massive space in Mission Bay with tons of seating and standing room? Check. Plenty of beers on tap, including several that are actually brewed in-house? Yup. A menu by two former Noosh chefs, like tacos on paratha bread, Mission-style hot dogs, and fries with a creamy umami dipping sauce? Well, you already know the answer. If you’ve learned anything from reading this, it’s that New Belgium Brewery absolutely fits the bill if you’re looking to organize a casual, beer-centric catch-up with friends, or a spot to eat and drink before a Giants or Warriors game - Oracle Park and the Chase Center are both are within walking distance." - Lani Conway

Very busy place. Got the games on, coincidentally the TVs were frozen during the Indiana OKC game because of the weather. The pretzel is giant and looked so good. We ordered the BLT and flat tire chicken. We both agreed that the quality was surprisingly good for an airport. That's not condescending, it's just that we are in airports quite frequently and it's rare to have this high of quality. Pricing was reasonable and average for what they do. They do also get a nice beer crowd. The kitchen puts out food very quick with very high quality.

Google
Great spot to unwind during a layover! New Belgium Brewing at DEN has an impressive beer selection (as you’d expect) and some surprisingly solid craft cocktails, too. The food menu stands out—especially the burritos, which look crazy good. I’ve been told the State Taco is the top seller, and it definitely caught my eye. That said, prices are on the higher side—$18.95 for a burrito feels steep, even for an airport. Still, if you’re craving a quality drink and a satisfying bite before your flight, it’s worth the stop.

For $22 dollars for a chicken sandwich and a $20 chicken salad sandwich, you’d would reasonably expect good food and service and we experienced neither. The pretzel and croissant buns were dry. The chicken was dry and stringy and actually hurt my incisors a bit. Zooming into the photo, you can see how stringy the overdone chicken is. The bacon on the sandwich was thick, overly cooked, overly seasoned with black pepper, and greasy. I had to remove the bacon to make the sandwich edible. The chicken salad was just salty. Our waiter seemed more depressed than we were after traveling for 17+ hours and did not ever check on us or offered drink refills. I hope the staff is paid well but they appear unhappy.

Google
They obviously have good beer. The food was pretty good although part of my burger tasted... bad/old? Most of my burger was fine (warning that the Angry Goat burger is HOT, there are big chunks of fresno peppers in it), but I picked off parts of the meat that taste and looked a little off. However, the fries were A+++. Our server was very nice but the service is VERY slow, especially for an airport bar.

Google
Grabbed a quick breakfast here after a misconnection. It was busy, but people are constantly leaving, so was able to find a table. Prices were reasonable for the airport and food was freshly made. Ordered an Uptown Sandwich and a Sunshine Scramble. Food came out within 10 minutes and was of good quality, good portions, and freshly made. It was a good breakfast to help pass the time of a misconnection in Denver.

Google
I get that this is an airport and can be busy at times, but it was not busy at all when we were there yet all of the staff was cold and rarely checked on us. The food is decent and prices are your typical uncharged airport prices. Atmosphere was noisy, as you’d expect, but it was still a decent spot to stop and wait between flights. Probably the best option for sit down at the gate.

Google
My family and I eat this morning while on our layover home. The food was really really good, the sausage was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the pepper bacon was perfect and the potatoes were also perfectly cooked. My wife and daughter had the breakfast burritos and they raved about them as well. The staff were friendly, attentive, and the wait after we ordered was minimal. If we fly through Denver again I will be going here to eat.

Google
I wasn't really hungry, but prefer to be stuffed when traveling. I had fish tacos, and they were really good! The waiter had no problem with me ditching the coleslaw, and was really friendly, too. If you're looking for a quick bite on the go, it is definitely more tasty and healthy than your typical airport restaurant.

Yelp
My husband and I had a layover in Denver and we were struggling to find a place we wanted to eat. We wandered all over the terminal before laying eyes on a menu for New Belgium Brewing. The place was packed with lots of people drinking and watching TV which is always a good sign. This place is a seat yourself, but the waiter came to us right away. We quickly ordered nachos to share, and our meal was brought out fast. We didn't try any drinks, but everyone else's around us looked really good. The nachos were great! The queso was really tasty and the guacamole was fresh. This is definitely somewhere we would come back should we find ourselves hungry in the Denver airport again.

Yelp
It's rare to find such a good place to grab a bite in an airport, but this place is it. A few years ago my husband and I had breakfast here before an early flight back to the east coast. It was so good it was memorable- and it drew me back in today, this time for lunch. I sat at the bar and plugged in my laptop to work a little on my long layover. I was really torn between a few things on the menu, and the bartender recommended the BLT. So glad he did! The bacon is a spicy candied bacon, and it comes in sourdough. I added the avocado which was a nice cooling and fresh balance to the sweet, spicy, and meaty bacon. Next time I'm flying through Denver I'll definitely be eating here again...!

Yelp
I had a bit of time and needed something to eat, so I found this New Belgium spot near my gate while on a layover at DEN recently. The sign said to seat yourself so I grabbed a spot at a side counter. It was a little busy, but someone came over and got my drink order. I went with a Fat Tire, because when at New Belgium I guess. It was crisp and cold. I ordered the Cobb salad for lunch, and it was a huge portion! It seemed fresh and had a ton of toppings. It took a bit for me to get my bill, but otherwise the service was good and I was in and out with plenty of time to make it to my gate.

Yelp
One of the best options to eat and watch a game in the Denver Airport, especially if you like their beer. I'm a big fan of their Fat Tire pale ale. Check out the chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun with bacon. Super tasty. They make some good salads as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent sit down full service restaurant at the Denver airport. Had the chicken salad sandwhich and it was served on a croissant. It came with an order of fries. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Probably a 4 star place but the service made it 5 stars for me.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Second time here. Not sure what happened to my first review. We both like the Fat Tire beer. I had the Fat Tire grilled chicken sandwich and fries, which were both delicious. My wife loved her chicken salad sandwich, which she had on sourdough. She went as far as to say it was extraordinary. Now that's high praise. Service was a bit slow before the initial greeting but fantastic after. We won't hesitate to come back again.

Yelp
Fish tacos were pretty good, but a bit of a mess - not neatly assembled or whatever - so I just used a fork while my friends mercilessly clowned on me. Cilantro garnish was unnecessary tho. Chips salsa was good.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service. I had a 25 minute layover and needed a quick bite. Was able to put in a to-go order at the bar and a grab a beer. Food was out in 10 min and bartender was kind enough to close me out right away with a near full bar. I dug into the Ancho Chicken Chili Tacos on the plane. Amazing flavor, loved the salsa. Came with either a side of tortilla chips or fries. The fries were perfect. To-go packaging did well and was easy no-mess on board. Will dine here again next time I pass thru Denver Airport.

Yelp
Wow, the breakfast burrito was great. I got the spicy one with the little avocado sliver on top. Very good. Tried a few of the beers. The ipa's are all good, but the star was the tripel! It is a little malty for a tripel but the rest of the flavor was full enough I quickly ignored the malty taste and savored the rest. While we were actually in the SW terminal, it wasn't too hard to travel a terminal over to dine here. It is SELF SEATING and some of the staff WILL rip you apart behind your back or, in one case while we were there, to your face. It's really the only reason I pulled off a Star, it was funny to hear at first but literally shut up about it and attempt to focus on anything else, stop coming up and complaining to the bartender every single time you walk up to the bar. We would have stayed for another beer but seriously it got draining listening to it. I will say the bartender listened and didn't participate. I respect that. I've worked in this setting many a times, I get it, but at least go back to the kitchen so customers don't have to hear you for 2 hours+ Thankfully I have another long layover here in a couple weeks and plan to make my way for a burrito and a couple tripels.

Yelp
Stopped by for a coffee. The line at Starbucks next store was so long that I decided to try NBB. Hands down the best iced vanilla latte (5+/5) I've ever tasted!! And the service? As friendly as it gets (5+/5). This place is a gem : ) Highly recommended.

Yelp
5 for airport standards. Sit down for groups and a bar, with to go options as well. I ordered the Cobb salad which hit the spot. The chicken was flavorful and cooked nicely. After a long day of travel the pineapple margarita was exactly what I needed. Staff was quick with service and great at checking in, even with many customers.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
I had some extra time so I stopped into this place for dinner before my flight. I had the burger - done exactly how I asked - plus fries which were okay and, of course, one of their beers, which are among my favorite in the country. Unfortunately, you pay a premium given it's at the airport.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Got takeout for breakfast. Eggs, toast, and potatoes were decent - only complaint is potatoes were way too salty. The burrito was really good, only complaint was salt level also likely due to the potatoes. Solid oatmeal raisin cookie. Overall seemed like quality ingredients, so I'd give it another try, but the salty potatoes were a miss.

Yelp
Terrible customer service don't come here. Do yourself a favor, walk a few gates further to Smash Burger. Better service, prices, and general ambiance. I wanted to eat here Friday pm 11/8 but the lady seating me was so rude I said forget it and left. The "service" I experienced is a stain on the brand. Glad I went elsewhere, as I had an excellent experience after leaving.

Yelp
Food here was excellent. And not just for airport food! Fries were crispy/salty and bacon was also crispy & delicious! The beer was cold & service was quick! Saved us from eating airport food court food for sure!

Yelp
We were starving after a long morning flight from the East Coast. This restaurant was near our gate and wasn't extremely packed so we found a spot and sat (I think they had a hostess later in the day). It's a sports bar vibe with New Belgium beers and tavern food. We enjoyed our 5280 Burrito and Market Burrito, which hit the spot. Prices were what you would expect at an airport but not exhorbitantly so. Good option if you are in this terminal.

Michael R.

Yelp
Gave my wife a great beer recommendation based on what she described and my angry goat burger was delicious.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
While I was on my few hour layover I stopped at this spot for dinner as it was next to my terminal/ gate for my next flight! It was pretty backed so I just got my order to go which was a bacon burger that came with fries so I got that and a drink and it was a little pricey but what do you expect from an airport restaurant haha! But it was very delicious and filling! The ambiance was more of a sports bar feel but it was still a cool please but if your looking for quite and relaxing this isn't it! The service was very quick and fast and I got my food hot and fresh and in a very timely manner! Would definitely recommend this place if you ever passing through the Denver airport and looking for a good spot to eat!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is - 3 out of 5. Service- 1 out 5. Ambiance- is a 5 out of 5 It is a great spot cool view. However, complacency is evident among the staff, chitter chatter, customers looking around waiting to be tended to... I'm literally sitting here waiting to see if any one will offer me something to eat lol - I should not have to raise my hand to order fries in this place lol - son of a biscuit and gravy.. It is cool. 3 Stars for now, maybe I caught this place at a super busy time, I will try again soon and will provide an update. My Jack and coke, the coke was flat, so I ordered it neat and that was that. Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent all around! Had a 3 hour layover in Denver, so stopped in. Sports bar vibe... Manager seating people was super nice, we had to wait in line but she talked to everyone the whole time and was personable as she was hustling watching for tables to get free for the customers waiting! A short 15 min wait and we got our table! Then we have the best server ever (i wish i got his name ) Service was fast and food was fast, which you want at an airport when you are working with limited time during layovers! But more important the food was excellent. Every single thing we had! Kids chicken nuggets, juicy well cooked chicken Fries, home fresh potato fries, excellent Fish tacos, full of flavor a must have Burger, great flavored meat, juicy and cooked to perfection Ranch, homemade with a hint of dill! I highly recommend you give them a try if you are in Denver airport and looking for a quick sit-down place for a bite! If you see a line don't let that deter you, as it moves really fast.
google avatar

Yelp
Food service everything was exceptional! my son recommended this place 'The best burger anywheres' and he eats burgers EVERYwhere he is on the road weekly! We ordered the 303 burger w Tillamook cheese and the grilled Chicken sandwich - omg - both were exceptional and the service was great! Everything was served fresh and like a high end restaurant. Thank you!
google avatar

Bhanu R.

Yelp
I was waiting to board my plane and went to this place to grab some food and drinks. They were quick at seating me and the waitress was prompt at taking my order and the food was delivered to my table really quick. Food was good and the service was quick. I recommend the place
google avatar

Darya S.

Yelp
Wow, probably the best airport food I've ever had. What a blessing to have a layover at the Denver airport! I got the angry goat burger. That combination of beef, high-quality bacon, goat cheese, and pepper jam was paradise in my mouth. I love that they don't make it too big so that it's fairly convenient to eat while you're so disheveled at your gate. The simple salad it comes with is appreciated, too. You can't go wrong eating here!
google avatar

Robbie R.

Yelp
Great spot if in the B concourse at DEN. I ordered the nachos and was a huge appetizer. Great flavor, loved the pulled pork, and can't beat the beer selection. Not a huge menu, but lots of good options! Definitely worth a look!!
google avatar

Gabrielle E.

Yelp
Was looking for a place to grab dinner while waiting for my flight and landed at New Belgium Brewing. I sat at the bar and the bartender quickly came over to service me. I opted for the "jalapeño bizness" margarita and fish tacos. Both were slightly spicier than I expected but were so good. The tacos were delicious, although small but came with tortilla chips and salsa.
google avatar

Justine D.

Yelp
There was a wait so we got seated at the bar. Super friendly bartender. The hubby and I were starving and got the nachos with pork... holy guacamole it was huge and so delicious. We were gonna order more but had no room left haha. Who knew that cheese curds could taste so good with chips and salsa. Highly recommend. Also, for airport food, it ended up being 10 bucks each split down the middle which is pretty impressive for a sit down restaurant.
google avatar

Mike Z.

Yelp
Was lucky to get two seats at the bar. This place was packed. Service was great especially considering this is an airport concourse location! Prices are typical of what you expect from the airport. The giant pretzel was more than enough to share. The mustard was ok but didn't care for the cheese dip consistency and taste.
google avatar

Falin G.

Yelp
We had new Belgium in the airport so I know it is not quite the same. However, the people working there were nice and it didn't take too long to get my food. I had their grilled cheese just because I needed something quick that might not upset my stomach. It was good, but their beer selection looked decent to be in the airport. I didn't have time to look very closely at their taps though.
google avatar

Doug K.

Yelp
The food and service was excellent. Ian is a real asset to this bar and we look forward to our next visit on our way home from Hawaii.
google avatar

Baldemar R.

Yelp
Showed up a little after lunch but at an airport I don't think that matters. So this place you sit yourself and it looked liked there were plenty of servers ready to take your order. All tables have QR codes you have to scan for the menu. It was a toss up between the nachos as I saw plenty of pics of those. But decided to try the bacon cheeseburger and was not disappointed! You can tell the quality of the ingredients and the sauces they make in house. I had the pleasure to be helped by Jonah and if your near terminal B stop by! I didn't try a beer but they looked good!
google avatar

Veronique B.

Yelp
Worst service ever. The waitress had a terrible attitude. It pains me to say that as I was a server for 7 years. The beers came out with the food, when we asked about them the attitude got worse. The food was just ok. Save your money, go elsewhere.
google avatar

Rob N.

Yelp
Damn good burger and super fresh beers. Way overpriced - but it's an airport, so that's not a surprise. Worth a stop on a layover.
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
An oasis in Denver airport. Great beer, good unhealthy food, great service. They got it all going on here.
google avatar

Clayton T.

Yelp
We had a slight layover for our next flight. Staff @ New Belgium was helpful and prompt. Our server detected and error with our order and immediately corrected it, so that we received our food and drink in time to make our connecting flight. :) Food and drink quality was pretty good too!
google avatar

Stacy F.

Yelp
A-OK bar and eatery inside of the Denver Airport. I was with a few co-workers that had flights leaving around the same time as mine, so we popped in here and had a few drinks before leaving to go back to our homes. It's self seat, which is a little awkward, but not horrible. They really don't have tables for more than four people, so if you have a larger group you'll probably need two tables. We sat in the back corner booth / table space as we had five people and this was a spot that allowed us to add a chair on the end without overcrowding another table next to us. We were greeted by our server, who was very nice and quick on orders. We all had a glass of wine and two of the wine glasses were brought out with wine dripped over and on the bottom rim, which was a little eh, cause red wine stains easy. The remainder glasses were fine, so maybe just a spillage? We had a shared order of fries. They were a bit over salted, but were good overall. We had to ask for ketchup as it's not brought with the fries and we were not asked if we needed any. Not a huge deal. Overall: B A couple of hiccups, but a-ok overall for a sit down bar and eatery in the airport.
google avatar

Sam P.

Yelp
Terrible hospitality! Charged 25$ for a burger but they wont let you sit down to eat it. Girl with the tattoos who took my order was perfectly nice but the policy of the order window is completely non-sensical. Bartender guy with the dark hair and scruffy hair face was a complete asshole about it, even though there were plenty of empty tables and seats at the bar. Was not expecting this low level of hospitality in Denver, wont ever return to a New Belgium brewery or restaurants
google avatar

Jerome L.

Yelp
End of business trip, time to grab dinner before going home. Stopped by with my colleague where we split one of the Voodoo Ranger Pretzels and a solid meal. Pretty good texture on a pretzel but I had to scrape off some of the sea salt. I had a chicken sandwich and he had a burger. We were both sated. Good service and food.
google avatar

Shauna B.

Yelp
When in the Denver airport, great place to stop for burgers and yummy sandwiches during layovers.
google avatar

Shawna A.

Yelp
Keto friendly menu!! It was so great to be able to stick to my nutritional goals during travel.
google avatar

Wayne J.

Yelp
Look elsewhere. I'm not one to openly complain, but ... told the waitress the half-eaten (I was hungry) pulled pork was salted to the point of inedible. She volunteered to remove from bill. Music too loud ¬- must have a strong voice to converse and good ears to hear. Asked to have it lowered; was told it could NOT be done. Tried a different seat, still too loud.
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
Great place to stop in the terminal for a meal and tasty beverage. Service was great and we were seated immediately. The food is of the "bar food" variety but everything we ordered was tasty.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
Credit where credit is due, this is one of the most efficient airport restaurant/bars I've been to. It's always a fine line--whether you have enough time to eat and grab a drink prior to boarding. Life is short, who wants to wait for the complimentary crackers on the flight? I'm a cold beer and cheesy sandwich kind of dude, and New Belgium delivered all around. 4pm on a Thursday, this place was in FULL happy hour mode. I was lucky enough to grab one of the final seats at the bar. (Always sit at the bar, kiddos) These bartenders were charismatic as hell, captivating the entire bar. It truly was a sight for sore eyes. Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze. An absolute juice-bomb that had me feeling groovy. Paired with the Voodoo Ranger Grilled Cheese? Talk dirty to me. Ooey, gooey, buttery succulence. To be honest, the fries were MONEY. Sorry Guy, had to steal your tagline. The fries stole the show. The prices are inflated due to its airport location, but not enough to tamper one from coming here. 100% worth it, y'all.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
Was seated at the bar immediately. Just sat there for 10 minutes and couldn't even get eye contact from a bar tender. Even my attempts to wave were not responded to until the guys next to me started laughing at the comedy. When a bartender finally came around, he told me that they were busy and turned away. The guys next to me were dumbfounded. $30 lunch was at a crappy chain instead and there are other beers to drink. Run it right, or hurt your brand.

Edward K.

Yelp
The new owners of this brewery are idiots for changing fat tire to a blonde beer I hope they lose their ass, I'll never buy a beer of there's again. I'll go back to Alaskan Amber.
google avatar

Rick H.

Yelp
Love the way airports are stepping up there game with good bars and restaurants; New Belgium brewery is in that league! Great beer selection and a good menu that is simple and doesn't over complicate things. The guy next to me was having a burger with bacon, maybe Gouda, lettuce and tomato. I unfortunately only had time for a couple of beers so missed on the opportunity to order food, but I definitely had food envy. Atmosphere was light and airy, the place was full and the people friendly. Soccer filled the screen of the deluxe widescreen in hi-def providing something other than the airport to look at. I will be back to try the food - the tacos also looked good. Price is still a little high due to the airport influence, not really sure why that had to be? Is it high rent or captive audience fee.....I'll have to try and find out.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst ever customer service I was treated horribly by the bar staff They seem to have a vendetta I have always been a fan of new Belgium brewery but not in the Denver airport Avoid this place
google avatar

Rose M.

Yelp
Very good breakfast our waitress is very nice and helpful just a quick stop before we fly off. Croissant sandwich egg and sausage with potatoes added avocado but it should have came with . Need some type of suce. It was on the dry side. Breakfast burrito was good but felt like it should have a little bit more kick to it.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
We are here between flights. We were on a mission to find this place, not to be confused with the other tap house. The pretzel is quite possibly the best I've ever had, and huge. The cheese and dips are phenomenal. Then we had the nachos, again a huge portion... Which it should be for the prices, but one is hostage in an airport, so I expect overpriced food. I wish there was a location near my home that I could visit when not flying through Denver... although, we did specifically fly through Denver so that we could eat here again.
