This was my first time coming to this Chinese restaurant, I find it difficult to get good Chinese food especially when I am craving it. So on this day, it was raining and I decided to see how it went. I met up with some friends and I was surprised how much food we got! We got the Moo Goo Gai Pan, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Dragon & Phoenix. All delicious but my favorite out of the three I loved the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Each dish comes with steamed white rice or fried rice. The service was so fast! I only gave it 4 stars there due to there was only 1 person working phones, tables, and take-out orders. Despite this she was very fast, just not as attentive. Parking is a little tight so just an FYI.

Google
This is my favorite chinese restaurant in the springs. The lemon chicken is so crunchy and tangy. I love the lo mein. My husband loves the mongolian beef. The staff is friendly. Please go in and sit down the food is way better. It's so good when it's hot and fresh. The service is amazing.

Google
I love this place the best rice and chicken wings since I’ve been out here and I’m from Atlanta so it ain’t that many good Chinese places but this one right here is amazing and Colorado Springs. It’s amazing chicken always on point rice always fresh. I love this place.

Mimi

Google
My daughters love ordering the chicken lo mein from here. We have always ordered our food from here to be delivered (we have never dined-in) and we have been ordering from here for more than seven years. Occasionally we will have a spilled sauce but we have always received exactly what we ordered and it has been very good. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a great Chinese restaurant delivery service and especially for those who enjoy chicken lo mein.

Google
I really wanted this place to be good - but it wasn't. The spring rolls and crab ragoons were ok, but the rest was awful. The beef and broccoli was odd tasting, and the pad Thai was horrendous. It should be sour, slightly sweet and spicy. I asked for extra spicy. It was bland, bland, bland. None of the flavors you would expect and zero spice, despite my request. Worst Pad Thai I've ever had.

Jazz Jones

Google
Been craving fried rice all day so decided to try this place. The hostess was professional and friendly. I ordered egg drop soup and combination fried rice. The egg drop soup was really tasty, but the fried rice tasted like it was a day old. The shrimp was flavorless and had no firmness. As soon as my tongue touched it, it turned to mush in my mouth. The other meats had similar taste and texture. All of the ingredients including the rice and vegetables tasted spoiled and I am now worried I have food poisoning. I paid and left without finishing even half of my food. If it wasn't for the hostess, this would be a 1-star review. edit: I've changed my 2 star to 1 star. I'm violently vomiting after eating from here. I do not recommend this restaurant

Google
We order delivery from them all the time and love it. We decided to go in person on our way to somwhere else. We all tried something different. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Definitely recommend. Portions are generous. Service is fast and food is fresh!

Google
Ordered the pork fried rice medium spice, plain pork with a few slices of raw jalapeño is what must make this "medium spice" The pork seems to just be unseasoned with only a bit of egg and a lot of onion in the rice. Many better local options. They were fast and polite but can't imagine ordering from here again

Yelp
These guys are my go to for fast delivery. I'm just a couple miles away. I love their Kung pow triple delight. Also they have a combination wonton soup that is packed full of goodness. Highly recommend recommended.

Yelp
Came to have a date with my daughter and we would come back for just the egg drop soup! It was so yummy and the service was amazing. We were in and out within 30 minutes.

Yelp
Absolutely delectable. I don't even know what that means but it fits this restaurant. I travel to Colorado every few years just to go here. I love the low mein and soup is good too. I asked for the spicy mustard challenge and it was fun and exciting. Tea was good too. Also the whole feel of the restaurant was absolutely fire. I don't care if you live across the globe come to New China Kitchen 2 it is the best meal anybody could ever have ever. Gordon Ramsay, get out! Make room for New China Kitchen 2! Infinity better than Hell's Kitchen I've been to both Gordon Ramsay looks like an absolute trash baby compared to this place. Five stars

Yelp
Ordered take out and while the food isn't bad there's really no flavor to it even tho it's covered in sauce
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant has excellent service, but the Chinese Food was average. I've ordered three entrées to get a good sampling of the menu. I ordered 3 soups as part of the appetizer and the hot and sour and wonton soups were excellent, but entrées were just okay. The entrees I ordered were Szechuan pork, pad thai and drunken noodles. The Szechuan pork was good, the drunken noodles were about average and the pad thai was below par. This restaurant gives huge food portions, so I had a lot of leftovers, and the service was excellent.

Yelp
Terrible, no taste or flavor. Great service. They got my order wrong. To much money for that.

Mary G.

Yelp
I recently had their Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is chicken and vegetables. The chicken was a too soft, mushy texture, almost like eating fat or uncooked chicken. I called and got the impression that maybe they are trying to tenderize the chicken, as he said "to be easier to eat" Using egg white and either was it baking soda? I tried microwaving it some to see if it would change to chicken breast texture, and it didn't help, had to throw the chicken out.

Christina S.

Yelp
I spent a lot of money on this food believing that the taste would be well worth it. I was wrong. They would not substitute noodlrs for rice so I had to purchase the noodles, which I thought was wrong. Then I realized the noodles wern't worth it. Not only was I not satisfied with the food, but after receiving an order that was a pretty big meal and cost quite a bit I found that there were no utensils and no napkins and only one soy sauce. How are you supposed to split one soy sauce with 3 people. I mean even McDonalds gives you napkins and ketchup. This was insane. The food was not worth the price and it is just sad how you pay for all this food and not one damn napkin, What a rip off!! I will not order from here again.

Yelp
I stopped by New China Kitchen 2 on my way home and grabbed some Chicken Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon, and Hot and Sour Soup to go. I didn't call ahead so expected a small wait, which was only about 10 minutes. The woman who I am assuming was the owner seemed nice. A young man I am assuming was her grandson took my order. They had a table reserved for folks to sit and wait for their to go orders which I thought was a nice touch. I was disappointed with the food in general but I was very disappointed with the Hot and Sour Soup. It was bland, lacked taste in general and didn't have a lot of of vegetable or normal hot and sour soup contents. I would suggest you avoid this restaurant if you like Chinese food, there are a lot better options in the springs.

Kevin F.

Yelp
Let me start bu saying my wife and I have ordered from them for years spent hundreds if not thousands if dollars there. The food is good but there customer service is absolutely horrible. I am not one to write a review but they are a bunch .... let just say if they make a mistake (and it happens to all of us) they will do nothing NOTHING. To correct it. The last thing I said to them was you are willing to let a 17 years worth of customer over the cost of a po po platter . They said nothing..... .... nothing speaks volumes!!!!!

Yelp
Great food, courteous service! This is one of my favorite Chinese food spots in Colorado Springs!

Yelp
This is one of the best Chinese places in town, as far as I'm concerned. I've had various varieties of lo mein and fried rice, sesame chicken & beef, various sweet & sours and all kinds of other stuff. Everything has always been delicious. My daughter and I caught a quick early dinner this past weekend and enjoyed the Pu Pu Platter, sweet & sour shrimp, General Tso's chicken (with white meat) and plain fried rice. The egg drop soup was good, and typical of most Chinese places. Everything on the Pu Pu Platter was excellent. Our entrees were delicious, and the fried rice was typical filler. Good service, very economical prices.

Yelp
The food, prices, and service was terrible. We got there at 3:05. The waitress said we were able to order off the lunch menu when we received our ticket, she charged us for the dinner. I specifically asked the waitress if we can order off the lunch menu because it was five minutes after three, she said, of course, which she probably didn't even understand me because we couldn't understand anything she said to us. When I told the owner, she said that the soup was not included. So for three lunches, she charged us over $60. We will not be going there anytime soon.
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered the General Tao chicken, sesame chicken, hot & spicy soup and egg drop soup. Both chicken dishes were delicious. The chicken batter was crispy even with the sauces. The soups were tasty on this cold day. The hot & spicy was the favorite. The service was fast, but they did not rush you out the door. It's not the fanciest of places, just casual dining. We will be back to try something new.

Butch H.

Yelp
The food has no flavor very bland also fried rice and egg drop soup not good. I don't suggest this place.

Phil G.

Yelp
Veggie fried rice very plain with zero veggies , sweet n sour chicken was very dry and veggies barely cooked. Egg roll and wontons good but meal lackluster, but delivery was quick!
google avatar

Yelp
Has the freshest cashew chicken with whole cashews!!!!!!!, best wonton soup and super fast delivery. This restaurant never fails to make a delicious meal!!!!

Yelp
Was surprised to see avg 3 rating fir this wonderful restaurant. This is our go to place for Chinese food. We love it. The hot and sour soup is the best we've had. Love their egg rolls and crab Rangoon. The garlic pork, sesame chicken and happy family are fans as well as the combination chow fun. Service is excellent. Our family travels from west side of the Springs to eat here. Have had great results with take out too...

Yelp
We've been searching for a delicious chinese restaurant that delivers to our house and I've legit tried tons but this one was surprisingly delicious. We always order a large variety of things so that we can eat family style. I would definitely say that I prefer the dinner portions for the price by far than the lunch portions. The egg foo young was AMAZING and it was huge!!! I love that they pre-added the sauce to it because it literally gave it a whole another level of deliciousness because it got to soak in the flavor. I really liked the general tso's chicken and the chicken and snow peas. The egg rolls were AMAZING! I love a good cabbage filled egg roll and these were delicious! If I have to make any suggestions, it would be nice to have an option to get fried rice with the dinner portions instead of just white rice on door dash. But honestly, I'm not going to complain, the food was so fresh, flavorful, and amazing.

Yelp
I almost did not try this because the rating was only a 3. We moved here from New Jersey last year and have tried a dozen or more Chinese restaurants to find the right one. I think we found it now. Order was over phone and hassle free no communication issues. Food was ready as promised and delicious. Glad we can give it a 5 to move score. Definitely recommend and will go back!!

Yelp
I have never had dumplings before and wanted to give them a try! The pan fried pork dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and well cooked! I really enjoyed the plain steamed rice with just soy sauce! Will be back to try a cocktail! You can order take out & delivery here! I ordered inside and was able to wait for my food!

Tanya G.

Yelp
OMG. the crab cheese wontons were the best i've had in a loooong time!!! loooove it!

Yelp
Best Chinese in the Springs! Fresh, fast delivery (at no extra expense!), friendly people! Excellent, extensive options; food is perfectly seasoned-- savory, salty (not overly so), basily, spicy (again, not overly so, decent burn, peppery flavor shines through). Great variety in each dish, too; everything we've received has been just... Loaded. Price is great, too, as are portions! In short, it's decadent comfort food, but it's not greasy, nor gross. I know, it's not health food, nor light, but it's not excessively heavy like a lot of Chinese (which, don't get me wrong, has it's place). Definitely our go-to; highly recommend!

Yelp
Look , cheap delivery and the food is bomb. I think it's as good as I've had no kidding . Kung Paso was great , hot sour soup is perfect , I didn't know what to expect and I don't like nasty Chinese . 5 star because it's very affordable and good .one more thing , I'm sure these folks work hard and it pisses me off to see reviews that are just plain stupid . If you eat this food and think it's 2 star or "worst ever " you're suspect

Yelp
Our waitress was wonderful: responsive, kind, and alert. Food came out quickly and was nice and hot. It was platted nicely and huge portions. However, the ratio of meat to vegetables was way off! Also the meat was cut so thin and small it was hard to savor! The Hunan beef was way over breaded. A tiny piece of meat in a huge chunk of bread! Why do people cook like this? The flavor was pretty bland. Had to get hot mustard to spice it up. Besides being disappointed in the food, I have to say I loved the quiet environment and beautiful table setting with white tablecloth. All in all, it was ok but probably won't go back.

Julie M.

Yelp
Really love the Mongolian beef and wonton soup! I've dined in and had delivery, and I felt it was equally good both times. Great service too!

Jason S.

Yelp
Is good usually, service is fine as well but isn't always consistent. Nothing special I guess but still curbs the craving so gets the job done.
google avatar

Anessa S.

Yelp
I picked up the lunch special sesame chicken, and all I can say is that you get what you pay for. The egg drop soup was not very good at all. The egg roll was super soggy. The sesame chicken's sauce was very strange and there were a bunch of noodles stuck to the bottom of it. I'm not sure if they serve every dish with a bunch of random noodles on it but it wasn't very enjoyable. The best part of the meal was the fried rice which is sad. $11 though so I guess you can't expect very much. I'd definitely recommend Jasmine Cafe or Ivys Chinese Cafe instead.

L W.

Yelp
In town visiting and decided to order delivery. I was super impressed at the lightening speed of the delivery which is what got them the 5. My order was not complete and after a quick call and a few minutes of wait time I had my missing order of Sesame Chicken and a bonus soup for the trouble which is another reason for the 5 star. They made a mistake and quickly corrected it. I like that kind of customer service. The food was typical Chinese. I thought the Sesame Chicken had a good flavor and was a healthy portion. I did taste the beef broccoli and the chicken lo mein and both were good but not what I normally eat. I'd order from them again. They've earned my business on customer service and a good meal at a reasonable price.

Yelp
We need to compliment someone each day. Although I've reviewed New China Kitchen II earlier, they deserve special THANKS for treating us well on Christmas Eve. Ordered several trays for medium sized family gathering, with the intention of having left overs for each. 1. The quantity was perfect. 2. Everyone complimented the quality as being the best yet. And as a regular customer, I agree, and glad the family accepted my recommendation. 3. While price should not be a consideration for holiday parties, the total price for all we received was better than any other restaurant would have offered. 4. Special compliments to Josh, Madam owner (apologize for forgetting her name), and The Big Guy who always brings out the food from the kitchen. 5. Perhaps the only place where egg rolls are true egg rolls, not spring rolls! Thanks again, Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.

Yelp
We met with friends here because they enjoy the food and you, my fellow Yelpers, gave it 3.5. Not sure why. They are located right off the street in a strip mall of sorts. Pros: Easy to find as the sign is facing the street. So no need to drive into the strip mall. I ordered the beef pad thai which was pretty good. Good large slices of onion. And that was it. Cons: Our server didn't bother with us. We had a service dog with us and it was like she was terrified of the dog. Even though the dog was lying under the table. Service was extremely poor. We all had finished drinks and didn't get a refill at all. My husband said his shrimp lo mein tasted like it sat out past closing time then thrown together with other unidentifiable ingredients. Recommended? Nope. I would stay away from here at all costs. We will not be back for a second update. And a tip for the restaurant: you will have people come in with service dogs of all types, you need to train your staff to not ignore tables if someone has one. This is how you lose customers real fast.

Yelp
Love them foood alway good and they alway friendly just started coming here few months ago but my favorite

Yelp
My family has been going to this restaurant for years now, and can't say that we've ever been disappointed with the food. They have a really good variety on their menu and will have it ready within minutes of your order. We have never dined in, but take-out has always been great for us.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a simple order. Just a few aps. Bbq spare ribs, tough rubber, and under cooked (obvs). Couldn't notice it was Bbq ribs at all. Beef on skewer just ok. Proximity made this tonights option. Fast take out, quick online order. No problems there. Menu is huge HUGE! Decision paralysis easily overcame me.

Yelp
Worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. The food came out way too quick and did not taste fresh at all! Low quality, over priced, and dirty looking inside. The people were really nice but the food made me feel sick afterwards. We will never go back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Sesame chicken: 8/10 Mongolian beef: 8/10 Double cooked pork: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Restaurant review: 8/10 #Consistency

Brianna N.

Yelp
I ordered sesame chicken and egg rolls and it was really good! Sesame chicken is in a lighter sauce with a thin crispy breading. The egg rolls are veg and pork filled. Super good!
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
What I like about New China Kitchen II is that you get exactly what you expect and I've never been disappointed. The Sesame Chicken, Combo Lo-Mein, Mongolian Beef, etc. are spot on to the American standard of "Chinese food." The Hot and Sour and Egg Drop soups are just right. More than that, the manager is always friendly and prompt and the prices are very good for the quality. I judge my Chinese food by the expectation and the price. I wouldn't compare a banquet style restaurant with live market fish in tanks ready for the choosing and catering to a mostly Asian immigrant crowd where the English menu is the exception to a Take-out/Lunch style place located in a mostly suburban white neighborhood. Or a Dim Sum place in a coastal China Town with an "all you can eat" or "by the scoop" place in the Midwest. This place is the easy choice for lunch with mom or when you just want some good Chinese food. It's not pretentious and has great prices.

Yelp
DO ME A FAVOR AND CONSIDER SOME OTHER PLACE. I'm Asian, I have lived in China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. My grandma is Chinese. I am not expecting to find anything decent in the United States. I am from MA. I have lived here eating American Chinese food. So don't tell me that I shouldnt be expecting real Chinese food in the United States. I know the difference in Chinese food from many different cities, including NYC, SF, LA, SD, Baltimore, Boston, Nashville and even New Orleans (yeah why would you order Chinese in NOLA? Well I hate okra and sausage and cajun spice as well as bottom feeder fish called cat fish). Yep, I get it. And here it is, as a full blown American eating American Chinese food. It was totally disgusting. Sure I didn't order the typical. I ordered lemon chicken online, simply because Jasmine Cafe is closed. It took an hour. I put the tip online yet the receipt didn't have the tip reflected. I didn't even want to tip the guy but since it was snowing pretty bad, I decided to. Lemon chicken...never heard of it. I opened up the bag. It has a tub of lemon sauce which I thought was a soup. With that price, from Jasmine Cafe, I would have gotten delicious Chinese food, rice, egg rolls, and a thing of soup of my choice. But no, it was a tub of lemon sauce. I get it. Then there was a greasy bag of cheese wonton. Couldn't put it in a box? I guess not. Chicken was horrible. Dry, and the batter was coming off of chicken. Seriously? I could make it better. Oh, and I found out that the paper I put outside of my door saying no soliciting has been torn off after the delivery was made. Maybe the deliver guy was upset at a small amount of tip. Well if I were him, I would talk to the chef for one, making a horrible food, and two taking forever to get it out for him to deliver. Either way, regardless of how horrible he felt about the tip (it is called a tip after all, I am not OBLIGATED to give him any money), then well he could've talked to me, and I would have explained. Instead, he chose to be immature about it. I WOULD NEVER ORDER FROM THEM. EVER AGAIN. AND YOU SHOULD NOT, EITHER.

Yelp
We have ordered from this place for 14 years. I would say that was a loyal customer. Monday I found a hard and sharp piece of plastic in our food as big as a penny, which made me feel uneasy to eat the other stuff we ordered. Called them today and due to their lack of "making it right". We will no longer be back. Customer service is lacking.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
I just had a delicious combination wonton soup that I rate the very best in town! We are also a big fan of the red velvet combination, and fan tail shrimp as a side ,give it a try sometime.
google avatar

Kay H.

Yelp
I'm viisiting from out of state and my family took me to this Chinese restaurant for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was not only delicious, but was generous portions and came with soup, egg roll and rice. Lunch menu ranges from $5.75 to $6.95 for some shrimp dishes. We each had different entrees and everyone was happy with their meal and most of us took food home. Dinner entrees offer an even larger selection and range in price from $8.25 - $11.75 (shrimp) - typical price $8.95-$9.95. I plan to return for at least one more meal before I go back to California!
google avatar

Ian K.

Yelp
Thank God I found this place. Extremely good prices, friendly staff, and they deliver? The only question will be how many times a month I order from this place. Oh and did I mention fast delivery? As for the food, it is extremely good. The wonton soup and General Tao's Chicken are pretty delicious. If you have the time, go in for a lunch special during the week. It will fill you up for under 10 bucks.

Yelp
First off, I don't think New China Kitchen #1 exists. This place is yet another sad, carbon-copy of the seemingly large number of Americanized sub-par Chinese restaurants in Colorado Springs. With all the Chinese places in town, you'd think there would be one or two that could noticeably set themselves apart from the crowd, and deliver good, honest Chinese food that one finds abundantly on the West Coast, but alas, that is not the case in our fair city. (If we had a decent Asian minority population, then things would be different.) The place is pretty average, but clean and comfortable. I thought the service was very good, and the owner who waited on me was extremely polite. The menu is exactly what you'd think and expect - no house specialties here, and the entrees are all pretty boring, and as I have said in other Chinese reviews, I can cook this stuff at home so much better, and with more authentic and interesting ingredients, and a much better stir fry sauce. The price was right and the quantity was impressive, if those things are important to you.

Yelp
Tried NCK2 again after a number of years of not eating there. I was pleasantly surprised and met my expectations for American-style Chinese food. We got the Gen Tao chicken Sesame Beef both of which were tasty and didn't have any weird flavors. The crabmeat wontons were a little under done but much better than being over done. We'll eat there again.
google avatar

Cobra K.

Yelp
Good chinese delivery place that'll deliver all the way to Powers. Good Sha Cha Beef, Chicken Cashews, Creamcheese Wontons, etc. Delivery takes about 45 minutes though.
google avatar

Meghan F.

Yelp
Not good. Delivery was fast and prompt. Chicken was soggy and apps (pork wontons and pan fried dumplings) had minimal taste. We did not order any seafood but each of our dishes tasted like seafood. The General Taos chicken we got was so fishy that I could not take a second bite. The only highlight was the fact that my fortune cookie included a great fortune.
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
This was awful. We ordered in, and the food was nearly inedible. The chicken lo mein was impossibly greasy and only flavored with salt. The shrimp with vegetables had a strong fishy/bad smell and I found several that were not de-veined. I did not eat it for fear of getting sick. The teriyaki chicken skewers were swimming in a watery sauce and not at all appetizing. The chicken with broccoli was the only half-way edible part of the order, but the sauce was white instead of brown so it was also disappointing. Overall a total waste of $50.

Yelp
Update. My new favorite dishes are anything lo mein or drunken noodle. Soooo good. By far the best Chinese food in town
