"By now, many people have high expectations of any restaurant praised for being a standout among the red-sauce canon. ... Over its 84 years of existence, Colandrea New Corner served hundreds of thousands of customers, hosted thousands of events, and employed thousands of people, according to Vincent Colandrea, the grandson of the restaurant’s founders and most recent owner of the establishment." - Eater Staff

This place has been around since the 1930s, so they must be doing something right. The food is delicious classic Italian fare, with recipes that are very authentic for the most part. The cocktails are also from a different age, but all sort tasty blasts from the past. Even the ambiance seems stuck in time, in a most positive way. The service is also excellent, most notably for the fact that they let you take your time and don't rush you to finish your meal. It's a bit pricey, but definitely a great choice for my grandma's annual birthday lobster dinner!

A Brooklyn institution since I was a kid. Always a good real Italian meal. Service is always good and the portions are large. The day we went, the dining room was on the chilly side.

I usually don't like giving bad reviews especially with my favorite food (Italian) but this place was old looking, the service was ok and so was the food not my favorite place

Great location for italian in the neighborhood. Old school recipes done right at a respectable price. Almost a lost art, try this place and be surprised and delighted.

We attended a baby shower here, so we ordered off a prix fixe menu. The stuffed shells were ok. Ordered the chicken piccata for my main entree, and I left feeling satisfied. Old school italian decor inside. Attentive staff.
