This laid-back spot offers delicious Chinese fast food classics like lo mein and lemon chicken, plus hearty takeout options that keep locals coming back for more.
"If you’re looking for dishes like beef with black bean sauce and fried dumplings near Gravesend, New Li Hing is open for takeout every day. Just know they’re only offering pick-up service right now, and you can place your order on their website." - hannah albertine, bryan kim
"Of the 15 or so Chinese and mainly Cantonese restaurants along Avenue U in Homecrest, this is one of the few still open, “for takeout, not delivery” as a staffer told us over the phone. Luckily, it’s one of the best of the group, with lots of fried stuff on the menu (like a breaded and fried pork chop with pork fried rice and fried shrimp with french fries). Also featured are many of the colorful special combinations that Chinese-American fare has become famous for, like dragon and phoenix (chicken on one side, shrimp on the other) and happy family (lobster, beef, chicken, shrimp, and pork). Order online." - Robert Sietsema, Eater Staff
