We stopped at the New Orleans Social House after eating elsewhere, but we have had the food at Tommy’s who operates the kitchen and it is very good. The service was good and polite and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. A nicely decorated place with good music, not too loud or too low. An enjoyable spot to have drinks with friends.

Great experience for sure! The bartender ladies were attentive, friendly and efficient. The drinks were great and the food was decent tasting. It is such a cute spacious place with adequate seating. There are some cute couches and chairs placed throughout the establishment. The bar, island and middle floor standing seats presentation is appealing to the eye. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Came here for the happy hour - and the cocktails, food, and especially the service were all great! The bartenders and staff were super nice and attentive. We tried lots of the small plates (including $2 tacos on Thursday), raw oysters were on point, and the French 75 was excellent. For the price, can’t beat it!

Google
The bar/restaurant is a whole vibe. The crowd is great. I love the idea of seating yourself. You do have to go to the bar and order your drinks and food and then they give you a number. When finish they will bring your food to the table. You do have to pay for everything at the bar which I don't mind at all. The vibe was middle to upper class when I went. So dress nice and come on out and enjoy yourself. The sliders were great, and let me tell you about this Cajun popcorn. Please go and visit.

Went for happy hour with $6 cocktails. Nice vibes with multiple instragram/photos spots. The debries fries were delicious!

Google
Very relaxing, ambient atmosphere, good service, and awesome food! This is a good place for smaller bites. Great drink menu and wine selection! I really enjoyed hanging out and unwinding here after a long and hot summer day working. It is a bit pricey! The beet salad is GREAT, as is the chocolate mousse dessert (but it's incredibly rich)! The lobster tacos were good, but there wasn't much to them, they're TINY, and they aren't really worth the price.

Google
I love NOSH; I work close-by and am so happy to have this place in the Arts District! I always recommend it to friends when we are looking for place to meet up, and it never disappoints. Awesome happy hour with $.50 oysters, and the best taco night on Thursdays.

Google
Great place to link up with neighborhood locals to catch a football game and bar food. The wine was priced right having half off on all bottles. Also, the Social house has the same menu next door if you are wanting Italian food, you just need to ask. The bartender was very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to NOSH but I've always enjoyed myself here. The ambiance is cool, modern and romantic with low colorful lighting. I appreciate that their is ample seating even when it gets busy it's usually comfortable. They used to have an amazing deal on Fridays where you could buy a whole bottle of wine or bubbles for $20. I'm not sure if they still have that special but I should go and find out soon!

Yelp
This place is very cute inside. There are pros and cons. Pros: great photo op setup for you and your friends to clown around with nice ambiance the chicken sliders were really tasty Cons: the drinks are just meh but they're as expensive as anywhere else the service is exceedingly slow. the kitchen takes forever even when they aren't very busy. It took them a long time just to open a bottle of wine and get us some glasses.

Yelp
After finding 2 bars with no seating for 6 we stopped here and found the place virtually empty. That should have set off warning bells but we were hot and wanted a few cocktails. A few of us went to the bar to order our drinks and the waitress only took the orders of 2 of the 3 of us despite it being obvious we were all together. It took at least 15 minutes to make 3 identical old fashioneds and one boulevardier. The bartender had tried to warn me off the boulevardier saying it was super bitter. I had told her that I enjoyed them, but what was given to me was not a boulevardier. It was sweet and strange tasting. After choking down the terrible cocktail we moved to a better location.

Yelp
Service was the fastest I have seen and very sociable! Food was great! The atmosphere is great!

Amy R.

Yelp
Waited 45 minutes for a cocktail and a $16 cup of gumbo in a half empty bar. On a Wednesday night! The only way I was served was when I literally went to the bar and asked where my food was. I feel like there are easier (better?) places to grab a drink and a quick bite. They get 2 * bc the decor and music was fun, and the employees polite, if neglectful.

Yelp
Terri and Ben were absolutely amazing! They were so nice and made such good drinks. I'll definitely be back for more! THEY GAVE US SUCH A GREAT TIME!

Yelp
Great ambience not too loud Happy hour last until like 9 PM in the weekdays Service and the food was amazing a little pricey for the portions , but that can be expected

Yelp
During a recent business trip, a few colleagues of mine decided to hold a meet and greet at New Orleans Social House. What a fantastic idea. Our meet and greet was scheduled during happy hour so we enjoyed reduced pricing on beverages. I ordered the HH fortified ginger which was so good that I ordered another as soon as I finished the first. I, also, ordered the chicken sliders with a side of garlic fries. The chicken sliders were huge. I was pleasantly surprised by their size. The garlic fries were simply sublime and a delicious addition to my sliders. I had never heard of New Orleans Social House prior to being notified of our plans but was pleasantly surprised (and truly delighted) to enjoy great drinks with terrific food at a quality social event with colleagues.

Yelp
So I was in New Orleans about a week ago for an author event and the host of the event had a meet and greet at this establishment. The inside of the bar/restaurant was nice, it was welcoming. Didn't have much interaction with the staff other than the bartender, she was cool. Didn't order any fancy drinks or anything so nothing to say on that front, but the food that was provided for the event looked good. I tried a chicken slider and the chicken was good but the bun was really good, it was buttery and warm. I enjoyed my experience there and would go again to maybe see what their happy hour is like or mingle with the locals.

Yelp
This bartender was very nasty. Her attitude is horrible. It was fairly empty except for a few ppl at the bar, and she was very curt and sharp whenever asked anything. I asked her for my drink three times and she made my friends drink wrong. When my friend took it back to her, she yelled and insisted that I didn't order it correctly. She was arguing with other patrons as well. This establishment should NOT employ such a rude person. I would have rated higher, but this bar tender really brought down the mood. Take your money elsewhere.

Yelp
Nice vibes every time I come here. Love the ambiance and the selfie machine makes the whole experience that much better!

Yelp
This place is super cute! Truly a vibe. We went around 6 pm on a weekday. There was hardly anyone there when we got there which is right up my alley lol. The seating is cute but still comfortable. The bartender made great drinks but I must say the service was very slow. We ended up leaving once the crowd picked up for this very reason. It was just tooooo slow. But the popcorn and fries were VERY good. Also tried the eggplant pizza which was tasty as well. I'm still giving 4 stars because I'm going to just believe that the slow bar service was a fluke and they are normally faster...I'll go with that . Definitely visit here!

Yelp
Wow. This place is a must have stop on your list. Ben and Terri are our must have bartenders. The mules, the dirty martinis, everything are fabulous. Will come back every Saturday just to see them.

Yelp
Visited while in town to watch some hoops and have a drink - service was solid very inviting atmosphere a great place to relax with friends or just hang out. Had the sliders and garlic fries, must say they hit the spot when you're hungry but not really. Drinks made well at the bar - Definitely visit if you're staying near and in town or you're a local and looking for a place with friends

Yelp
Chill vibes and ambiance but the bartenders make terrible drinks. We had a large group stop in for a wedding and the two bartenders were completely overwhelmed making even the simplest drinks and opening beers for the group. Eventually they simply told us they couldn't make us any more drinks because we were ordering too many. What? The bar wasn't even crowded. At one point one of the bartenders suggested the elderly parents in our group move all the way to the other side of the bar to get drinks because she was overwhelmed by the customers on her side - no more than 8 people mind you. Just absurd. After two rounds we took our business elsewhere but I feel compelled to leave a review because in all my years of bar hopping across the country I've never witnessed such incompetence.

Yelp
It was a chill little spot for a Saturday night the fact that it closes at 1am was a bonus, drinks were good and even the staff was nice. I haven't been in this area in a min and I was like where is Tommy's cuisine I thought it was on the corner and it is still there it is just next door. Just watch where u park at u probably will have to walk about a block or 2. Them tow trucks are serious on a Saturday night!!

Yelp
The decor and esthetic were my favorite part of this place. I wish I would've known that it was more of a bar bite spot. A friend and I decided to grab food here after our conference only to find out that the menu online was no longer their menu. Although the food and service were great, wish they had their old menu.

Yelp
Great place for drinks. The bartender is very knowledgeable and friendly. Ambiance is fabulous- a great place to grab drinks with friends. Photo op with the tub in the corner. Yes, grab a drink here.

Yelp
I loved this place!!! The vibes are great. I loved the music. Gigi and Nay were wonderful and super nice. These ladies were accommodating and friendly. Thank you guys for having us. I'll be back soon

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE! SO SLOW during happy hour AND food came out ice cold. DISAPPOINTED. Came here two nights in a row service was the same, slow and disappointing. 30 minute wait for an ice cold pizza and 20 minute wait for two ingredient drinks. On top of that bartender gave me attitude when I asked why it was taking so long. She told me that she needed to go grab the booze from across the street but yet, other people who came after me were receiving the same drink drinks I ordered. Additionally, it's clear management does not exist here. No one was checking up on us the whole time. Never again (as they say if I could give zero stars I would)

Yelp
Ended up here for some pre-dinner cocktails on a Thursday. Not going to lie, I expected more of a vibe/atmosphere based on the pictures and reviews. Being from out of town, I'll admit I dont know the neighborhoods or what nights tend to bring out more people but this place was DEAD. Walked in and there were about 4 people at the bar and they all turned around to stare at us as we came through the doors. The space is HUGE so for there to only be 4 people in there it just felt off. The bartender was friendly and it was happy hour so we got a good deal on the drinks. I got the boulevardier off of their cocktail menu. It was decent but a bit too sweet. My buddy got a negroni and it was much of the same, good enough but too much on the sweet side. It reminded me of a bar you go to in college when you want cheap drinks and dont care about much else other than that. Hoping they can draw in more people and make the best use of all this space.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday night. There was only one bartender and it took a while for her to take our order and make the drinks. I ordered a cocktail, can't recall the name but it wasn't good. The ambiance is actually nice. They were playing hip hop music which was great for a change. This place definitely gave lounge vibes. It was a Sunday and New Year's Day so maybe that's why it was kind of empty. I would go back and order something basic and chill.

Yelp
Absolutely zero shame in this #ThankyouThursday post. This place is admittedly only a few blocks from my apartment, so convenience factor slightly biases me, but it has been such a consistent go-to for the entire 3.5 years I have lived in the city. Smartly designed/decorated, its chic and has a fun low lit evening atmosphere with cozy couch nooks to hang with a group of friends. The drinks are consistently delicious and made with care. The food, while a sparse menu, is always super tasty. Their happy hour is bomb and goes until 8! And they also have been doing half price wine for several kk this now. And did I mention their servers/bartenders are all great?! All in all, probably our most visited and one of our favorite places to go in New Orleans. Great for happy hour, date night, snacks and drinks, or a night cap!

Yelp
Service is pretty good. Sometimes the bartender is overworked pretty good happy hour could a bigger selection for happy hour but altogether pretty good but the parking sucks

Yelp
Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 3/5 I've been to several Social Houses, in Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, etc., so I had an idea of what to expect here. I was very impressed with how beautiful the inside is. It's an upscale bar/lounge, which is much nicer than the other ones I've been to. It also has a very intimate atmosphere with dim lights and the music is very good! The food however, wasn't what I hoped for. For starters, the menu here is a lot smaller. We ordered the chargrilled oysters and burger sliders. The oysters had a lot of Parmesan that tried to mask the lack of seasoning. The bun and meat of the burger sliders were cold, which really threw us off. The fries were the best part. They do have a unique twist with the drink happy hour, and the day we came they offered champagne starting at $4

Yelp
A co-worker friend and I stopped here for a drink yesterday, we were going to an industry party in the area and had about an hour to kill. I forget what I got but it was some sort of vodka drink and it was very good. Prices are very reasonable as well, I believe it was $9. We sat at the bar and the bartenderess was very attentive, too. It was pretty empty at 8 p.m. on a Tuesday night, I'm not sure if it gets busier on the weekends or if that's usually the vibe. My friend got the same drink as me and then also got a Pimm's cup, which was very good. I'd come here again when in the area, they had a small bar snacks menu as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute vibe! The drinks were good and they have great specials. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken they could have freshly fried it

Adam X.

Yelp
The drinks are ok. But unless you're the hottest thing in this house, expect to be ignored and don't run a tab. I waited a good ten minutes to cash out and had to demand my card back.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here for happy hour. So let me talk about Tacos- They are SMALL! Appetizer Serious! So, the carnitas taco was OK. Not over the top exciting. It came with no hot sauce or anything. I am a bit nervous but you only live once. Also I hate cilantro I just discovered that so two of the tacos I don't care for because of it.the gulf fish taco is nice. The batter is fried nice along with the spicy mayo and avocado combination. I did not care for the Shrimp due to the pineapple and cilantro combo. It made me a Lil queazy. I also in this time decided to try the twisted smile cocktail which is very refreshing. Its grapefruit, champagne and tequila. Very refreshing. The Barbacoa is really good. I think its my fave out the four selections they offer. The Cajuns Cracklings was nice!!!

Yelp
When searching for an Oyster Happy Hour on New Year's Eve, I was having major struggles. But luckily, I stumbled upon NOSH and read great reviews about the location and service and figured, "Why not?"   I navigated to this spot after being dropped off by the streetcar a few blocks away, and I truly thought I was lost.  Tucked far into some dark and seemingly winding roads from where I was dropped off, I was so happy when I finally came across the dimly lit restaurant that beckoned me in from the chilly NOLA evening.  Upon entry, I was taken aback by the beauty of the dim restaurant, and in love with the bushels of balloons that floated above me and lined every corner of the ceiling.  What a place to celebrate 2019!  A solo diner, I chose a little bistro table near the window and got comfortable.  I believe the staff thought I was waiting for one more so it took a little minute to get a waitress but when I did, she was splendid and attentive, but not hovering which is a quality that means everything to me when eating out. Because there was no line as I expected of a hip spot like NOSH, I started off with a Lavender de Creme Champagne while reviewing the menu despite already knowing what I came there for.  This drink was absolutely gorgeous with its violet hues paired with the fizzy bubbles I love in Champagne.  Although tasty, it was a bit sweeter than expected. For dinner, I stuck to my guns and ordered the Raw Louisiana Oysters that were going for $.50 on Happy Hour. Now, did I need TWO dozen for my 115lb. self? Probably not.  But I ate almost 20 of them and I wanted to be airlifted to the streetcar. But man, they were HUGE oysters!  Prepped over ice with the usual horseradish, crackers and cocktail sauce, I'm sure the waitress judged me all night but I regret nothing. Paired with the beautiful, calm location, this meal cost me less than $23 with tip and helped me ring in the New Year with class. ;-)

Yelp
I'm very surprised at some of the ratings for NOSH. This place is a hidden gem that gives you so much bang for your buck. I love love love the concept. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Very comfy seating. Overall a very relaxed vibe. I went with my best friend on a Caliente night (Thursday). We had tacos, oysters, poke, shrimp eggrolls and probably some other stuff that I'm missing. It was all super delicious and very shareable. I was extremely impressed with the oysters, and the eggrolls. They were done excellently. The cocktails we had were great (special shoutout for the jalapeno strawberry margarita - just the right amount of spice!). The servers were friendly and conversational and didn't yell at us for relaxing outside in their chairs before they opened. (THANK YOU) Great place - even though we had small plates, we were full by the time we left. There's so much deliciousness to try! 5 Stars - great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food!
google avatar

Yelp
I have no idea why this place doesn't have better reviews. I came in with a friend for the Thursday Caliente Night and sat at the bar. We ordered gulf fish tacos and shrimp tacos. They were excellent and served in super crispy shells like wonton shells. I got a strawberry jalapeno margarita (or two, or three...) to drink, which were so freaking good! I would come back here in a heartbeat. The vibe was relaxed, the staff was friendly, we weren't rushed, and the food was delicious.

Yelp
This bar is by far the best I have been to in New Orleans since I have been coming to visit. The crowd was great and the atmosphere was even better. I love the fact that you have to order your food and drinks from the bar. They then give you a number and they bring you your food. You pay everything in advance unless you open a tab. Please go by and check this please out immediately. The vibe of people when I went was middle to upper class. So please put on something nice and go have a great time. Yea you can wear sneakers and T-shirts as well, but this is a place you want to get nice and show out.
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Post-quarantine visit was delightful! No reservations- great atmosphere and service. The HH drink prices are unbeatable and right now they're doing BOGO appetizers, mix and match any of them! We had the pepperoni pizza, debris fries, meatballs, and chicken sliders. So hungry I forgot food pics but the portions were appropriate, food was delicious and hot, and all came out at the same time, which I didn't expect. Such a cute place. Definitely pop in if you're in the CBD
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely loved it here. The vibe of the place was everything. It was very chill. You can come here dressed up or dressed down and you wouldn't feel out of place. The drinks were great also. I will be back

Yelp
Visited November 21, 2020. Let me start off by saying that the place is cute for a girls night out....BUT....keep reading. There's menus and a sign as soon as you walk in that says "grab a menu and seat yourself," which we did. Tables are social distance which is great during Covid. We had a party of 5 so we found a high top table directly in the middle of the restaurant to accommodate us. While waiting for a sever, we decided to take pictures by the pink bathtub and neon sign. After about 20 mins of snapping pics , we were still waiting on a server to take our orders until we stopped a lady that worked there and asked for assistance. She advised us that we had to order at the bar. A sign or prior notice would've been helpful but it was fine. The menu was very limited. Almost everyone order the spicy chicken sliders. Some food came out cold, the sliders were naked...no aioli or anything. We asked for a side of aioli and it took forever so we ate the food without it to avoid the food being cold. They eventually brung hot fries to my friend that had cold food in the first place. Slow service, cold food, cute environment, Covid friendly but I would not return.

Dave S.

Yelp
We came through for happy hour, and figured we would get some food, too. The reviews stating that the atmosphere is good are correct - the vibe in here really is nice, and the bar area is cozy and welcoming. Our bartenders were friendly and took good care of us. We grabbed two drinks each, the happy hour drink prices are right and the drinks are made well. We saw some of the food coming out, and it didn't seem too appealing, honestly. We ordered the eggplant pizza to snack on, and it was not great. We went elsewhere for some better food after we finished our drinks. I'd definitely come here for drinks, but I'd skip the food, personally. Treat this as a "bar review".

Yelp
Affectionately known as NOSH for many, this place became a fast favorite for me and my friends. The bartenders are skilled and the drinks are A-1. I love the decor inside, it's great for some really cute Instagrammable moments. Perfect for a chill get together with some friends on a Friday or Saturday night, or even after work drinks. The vibes are kind of upscale, but still very relaxed and the music matches so you're in for a good time whether you're getting cute to go out or just want a casual hang. They have some light bites for if you're feeling peckish and some pretty sweet daily and happy hour specials ($4 bubbles by the glass on Fridays, $5 mules on Saturdays, happy hour 5pm-8pm Wed-Mon, etc). It's neighbors with Italian Restaurant, Tommy's, so you can also grab dinner and then pop over for drinks or vice versa.

Yelp
The spot is very cozy place to visit. But the service is horrible. Bar attendants are not attentive, didn't care about serving and totally not friendly or welcoming. I wanted to order food but the bar attendants only wanted me to pay for my drink and never offered me food. Once I asked if I could order food before cashing out I got an attitude. Why spend any more money!?!? Nope!!!

Stephanie R.

Yelp
The ambiance was really nice! Our bartender Gigi was very Knowledgeable and beyond sweet. Definitely recommend when in the garden district.

Yelp
We stopped at Nosh after a night of parades and the place was awesome! Immediately you connect with the staff; the music is just right and enjoyable; the seating along with the decor is attractive and suitable.. The food above all with the drinks were tasty. The manager Jeff welcomes all guests and consistently walking around checking on his guests.

Yelp
Stellar review coming.....brace yourselves!! I wanted to try somewhere different. I have been wanted to check this new hip spot out for a while. I heard the chef uses to work at a renowned restaurant and had to try. Social House is what it's called! The social/happy hour is 4-7. We got there in the nick of time. It was after work and close to 6p. We were hungry but not too hungry. Decided on the oysters from Louisiana, Asia and West Coast. Faves were the asian oysters. Suckers were almost $3 per oyster. La oysters were .75 ech. I didn't like the way the waitress skipped the social menu tho! I give her the benefit of the doubt, the spot is only 3 weeks into existence. The wines were on time and like half off during social hour. Everyone was extremely nice and it was very empty on that rainy Monday evening. The lobster tacos were GREAT. They send out 3. It's a light bite. For dessert try the chocolate thingy ...sooooo goooooood!!! We really enjoyed.

Yelp
I haven't been here since it changed from Tommy's but I was pleasantly surprised! I dropped in during essence fest and it's always refreshing to find a business that is actually open during essence fest and not "closed for renovations" but that's a whole different story. The vibe here is really cute! There's happy hour DAILY (including weekends) which is awesome. There's a daily nosh for 5 dollars and it turned out to be buffalo wings so my friend and I ordered some and also the daily flatbread and a few drinks! The French 75 was 5 dollars and was made really well. I'd definitely come back and according to the menu they have different nights with different specials which sounds like a good time.

Lori B.

Yelp
Terrible service, food was awful and who would ever think you would have terrible food in New Orleans! Do not order the popcorn unless you enjoy microwave popcorn with half a bag of un-popped kernels and some Cajun spice thrown on...what a waste! The bartender was such an a-hole, if it weren't for the fact that this was such a convenient location, I would have just walked out. It's a great looking place, just too bad they have such poor attitudes and zero customer service along with a terrible food menu. So, there's the one star review!
google avatar

Andria G.

Yelp
In the heart of the Art and Warehouse District this place should be a hip, fun spot. It was anything but that. Tables were dirty and grimy. Decor was poor and ambiance was very loud. Menu for food was limited. Even so two items were not available when we were there. The flatbread and tacos we ordered were little more than adequate. Service was very slow. Though the place was slightly busy for a Saturday, it took a very long time to get a menu and our food. However once we finished we were basically rushed out the door. It was fine to be rushed because I could not wait to leave! I am shocked to see other reviews rate this place so highly. The place needs a thorough cleaning, a revamped menu and better service.

Yelp
I was here for a birthday party on a Friday evening WITH the bubbles happy hour drinks! I had the Wycliff (too sweet for me) and the Charles Roux (weirdly heavy) but you can't go wrong with the Ruffino Prosecco. At some point I switched to the HH Mule's which were tasty and not too tart. The birthday girl had reserved space for her gathering and I was able to sample some of the cheese from the cheese & charcuterie bar. Tasty. And I ordered a bianca flatbread which was good but a bit bland. I didn't get much roasted garlic at all. The space is large with plenty of bar seats. They were jumping on a random Friday night in November. Definitely will be back for HH pricing and bites.

Yelp
I've been coming to NOSH for a few years now and it has never disappointed. From a good happy hour to good bar food you can't go wrong! They also have tvs above the bar so you can come and watch sports. Their sliders and fries are my favorite things on the menu. They also have champagne and wine specials on Friday that you can't beat. It can be busy at times but typically you can walk in and find a seat.

Yelp
Everything was really tasty. The menu may look simple but the quality and taste was top notch. Thank you!

Yelp
Drinks were good. Decor was really nice. Food was horrible. If this place was advertised as a bar, I'd be easier with the review, but it's advertised in Yelp as a tapas place and a bar. So I'll judge it on its food as well. I had the pretzel (not had) and spicy chicken sliders. The sliders were like Dino nuggets on a bad Hawaiian bun. My friends had pizza and said it was school cafeteria pizza. Don't advertise as a food place and I'll change my review to three four stars if I'm judging just on bar setting and drinks.
