"As the name suggests, it is the state of Punjab in India’s northwest that provides the inspiration behind the menu here. As this state also borders Pakistan you can expect specialities from that country too. Dishes from the tandoor feature prominently, including a delicious goat seekh kebab; also try the keema pau made with mutton and, of course, their signature is butter chicken or ‘Mughal Room Makhani’, along with laccha paratha. The retro, colonial feel of the room is juxtaposed with some striking contemporary artwork." - Michelin Inspector

The space here was smaller than I anticipated, but it had a cosy atmosphere that made for a delightful experience. The vibe was great, with an inviting ambiance that encouraged us to relax and enjoy our meal. The service was outstanding; the staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. We enjoyed most of the food, which was flavourful and well-prepared. There were a few dishes that particularly stood out, with great presentation. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning for another visit.

A truly inspired meal. Nothing like the popular Indian food normally served in most restaurants. Wonderfully unique yet not overwhelming flavors. Would come back again. Highly recommended!

I had a dinner at New Punjab Club with my Friends. Food was very good after the long time I really enjoyed Indian food in Hong Kong. Making tandoori food without artificial colors. All natural ingredients and full of flavors. Service standard of waiters was very high. Mr. Jun was take care of our table, he have full information about food and ingredients. Much appreciated. Must go there…

It was our first time here, and we came for the Black Sheep Special Series. The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly, generous, and attentive. We loved how rich in mango flavor the mango lassi was. The mutton kebab, butter Naan, lobster, and samosa chat were some of our favourites. It was the perfect amount of spices for us, and everything was so nicely presented. Even though we were stuffed, we still added the banana sticky toffee pudding at the end, and it most certainly did not disappoint. Highly recommend this place and we hope to visit again one day.

Google
New Punjab Club in Hong Kong is definitely on the pricier side, but every bite justifies it - especially the lacha parantha, which was absolutely out of this world! The flavors, presentation, and ambiance come together for a fine dining experience that truly celebrates Punjabi cuisine. If you’re looking to indulge in bold, authentic flavors with a touch of elegance, this place is a must-visit.

Google
Excellent food - our first ever Michelin starred experience and it sure did not disappoint. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. They explained what things we ordered, the history of the restaurant/owner and also have really good recommendations for things to do / places to visit in Hong Kong. Cherry on top was the Polaroid image they took of us and it was a great memory from our honeymoon! Highly recommend. A+++

Excellent service….big shout out to Brien and Nagma (if I remember the name correctly) for their excellent service. Polite, friendly and professional. Thank you Brien for the peanut chaat and samosa :) Food tasted very good. Baigan bharta specially had an awesome taste. Portion size is reasonable Place is bright, neat & clean and conveniently located. The walls have lovely paintings that make the place look vibrant

Yelp
Amazing food! Good service. The food is quite spicy but it really adds flavor to the food. Best broccoli I've ever had. The shrimp was a little mushy but still delicious packed with flavor. The lamb chops were phenomenal. Packed with flavor and so juicy and enormous. Really love the experience.

Yelp
Food 5.0/5.0 Service 4.0/5.0 Value 2.0/5.0 Decor 3.5/5.0 Overall 5.0/5.0 Really great Punjabi food. Also really pricey. Seems like it's not as busy as it was pre-COVID. I can dream about that lamb chop. I'm very very stingy with the 5*s and I'm having giving this place one of 'em. Will come back.

Yelp
Service was nice but feels a bit forced. Maybe it's the Covid restriction, the seating is a bit weird cus we were seated in a booth next to each other. Because of the seating arrangement, I feel like I'm performing to the crowd. Can't help but feel uncomfortable when the staff is looking at us. I know they wanted to check on us to see if we have any needs but I blame the seating. Enough of that, the food is amazing. Everything is on the oily side but it's not uncommon for Indian food. The mutton dish was my absolute favorite but the other things are not any worse. Overall a great meal but a bit too pricey to my liking.

Yelp
Don't even know where to start. This place was phenomenal in every way. The food, the drinks, the story, the hospitality, the people. Really enjoyed our night here. The lamb shank is an absolute must have. Extremely flavorful, tender, perfectly cooked, and plenty of meat. We chewed it down to the bone and enjoyed every part of it. The samosas were also very good. The combination of tamarind sauce, mint chutney, yogurt and pomegranate on top of these was an explosion of flavor. The lobster on paratha was phenomenal. They poured a lobster stock sauce on top. And there was a small lobster, goat cheese, tomato and cucumber salad on the side that was delicious.

Yelp
My favourite Michelin star restaurant in the city. While I enjoy Indian (or similar) cuisine once a month, it's not necessarily one of my favourites. It's well priced for a Michelin star restaurant and the flavour is spot on. The stars of the night were the Keema Pau appetiser, the Mattar (peas), and the sticky toffee pudding dessert. The peas were probably the best I've ever had. They were perfectly tender with some pop but also soft. The sticky toffee pudding came with popcorn ice cream and salted caramel. We ate it in literally 60 seconds. Before the server returned after dropping off his other plate, we had devoured it and licked the plate. Yelp
First tried their food at the Taste of Hong Kong. They didn't have the Biryani on the menu and is only occasionally on special. The food here is really amazing. The price is not cheap but the quality is high and the portions are quite large. I've seen some people comment the portions are not big but I don't agree. I definitely left their full. For a party of two adults and an infant I had the butter chicken, tandoori fish, smashed samosas, corn salad, tandoori cauliflower, naan, and the toffee cake dessert. I would highly recommend the tandoori fish and the tandoori cauliflower. The toffee dessert was also very good. Not traditional Indian food and more western but it was delicious. Will definitely come back especially if the biryani is on the menu.

Yelp
What an unbelievable experience we had in Hong Kong. I have never In my life experienced such an amazing ambiance, beautiful paintings, great Indian food and heartfelt hospitality. Kudos to the owners who blessed us with such an unforgettable memories. I wish they open something like this in San Francisco.

Yelp
New Punjab Club sure has all the swagger to offer with Punjabi food! I haven't enjoyed an Indian restaurant outside India so much, in a while. Food included! New York City included! I also didn't know it was recently awarded a Michelin star until after dining here. From the service to the food to the whole look and feel, I left with a great taste and after-taste, both in my mouth and my heart! Friends and family know I rarely rave about Indian restaurants, and I have a bias for New York City. Well done New Punjab Club and Black Sheep Restaurants, very well done! Yelp
The food at New Punjab Club was generally pretty good with a side of a little bad. Best dishes: Samosa Chaat and the Tandoori Machli fish. The samsosas were covered in a white sauce with pomegranate seeds and looked as visually stunning as they were delicious. The Tandoori Machli was a line caught cobia fish which was charred on the outside (not sure if that was intentional) yet its flesh remained perfectly moist and succulent, and this was by far our favorite dish of the night. Disappointments: Butter Chicken & Butter Naan. The butter chicken was watery and chicken was bland. The naan was 80% burned black on the bottom and was unpleasant to eat. Honestly probably amongst the worst butter chicken & naan I've had recently. How does this place compare to say Bombay Dreams? On average, food quality is slightly better at New Punjab Club and you get some non-traditional Indian dishes such as smashed samosas and line-caught cobia. On the other hand, you pay a little over twice the price as you clearly pay for the deco and ambience. Is it worth it? I enjoyed the experience but I am likely not to come back. Note, the place is rather small. There are three booths on each side of the room which comfortably seat four persons, maybe five. Three small tables in the middle of the room sit two each. Groups bigger than five will find it a challenge to squeeze in together.

Yelp
Santa: I have tried to be good this year. Can I please have an Indian place as classy in its decor, as gracious and caring in its service, and serving as scrumptious and memorable food as this place... wherever I live in life. I rarely give 5 stars anymore, but my experience here deserves it. Hopefully the review below will show you why. Was in Hong Kong for a pit stop during an Asia work trip. My local friend suggested this place and said that given my love for food I should give it a try if I am up for it. Good food.. I am always up for it. This place is at Lan Kwai Fung (LKF) and is really busy, so when we tried to get a reservation on the same day we got a reservation for an early dinner. So, make reservations for this place. Like most places in Hong Kong the place is small and it fills up fast. Decor: The place has a modern chic decor where they have merged the traditional and have incorporated some things very reminiscent of home. The Punjab they are referring to here is the pre-independence Unified Punjab, when Lahore and Amritsar were in the same country. I never saw that time, but I am sure the food was awesome. Loved the paintings, the plates, the silverware, traditional (British traditional) tea pots for tea. The music selection playing music from Sufi to the Beatles to some more newer English songs. Least to say, I liked it a lot. But, I should get to the food. Food: Starters: Samosa Chaat, Kemma Pau, and Mogewala Paneer. All three starters were amazing. The Chaat was right on with the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, with the samosa giving a little bit of crunchiness in there. The Keema Pau was good and comes with 2 paus (buns), order at least one more as you will need it. The Paneer was also amazing. Mains: Masalewali Chanp: Indian flavored lamb chops. I need to talk about this before I get to the rest of the mains. This is a big part of my 5 stars. The lamb chops were wonderfully flavored and perfectly cooked. They were soft and flavorful, just the way you would want them to be, and the Indian flavors were unmistakable. I have not had such well made Indian flavored lamb chops before. The dish also had onions from India (Nasik) and Beetroot from Amsterdam, as I have been told. Talk about going to the ends of the earth for good ingredients. I guess they are using the geographical advantage that HK has of being one of the big transit hubs for the world. We also had the Chana Masala, Maa ki Daal and Laccha Paratha. I would order the Chana Masala and Laccha Paratha combination in a heartbeat. The Laccha paratha has many layers, like it usually has, but they add a thin layer of sugar which gives it a very unique flavor. This along with the chana masala has a very nice taste and I enjoyed it alot. The Daal was also good, but I enjoyed the combination mentioned here more. Drinks: In pure British style, this place serves a Gin and Tonic Menu to begin with. So, for all the G&T lovers, this might be a good place to stop by. We did not partake in that, rather chose to try some Indian favorites. We had a Nimbu Soda (Fresh Lime Soda with Chat Masala) and some Indian style Chai to end the meal. Both were perfect on taste. This place has two Michelin star restaurant experience chefs behind it and it shows. It is a must have place for me and I look forward to my next stop in HK so that I can try this place again. I will reserve in advance...

Yelp
My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review and thinking back to how spectacular my meal was. New Punjab Club has it all: a Wes-Anderson like ambiance, with well-appointed decor and colors and servers who feel like they're straight out of a movie (in the best way possible). Impeccable service. We started with the Samosa Chaat which was the star of the show for the night. Such a melting mixture of texture and flavors. Wow - 10/10 Next, we had the Dal Makhani, which was good but I must say a little forgettable! As I write this review I struggle to remember exactly what it tasted like. Following that, we had the Patialashahi Meat - (Lamb shank, cashews, black cardamom) - phenomenal. The lamb was cooked to perfection, with flavor all the way through. I can still imagine the taste of this dish when I think about it. This is certainly upscale- so not your come often type of place- but it makes for a great spot for a fancy date night or other special occasion.

Yelp
I liked this place a lot, and I usually do not like "this kind of place." No, really. Read on! When I come to Hong Kong, what I love to do is walk streets and bounce into cha chaan teng; I scorn any places with English signage at all, and I'm positively _contemptuous_ of all the expensive, ex-pat'ty, high windowed 'scene' type restaurants that I pass. My scorn boils down neither to spending a lot on food (I can't do it, much, but it's not like an inherently awful idea) nor to the fact that a lot of non-natives are there (_I'm_ a non-native; I like me, just fine). What it boils down to is the sense that so often these scene-y places are terrible value on dishonest premises; what they're really selling is a bit of glamour and the security of knowing you'll be looked after and shielded from the chaos of things, while served small portions of whatever for which you'll pay a lot but that's fine. So that's my whole silly jeremiad. New Punjab Club is not like that _at all_. It is, certainly, a chic scene. It's hard to get a table; the people at the tables who were able to get them are sleek and well-dressed. There is a gin & tonic cart that is pure restaurateur theatrics. But the thing is that it actually has a very high standard of service; it actually has excellent and unusual food -- the tandoori cobia I had was very memorable, unlike any preparation of that fish I've had before. Even that g&t cart wins you over: the gins _are_ fun and all that. New Punjab Club feels like its story checks out. Perhaps that's because it _has_ a story; there's a sense of connection between the restaurant's inception, the staff, and the experience that you have. It's a 'special occasion' for someone like me, and perhaps like you: it's expensive. But for those special occasions I would totally recommend it. It does what it does really pleasurably well.

Yelp
Best Indian in HK? We had a very enjoyable dinner there recently with friends. We stuck to the tandoori dishes & all of them were excellent (lamb chops, chicken & sirloin). Salads were a bit of a sideshow but were still good. Service was friendly, funny & passionate. However, be warned - this is a small restaurant in a prime location & the bill reflects this. Will def be back - if we can get a reservation...

Yelp
Really good Indian with a British feeling, I will go again when in town since the food and decorations where really appealing.

Yelp
Pretty stellar meal- lamb chops, veggie dishes, spice level on point. I can't say I loved the decor- super over the top but the food made up for it.
