"New Seasons Market, an upscale grocer from Portland, has been purchased by Metropolitan Market's South Korean parent company. The Ballard location will close, the Mercer Island location will be rebranded as Metropolitan Market, and a planned Central District outpost will be canceled, impacting the area due to previous concerns about gentrification." - Gabe Guarente

The parking situation is somewhat limited as the lot is shared with a variety of other store. The inside of the store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the selection is well curated. Prices seem in line with similar organic, healthy grocery stores. However, with a few nearby options for "organic, healthy grocery stores", there isn't really anything that stands out with this store. There isn't anything particularly wrong, the store just feels forgettable and I tend to choose the other options.

Beautiful stores with beautiful food! Well organized and organic selection is great! Friendly and helpful staff. Place is clean! Small cafe with brews and coffee available with free WiFi. Kerri the manager is awesome!

This is the best. Upscale-ish Grocery store + decent Hot bar + good wine selection + happy hour every day (with $5 glasses of decent wine) at the bar + wine tastings on Thursdays = my new fave place in Ballard (maybe only favorite place in Ballard) and best possible post-gym meal

Excellent grocery store. Produce, meat, fish, and prepared food / salad bar sections are great. Small coffee, beer, and wine bar with indoor and covered outdoor seating options. Two FREE electric car chargers 32 amp / 220 volt (~18 miles an hour) spot right out front.

Wide selection. Slightly more expensive than QFC, Trader Joes, and Fred Meyer but less than Whole Foods. Fairly knowledgeable staff, but no place is immune from deviants.

The produce looked great and the fruit and vegetables we bought were delicious. The staff are super friendly and we've been happy with their selection. My daughter likes their cupcakes as well. We definitely prefer them over Whole Foods.

New Seasons Market is the new kid on the block of the ever expanding grocery businesses in the Ballard neighborhood. My first reactions were very favorable. They carny many of the lines and items stocked by or previously stocked by Whole Foods. The market is pleasant and inviting and has a Northwest vibe to it with a heavy emphasis on their deli which is first rate and they even have a wine/beer bar with a nice swatting area. Prices overall are comparable to Whole Foods. The standout feature is their help, plenty of it with pleasant smiling people. Just walking around the store I was approached by several employees asking if I needed help and all with a smile. I don't know if it was just that shift but there were a fair number of senior citizens working there all with a good attitude. I had a BLT from their deli, made up as I waited and customized to my liking. It was top notch. I will have to make this my "new" Whole Foods substitute and will post a little later after I have shopped the store a few more times.

Beyond having one of the friendliest staff members, New Seasons really out performs in all aspects of the grocery shopping experience. From their bulk food section (the digital scale with printable labels - amazing!) to having the best produce selection, they really outshine the rest in the area. Prices are comparable to Fred Meyer, little pricier than Trader Joe's and far less than Whole Foods.
