Best Steakhouses in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"This high-end steakhouse in north Buckhead’s Monarch Tower serves only USDA Prime-grade beef, which has kept it on Atlanta’s hot list for great steaks. While it channels an old Manhattan style, there’s plenty of influence from other American cities. Oysters Rockefeller, Southwest creamed corn, seasonal stone crabs, and Pittsburgh-style prep on the steaks illustrate that perfectly. Special accompaniments like garlic shrimp, crispy lobster, or Oscar-style let guests make it their own. Reservations highly encouraged. Upscale casual dress code." - Su-Jit Lin

The 11 Best Steakhouses In Atlanta

"Come to Buckhead’s New York Prime if you like your steaks with a Pittsburgh char. All their selections are aged for 28 days and have that crispy exterior with a distinct flame-caramelized flavor and an insanely juicy interior. If you’re doing date night, get the 40-ounce tomahawk ribeye. It’s juicy and flamboyantly served alongside a massive bone that looks like it belongs in a natural history museum. Sides like their pound baked potato loaded with chives, butter, and bacon bits or crispy onion straws help round out the meal. With massive leather booths fit for a clandestine meeting, dim lighting, and an old school vibe, the dining room could easily be the setting of a Pacino or Pesci movie. Plus, they’ll make you a steak you can’t refuse. " - nina reeder, juli horsford

New York Prime Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Despite the name, this small Southern chain serves up steaks with a Pittsburgh char. All their steak selections are aged for 28 days and have that crispy exterior with a distinct flame-caramelized flavor and an insanely juicy interior. If you’re doing date night, get the whopping 40-ounce tomahawk ribeye. It’s juicy and flamboyantly served alongside a massive bone that looks like it belongs in a natural history museum. With massive leather booths, dim lighting, and a decidedly old-school secretive vibe, the Buckhead dining room could easily be the setting of a Pacino or Pesci movie. The 9 Best Atlanta Spots for Delicious Fall Cocktails | Eater

"This lively steakhouse sits at the center of Buckhead, which makes it a sought-after space for a night of fine dining. To go with your New York strip or petite filet, order the charred Brussels sprouts (it’s fall, after all), and a cognac drink. New York Prime also offers online ordering, so you can treat yourself to a steak dinner at home." - Vox Creative

New York Prime is a great steak house in Atlanta. I did struggle to find it because the GPS was taking me to Little Alley instead. New York Prime is so much better. I was greeted with free valet but recommended tipping. I had reservations and they asked us to wait but only three minutes so no big deal(: I went to the bar and ordered a drink. I got a mocktail because I liked the ingredients and they were able to make it a cocktail with vodka. The hostess seated me and my friend. We had great service. The food came out fast and as we ordered. The steak was 10/10. Perfectly cooked. I had the petite filet. The béarnaise sauce on the side was perfect. I had the loaded potato as a side and my friend got a creamed spinach. The bread options at the beginning is the only things I would change.

Customer service and ambiance were great! The Crab Cake was delicious with no fillers. The Baked Shrimp, while a fan favorite I wasn’t necessarily a fan. The lamb was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The baked potato was probably the best I’ve had in quite a while. The Cesar Salad was okay. The Alfredo was okay. The Amaretto Sour was perfection in a cup. Last but not least that Butter Cake was Amazing! I’ll be back to try a few more items. Updated Visit Reviw: So as promised I did visit again to try some additional menu items…. Again ambiance and customer service were exceptional For starters I had the Oyster Rockefeller they were decent but I’ve had better. The 3.5 pound lobster with table-side service was delicious. The baked potatoes this time was no prepared the way that first potato was prepared during my initial visit and this time around was just okay. The cheesy potato I wasn’t a fan of and the broccolini was okay. This time around my amaretto sours weren’t perfection in a cup and I stopped at one instead of 3… with every sip I could smell the rawness of the egg white which was a bit nauseating. Despite just the okay experiences NY Prime is definitely consistent on service and I love that. Everything always served hot and with a pleasant attitude.

Top Notch Classic Steakhouse with some of the best customer service in Atlanta! Ribeye and Lobster are amazing. Drinks are delicious and the vibe was perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

Was a little worried when we made reservations and read some of the reviews. Saw some comments about overhyped and somewhat overrated. Glad we didn’t listen and decided to form our own experience. From our point of view it was definitely worth the visit. Parking was a breeze, since valet is complimentary. It was a packed Friday night, and we had reservations. We showed up a a little early, but they were still able to seat us. The atmosphere is definitely a traditional New York steakhouse! It’s classy, yet lively. Just the right amount of background noise, but still able to hear each other at the table. The food definitely stood out! Started the meal with Jumbo Crab Cakes and Oysters Rockefeller! The serving size was enough to keep your stomach satisfied while waiting for the main dish. They don’t skimp on the crab meat at all! The spinach, Parmesan, and the bacon enhances the flavor of the oysters! The tomahawk for two was a beaut! The char on the steak added so much flavor and texture to the dish! They cooked the steak to the level of doneness we desired. The fat and the steak melted in our mouths! Not a lot of chewing was done during the devouring of the steak! The crispy onion straws and the cheesed mashed potatoes paired well. The potatoes had a glorious cheese pull from the melted cheese crust. Service was excellent! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive! They also have an extensive collection of spirits, including allocated bottles of bourbon! We are already planning a return visit, trying out their dinner events.

It’s my 11-year wedding anniversary, and we find ourselves in the “day after Valentine’s Day” crowd. I live an hour from Buckhead these days, so we literally landed here because they had last-minute reservations available, though early. Regardless, it was a solid choice. I’m going to start with items I would return for that’s a “must-try.” You have to get the Manhattan for a cocktail. This restaurant makes it clear that all cocktails are not created equal. It’s aromatic, well-balanced, and potent, so make sure you’re not the driver. I’d return for the crab cakes, which is truly filler-free with a delicious mustard sauce on the bottom of the dish. And third, I’d return for the New York strip. It was beautifully executed, a tad of char, perfectly seasoned, buttery and tender. Perhaps the best steak I’ve had in a restaurant. The unfortunate part is that the dishes I would return for were all of my husband’s choices, so I was at his mercy. I ordered the oyster Rockefeller to start, and while it was good, the oyster was lost a little and it could have been served warmer. Plus, in the darkness of the restaurant, I mistook the rock salt on the plate for a mound of melted cheese and found myself crunching into it with great displeasure. (You’ve been warned.) I also ordered the red fish with brown butter sauce. I couldn’t really tell that there was actually crab on top, perhaps because of the dish’s richness. However, the biggest issue was the lack of flavor. There is no better way to say it, but there simply was none. I asked our server for a pepper sauce, and she recommended a bearnaise sauce, which has tarragon. It was all the flavor I needed! It definitely helped, and I cleaned my plate. For sides, we had the creamed corn, which had layers of flavor and was really good, as well as the mashed potatoes. I didn’t eat much of the potatoes because I couldn’t tell if they were homemade or instant, and that’s not good. The cheese on top came to the rescue, but wasn’t effective enough for me to continue to indulge in it. We were full by dessert, but they gave us some complimentary chocolate covered strawberries, which were so decadent. Loved it! The ambiance was very dim and sexy, but we were seated in a section where tables are a mere 2 feet apart and right next to the kitchen. (If you click on my cheesy mashed potatoes video, you can hear the young lady at the table next to me mention something about $2,000 and sounds as if she’s at our table, or the steak video picks up the entire dialogue from their table.) Not the best seating, but the service made up for it. In all, I would return in the future. #SavoryATL

Had dinner for my Birthday! Parking and valet went smooth. Had reservations and was promptly seated. Service and server was very good no complaints. The food was good but steak was not cooked medium like ordered, it was cooked medium rare. Everything else was good love the crab cake! The vibe was great for date night, dim lights white tablecloth, and the usual steakhouse ambiance.

Google
I've never been to a place where they go above and beyond as much as the team at New York Prime does. Their service is unmatched from start to finish. We had Jake as our waiter tonight and he was top notch! We were celebrating something special and he even brought us out some prosecco on the house to add to the celebration. Everyone deserves an experience like new York prime! Not to mention how good the food is but I'll let you decide that for yourself! :-)

Google
Absolutely wonderful experience here on mother's day! We were seated promptly for our reservation. From the amazing service to the delicious food, we were so extremely happy with everything. Our waiters were so detailed oriented and organized, had all the answers to our questions. We ordered two new York strips, onion strings, and a baked potato to share. The sides are shareable portions. My husband ordered a smoked bourbon drink which he loved. We ended the night with a delicious dessert. It was worth every single penny and we can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Everything was top notch. From the moment we arrived until the time when we departed. We started our evening off with free Prosecco while we were waiting to be seated. Once we were seared, our server was prompt with his arrival and gave a thorough explanation of the menu as well as recommended a few items. For our entree, we ordered the sizzling bacon. f you want it precut you must arise the server at the rime you place the order. We forget but he was quick to get us a steak knife so that we could cut it without any issues. Flavor was fantastic and not overly salty. We both ordered drinks, but I can't remember the name of them but they were refreshing and helped prepare us for the bread service and our entrees. For entrees, we ordered the garlic chicken and the Delmonico steak which were both cooked to perfection. Normally, I go for a steak but the garlic chicken was definitely a palette pleaser. Juicy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. It was actually the highlight of the evening. For sides, we opted for the broccolini and the praline sweet potatoes which were topped with marshmallows. I should have mentioned this earlier in the review, our server was Jake and I would recommend him as a young man who has customer service down and serves as if he has been in the business forever. I will request him on my next visit. When service is that great, you definitely have to tip him well and recognize him in your review. Again, his name Jake.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday, and they made it very special. There's just something about how they prepare the steaks that makes it one of a kind. The crust is phenomenal and each dish is made with care. Additionally, I like how the sides that you order come family style, but the servers can split and portion everything out onto each persons plate if you want. The drinks are phenomenal. Yes, the price point is high but I think it's pretty reasonable for the service and quality. Special occasions are perfect for this place!!

Yelp
We came here in August for my boyfriend's birthday. Our car was left with valet and we went in to a pretty full restaurant for a Thursday night. The servers were great and very attentive. No problems with service at all. They placed a complimentary assortment of bread on the table and they were all pretty great. There was one in particular that reminded me of a cinnamon stick or something. It was really great and I love cinnamon. The charred Brussel sprouts were a little bit too charred for me. I like my Brussel sprouts a little less burnt. The cheese mashed potatoes were really good and tasty. The 8oz petite filet was cooked to a perfect medium, until I realized it was too pink and I asked them to give me medium well. They helped me realize I'm a medium well girl. My boyfriend had the bone-in 22oz ribeye medium rare. Despite it being medium rare, I did take a bite and thoroughly enjoyed the burst of flavor as it filled my mouth. Everything was flavored well and was so filling. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny here, but it's so worth it.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at NY Prime. The ambiance was vibrant, filled with the sounds of celebrations, champagne toasts, and an elegant personal touch. Our waiter was attentive, informative about the menu, and kept us updated on the timing of each course. We started with a complimentary bread basket featuring three types of bread, which paired perfectly with our appetizers--lobster bisque and Rockefeller oysters. Both were delicious and a cozy start to the meal. For the main course, I chose the steak with a side of their mashed potatoes. All sides are served family-style, and there's a variety of options to complement your entrée. The salmon was also fantastic! Overall, my dining experience here was wonderful.

Yelp
I visited New York Prime with my large family. We had an unforgettable experience of great flavored food and service on a weeknight. Service: We were met by a flexible staff who accommodated our large party for a late night dinner. Initially, they were going to seat us at two different tables. We explained that this would not be ideal and we were hoping to sit all together and they made it happen without difficulty. Food and drinks were brought to our table timely and our waiter very enthusiastically checked on us regularly and showed great personality! The music was a lot of fun-80s rock and pop. Food: The Crab cakes, Steak, and Lamb were all cooked to perfection and juicy with a traditional grilled flavor. I did not have to add salt. All sides are family style, served hot. We ordered the creamed spinach (very rich and creamy- too rich for my liking), fries (colossal fried potato wedges), fettuccine Alfredo, seafood bisque, broccolini, and salad. Great wine list and cocktails to complement. I left very full and would gladly come back!

Yelp
Hubby and I went on our date night, and completely enjoyed our dining experience. We got the absolute best service from Colton. He was so delightful and accommodating, and just a joyful presence. The food, oh my word. We are on a journey to find the best steakhouse in ATL, and oh my, the running is tight! We've had some phenomenal steaks & NY Prime did not disappoint!! All things considered, it was reasonably priced too...!!!

Yelp
Wow! Amazing from start to finish and everything in between. We started with a French martini and it was delicious! Not too sweet with a hint of pineapple and the chambord just takes it over the top. Next were the crab cakes, best I've ever had. No fillers just pure delicious crab meat. We ordered the tomahawk for two and it was cooked perfectly ! Accompanied by the charred brussel sprouts and sweet potato casserole. All so delicious. Star of the show was Colton, he was so knowledgeable and knew the menu and made some great recommendations and was on top of everything and checked on us every step of the way. He's an asset to your company for sure. Our first time here did not disappoint.

Yelp
A wonderful place for catching up with friends and a delicious meal. The drinks are top notch - I had a perfect Martini, the appetizers were a hit - order the rib, and the mains are why you come - my filet was perfect! The sides are a good compliment however I chose to focus more on my filet after filling up on appetizers so order accordingly. The staff were great here and very helpful to accommodate my colleague's dietary needs. The establishment was very laid back and you never felt rushed enjoying yourself. This was my first visit and the vibe was chill. So if you are in the area this is a great spot to check out and the valet service is a nice touch.

Yelp
I'm speaking only on the chocolate cake which is a must get either for a dessert only or to take home. It's a massive slice and comes with ice cream. So filling and flavorful.

Yelp
This service and food were amazing. The ambiance was so great the server was very welcoming informative and friendly. I definitely recommend the restaurant.

Yelp
Went there recently. Was surprised menu didn't really have a lot of options. Food was just ok. There are a lot of other better steak places in Buckhead than this.

Yelp
I had the best 40th birthday dinner here the other night. Genuinely had a great server named Jeff and was catered to like I was a celebrity. He knew his cuts of meat to the T. My husband is selective and Jeff really explained how the different meats are cut and broiled and cooked. Start with the shellfish bisque. It's heavy but oh so delicious. Also had the wedge salad and I have to say it's one of the best I've ever had. It's huge too. My main course was the seabass. Portion size is more than generous but the flavor is unreal. We also did a one pound loaded baked potato and it was MY FAVORITE PART! It was to die for amazing! For dessert Jeff brought out a cookie and some ice cream which was delicious. I honestly wish I ordered the key lime pie to go because I've been dreaming of it since. Do yourself a favor because you won't regret it, go there to dine! Asparagus is delicious and my champagne was so crisp! Ambience is delightful and cozy. Ask for Jeff!

Yelp
Came here during a work trip. Very nice restaurant. The wait staff were fenomenal and provided great service. I had the filet and we had an assortment appetizers which were great.
google avatar

Porschia E.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place for a while and finally did. Note: Depending on what GPS you use, you may not be able to find it. Google maps took me everywhere but here. After driving around a few times, I appreciated pulling up and seeing valet. The restaurant can get really crowded but we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was a lot more relaxed than I expected. I ordered the center cut rib eye and the cheese mashed potatoes. I know a center cut is smaller but when it came out, it looked more like a filet mignon. Nonetheless, it was cooked and seasoned well so I wasn't disappointed. The cheese mashed potatoes were good as well. I don't usually see restaurants put cheese on the mashed potatoes but it didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Where do i begin. The food was to DIE FOR. We had oysters Rockefeller, Caesar salad, lamb chops, delmonico steak, cheesy mashed potatoes & Brussel sprouts. Service from Aidan was impeccable. House margarita was thirst quenching. And let me tell you about the butter cake. It was mouth watering. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Belle E.

Yelp
do not let these pictures deceive you, I threw all this up 3 hours post leaving here. not to mention they came to our table almost 10 times while we were eating dessert and dropped the check while we were still eating and conversing ,almost insinuating it was time for us to leave when it was literally a hour left until closing. will never be coming back i've had way better steak that didn't poison me 3 hours from leaving
google avatar

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my birthday with fiancé and the ambiance was beautiful. I sat in their circle booth that made vibe even better. My fiancé had the 12 oz center cut ribeye that had excellent crust and seasoned to perfection in which he happily enjoyed. I had the petite steak that was prepared medium rare, nice crust, but it was okay to me. We also ordered the broccoli that wasn't seasoned and cheesy mashed potato that I could have cooked at home. The raspberry martini and lemon drop was 7 out of 10 but fiancé enjoyed his Stella Artois beer on draft. To end the night the waiter surprised me with chocolate cookie and ice cream which was a very sweet gesture. Our bill came out $260.00 for everything.
google avatar

Lissett R.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience! Service, food, atmosphere all surpassed my expectations. I definitely recommend New York Prime...

Donna H.

Yelp
Wow the food was really good. They recommend their steaks be done with this Pittsburgh Crust? It's a good recommendation. Very juicy. The service staff were so nice. Loved them. They also recommended the drink, which I liked. Can't quite remember the name (the fuzzy lemon, or fuzzy wuzzy). Loved it. And of course the ambiance was wonderful. It was a nice birthday dinner for my friend.
google avatar

Tamieka G.

Yelp
We went for Father's Day and the food and service was excellent! The ambiance was nice and casual. My husband's steak was huge, he got the prime rib. He had to get a to-go box. He really enjoyed his meal. The portions are great for what you pay for
google avatar

Maleah G.

Yelp
New York Prime is my favorite steak house in Atlanta, hands down. It's tucked away in a little corner of Buckhead, but it boasts a big presence with its ambiance and delicious food. The service is above average with exceptional attention to detail. While every waiter we've had has literally served us with perfection, Leo always takes care of us and we know that dining with him means a truly beautiful evening. I don't really want to write a review because I don't want to give up the best kept secret --- but don't waste your time with any other steakhouse! You can't go wrong with this classic choice.
google avatar

Yvonne L.

Yelp
I've lived in Atlanta for many years and never had the opportunity to try this place. Last night, I went with my family and friends and had the most amazing dinner. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we ordered several different cuts of the steak. I personally have the New York prime steak, but Oscar style. That is when they put crab meat, asparagus, and hollandaise sauce with your steak. It was absolutely delicious. My dad was the only one who didn't order a steak, And instead, he had the Seabass. He is still talking about the Seabass 24 hours later. Safe to say we will be back soon. Our waiter's name was Leo and he was so nice to my family. The place is expensive, but the quality matches the price.

Charles R.

Yelp
Terrible service! We ordered a salad and two appetizers and two steaks. They served us the salad first, and then brought our steaks out? No appetizers. I asked him to please take the steaks away and bring our appetizers. Three minutes later a food runner brings our steaks back to our table. I asked him to please take it away because we have not received our appetizers. Our steaks must've stayed underneath the heat lamp. Shame on this place to have such poor service. The maître D didn't offer to comp us a dessert or nothing. The only thing they did was apologize which really didn't cut it. There are a lot of places in Atlanta to get a good steak. Stay away from this restaurant!!!!!
google avatar

Sharitta G.

Yelp
I've always said that the people are the lifeblood of any organization and New York Prime is no exception. The reception upon entry to the level of service--including my fave bartender, Cliff--has made this restaurant one of my absolute favorite places to dine with my good sister-girl (who actually put me on). *The steak(s): well-seasoned and flavorful. *The loaded baked potato: love the table side preparation and deliciousness. It's so large that it could easily be a meal on its own (if you so choose)...you may not want to share it because it's so good LOL *Baked shrimp appetizer: perfect portion and yummy *Wait staff: just the right level of attentiveness, engaging, warm/friendly, knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu This is a good spot to celebrate a special occasion or simply take the edge off of the work week. There's always a good reason to go to New York Prime!
google avatar

Angelica D.

Yelp
I recently enjoyed a lovely evening celebrating a friend's birthday at New York Prime. The restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday and we were told that it was due to a large conference in the city. It's very dark and has typical steakhouse vibes with staff in white coats and dark furniture. I ordered a sidecar for my cocktail and it was delicious and strong. For an appetizer I got the crab cake. It was phenomenal. There was very little filling and served on top of a mustard sauce. For my entree I had a New York strip, creamed spinach and creamed corn. The steak was flavored very well and the creamed spinach was top tier. The southwest creamed corn was decent, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, the staff was great and the food was delicious.
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
New York Prime has been one of my go-to's for their amazing tasting, Oysters Rockefeller. Another neighborhood Gem that's walking distance away from me. I've had the Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Sea Bass, Lamb Chops. Only issue, I really prefer Lollipops Lamb chops instead of the 10oz Lamb Chops Lion ( big difference) although, there's seems to be more meat, my preference is Lollipops Lamb Chops. NYP has an amazing Margarita Cocktail. The Ambiance is nice more of a evening vibe with low lighting. NYP was known for live entertainment however discontinued. The service is okay. NYP gets really busy so it's understandable.
google avatar

Andrew F.

Yelp
This was my first time at NY Prime Minister the staff was friendly. Cracking jokes and making everyone feel comfortable. I am usually hesitant to take suggestions when it comes to the menu, but the waiter hit it out of the park with the stone crabs to start and the tomahawk to share.
google avatar

Makayla J.

Yelp
I'm all for paying good money for food as long as the food is good. The food in my opinion was okay especially for the price. I've also had better service at places that charge less for their food. Don't get me wrong the service was good just nothing special. It wasn't my choice to come here. I don't typically go straight towards the ritzy places because I believe they're overhyped, and they proved me right. My Thick Cut Sizzling Bacon was not sizzling, it was lukewarm and the flavor was one dimensional. The sauce it was served with added a nice sweetness to it. The Garlic Chicken came hot and juicy, however the flavors weren't popping out to me at all. I expected more and I didn't get garlicy from it at all. I don't have to come back here and I don't really recommend.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal crab cakes and New York strip!!! My wife and I came for the giant chocolate cake and that didn't disappoint either! Super fun experience and delicious food. Highly recommend

Yelp
If you're looking for impeccable service and a steak that is bursting with flavor with a slight chard on the outside then look no further. I have nothing but praises to give today. First off, when you make reservations ask for Leo, Leo is the man! He will give you great recommendations on everything and his word is true. I skeptical about the crab cake, but boy oh boy was that crab cake delicious!!! It's about the size of your fist and doesn't have fillers. The oysters were fresh and very tasty. I decided to try the fried lobster to pair with my medium ribeye steak, the fried lobster was crispy and full of flavor, but I think in the future I'll try the broiled lobster. The sides are made to share and the cheesy mash potatoes again were creamy and seasoned well. I love Brussels sprouts and these didn't disappoint. The Brussels sprouts had a nice crispiness and were tender The medium ribeye steak was prepared with the upmost care. The steak was juicy, charred on the outside and perfectly pink in the center. The flavor was exquisite with every bite and my knife cut through the steak like butter. The cheesy mash potatoes are extremely cheesy and the portion is big enough to share. Dinner ended with a a slice of NY cheese cake with strawberries drizzled on top. The cheese cake was creamy and big enough to slice in two and share. Everything about my dining experience was superb and I will be back for more and I will always ask for Leo.

Yelp
I had a reservation for 8:15 and wasn't seated until 8:30. That was slightly irritating but we had the opportunity to talk to Cliff, the bartender. He was absolutely amazing 10/10 service. The food was delicious and the side portions are large! Our server did not meet our expectations but Jacob was able to help us throughout the night and he was spectacular. I'm so impressed with Cliff and Jacob. It had such an impact on our experience and definitely would recommend to others!

Yelp
The food was exquisite in taste. The service was fantastic with Lex, he made the experience extravagant. Definitely would recommend the bacon with steak sauce.

Yelp
What can I say... everything was great at New York Prime. Went there for dinner and had the baked shrimp and a half dozen freshly shucked oysters on the half shell. For the entree, I had the 22 oz bone-in ribeye. The other person I was with had the 12 oz filet. For dessert I had the NY Style Cheesecake. We also had a couple of cocktails and wine. Everything was wonderful. The food, decor, service and atmosphere was great.

New york prime quickly became my favorite steakhouse in atlanta! All of the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the interior was not overly packed allowing for a great ambiance. Food: I got the prime rib, which I heard sells out very quickly! I understand why... it was delicious. The guy at the table behind me said that the ribeye was delicious as well and that's what I plan on ordering next time! I enjoyed the bread, but I do wish it came out warm. The italian salad and shrimp were delicious appetizers. I got the sweet potato and cheesy mashed potatoes which I loved! They also gave us a cookie and ice cream for my dad's birthday. I need to come back for the chocolate cake. Also, they made a great French 75. Service: 10/10. I had an awesome waiter. I love that they bring all of the food by cart to the tables and serve it to you. Everyone was checking on us throughout the night and refilled everything quickly. Ambiance: A lot of "fancy" steakhouses tend to be overcrowded and cramped due to the space. This restaurant is large enough where there is breathing room in between tables. It does have a bar and large tvs that were showing a football game, so it's not a Chops/Bones vibe, but still more upscale. Cons: The only con I have is location. It's tucked away, so we got lost. From some of the reviews I am reading, it looks like we weren't the only ones. However, once you find it, they have a valet out front and friendly hostesses. Can't really complain. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I love coming here the weekend! It's the perfect balance of fine dining and fun. I personally enjoy an upscale meal experience and this restaurant never disappoints! The servers are super knowledgeable and hospitable. My partner doesn't eat much of anything and the servers are always ready and willing to help create "substitutes". This often ends up in us ordering an additional entree, but we do not mind spending additional money here because it's worth it. This particular day I had the Caesar salad (it has anchovies which is my favorite!), Lamb, broccolini and cheese mashed potatoes. GET THE MASHED POTATOES. I find myself thinking about them on random days. AMAZING! Cocktails are fairly priced and are made well, you will feel it. :) I will note, the dress code is not strictly enforced. I often question what I see when I am dining, but that doesn't mean ignore it completely as they can enforce it at their discretion. Go ahead and make your reservation!

Yelp
The staff was friendly. I drank at the bar prior to dinner and had two peach lemon drop martinis, delicious. They make it an experience with pour your martini in front of you in a chilled martini glass. I ordered the fried lobster tail, pretty delicious. The steak didn't require any sauce. My Brussel sprouts where over cooked, my loaded baked potato was perfect. One thing I can say, once you have been to one steakhouse you've been to them all. I would come back if invited.

Yelp
Best steakhouse in Atlanta. Great food and great service. You can make reservations through Opentable (highly recommend doing so). Visited around 8pm on a Friday night. Started with a seafood platter of colossal srhimp, oyster rockefellar, stone crabs, and an order of the thick cut sizzling bacon. It was all delicious. Some of the best oysters I've had. For main dishes, all the steaks are served a la carte, and you order side dishes for the table. We ordered the petite new york strip, the petite filet, and the bone-in ribeye. All of the steaks were cooked perfectly. For sides we orered the brussels sprouts, hash browns, cheese mashed potatoes, fettuccine alfredo, as well as a lobster for the table. Every single dish was so delicious. Highly highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The atmosphere was dimly lit, a real nice quiet place to take a Date. Very pricey but worth the time. Validated parking. The food was very good, service was excellent. The Bathroom was very clean. The waiter was very professional. Had a wonderful time !

Yelp
It was good but not the best steak in the area. Just remember that the steaks are "Pittsburgh Style", which is a charred outside. I also had the beef carpaccio which was good. It is worth a look especially if you like a hard sear on your steak.

Yelp
I made reservations for this restaurant after reading impressive reviews but left disappointed. The music was blasting loud that I could barely hear our server. The service we received was mediocre compared to other nice steakhouses I've been to. The only highlight of this dinner was getting a complimentary bread basket before our main dish. I ordered the filet mignon cooked to medium rare and brussel sprouts while my boyfriend got the New York steak. Although the steak was tender and cooked to our liking, there wasn't much flavor to it aside from being extremely salty. I chugged huge amounts of water to wash down the saltiness. The brussel sprouts tasted bland, and frankly I think I can roast better tasting ones at home. I wouldn't return here again and recommend another steakhouse like Bones.

Yelp
I had 8:45 reservations but still had to wait about 10 minutes before getting seated. The place was packed on a late Saturday night. The service was great, the waiter was very helpful with suggesting sides for the tomahawk my partner and I ordered. The steak was definitely enough for two to split. We ordered the steak medium but it was closed to medium well. Not the best picture but if you can tell the streak and bone were a bit burnt on the ends.

Yelp
I've tried a few of the Steakhouses in Buckhead but have to give it to New York Prime, they are phenomenal! The Pittsburgh style finish to the steaks throws them over the top! The ambiance & service makes the meal feel more like an Event! I recommend the fried lobster tail as an appetizer followed by the bone in filet, if available, with the corn & cheesy mashed potatoes as sides!

Yelp
Best restaurant I have been to in a while. We had a party of 5 and were seated under the palm tree and loved the ambience. Our waiter was outstanding and I can not remember his name, a gentleman with a pony tail and glasses and exceptional knowledge and service. My highlight was the lobster which he suggested and that and the baked potato were prepared table side. A classy detail was the candle warming the butter for the lobster. Also enjoyed the brussel sprouts and creamed spinach and servings were large enough to share. My friend ordered the stuffed chicken which looked great. Visiting from California I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Yelp
I have to give the restaurant credit , I came on thanksgiving at 6:30 and the place was a madhouse. Customers that had eaten earlier were not getting up to leave to allow customers with new reservations to be seated. I guess due to the holiday customers were camping out at their tables catching up with family long after dinner ended. Only issue is that's not how restaurants work. Move it people. To the front desks credit they remained calm and polite in the face of some upset customers not being seated at their reservation times. Luckily I was eating by myself and it was much easier to get a table for two since most parties were large. On to the food and service once I was seated. I had a wedge salad , 8oz filet with grilled asparagus and lyonnaise potato's with key lime pie for dessert. The wedge salad was good but pretty basic. It could have used a shot of good balsamic vinegar to add some depth to it The steak was very good. In some of the reviews I scanned prior to my visit they mentioned the excessive char on the outside of the steak. I did not find this to be the case. The style of steak served here does have a little more char than I have had in the past but it was not excessive and I rather liked it. The steak was cooked to exactly to the temp ordered , med rare. The sides of asparagus and potato's and the key lime pie were very good. No comments other than I liked them as is and would order them again. As far as service goes my waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even with the massive crowds the kitchen was able to get my order out in a very reasonable time with all items cooked perfectly. I am looking forward to trying this place again on a normal Saturday night to see what they look and sound like under normal conditions.

Yelp
First class dining experience My husband selected New York Prime to celebrate my birthday. What an exceptional choice! The customer service was top notch. Even though we were a little early for our reservation, we were quickly seated. It was a lovely ambiance throughout the dining area, low lighting which allows for privacy and a more intimate setting. Our meal was quickly prepared and served hot. My husband selected crab cakes with onion rings and I selected sea bass with creamed spinach. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Equally as exceptional as our meal was our server for the evening, Donte. He was warm and friendly. He treated us as if we were personal guests in his home. He was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings and made several excellent suggestions for our dining options.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant. We were a party of 6 and our server and wait team were outstanding! Everyone's steaks were cooked as ordered and tasty without added sauce. Bar drinks were well crafted and dessert was delicious. The only thing we didn't care for were the huge steak fries that were more like a quartered potato. The waitress did try to tell us a half order would be enough.
