New York Vintners

There is nothing like this in New York City. I have never seen a place more representative of the mystique of the wine world. The concept is led by two incredibly hospitable and gracious people who are unbelievably knowledgeable about wine, and the craft, the art, the wine regions, and producers. Walking into Vintners is not like any normal or regular wine shop. It is an opportunity to interact and to learn and to engage in the world of Wine. You always — with 100% certainty — will be able to purchase or try something super unique, delicious and special with a story. Whether you are new to wine, just drink it recreationally from time to time, or are an aficionado — this place is 100% your go to.

There are many places to buy wine in Manhattan but New York Vintners is my absolute favorite. This place is more than just a wine shop. Their staff is so knowledgeable, which is not surprising given most of them are sommeliers. Always on hand to pick out the perfect bottle. A fantastic selection of Italian wines; great price/value as well and always something new when I go in. Finally, they do some really fun wine classes, where you can go and try a bunch of different wines with food pairings. I highly encourage you to grab a couple of friends and make it a party! It really is the best time!

Great! Had a class with a friend - enough wine and snacks to have. Spent a while after class just talking. Very nice & clean venue.

Bought classes for my bf for his birthday. When we arrived, the doors were locked. We waited outside in the rain with another couple for 20 minutes. There was no phone number so I emailed the person from NY Vintners I had been communicating with to let them know we were outside knocking. Finally a guy who said he worked in the kitchen came out and said that the weekend classes had been canceled friday. When I asked why they didn't notify anyone who had bought tickets, or have a note on the door or anything, he said he didn't know. The other couple waiting said it was the second(!) time they came to a class and the doors were locked with no notification. Don't waste your time or money. There are other great wine experiences in this city.

Though there are many wine shoppes in TriBeCa let alone Manhattan, NY Vintners is superior in every regard. Many times, I have been in the shop to purchase or even browse and I've been offered a glass of wine, schooled on history and just overall had an AMAZING experience. If you ever have the opportunity to take a class here - JUMP at the chance! The classes are amazing, delicious and worth every penny and more. The instructors are wonderful and completely without pretense. The owner is a prince of a man, as are all of the fantastic employees. I wish I could work here. I'd be the happies girl in the world!

The store is beautiful, the staff very friendly and are currently without charge making and giving away dinner. With a super delicious bottle of Bandol I devoured a bowl of scrumptious lamb curry. What a treat! Thank you!!!

Shane knowing my love for Italian wines sent me over a bottle of 1998 Salamartano . It was magnificent! I needed a case for my wine cellar so I could enjoy it with my family and friends 👏👏👏

Great selection. Lovely atmosphere. Very kind and attentive owners. Was so lucky to find this place open in the 4th of July.
