This is a Japanese restaurant with Japanese proprietors who are also the staff. I do not reject Japanese food prepared by persons who are not Japanese, but I usually enjoy it more when it is prepared by Japanese persons. I ordered only two things: the "oyster fry" and negi hama. Each was wonderful. The oysters have panko crust and are served on a bed of finely shredded cabbage with a dark thick sauce that I feared would be sweet but was not. The cabbage was delicious taken in the same bite as half an oyster. Few Japanese restaurants I have been to offer oysters. They told me their preparation was "very Japanese." The negi hama was fresh and tasty. Now two visits. I have only seen spinach gomae on two restaurant menus ever. This version is slightly sweet, very good, with mostly whole roasted sesame seeds. The small house salad is tasty and a notable value. My friend liked the oyster fry so much that he ordered a second one promptly after he finished the first one. Not cheap, not expensive. Prices commensurate with service, ambience, quality. Parking easy.
