Google
What an excellent farmer's market. It's a great place to grab fresh fruits and vegetables. And accessories to your garden. The staff is so outgoing and so friendly. I enjoyed every minute I was there. Stop by and get your fresh fruits and vegetables.

Google
- good outdoor plants price and fruit selection - My friend and I passed this place on the way to the trail and we wanted to check it out, and it turned out it's the nursery/produce store that I found on Google the night before. It's actually larger than I thought with a good selection of trees (maple/fruit trees), outdoor plants, and indoor plants. We even saw a hummingbird having a good time in the greenhouse xD! The price on the fruit trees are decent, and some of them are already producing fruits. The produce looks fresh as well with a lot of interesting fruits that I rarely see elsewhere. I got a lemon drop melon to try, and it was quite interesting. The downside of this place is that there are only two registers, and they don't really show you the price per lb they used, so it's easy to make mistakes on their end. If you are a careless person who doesn't like to spend over 10-15 minutes waiting in line to check out, I recommend you skip this place since the traffic is high even during weekdays.

Google
This is an excellent farmer's market. It's a great place to pick up fruits and vegetables as well as items to add to a garden such as flowers. The staff are outgoing and friendly, and it's always well taken care of even during bad weather months.

Google
First time visiting this market. Absolutely beautiful and so many different offerings. Clean, fresh produce and quality plants and flower baskets. Very friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely shop here again.

Google
First impression: bad customer service, not friendly at all. Plus, I came to get local fruits and veggies because I want to support my community, but I only saw items from other countries and states. Next time, I will stick with the farmers' market. I am only giving 3 stars for the nice lady who bagged my groceries; she was wearing glasses, otherwise, 0 stars.

Google
This is such a fantastic plant shop and yard stand. It's Halloween season so they have many varieties of pumpkins. Including the warty ones which are my fave 🎃

Jan Lawrence

Google
We are so lucky to have this in our neighborhood. It is so important to support our local businesses. The produce is always fresh. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Google
This is a wonderful place if you want to buy plants for your garden or pick up some excellent produce.

Yelp
Came here because they had an event for Halloween. They were giving out candies and had a hay ride for kids to ride. It's was completely free and they gave all the kids a bag of apples to take home. Really nice to see a local store to do something nice for the community for free. Will absolutely start coming back here for fruits and vegetables just to support them. Btw their fruits and vegetables are not overly expensive.

Yelp
Christmas decorations are taking hold! Most of the veggies are not present. But I was able to buy some apples, oranges and a Christmas Fern. I just wanted to grab a few things and take a look at the trees. Just looking! My days of a huge Christmas tree are over but it's fun to look. If you are in the market and have the space for a large beautiful tree this is the place. I didn't look at prices but the trees are gorgeous. And it looks like they're just getting all the other holiday stuff out. It is only the first of December. Looking forward to heading back to see all the of the decorations up and lit up. Happy Holidays yelpers! SYOY.

Yelp
One of our favorite local spots to grab plants and fresh produce. They have a wonderful selection of indoor and outdoor plants and their staff are always so helpful when I have a question.

Yelp
Great customer service today. I forgot catnip plants and she let me run a get a couple while she was ringing me up! Then I forgot the birdbath I had them hold for me and they let me jump in and pay for it! Thank you! I love this place!

Yelp
How awesome is this place?! I have driven by this business hundreds of times over many years and finally was like enough! I must go in and see what they are about. Newcastle Fruit and Produce reminds me of someone who set up a small fruit stand and just kept adding onto it over the years. It consists of a variety of tents that has a variety of produce. My friend and I came right before Halloween and were amazed about the variety of pumpkin species. I didn't even know some of those pumpkins existed! They had a wide variety of seasonal produce with many different types of gourds, apples, and vegetables. They had prepackaged mixes for pies. It was a nice variety of a bunch of stuff that reminded me of freshness and fall. It was cool. I believe I saw employees while I walked around but if they were they weren't clearly identified and no one asked my friend and me if we needed any assistance or had any questions. Which was fine since we were just looking around but if we needed assistance not sure if we would have readily found it that particular day. It was a neat location!

Yelp
This review is based on the Christmas tree selection. The employees were a little cold (no pun intended). One of 3 offered to help. Once the tree was shaken and netted (which, I've never had a Christmas tree wrapped before!), we were handed a ticket and told to go to the cashier. They helped us load it into our car. I'd say service is prompt and curt That doesn't matter or effect my review because: This literally has the best smelling trees with the fullest branches I've ever seen. 6-7ft noble fir $100. 5-6ft $80 Pricy. Yes. Could you get it for $70 elsewhere? Yes. Am I encouraging you to buy local from this place and spend a little more? Yes.

Emerald L.

Yelp
Products and pricing are fine BUT Avoid Delivery! I purchased a cherry tree and paid for delivery (within 4 miles). Was told they can deliver in 2-3 days..stopped by and was told to expect by Sat (a week)... Sat came and gone and heard NOTHING.. called again and was told to expect by Monday... again no delivery or any communications at all and only to find out that they closed on Monday. Stopped by on Tuesday and the cashier said they don't know anything and cannot tell me when the tree will be delivered (yes we saw the tree still sitting at the nursery for 10+ days and most of the Sakura were gone and left with branches). I asked to cancel the transaction and a full refund instead. Will Not shop here again!

Yelp
What an amazing selection of beautiful produce and plants! We grabbed some peaches that looked amazing and perused the dahlia plants gazing at the beautiful colors. Good to have another option beyond farmers markets for great quality oroduce

Yelp
We love Newcastle Fruit & Produce. Produce items always top-notch. Creative packaging for fun gift ideas Plant selection and quality very impressive. I just need to live on 2 acres to have room for everything that catches my wife's eye-and a backhoe to plant it! Trouble is, when I run out to get fresh ingredients I seldom think of this place. That needs to change!!!

Yelp
Newcastle Fruit & Produce is a nice place to visit for some plants, fresh fruit, specialty foods or a gift or two. I hardly ever visit Newcastle, but while in the area I spotted Newcastle Fruit & Produce, so decided to check it out. It's definitely worth exploring, especially if you're a plant parent. I love tropical plants, so am a sucker for nurseries. I'm always on the hunt for some plants even though I don't need more. But Newcastle Fruit & Produce has some gems here. They had a good range of different plants, depending on what you're looking for, with an outdoor area and some plants in the indoor space. There's fresh fruit sold here, as well as specialty food items, like local jams, chocolates, etc. Parking is plenty in the gravel lot. Though I don't often yonder to this neck of the woods, I'm glad to know Newcastle Fruit & Produce is here for some greenery and gifts. Located in the main business area of Newcastle, you won't miss it if you're on the hunt.

Yelp
Their orange creamsicle melon is AMAZING!!! I've never experienced such a delicious melon, y'all HAVE to try it!!! Also their donut peaches are great too!

Yelp
the people here are so kind. Jodi was extremely informative and knowledgeable of the tree we wanted to buy. she took time to give us detailed care instructions and made sure we had the compost and fertilizer necessary. we really appreciate the extra kindness and thought, it's clear that she really cares about the customer and wants them to be happy + have the knowledge to grow a thriving plant. please give Jodi our thanks. however I would advise training other staff to be more friendly, some just seemed like they didn't want to be there which likely explains the lower rating on this place. For our experience w Jodi that's 5/5 star.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a community institution in Newcastle. The fruit and produce is worth stopping for, as is the selection of Washington made artisan foods. I love to shop here. But it is also a great little nursery with several very knowledgeable employees who can help you select the right plants for your yard. I also love to be able to get bagged Carpinitos Brothers top soil and mulch for garden projects.
google avatar

Renata C.

Yelp
Cool old-school spot with rustic feel, integrated produce market, great staff, and reasonable prices. Very knowledgable and helpful folks. Had everything we needed for our patio gardening and to start raised beds...and more. Ill be back!

Yelp
I love this place. I got a new fuchsia pot for my home and it absolutely adorable. Also I love getting all the fruits for my pressed juice. Lots of variety of plants!

Ketan H.

Yelp
Great selection of fresh fruit and vegetable. Much better than the produce available in the local grocery stores. A little more expensive, but the higher piece is worth it, especially seasonal fruits.
google avatar

Kathy M.

Yelp
First of all they have parking which is great. But that's about it. The parking lot is gravel.. be careful with your car tires. They have a big variety of produce, but a lot is old and definitely not freshly picked. A few watermelons I saw had mold on them. I was hoping to get fresh strawberries but they turned black. Rainier looked half rotten were $10 a pound and grapes $7 a pound. Credit card not accepted below $5. Please save yourself a trip and go to your local trader joe's or some other place.

Christine C.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great produce, and pLants! Visit weekly And always find so many new things to grow
google avatar

Edna D.

Yelp
Smaller than other fresh produce and nursery I've been to but their veggies and fruits are great! Nice and friendly staff and dog friendly too!
google avatar

Donut D.

Yelp
Overall good quality of fruits, produces and plants. Their flowers bloom beautifully in their garden. I've gotten peaches and watermelon from them, both were good quality and sweet. The cashier noticed that one of my peaches had bruised, and quickly replaced it for me.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
This is my favorite plant nursery of all. I have purchased 4 large palm trees from them. Dave the owner is incredibly friendly and honest. Their prices are super reasonable and can even deliver for flat rate if you are within 20-30 minutes from their nursery. They offer a large variety of trees and plants along with fresh fruits and vegetables. I highly recommend this nursery and visit it frequently. I just need to tell myself to stop buying more palm trees as I am out of room on my property :-)
google avatar

Yelp
Picked up some of the bi-color sweet corn. Everyone loved it. Sweet, fresh and delicious. Grab a few, this is straight from the farm.

Yelp
We've bought a watermelon 2 days ago for the party, it says " juicy and sweet" but it's hard, chewy,no juice and almost no sweet...all of our friends agreed this is "the worse watermelon ever they've tasted". We each had first bite then dumped it. And I found their plants are bit pricy.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I was so overjoyed that the stand was open again that I had to stop in. I hadn't been in for years and thought it would be good to support a local business. While some items were overpriced, I picked up a few items I could use that were local and a good price. Unfortunately, the tomatoes, strawberries, and even the red onion (?) were all rotten within a week. It seems like everything the stand is selling is close to going bad, but at much higher prices than the local QFC. Cheaper - yes, if you buy certain items but not if they are rotten within 2-7 days.
google avatar

Suzanne N.

Yelp
Excellent selection of shrubs, trees and flowers. A favorite place to shop for our garden. Added a tall stunning maple tree to our yard. Also amazingly fresh, large produce selection. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went at 9am and bought a 10' Noble Fir for $169. Its comparable to what we usually pay other places. They shook the needles odd with the shaker machine, netted it, and tied it on our car. We were in and out is there in under a half hour.

S M.

Yelp
Have to pay attention when paying at this place!!! We saw big signs while driving by so we stopped; this was our first time visiting this place. First of all, most vegetables are not quite fresh, cucumbers had slime underneath,; there was a big bin of Kabocha squash but it took us awhile to find one that wasn't too bad. When we were paying for the squash and apples, the lady at the cash register charged us $1.99 per pound for the squash, I pointed out to her the big display that says $0.98 per pound. She then proceeded to charge us $1.69 pound, I pointed out to her again, she then said "oh" and charged us $0.99 per pound. Not sure if she did this intentionally, but the lesson is we had better be paying attention while paying for our purchases. Will not come to this place again.
google avatar

Moon D.

Yelp
Delightful place to visit!! Great produce! Beautiful Plants .Great location. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Highly recommend this place. Decent prices.
google avatar

Jan S.

Yelp
The produce here are way overpriced and not fresh. It's at least double or triple price than normal grocery store/ farmers market without being fresh at all. On top of that, the woman at cash register was extremely rude when she found out our purchase was only few dollars and wants to charge extra for cards when there's no sign saying credit card limit. I read some other reviews, and it seems like many other people had similar awful experience with that woman at the cash register. Shitty business. I will never return again. Definitely stay away.

Yelp
Never made it past the veggies for sale... but loving our new spot. Will someday check out the rest of the place :-) cool people and great stuff. (Only 12 or so visits... many more to come!)

Yelp
My (now) wife and I wanted to serve fruit at our wedding as it is customary in both our culture. We browsed around Saturday afternoon a week before the event and found this place on Yelp. We decided to drop by, not really sure what to expect and what we were exactly looking for either. The moment we arrived we knew we were at the right place. They have a big selection of fruit and everything was super fresh, juicy, and delicious. We browsed around and tried the samples before approaching the staff for more information. Everyone was super helpful right off the bat. They took 20 minutes to show us around, helped us pick the right fruit and quantities, and even showed us their cooling room. They offered to pack up all the fruit a couple days in advance and have it all ready for pick up the day of the event. They knew exactly what they were doing and it just felt great to know we were in good hands for our big event. The day of the event we just showed up in the morning to pick up everything and we're in and out in no time. Our guests all loved the fruit and it looked beautiful on the tables. Huge fan!! People, serve fruit at your events, your guests will appreciate it! :-)

Steph M.

Yelp
I stopped by today and I absolutely love this place! Super friendly, helpful, and kind staff. They have such beautiful plants! I wish I had room for more...

Yelp
Great produce stand located in a large striped tent with a generous amount of surrounding space to showcase plants, flowers, trees. Very good selection of fresh fruit and veggies... some hard to find. Love to buy my fruit to make jam from here. This is also a plant nursery. They close for the year right after Halloween, but during the Holiday season, they sell Xmas trees and wreaths. They have a wonderful selection of flowers, veggie starts, herbs, garden art, and super large plants like bamboo, palms, etc. In the Fall, they sell really unusual varieties of pumpkins and gourds, like Cinderella or Cheese pumpkins, etc. Also they sell things like wind chimes, pottery plant pots, salad dressings, candy, etc. Love their selection. Dislikes: Some employees are rude and impatient. Don't like that. Prices also can be really reasonable, but at times expensive-- depends on the item. Also: Dislike the new parking arrangement. There used to be parking in front, but the City of Newcastle made them change it. Now there is only parking on the side, whcih is harder to get in and out of. Overall, a good place with great selection for flowers, herbs, pots, fruit and veggies.
google avatar

Elisabeth E.

Yelp
I came here to get some herb plants, and I found that the selection was very limited. I had trouble finding the herbs and was unable to find anybody to help me. There were no prices that I could see. I wandered around and went into the tent where produce was where I was met by an employee that stated "You can't be in here!" This individual could have stated I'm sorry, this area is closed. I said that I was sorry and didn't realize it was closed as I didn't see signs from the direction I came in from and this person made sure to follow me out to make sure I left. While being escorted out, this man kept saying I had to fill out a form if I wanted to buy produce. I stated multiple times that I would go elsewhere, because I preferred to pick my own. I will NEVER come here again!!
google avatar

Joy H.

Yelp
I discovered this place through Living Social as well and am super glad that I did - where else am I going to get my current obsession of pluots (plum + apricot cross) at a reasonable price?! AND their honeycrisp apples are the cheapest in town ($0.99-$1.49/lb)! Their produce have been fresh and sweet and though they may not be the prettiest things to look at (i.e. apples have some blemishes or are not waxed), they are amazingly delicious! Their parking lot is gravelly and the stand has some muddy parts with standing water - so don't wear your white Christian Louboutin heels here!
google avatar

Aletta T.

Yelp
I have gone here the last 4 years I have lived in the area. Never really had an issue. Until now. We love the apples they sell every year and always have gone back for them. We bought a Christmas tree last year and I loved it. I don't know what happened, but we went this year and I paid a lot of money for our tree. Over $100 dollars.....We got it home and put it in water right away. It was worrisome to me that it would make it to Christmas within a few days. When I called the lady I talked to said "I'll probably get in trouble but bring it back".. Remind you, I have 3 kids and have already decorated the tree....not something I WANT TO DO.... We brought it back and the owner helped himself to our truck to pull it out and then argued with me saying, "I'm not trying to argue with you" ... this tree is perfectly fine and I will put it back on the lot and sell it. I bet needles while they broke in front of him and ran my fingers on the branch while needles fell off... but ok. After that my husband heard them cussing and talking about me while he was in the bathroom. I don't know about the rest of you, but $110 dollars is a lot of money to spend on a tree. Being someone in the business of customer service, I would gladly make things right.. in front of, and out of sight of my customers. It's just the eight thing to do. This seems to speak volumes about their integrity in my opinion.
google avatar

Monica Yamel A.

Yelp
This place it really cute. It's kinda in the middle of all these businesses. You just drive and all of a sudden you see all these plants which they have a huge selection of. They don't just have plants but they have a really diverse produce section too. They usually have a sign out front saying what their special deal is. I know for a while it was 10 avocados for 10 dollars. They even have some fruits I've never even heard of before like tear drop grapes and all kinds if berries. They even have samples sometimes. The employees are really hard working. I always see some people outside watering all the plants, which there are probably hundreds of, or inside restocking the produce. The whole place looks amazingly organized and we'll maintained.
google avatar

Emil Z.

Yelp
Older lady at the cash register needs to learn some manners , and consider people around her before she starts screening at the customers that did not park to her standards . I mean I get it but starting to screen so two year old girl breaks in tears. Wow just wow.
google avatar

Troy C.

Yelp
These people do the right thing! We get our Christmas Trees from them every year, and this year a mistake was made with the tie down ... hey mistakes happen. I get it. The tree fell off the roof of our car, and the stand scraped the paint. I called the stand, and the owner immediately came up the road and personally helped put the tree back on the roof, and tie it back down. He then covered ALL of the costs to get the paint repaired and paid for the rental car my family and I needed to use while our car was being fixed. Again ... mistakes happen, but what people do to correct them is what really matters They have a customer for life with me and my family!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
I really like this place because the workers are so nice. I don't usually come here to buy plants, but rather their produce. I don't know where all their produce comes from, but they are very delicious and fruits are juicy. You just have to watch your spending, because you can get enthralled by it all and spend quite a bit (prices are a bit higher than grocery stores). I was looking forward to seeing more yart, but they did not have much when I visited here about 4 days ago. Perhaps it was picked over? The solar globes shaped like the flamingos that you see in their photos were nil. Oh well. Maybe try to catch them in early spring next year.

W K.

Yelp
I'm working remotely and wanted to send a friend a sympathy gift of a Meyer lemon tree. No one had any, but these guys were amazing! They not only had some, I was able to get one with blossoms, and they were so friendly and also arranged for very short-notice delivery. And the delivery person actually took time to educate my friend on care, feeding, seasonal placement information. And friend noted that they go there for good produce! I'll be visiting when I get back to the area! THANK YOU Newcastle Fruit & Produce!!!
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
Great prices and a wide variety of fresh produce. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable

Valerie G.

Yelp
It is my Spring to Fall "Go To" place for fruit and gardening needs. The fruit and vegetables are fresh and delicious. The staff is always helpful and very pleasant. They always go over and above to help. One of my very favorite places!!!

Play E.

Yelp
My wife and I was there a couple of weeks ago. We place our order for fruits and vegetable. The people behind the counter pick our order. They made a mistake and pick the wrong vegetable and both the fruit and vegetable where over ripe which we had to throw out the next day. If we cannot pick our own product then I'll wait to go back on when the area opens up. For now I'll just go to the regular stores.
google avatar

Suzan B.

Yelp
Eat the produce from here and you'll never buy produce from a grocery store again. Look for what is ripe. Try the melons, especially the orange melons. They are getting more organic lately, they typically haven't had much. I'm glad to see more coming in. They have beautiful plants here, and garden supplies, but I just come for the produce. Orange-cicle melons are amazing. Great peaches, strawberries, and other produce. Just look for what is most ripe that day. You'll be amazed!!
google avatar

Julian H.

Yelp
Great selection, usually better than the grocery stores, and often closer to ripe without being past due. Great lettuce, much better Romaine than Safeway. Prices are often lower, esp. for herbs, but not so for berries: Safeway often runs sales that will beat the fruit stand's regular prices on Strawberries, cherries, etc. handily. Their plant prices seem very high, and their flower selection is not very good.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
You can't miss the big red and white striped tent on the side of Coal Creek Parkway. During the summer months, it comes alive with flowers, plants, bark, soil, produce, Armenian sweet bread, fresh salsa, honey sticks, etc. In the winter, it turns into a Christmas tree lot. The parking area is small, but customers move in and out pretty fast. I've found it to be a reliable source of good produce. The selection of beautiful berries makes me weak in the knees, and there are always a few bunches of good looking baby bok choy. The workers are genuine and friendly. Despite the stream of large SUVs, Newcastle fruit stand has maintained a great neighborhood feel.

Yelp
Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree! (mumble mumble mumble mumble) Don't know the song... heh Fantastic selection of trees!! :D Even so late in the game (dec 17th). I guess there is a wider selection, different types, of trees when you start looking around Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, that was not me. I started looking when it seemed too late. And what I was left with was a huge selection of gorgeous noble firs, a few middle sized Douglas with some sad holes and these magical trees which I forgotten the name of.. spruce maybe? Regardless - I chose one of the magical trees with pretty bluish-green needles. When I was ready to go, I had someone immediately by my side to help me get the tree ready for the trip home. The trimming of the trunk and tying down to the roof of the 4runner took probably 10 minutes or less. It was awesome. And then they wrung me up. Dun dun dun... - kidding - heh. I was a little nervous about them taking credit cards but they do and I did an internal sign of relief and shortly thereafter I found out I got 15% off my tree. Rock on!! So ya - I know where I'm going next year! AWESOME!!
